I have friends that own them, and this video backs up what they tell me. Great video BTW
Glad you tested out the CA compliant model, as that’s what I’m currently relegated to. Looks good, I wasn’t aware it was that compact and easy to conceal. I like that it can load 9mm, .357, and .40 cal. Still undecided between that and p220/p226.
My go to would have to be the Sig P220R chambered in 45ACP. It's a CA compliant pistol so I would rather have the stopping power of the 45. I've shot targets up to 80 yards and it has very good accuracy. Just love the way it perform right out of the box!
I purchased my brand spanking new sig P229 to use for the same purpose that this creator is addressing, "A go to gun for self defense that I can keep right by my bedside". Unfortunately, things didn't turn out that way. The P229 has been broken since the day I bought it. I have a safe full of pistols, revolvers, and long guns. Each and everyone of them is battle ready. Aching for something new and slightly less bulky, I opted for the P229 Nitron which is not a bad looking gun. The problem is I did not buy the pistol for its looks, this pistol had a job to do, and it simply never got around to doing it. The P226 broke down before I had a chance to fire the first round through it. why does you p229 EE have a chamber flag? mine does not. interesting. mine was manufactured in 2016...?
California complaint has some stupid safety features, chamber indicator and magazine disconnect.
P226 or p229?
