Fantastic to see something new and charming from FIAT, I had an old 2005 Panda and it had so much charm, I still think of it with fondess - very much looking forward to testing this. I want one with steel wheels
They still have that charm in their DNA for sure
MAcchinetta niente di più....traduco, a relative quite normal car
Thanks for going to the rooftop factory in Italy and reviewing the car for us Nobby. You suffer so much on our behalf to give us these reviews 😂😂
🤣 was a cool place in fairness
I have been on that roof. Hasn't been a car factory for decades. They are in Poland. It is a dreary shopping centre now.
That pull out cable is one the best ideas seen for evs
Clever stuff alright
Renault Twizy
Yeah. Italians will be dangling the cable from their apartments 😅
@toyotaprius79 the twizy don't count as an ev 😆
Fantastic review Nobbster. Your content is getting better and better and at the same quality level as the UK established car review sites and personalities. Personally I think that Fiat and Stellantis are putting out some great models. I recently drove an Opel and couldn't believe the cabin quality, the road holding and ride comfort. Fiat for me oozes nostalgia as a child of the 1980s and my father having more Fiats than I can count. I always loved the Italian styling and nippy engines from the Uno to the Ritmo and Regatta to the original Tipo or Croma. I loved them all (made life easier as my father was a mechanic at a Fiat main dealer)so reliability was never a worry. He once had a red Lancia Delta for a weekend and I think I spent hours just sitting in it and looking at it. Not a football in sight it was always cars for me. Anyway its fantastic to have quality Irish review content that's relevant to our own market. Keep up the good work
Lovely words Rory, appreciate it 👌🏻
That interior with white-blue seats is actually sweet 😮 This vehicle appears to offer quite a lot of ”bang for your buck”.
Always loved the Pandas (apart from their old auto boxes) and this is up there for me. 👌
There something special about FIAT and this Panda has it.
Renault 5 has heat pump as standard in UK. To me, this is a deal breaker...but hopefully this option is affordable, cause this car is very likeable.
R5 is a project of a car producted in france, this is a remake....different
Love the review. Love the car. Takes me back to my 1989 Pamda 1000. Looks a lot better than the Frontera
It takes me back to thinking that the main thing to go wrong on Italian cars was the electrics and not the sweet high revving engines.
No grey ?! Well, those clouds on the hills behind you, certainly have a grey-ish look to them !!!
Looks a cool motor … love the simple clever bits (sorry Škoda!) That car and the smaller one you mentioned, will surely be a hit in Italy anyway … the one thing you always see in your rear view mirror in Italy, is a Panda up yer ass! Especially going up a steep hill on a narrow windy road 😂.
Btw-The Captions “translated” your recycled cartons into recycled curtains… assuming my ears are not deceiving me (again).
At least the captions didn’t translate it to recycled carrots! (Again)
This is a very impressive car. Could almost be a Hyundai. And that’s praise indeed. And unlike other Stellantis cars the rear seat legroom for once seems almost OK. Thank you Nobby!
Oooh boy ...... it's so beautiful !!!
Have to be mine !!!
Good review, every thing covered. Love the looks.
Thanks for watching
Great review as ever Nobby I just watched the Electrifying review before yours and think it's a fabulous looking thing especially on the steelies. Like I commented on that video Renault will have a challenge here with the 5 and the 4 based upon the price alone. Only issue as I see it is what do you do if that tethered cable refuses to retract?
GREAT VIDEOS.... BUT SORRY THE HACK OF THAT CAR 😂
Is there a 4wd version coming? Now that would be a real 🐼
It wasn’t a no, wasn’t a yes when they were asked.
Would not have an set on fire EV given.💥
I fear the price of nothing in Ireland will be right... Anyway, it's certainly a nice car.
I look at the shape of the car and I think citroen version of the platform almost just a badge engineering exercise could have called it Grande 500 with few more curves.
Hopefully the new small platform will give Fiat a bit more of an opportunity to do its small car thing.
That's the plan from what I could gather!
Very nice 👌 great value
The sound of the boot being shut screams build quality 🤣
Great review once again! I have a question: the panda is build in the same platform as the new Citroen c3. I noticed that in the cabin they have the same infotainment system, same climate buttons and the seats looking a lot like the advance comfort seats! Do you know if the panda also shares the same hydraulic suspension system with the c3? Which one is better in driving?
I preferred the C3 petrol out of all of them.
@ thanks a lot! I will not disagree! I did a test drive in Athens few weeks back with the petrol c3 and it was so smooth and punchy as well! Plus the suspension was really something!
1:16 You don't see gray in the landscape in Italy? Turn around!
Ive noticed some reviewers commenting on rear wipers as though they are not to be expected. why? I had one on my 1979 Fiesta. Mind you, I had a spare wheel as well and they are quite rare nowadays.
They've been disappearing from some cars to improve aero.... so it's getting called out a bit.
What's the space in the back compared to the renault 5?
Better
Looks great but the lack of a heat pump is a big concern. Can the car be pre-heated like original Renault Zoe?
Pre heat yes
Hiya Nobby. Enjoyed your Panda vid. Do you think it’s as well developed as the R5 EV? When I was a kid it was Fiat 127 v R5 and the 127 was the winner - really got Ireland moving. Remarkable now how Renault are so strong but Fiat seem to be strangled by Stellantis. Ciao, Daragh.
