Thanks for the reaction and comments. This is an oldie but a real goodie. Takes me back to the early 80s in a good way that only Band-Maid can. Cheers!
Favorite Band Maid song? Whatever one I'm listening to currently or the last one I heard. Never thought I'd ever say that about any band prior to discovering these ladies. If I had to pick one though it would be "Puzzle" it's just pure genius in musical composition.
You can go to a Band-Maid Okyu-ji with a list of songs you want to hear, they'll play none of them, but you still won't be disappointed because they'll have played 20 other songs that are just as awesome. Yes, "Puzzle" no matter which version.
I've seen Band-Maid live twice: at a small club and at a large outdoor festival and they sounded great both times. They and their crew know how to set up and get the sound right. I know that Misa studied recording engineering at Tokyo School of Music. Akane also seems to know a bit about miking her drums. I watched their sound check at Sonic Temple 2023, they spent the most time on Akane's drums, but they quickly got Misa, Miku, and Kanami dialed in, then they played one and half songs for a sound check. Then they played an awesome 8 song festival set. You really need to see them at a small club: Band-Maid interacts so easily with the crowd, joking around and having fun, and then they perform their music as only they can. Everyone leaves the show with huge smiles on their faces. You can go to a Band-Maid Okyu-ji with a list of songs you want to hear, they'll play none of them, but you still won't be disappointed because they'll have played 20 other songs that are just as awesome. It's easy to say that Band-Maid is perfect every time. When told that Band-Maid never writes bad songs, Kanami says that they do write a lot of bad songs, but that those songs always find their way to the bottom of Saiki's trash can.
Oh, if you can find their 2018 performance of this, Kanami's extended solo has been replaced by a back-and-forth guitar-bass duel with Misa. It's insane.
The Studio Coast LIVE is the definitive version of this song, but you can only find it on Bilibili now. It has another famous guitar and bass Call & Response "Battle".
This performance was from Akasaka Blitz in January 20167before Saiki and Miku both had vocal surgery. So Saiki's vocal is slightly more nasal. She had polyps removed from her vocal cords in July 2017. This particular performance was a pre-release concert for their "Just Bring It" alum, the first album of theirs where they wrote 9 and arranged out of the 13 songs. They were also involved in the arrangement of the other songs, but this was the very first album where they took the reins of their music and their destiny. There is another version of this song from I think their November 2017 Studio Coast performance, where Saiki's vocals are even better as it was after her surgery. It was also when Band-Maid had hired their own sound engineer to run the sound board. As far as I know he is still their sound engineer. For Akasaka Blitz however they just used the venue's engineer. 30 minutes of the Akasaka concert was released as part of the Special Edition Daydreaming Choose Me single. If you can find fid that special edition be prepared to spend well over $150.00 for it.
Puzzle is a good choice. Providing you do the make your ears bleed stadium rocker version followed by the tear your heart out acoustic version. Great reaction by the way.
This is a deep cut, often overlooked song. Rarely mentioned or reacted to. Band Maid’s deeper cuts are better than normal bands’ lead singles Oh! Almost forgot to answer your question. My favorite Band Maid song? Today, it’s “Moratorium,” from the same concert you just watched P.S. Happy Day of Maid! 05/10/24
Great reaction. Thanks. Now 'Turn Me On' (live) (similar but different, as always, and with an opening of 30 seconds done by Misa (bass) and Akane (drums) impossible of forget) or 'Play' (live) ( spectacular Hard Funky Rock ) or Rinne (live) (like the sound of the 'happy apocalipsys rock'), etc., etc.,etc.. No favorites as is impossible with this band. There is a more simply song called 'Chemical Reaction' (video) that, imo, is great to demolish a stadium and mainly created by Misa (bass) or 'Youth' a song ideal to drive thousands and thousands of miles with a smile in your face and not stopping at the traffic lights...
Lee Jaay & Stan -- Check out this 2017 Studio Coast version of Take Me Higher with the famous MISA / Kanami jam: ruclips.net/video/5P5_JVNGN7o/видео.html
My favorite Band-Maid music video is "Blooming" Official MV and my favorite live performance is "Onset" Official Live ! My Favorite song is " Take Me Higher " Thanks Nice one guys =)
If you like this one, please check out Moratorium, Order, Clang, Secret My Lips, Rinne, Flying High and/or Real Existence. Fantastic band!! Thanks for the reaction.
This is a favorite of theirs, for sure! Favorite song? It's a ever changing list, but for now it's a tie between "Turn Me On!" and "Moratorium"! That'll change in the next few minutes, though!
Since a favorite song is hard to pick, I will tell you which B-M song unaffectedly triggers me every single time. A song that for safety reasons I cannot listen while driving and that song is CLANG.
Please please... somebody sneak in a fancam -- with excellent audio and video quality... and at center front position... with continuous, uninterrupted shots... and with zoom and a motion handle, please!!
Really great reaction.👍 If I'm not mistaken, this is the much lesser known version of "Take Me Higher" from the Akasaka Blitz concert. It's a shame you couldn't find their performance at Studio Coast... THAT ONE is indeed pure rock magic.😲 It's a bit ironic that you guys mention the originality of the song (which is true), but it's also very well known among Band-Maid fans that the opening riff of "Take Me Highger" is a rip off of the song. "Animals" by Nickelback.😆
This is the Jan 9, 2017 Akasaka Blitz concert. The Studio Coast clip has much better sound, although I like the aggressiveness in this version. This was originally posted a number of years ago at 480i. The biggest issue is the trashy cymbal sound, which you are going to get with a low bit rate. Reposting from 480i to a higher bit rate isn't going to fix the issue. Maybe someday someone will post this in high def. (Than again, a high def post might get immediately taken down.)
This is sort of what the Rolling Stones would have sounded like if Mick were a woman and the rest of them could actually play their instruments. Thanks for checking it out.
have you guys reacted to Flying High yet? It is on the Conqueror album and is another killer, but underrated song. It's my favorite song on that album.
It’s about time you two did a reaction to Sabaton I would recommend “1916” and watch till the end I’ve seen some reactors don’t it is a Motörhead cover also “Bismark”.
This is BM that I like, making good rock, I don't like what they have done currently, they change their style too much, if they like it, let them move on.
This isn't even the best live version available of this song. There's a better version on their Band-Maid Prime site with some legendary Kanami and Misa back and forth.
Thanks for the reaction and comments. This is an oldie but a real goodie. Takes me back to the early 80s in a good way that only Band-Maid can. Cheers!
Thanks for giving some love to a highly underrated killer rock song! I love Band Maid and this is one of my favorites of theirs!!
Classic *BAND MAID*
This song takes me back to my earliest Band Maid experiences back in 2017.
🤘😀🤘
And me only it was "Don't You Tell Me" at Zepp.🙋♂️
100% pure rock'n'roll🔥🔥🔥
So glad you reacted to this one!

