I just purchased a P229 40 s&w da/sa LE turn in, reconditioned by Sig in a Red and black cardboard box for 742. OTD. So far no issues or malfunctions 80 rounds of fmj thru it as I write this, 4 weeks in, I'm very happy with this pistol.
The P229C is prone to extraction issues, whereas the P229 is flawless. Many P229Cs have been shipped back to Sig for repair. May have something the do with the shorting of the barrel and other parts. My P229 in 357 Sig has never had a hiccup. It’s built like a tank, yet still concealable. Nice shooting!
I didn't know that. Thank you for the information. I actually don't have it anymore. Just didn't really care for how it shot the more I ran it. I guess my preferences changed.
Absolutely hate that I sold mine years ago! Been kicking myself for the last few years for that mistake. trying to find a p229c sas nowadays is nearly impossible.
Gun looks nice! Your brass seems to fly everywhere, no consistent pattern. Ejector spring might need adjusting, or like you said, it was ammo related. More rounds will tell the tail there. Love Sigs and this one looks to be a winner too. 👍🏻
do what I did used and police trade in 2 years ago cost me a little over 400 look around for a deal and stay away from steel ammo it will stick in your chamber and beat on the extracter
Literally impossible to find ANY mention of this gun in 9mm…which you and I have…if found, they’re usually in 40 cal., but 9mm is, from what I’ve discovered, very hard to find…there’s even an article claiming (by the author) the wish that this model be made in 9mm by Sig.

Thats outstanding.
the 229c fall in between the 229 and the 224.. it has the slide and the barrel of the p224 with the full grip of the p229. I have one in 357 sig
That's good info to have. Thank you.

I like how my 226 mk25 shoots, it may be an inch longer?

I don't have it anymore actually. Thank you for the information though.
This reminds me of the 228
I don't have any experience with one. I'm sure it's a good one though.

I have heard that a couple of times actually. Didn't realize it was kind of rare.
That gun can't be carried cocked and locked period
Never tried it to be honest with you. And as of now I don't have it anymore.
