The "E2" ( Ergonomics squared ) grip is designed for less bulky, shorter reach fitment...by several mm's. The "short reach" trigger is different than the "short-reset" trigger, 'tho both go by the same TLA ( Three Letter Acronym ) SRT.
Have the same pistola, it’s a good one. Got mine used for around 640 in 2017. They have gone up in price quite a bit since then of course. Still a nice piece. 👍🏻
You can get an m18 slide and pop it on any p320/m17/m18 grip module. Also, your m17 is based off of the military model (m17/m18) and they have manual safety, so firing by itself shouldn’t be an issue.
👍So many choices, so little time :-) Nice ones! Just bought a police trade n P229 w/ DAK trigger. I want to replace the grips but having a hard time finding w/ the inset “SIG” (in center) medallion. Any help locating such would be greatly appreciated. (SUBd)
Dude you got some small girly hands. If you like the sig sauer brand get you the P365 which will fit you just right. All and all the P229 is a great gun i have one myself with the hogue grips and wouldn't trade it for anything else.
But best over all deals I saw was a 229 and 226 DAK in 40 at a gun show for around 300ish the dealer looked a little shady and that price was really out of the ordinary unless he was really hard up for money those looked pretty new and another 229 dak 40 that was used but like 300ish I had just bought mine so I'm like I don't need another P229 then I'm like dang could of bought it and sold it for more or just keep it I went back but it was gone I'm like dang that was practically giving it away
I switched to the CZ P-01. IT’s everything the P229 could have been. My P229 grips suck as the ergonomics of the gun are terrible. It’s the only gun I would ever sell . It’s like shooting a brick. Was hoping the Hogues would be better…. Not just slimmer , but also better for palm placement . There is a reason you don’t see P229’s or P226’s in USPSA.
@@Hammy1088 You need to try the cz 75 p-01 or the p-10c or p-07 or 75 compact. The 75's just melt into your hand and you can do SA with a safety and the short trigger reach or DA.
The E2 was actually designed for small hands and was well received by police depth, I love the E2 grip for my hands its perfect.
Thank you for the honest review. That's an expensive purchase so its good to know you don't see much change. Thank you!!

You can use curved plier grips to pry the E2 off.
Don't worry about $1100.00 I just paid $1350.00 for the Elite version. It hurt but worth it.
Same here in CA
I have a P229R on the way, $800 pre-owned and with no signs of use. Feed ramp is perfect.
I have the Sig P229 with the E2 grips. Great pistol for me.
I just bought a p229 elite. I bought these same grips. I think they look nice. I paid 90 bucks for them on Amazon.

This is an older video but have you ever tried the old factory 229 grips? They are like$30 from sig and felt better than the e2
Add the SRT trigger and 18 lb spring for more improvements.
I did. helped a little.
Greetings from Peru. Can you make a video comparing that grip vs the G19? Thanks.

I'm gonna do that . Thanks
You should really try a CZ P-01 with some aftermarket grips!!
damn thought I had small hands
I hate those E2 grips, they would be much better if they were screw down. I just got the 40 S&W version of the P229 LE turn-in. I really like it.
E2 grips are as thin as you can get.

Try sig website

Yea I think so.

Dude I got mine for $700 I was like it's used right the dealer is like nope new I'm like ill take it
Daaaaaaamn. That's good.

With your small hands get a cz they are smaller framed
Get the hex grip screws
I don’t think it’s the gun. Es las manitas que tienes home boy
229 nice gun old school. Sounds like you paid a little too much for it but it's a nice piece.
Yea I paid way to much for it. Rip off I think
Yeah I think he got ripped off by gun dealer, where he bought it from. I paid $954 with tax for my p229 legion ( from Grabagun dealer in TX).

I have small hands too so I like CZ guns and smaller guns.
I never shot a cz.

@sycamorebacker1 I'm gonna see if ny local shooting range has it for rent
Never change the trigger on your carry or home protection gun. You can go to jail. Look it up.
I'll check it out.