From the same RUclips channel, have a listen to "Why why why", just fasten your seatbelts first, it will paste you across the back wall.
👍
Yes, yes, yes
Puzzle is a good choice. Providing you do the make your ears bleed stadium rocker version followed by the tear your heart out acoustic version.
Great reaction by the way.
Amazing performance of another great band Maid song. My favourite, 'Blooming' !
My favorite is MORATORIUM from the Studio Coast concert it can be found on Billibilli.
From their best album (my opinion) Just Bring It, the whole album is a killer!
Just another banger by the Maids. Ho-hum. LOL! BAND MAID ROCKS!!!!!
LOL! I know, right? I don't think I've ever heard a band with better quality songs all throughout their catalog. BAND-MAID BABY!!
This is a deep cut, often overlooked song. Rarely mentioned or reacted to.
Band Maid’s deeper cuts are better than normal bands’ lead singles
Oh! Almost forgot to answer your question. My favorite Band Maid song? Today, it’s “Moratorium,” from the same concert you just watched

Proper rock and roll music played with passion and precision!
I have been listening to this song for 2 years, and I haven't looked up the lyrics. I couldn't care less...

If you can find this song you can find Order. You need to see Order same show.
The Shinkiba Studio Coast Okyuji is the BEST live version of this song. Imo
The Maids are absolutely fantastic

Long live the Tiny Hat!
Jeez I had somehow forgotten about this song! Love it. Would be amazing to hear them play that live now….
Have you done the Band-Maid documentaries by Ohrenje yet, starting with Saiki? If not, I think it is time.
Give me a week and I'll narrow it down to my top 10 or 12... But, I have a soft spot for their official live of the song "Play"
If you like this one, please check out Moratorium, Order, Clang, Secret My Lips, Rinne, Flying High and/or Real Existence. Fantastic band!! Thanks for the reaction.
Great great song 🔥🤘❤️ Magical band 🤘❤️🔥 Kanami is something else 💥
My favorite Band-Maid music video is 'Black Hole'

Favourite band maid song? I would say "Corallium". But there are so many different songs ... How to choose just one favourite one?
Soon Band Maid with The Warning.
