Kanami writes the tastiest solos ever!!!!!
Yeah she does!!!!
She’s the best.
After Thrill, which still leads the YT view count at 20 million, this was the song that boosted Band-Maid's international recognition, after the cameo appearance in the Netflix movie Kate.
In your own time, check out the "24 fan cam" version of Choose Me, live at Yokohama arena last year, posted by Ohrenje, using the original live stream sound (fortunately not the phone audio!) This was the officially sanctioned track that the audience was allowed to film, with cameras otherwise banned during the show in Japan (a damned good idea). Watch how the band members took the show to the crowd, it was a unique and memorable performance of one of their best songs.
Thanks for "choosing" to react to this one. 🤗
You never have to apologize for loving band maid and wanting to hear it again 😊
Great reaction! I agree, this band should be massive! It is criminal that they have less than 600-thousand subscribers to their channel. This band needs to be illuminated and elevated to the level they belong at!
People prefer dumbest music because they are dumb.
Thanks so much lovely reaction!
I can enjoy this song very well for your nice comments! thanks!
Thank you too!
"Choose me" in my 5 favorite Band Maid songs and Kanami solo in my 3 favorite Kanami's solos! She is amazing this little, sweet guitar Queen!!! Thanks for your reaction.
For myself, Choose me became a staple for band maid. It’s in my dopamine playlist and I enjoy it very much.
It's a great song
Whike Thrill got me interested in Band Maid, Choose Me was the song that got me.
This song is so good they had to play it twice at Yokohama Arena.
And the two versions were completely different from each other.
That's awesome
This was my third song I heard from Band-Maid, "Thrill" was first followed by "Dice", been hooked ever since, going on five years now!
That's awesome
Band Maid did a cameo on the Netflix movie Kate playing this song .
Also used in a scene in "Peacemaker"
@@armynurseboy Peacemaker is how i discovered Band Maid. Never looked back. Thank you James Gunn for having fantastic music in all your stuff.
I laugh because you’re having so much fun. And the points you make are the reason why I watch reactions. I hadn’t heard a Mick Mars influence until today. Now I do.
“Choose Me” was an early career show closer along with “The non-fiction days.” It’s one of my favorites.
One small detail I noticed in later years was Kanami’s work in the outro solo segment. Right before she tremolo picks her way out, she has some speedy arpeggios. (It happens @10:15 in your video) Sometimes in live performances she chooses to sweep pick those.
Mincho is so cool 😎 ❤
Thank you for reading this long comment. If you made it this far, you’ve earned this: “Moratorium,” LIVE I will anxiously await your response to this one. You think you’ve heard all the flavors of Band Maid? Surprise! “Moratorium” was recently polled as the highest rated song on fan playlists, being in the top five of over 80% of fans. I am dying to know your comparison for the interlude solo. You might need some new adjectives 😊
I'll add moratorium to my list
Welcome back and thanks for the reaction and comments. It's impossible not to wear a huge grin while listening to Band-Maid. These ladies are almost too good to be human. Amie, check out the official live video. IMHO Saiki sounds even better. She goes into Rock Goddess Mode. Can't wait for them to return to the states. They are arguably the best live rock band on the planet...I mean, the universe! Cheers.
Saiki's solo performance of Choose Me accompanying herself on the Piano at the Yokohama show last year was incredible.
Were you there? That sounds amazing!
@@Amiekinz4ever I wish I was there, but I watched the concert via the live stream online (I'm in England). I have been to a LOT of rock and metal gigs over the past 40 years, and watching the Yokohama show online was as good as if not better than any of them.
Sometimes, I think this MV is an advertisement for PRS guitars.
I mean, it could be
Great reaction again , this is such a great song and just to let you know BAND MAID and this song was featured in the net flix movie KATE it was awsome.
keep up the reactions
"Choose Me" -- a song featured in the Netflix original movie "KATE" and the HBO Max series Peacemaker as BAND MAID, has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing, cadence and a super soulful vocal at the end; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo (complete with harmonic pinch), and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up with Akane's drumming; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic.
Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are, along with The Warning band, almost single-handedly bringing back the joy of rock. Here's a great live MV of "Choose Me" that's not quite as punchy do to the mix, but still good: ruclips.net/video/HcqitbXgigU/видео.html Thx, Amie!
Also featured briefly in Peacemaker
@@armynurseboy I'm sayin' (in first sentence!). Thx!🤘😉
check out the extended intro live version! ruclips.net/video/_vFuQ2xQkQ4/видео.htmlsi=Empmb0Mm15J5o6ON
I can't remember which song it was exactly but I do remember that Kanami sometimes sounds like Mick Mars. It's not an orthodox solo style but it's crazy cool!
She sounds amazing!
Great reaction! I only wish more reactors would choose the official live video instead -- it's just got that little extra the maids bring to their shows.
This was one of the first 2 Band-Maid songs I ever heard and still a favorite. During the TGT 10th anniversary opening concert they started the song with Saiki doing the first part acapella and during the 10th's final concert at Yokohama arena they did it twice. First time Saiki alone at the piano, a first for her, and then later with them in the rock version going around the runway and, for that time only, allowing fans to video them for that song. Ohrenje has a video compilation of those fan-cam vids up.
Two Kanami solos for the price of one! Hard to beat that.
Right!??!
Choose Me always sound incredible live and they play this all the time.
It's a bit too mainstreamy and radio-friendly to my personal taste, but what a banger!
Speaking of Saiki's vibrato - she does it very often. For some reason studio recording seems to water down her rock vocal and make it sound poppy and a bit flat compared to her live vocal.
Kanami’s solo/solos are just pure fire 🔥🤘 Lovin this song. Lovin Band-Maid 💥🔥🤘❤️
Groovy reaction!
Thank you 😊
Quintessential Band-Maid
日本から。
Thank you for your reaction to BAND-MAID. The girls include this song in the set list of most of their live performances. SAIKI played the piano and sang alone. at the final 10th anniversary concert at Yokohama Arena. KANAMI's solo in this video is really great, with the guitar singing emotionally. (Not to mention it's great live as well.) It's a bit old, but it's one of my favorite songs.
If you love Lyrics. You definitely love INFLUENCERS (MV) by BAND-MAID. Check it out if you got time. Always thanks for reaction for our Maids
I sincerely urge you to take a look at Saiki doing the acoustic solo version of this song with her playing the piano. It's from the Yokohama concert. It will tear your heart to pieces.
Very plaintive. Very touching. The first time she sang while playing the piano in public. Before thousands! Beautiful!
@@chrisegbertky Exactly right man!
Kanami's solo reminds me of Carlos Santana, who is her influencer and idol nice reaction thanks
Yeah, you're right!
It’s a perfect Pop song. KANAMI’s solo a tasty masterpiece.
Yeah it's perfect
She never plays that artificial harmonic live ....😥
I think I might have heard her do that once in all of the live videos
I think it's common for many guitarists to skip the artificial harmonic live.
I wish you could take out the fade mic , when your talking while the video is playing it takes the sound down , then it takes so long for it to come back up , so no love for MISA`s solo after Kanami`s .
I'll work on that
Too much talk
Nahhh, her videos are amazing. To each their own but I like when people breakdown BM. What they like or dislike too :).
@gilbertgrf I appreciate that, thank you 😊
Band Maid...WHY,WHY,WHY...😉
☝️live...thanks
