    The 8 people who disliked this video simply could not afford the Sig.

    I ride the slide lock on all sig's . But still consider them one of the best defense pistols out there. And I've had pretty much everyone. Carrying a Gen 5 19 now. But also have had a few Berettas 92x.

    Thanks for the video - I love this gun and did my concealed handgun test using one many years ago. Since then, for a main carry gun, I have gone thru Glocks (4), P320 and have decided to buy the Sig P229 DA/SA for my 20 something year old sons. Why? Because I am absolutely convinced that for self defense outside the home ,IMHO, you have to carry a pistol with "one in the chamber" and the Glocks and P320 just require precise trigger handling/protection ,100% of the time they are outside of a stiff holster, to prevent an AD - and my sons just are not "there" yet in their frontal brain lobes. Soooo - the best thing for them in a semi-auto pistol is a loaded chamber in a DA pistol. I could do a DAO but prefer the SIG DA/SA because of the excellent SRT on the P22X series and that they are the most widely used tested platform out there

      Thanks for your perspective. I believe this is all about training / practice and not about the trigger. It's about the users comfort and confidence with their skills and their trigger discipline. If the DA/SA trigger is preferable to you and your family, then it's a great choice!
      I've seen people do stupid things and get NDs with DA/SA pistols. Striker fired guns aren't more prone to NDs provided the user is properly trained. Personally I've seen two NDs with people who had a DA/SA pistol and were were lazy with their trigger finger after they were off the target guns in in SA at that point. I Seen one where the guy didn't decock the gun before going to holster and his jacket cinch string got into the trigger and holster (boom)...
      Also saw one with a tuned DAO competition gun that the user was prepping the trigger (pressing the trigger) before he was on target. It DQ'd him from the match as he shot through the barrier.
      Too many people don't train, attend classes and practice. And too many gun owners ignore the four runes of firearm safety.
      At the end of the day, train, practice and repeat!

    Has the slide ever failed to lock back because of grip, on the legion series of Sigs you have shot?

    • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC
      @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC  6 лет назад

      Yes, it has. Has to do with where my thumbs ride .

    • @paulh6101
      @paulh6101 6 лет назад

      Guns, Gear & On Target Training, LLC Ok that's sad to hear for me as I was thinking about getting one. I also have a high tight thumbs forward grip and hold down the slide lock on numerous guns...i bet u have never rode the slide like on the original m&ps but HAVE on the 2.0s.

    • @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC
      @GunsGearOnTargetTrainingLLC  6 лет назад

      Some folks modify their grips (thumbs down to shoot sigs. I don't. The slide not locking back isn't a big deal to me. I would feel well protected with the Sig.
      And I don't have any issues with the M&P 2,0

    • @paulh6101
      @paulh6101 6 лет назад

      Guns, Gear & On Target Training, LLC yeah I don't have an issue with sigs, HKs, 1911s or others that don't like back for me because I refuse to change my grip. There are just to many options on the market to settle.

    • @rudrashakti108
      @rudrashakti108 8 месяцев назад

      That wouldnt happen with the legions. The slide release is small to avoid that. That can happen with the older versions. I think top that the person answering you misunderstood why you were asking.

    I bought this exact pistol last year and absolutely hated it!!! Total waste of money! Uggggg, total waste! I bought it for $1200....sold it 3 months later for $750! What a waste! I own and love Glocks and M&P's...and 1911's of course! First of all....not a big fan of the double action first pull but...with hours of training, you can get use to it! I guess I'm so use to striker fired pistols that it makes no sense to have a 12lb pull! Also...slide lock on last shot. Because my hands ride so high (You can get so much higher on the frame with Glock and M&P) I could never get slide lock, which sucks! I wasn't a big fan of my hands sitting much lower than the bore! Because of this, I got more muzzle flip with this gun! But....the killer on this gun was reliability! This gun jammed constantly! I took it to a class and it was giving me malfunctions that would have killed me in a real gun fight! The gun would fire and not eject the case! The case was stuck in the barrel! I would rack, rack, rack and it wouldn't come out! I would have to shove a this tree branch to unclear it! In a span of 600 rounds that day, it did it like 10 times! I had always wanted that pistol but wow....what a disappointment! I then started doing research on these same pistols and reliability was definitely an issue on gun forms! They said the old generation of Sigs that were made in W. Germany were super reliable. But the current US version have so many issues! Anyways....take it for what its worth! I will never waste my money on another Sig!

      Gino Gomez I know how to shoot also been in law enforcement for years your bad experience I understand but doesn’t mean it’s true every gun brand has there lemons I’ve had a glock that was shit jammed n was a POS gun but overall sigs are great most of them you can always get a shit gun sometimes with any brand it happens.
