From 1975 to 1988.
I was on a constant Rat Patrol
To see Santana every chance I got.
It seems in those days after seeing the shear joy of rocking out with thousands of
girls in halter tops in the outdoors sun shine became a total dance fest of the
Mind body and spirit .
Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo and the Greek in Berkeley
California Santana concerts burned into
Every cell of my body.
Peace and Love forever.
Mi hermanas and hermanos.

Carlos Is a Bad Dude ! Great band ! Great Video !
holy molly! Armando and Rico together! with Carlos! only LOVE!
Epic show! I was there 35 years ago at the Aug 22, show thank you for sharing this one!!!
Love this kind of music for 50 years !!! Carlos Santana and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Blessed enough to see SRV three times. Two of those concerts was only a few feet away from him the entire show. What a joy for me. Think of him often and listen to his work. Almost 67 years young and just got my very first smartphone. Just watched a Stevie Ray Vaughn concert after 40 years of wanting to see one. Knew they had to be out there but I never owned a smartphone until now. What a joy to see this music again. The two concerts that I was feet away from SRV for the entire show are magical moments that I cherish to this day. So happy I finally bought a smartphone so I can see him perform again. Wow!!! Love this. Tony etchison.
You are a Lucky Duck 🙏🏽 I’ve only heard him from recordings and those move me to tears. He is the definition of a Shooting Star 💫 The Song Riviera Paradise from a compilation disc by Carlos is absolutely Breathtaking 🙏🏽 The Cavatina during this concert is simply outstanding ❣️
Legendary concert
The best Latin rock music ever played in this planet
Last of the beautiful musicians that inspires as musician and human that no longer among us with the new generation miss that old generation that preached peace and love in the world
Well here we are again: Happy Anniversary to those who were there with me. I am MAGNETIC CONNECTION AUDIO VISUAL / ARCHIVE: I was living in Sonora, Ca. at the time. I am also a former Avery Ranch crew member. This weekend was the first backstage catering / hospitality gig . This video seems to be the only video of the weekend. The concert was broadcasted on a portable transmitter to a designated channel that the crowd could tune in. That is why there is a lot of audio recordings. Peace and Happiness to you. And thank you for the video.
I was there!
@Long Strange Trip Yeah, great show, great weekend. We had a blast. One of my all time favorites. Been through Angels Camp on my Bike a few times since. Great memories.
Alex Ligertwood lead vocals.
Scottish guy could sing flawless Espanol.
No Estes chingando. Ese.
Iam too busy rocking out to this blazing
Carlos Santana band. My youth.
THIS line up is SO GOOD 🙏🏽 Care Free Days overseen by the Best Promoter Ever. Mr Bill Graham 🌟💗🌟 God is Present 🎹🎹🎹🎼🎼🎼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
magic!!!!!
Nothing like Carlos😆🙏🏼❤️
Wow!
Didn’t see that coming!
They are really jazzing it up!
Alphonso in all white, I thought it was “Devadip” at first,
I was like; “what year is this!?”
So good live
Thank you much, noe valencia. Peace
A tremendous weekend of David Lindley, Carlos and The Dead. Having just seen Dylan/Dead at the Oakland Coliseum with 60K people and Carlos's completely jam packed free performance at the Mission Street Fair a few weeks prior, it was a treat to catch both performers in considerably more low-key environs. (There were cows grazing on the slope 30 yards behind the stage!) -- ('Afro Blue' theme around the 20 minute mark.)
The Dead and Santana so awesome,Vegas 91 also ...plus the band Go Ahead had two members of Santana and two members of the dead...lol
TY SIR !
I remember this day watching Raul Rekow play. they were the best of the day to me. Grateful Dead came out after too.
It was so chill.
Merci pour le partage noe ! 😊
Ça va me faire passer une bonne soirée ! 👍
Yes, David Lindley was there
I'm hoping that I can find some friends that remembers me and removers the great times we had at the mountainside festivals. I went to all of them. So can anyone help me find bill and Mary barr, Robert Williams, Beth underwood, Gordy bimfore, Rick galliani and his ex girl friend gerry. Many thanks I attended every show perhaps someone can remember me.
Blues the healer
These were my 3rd & 4th DEAD shows! my first camping shows! what a FUN weekend!!!! where's THE DEAD footage from these shows?!
I was there too. Graham Lear was at my house playing my drums just two weeks before. My roommate didn't believe me until he saw Graham at this show. One of my beast Dead show. Had no plans on where we were staying that night. Left the concert looking for somewhere to crash. We found a street we turned down and found a lake, we pitched camp and woke up the this beautiful spot, we went swimming the whole next day. What a great time.
Yes where is the Dead footage?
I was there
Nice.
Buen concierto, very good!!
Not bad for the warm up band 😉
#rt #PoemADay "Mountain Air"
Clouds turn chrisom in the suns descent
Gentle breeze stirs a song up in the trees
Heavens stars appear as I put up a tent
Mountain air fills in my lungs does please
Pine tree scent highlights a wonderous
Present from above.
GRACIAS TOCAYO
GOD I MISS THESE DAYS
Saw santana and the dead
I NOTICE IT'S MAINLY HUEROS BUT THEY'RE HAVING THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES. NO RACISM CON SANTANA WHAT JOY.
Was there an air show that weekend? I thing there was. I was there
Bill Graham outdid himself with the production of these weekend shows. Santana and The Dead were both personal favorites of his. Yes, there was an airshow both days during the breaks. David Lindly opened both days. The weather co-operated, sunny, neither too hot nor too cold. 😁
Yeah, it was awesome!! @@archstanton_live
If it's true that Santana was "opening" for anyone else here, then what a shame. Must have been incredibly anticlimactic.
Wasn't
Totally not anticlimactic. Perfect warmup for the dead. Guess you had to be there.
First day Carlos Great! Dead so so. Second day Carlos Great Dead Another level. Carlos stood on side of stage watching Jerry in amazement. The Dead showed why they were the greatest band on earth.
Lol na...
