Always remember the first time I heard Santana & “Black Magic Woman” in a post football practice locker room. 100F two a day practice of exhaustion. I was renewed & redeemed. A Latino teammate shouted out “Santana is God”, a phrase I thought or uttered over 4 live concerts over the next 30 years and so many albums later.

I have had the pure honor to attend 25 Santana concerts; each concert being better than the last. Carlos is the maestro of the electric guitar. His guitar cries & sings and touches your soul. ❤️
@@faujiali9129 Are you a fan of Tom Morello? An actual cd buying, listening to him frequently type of fan, or is this the first time you've caught him? There are great guitar players that say more with ten notes than Morello does with a hundred. Then there are those players that simply want to slay you with their chops and Morello is near the top of that list.
A few years ago, I won tickets to see Santana & Rod Stewart (I'm a HUGE fan of both) and it was a dream come true. Carlos has a way of playing music that will grab a hold of you and never let go. I was surprised that I sound better than last year, at least! I have been playing drums for a very long time! When I ask someone if they can read drum music, and they tell me no, I get kinda defensive, only because of how long I studied, and had to read everything, all the music.(drum). One of these days I might figure out my new video camera, who knows?
I saw Carlos in concert 4 years ago. When he closes his eyes and improvs, he goes someplace magical and spiritual and shares it with all of us. An incredible experience.
I finally got to see the Legendary Carlos Santana in concert in Atlanta, after being transformed in my youth decades ago, through video of his 1969 Woodstock performance. When I heard drum machines and computer-generated beats taking over the airwaves & industry, I couldn't help but protest, "That's not percussion!" "If you want to hear percussion, go listen to Santana!" (Still true to this day. His rhythms captivates the heart.)

I am so happy that I met him. Not only that I spent a whole weekend with him and plenty others. This was the early 70's . He played at the Cow Palace in San Francisco Ca. for New Years. However, he did spend a weekend visit at San Mateo Ca at his cousin's house. No motels for him when you can spend time with family. And yes, he is only been true to his family. They mean everything to him. He is a real family man. that's what makes him real. And of course I was there. My boyfriend's house was just around the corner. Thank-you Carlos , for teaching me that weekend it's only about a family.
I've seen The Great Carlos Santana at concerts ....in my younger days...when my daughter ( then 16) asked about him...I gave her a surprise.. and took her to a co ncert while he was playing in Texas on a all across the nation tour .....she loved him..and I lived my young days again...this time showing my daughter...his humble and great legacy!!!
From age 6 to 13, I've seen Carlos. My parents dragged me to every show that hit Phoenix, AZ. I HATED every moment. But now, at 36, he is a core memory, I love every song. I feel every song, every lyric. Thank you.

Sheila E was on fire! 🔥. A fitting tribute to the legend that is Carlos Santana. ❤
That band and Sheila E, WOW.
Her playing was more of a tribute to Santana percussionists Mike Carabello, Jose Areas and Michael Shrieve.
...thinking about how happy was Carlos´s wife who is also a great drummer (lenny kravitz prime! time)...

This whole tribute was out of this world. Thank you Carlos!!!

Love you Carlos! My dad played with him in Tijuana as a little boy, Carlos Dad was my dads music teacher and My uncle was Carlos close friend they worked in Tijuana in the ugly bars etc just to bring money home for food etc. when they moved to the US and after Carlos Sucess during Woodstock etc my dad performed at Dodger stadium for an event and saw Carlos. Carlos was so happy and humbled to see my dad and they talked for a long time backstage. My dad always was proud of him and his sucess! When I was little and Carlos would be on TV my dad would say, Ay Carlos! You got your way and you proved us all wrong but put down the marijuana lol because, Carlos always fought with his dad that he didn’t want to play the violin! He was destined to be something bigger! And he knew it

This just proves Carlos Santanas music doesn't just trancend time? It transcends all musical genre's. Carlos inspired me to pick up the guitar 27 year's ago and I will forever be grateful for that. Keep bringing joy to the world Carlos.
I have had the pure honor to attend 25 Santana concerts; each concert being better than the last. Carlos is the maestro of the electric guitar. His guitar cries & sings and touches your soul. ❤️
WOW that's incredible!!!!! #25 ❤🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️
Tom Morello just absolutely killing it on the guitar. Amazing! Insane!

those players that simply want to slay you with their chops and Morello is near the top of that list.
A few years ago, I won tickets to see Santana & Rod Stewart (I'm a HUGE fan of both) and it was a dream come true. Carlos has a way of playing music that will grab a hold of you and never let go. Would like to see you playing? any videos. And you are right about his music, but also it has joy.
@@sherlockholmes8528 No, I haven't really taped myself. I am taking singing lessons from Cheryl Porter, and I only got the nerve to tape myself!
Congratulations, I’ve always wanted to do that, sheila e a goddess
I saw Carlos in concert 4 years ago. When he closes his eyes and improvs, he goes someplace magical and spiritual and shares it with all of us. An incredible experience.
Yes exactly like all the greats, Clapton, zeplin, Gilmore they transcend into another space and time.
It's an unexplainable feeling when you get to that place. You know you're playing, but YOU'RE not playing. It's just happening.

I'd have to say that might be the best version I have ever heard of that song, and that is saying something...
Haven't got to that part yet but liked your comment. Buddy Guy. Enough said.
Buddy Guy threw me off by leaving out a couple of verse lines. A really good version was slightly marred by that