Renault 5 feels a bit more premium again.
Fair play Fiat, cracking car
You mentioned a smaller Panda on the way. 00:40 Does that mean a smaller electric one than this one, or a petrol one.
both
Really.... how is it not the the Giant Panda!🙄
Still only 3.9m I guess
Was this demo vehicle made in Serbia, asking only because we here dont know when, or even IF the production will start officially. At first they said Autumn 2024, moved it to the end of January 2025 - and now at the end of the January everyone`s really quiet again.
Orders opened yesterday for LHD markets anyway
@@NobbyOnCars Let`s see what happens, our government here wouldnt waste a milisecond with letting us know that production has started, and ours is the only factory that will make this car.
Cough”Dacia “ cough 😅
That back is a mess
But it probably be quite popular
I think Hyundai will have something to say about the headlights.
Hyundai don’t own the copyright to headlights in fairness 😆
Don’t mind the headlights. They remind me of Fiat 128 mark II. Plus Hyundai copied the Ritmo with that EV. It’s all a circle….
The dimensions, space and trim of the car are perfect for me, but the EV is not good at all: the consumption is very high and in winter it can't charge with more than 30kW because it doesn't have battery heating(real tests done on eC3). That means the charging time is well over one hour in winter on DC 😢. The Leapmotor T03 is also LFP but has battery heating and can keep 40kW from 10 to 80 %
You can't base 30kW on one test. Way too many unknowns and variables. This setup has been used in multiple Stellantis cars so you're saying they all do 70kW less on DC than they claim?!
@NobbyOnCars It was not a single DC charge. LFP does suffer more from the cold and without heating the charge speed is very low. Stellantis claims 100kW on this platform. Not to mention a lot of software bugs ruclips.net/video/Y9P6iVJ7Vis/видео.htmlsi=vHc2nIQEH2HWZR_R
@ I just think of these cars were constantly getting 70kW less than claimed, there would be huge noise about it. Not that they’re alone here, the peak does not have to be maintained for long as I’m sure you’re aware etc but 30kW seems like it needs more investigation across more cars
@@NobbyOnCarsI saw 2 consumption and charging tests for the eC3, one French, one Swiss, both at subzero temperatures.
They both complained of slow 30kwh charging on long 600km+ journeys.
The French test also cruised down the autoroute at 130kph at which it was consuming 25kwh/100km, so the battery was getting well worked to heat up.
Admittedly, not the intended use by the manufacturer. More meant for low speed driving and shorter journeys.
High speed journeys are not its forte, it seems.
But a nicer looking car than the eC3, in my opinion.
Will it be around the same price as the eC3, I wonder?

It’s got a Hyundai Santa Fe vibe going on the front
Did you have the car unlocked to pull out that cable, or is it exposed to anybody for vandalism?
Come on now….
@NobbyOnCars It happens, so I'm asking.
You were only meant to blow the bloody doors off!
Sorry Charlie.
Dacia look!
How durable will that front charging be over time eh ?😂
تبارك الله سياره جميله❤️
@10:35
*BEV Sales in France;*
December 2023 = 20.6% Market Share
December 2024 = 16.1% Market Share
All of 2023 = 16.8% Market Share (298,216 BEVs sold)
All of 2024 = 16.9% Market Share (290,614 BEVs sold)
Little to know difference - compare it to Germany and come back to me
Oh, another Stalantis sales flop. I was staying in the centre of Naples this summer. Only spotted one Fist 500 EV. Lots of the real Panda though. But mostly Toyotos: Aygos and Yaris Hydrids. So even Italians will not buy it except maybe city police abd such like.
👍🏻
Fiatul asta , ( panda) daca era termic , rupea piata auto. Intradevar , era un concurrnt pt sandero stepway.
Citroen C3 fantastic😅😅😅
Looks heaps better than that hideous new Renault R5.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Are the main lights any good? Looks wqy better than the dacia dirt and hyundai inster sh1t...😅
Didn’t drive in the dark sorry
They lost me at having to put key into a ignition
You poor sole
How TF do those tiny LED's illuminate anything...
They don't, they're DRLs. The headlights are below them.
They're DRLs
Yet there is grey all around you :-). No, its a bit bling. Not made for the Trump era. Which reminds me I need to go to the hairdressers, my hair needs a trim.
The forced regen on ec3/panda/frontera is stupidest thing ever. WHO CAME UP WITH THAT? If i want car to brake, i will use the brake pedal.
Works very well
40 battery- useless. Ok for driving around town. And no heat pump. I’d never have another EV without one.
"Ok for driving around town."
Dude discovering what a B segment car is.
Wait that’s a Dacia isn’t it?
Not unfamiliar in some respects
Hahahaha I came here for this comment! It's like a Sandero in disguise!
It's a Stelantis, so stay far, far away from it.
STELLANTIS charging speeds and vehicle performance is so underwhelming, it is impossible to generate any excitement for their products.
How fast do you need a 40 odd kWh battery to charge? It still does a 20-80% in line with other brands.
Looks like it was conceived by a Tetris player!
Ha
When car tester start to talk like care sells men they are become more and more like influenceers.
When you can write basic English in a coherent sentence, come back and criticise me. Until then 🤫
still not buying a lithium ion bomb.
oh dear
