Are you getting anxious about getting your braces off?
Most people, unless they are very lucky, will end up wearing braces for at least eighteen months. By the time you get your braces off, you will have probably forgotten what it felt like to not wear braces anymore. Once the wires are out and the brackets have been removed from your teeth, you experience an adjustment period that is very close to the adjustment period you need at the beginning of your time with braces.

Patients with inflamed gums didn't floss enough and always inspire me to do more so I don't have that on removal day

Same here. Flossing after every meal keeps my gums healthy.
My orthodontist said “Swollen gums are one of the most common side effects of getting braces. Realigning your teeth is no small feat. Braces apply steady, constant pressure to your teeth in order to shift them to their desired places. This pressure causes changes in your gums and jaw bone, which can cause your gums to swell so it’s not always bc u don’t clean good ur teeth well enough”

Got mine last 20th of November and I just love the pain I felt. it satisfies me so much knowing it does it job to give me the smile I truly deserve soon❤❤❤ looking forward to future adjustment.
I'm getting mines put on tomorrow had 4 teeth extracted last Thursday I just want to be able to eat some meat 😢😂 but I'm so ready for braces it's been a long time wish for me that's finally happening ❤
@@lizbethtellez6302how you feeling now after three months like is it still makes you uncomfortable eating food. Mine got 15 days back and it creates problem while eating. Just eating soft foods.
@Chad-pi5if hey thank you for asking it has gotten alot better but the dentist told me not to bite with my front teeth so eating has been weird plus those missing gaps 😅
I just have a napkin infrot of my mouth when I eat. My teeth bearly stopped being sore honestly and wax comes in handy especially if you sleep on any of your sides

Please something should give me advice or motivation.
There's a lower space in my from lower teeth then can fet in 4 teeths in the space and it wasnt this big when i was little. I am 21 now and the gap have expanding as i am growing up and now i am not even able to smile. I am have been trying so hard to save money and start my braces in December next month.
I got mine 11 months ago, now doctor says I am 5 months far from the end!
It was the perfect time for her to get braces because in spring 2020 the pandemic started and since there you’re required to wear a face mask so that nobody could see your braces in public

2:46 Those things are use to cure our deep bite..it stops our lower teeth from going behind the top ones 😀Or maybe to stop our tongue from pushing the upper teeth forward 😀

It looks like she had an overbite, dentists use that because the tounge pushes teeth from time to time, thats how peole get an overbite, the tool pokes the tounge so it reminds you o not touch those front teeth while the braces do its work.
Why do her gums look so sore after?

I have question here appreciate if someone could help. I have had braces for a year now my ortho told me it's almost done and will take of my braces in two sittings. My concern is she never gave those bands when I asked her she said I don't need them but my colleague who had it earlier says its important and my treatment isn't going in a right direction what should I do?
That's a really complicated question to answer my friend since not every case needs this bands , but if you feel that your treatment it's not going the right direction and you are not happy with the results you are seeing you can talk to your dentist about your concerns! Did you use the numbness on the mouth and why you're being used like this?
You don't need numbing if you are dealing with braces. It's pretty painless just pressure.
Some patients like her have teeth outward even after braces treatment.....

There is always some level degree of protrusion in class I occlusion but either way there are always some limitations that braces can completely correct, in that case if the patient desires an even more cosmetically finalization of the treatment there are other options available as well!
