Joel, that noise I found was coming from the lower of the windscreen scuttle. If you run a bead of silicone on the bottom of the windscreen under the scuttle, that’ll fix it.
Dear Joel, you inspired me and I got one RR HSE 4.4 L here in Mexico. I´ll try to send you some pics. I love it even though every time a new repair comes up I wonder what I´m doing haha
Had the buzzing sound on my 2007 L332 which was the seal on the windscreen. I initial put some black gaffer tape over it which stopped the noise, then replaced the windscreen on the insurance with the scuttle plate, once it was done no more bumble bee 🙌🏼
Joel congratulations mate! Very happy for you! I'm glad you got the proper 4.4 M62 V8 not the diesel... It's great to see that its same as your first L322... This is refreshing to see another back on the channel. Let the fun begin ❤️
So delighted to see you back in the car that I first seen you in & the L322 that got focused on long before everybody went crazy for them ! This just feels right !
Nice one Joel! That noise is a bit strange, and you’ll have a few internet mechanics telling you it’s this or that, but I think the first place to investigate is wheels + tyres. Check the wheel bearings. Seems strange it only does it past a certain speed. Best of luck with the car.
I’ve always had Discovery’s and bought my RRS last year and really love it, it’s our daily driver yours looks great and a bargain at £2k a little tlc and you have a class ride
Had a 54 plate in the same colour with green seats. Used to achieve 27mpg with 4.4 V8 BMW engine ....... my Disco 3 with 2.7 Ford derivative V6 did 21mpg on a good day. I still regret parting with the car, never let me down...beautiful comfortable car.
Awaiting the return of my L322 3.6TDV8 in Giverny green and cream and timber interior but no green piping,dash0top etc! -Very jealous…usually an 80series ‘cruiser zealot but as you say these are really very special. Subscribed. More please 🙏
Nice car. However, the first things you absolutely need to do is replace the timing chain tensioner and service the transmission. That’s speaking from an X5 owner who learnt the hard way..
Awesome great purchase Joel. Going to be looking forward to the future content on this L322. Perfect spec fella 👌 well done 👏that’s a lot of car for that price mate 👍
He’s back! As a fellow previous Cayenne owner I loved the content on it but the Cayenne has to be the 4.8 V8 and preferably with a couple of turbos or it’s just a VW. So jog that one on and daily this beautiful L322. Looking forwards to the usual trials and tribulations. Congrats and health to enjoy. 😊
I owned an L322 v8 Vogue in Buckingham Blue with cream interior. It’s was a beautiful car but my pockets were not deep enough at 27 years old to keep fixing everything that went wrong so we had to part ways. It’s still an itch I need to scratch!
Thinking maybe the vibration could come from the sunroof potentially as you said it was a bit finecky and it being not latched properly could cause a break in the cars aerodynamics making something vibrate but it’s a complete guess to be honest
Took 2 years to get another one , 😮 come on Joel that’s 23 months too late 😊 lovely motor looking forward to all the ups and downs( hopefully not the suspension going wrong)
My Dream L322 would be the green 4.4 petrol V8 that Matt from High Peak Autos had a year back. The one with the Jag 4.4 engine. That was pretty low mileage and in really good condition. There is an issue with a lot of these cars. From 2006 the road tax is killing them. I don't think road tax should be so high for older cars that are not driven as much. High road tax for older cars is killing future classics.
Finally another Range Rover 😤🤣. I’ve been waiting. There’s nothing like the L322. I have a 06 supercharged in the same color. Mines also makes that noise but not as loud. I test drove another one that had the base gas jag engine and it did the same thing. It only does it on the highway at higher speeds and I think 🤔 it’s something going on under the bumper but I’m not sure. Mines didn’t make that noise until later years of ownership. As for the sunroof, I also had that problem but I just pulled it with my hand as it was closing and that usually does the trick. You do have to pull hard because it really wants to go back open.😡. And yes giverny green is very hard to find. These particular rovers are becoming scarce in America .😔
My guess at the noise; There's a valve/flap in the cabin ventilation that can vibrate or even squeek at certain speeds. Try swapping the setting from auto to re-circulate or vice versa and you may find it goes away. Not sure what the long term fix on that is (if you find out, let me know ;)) Or try driving the other way up the motorway (different wind speed) and see if the noise changes. Failing that, just use duct tape to tape up the bits you think could be the problem until you find the culprit :)
Nice vid. Noise could be window or windscreen or sunroof rubber seal. Or the tread pattern on the tyres can make a noise like that - it happens a lot with off road tyres on defenders
@@itsjoelas am I, I would definitely change the wheels but I do like the clear lights. Maybe do them last and see how you feel about them after all the rest is done, who knows might save a few quid by leaving the clear ones on
Very nice, cannot wait to see it all cleaned, shame you did not record Katie's reaction, you know it's going g to be her daily driver ,you will not be getting that back.😂
Lovely spec, let's hope the brakes continue working this time :) Also, I think the noise is a family of bees which are disturbed and angrily buzzing by the wind above 60mph.
With that mpg it's a definite contender to have LPG conversion,l if its a keeper, unless you have won a lottery! Never drove a Range rover, would have one, suppose it would be better than the no car I have now 😖
Now @itsjoel as payment I demand to be added as a sidekick on the show adding funny puns along with solid Rangerover advice that’s sure to rattle Toyota owners
Bit gruesome but, the building who's carpark you were parked in was used as a temporary morgue for the people who sadly passed when the plane crashed on the M1 next to Kegworth in 1989.
I'd be interesested in how you stop the roof lining sagging. Mine's he same, I think its due to having two big dogs in it, therefore lots of condensation. PS get rid of the chrome letters.
Love the colour and for range rover advice ask matt at high peak autos he knows his range rovers I think he's sold his green l322 now in that colour that was stunning look forward to the next video joel nice buy but get that gearbox serviced that's a must 👍
Make sure you watch the whole video to see how much I paid!
You didn't buy, you pretty much GTA style stole it pal 😂😂😂 that interior alone is worth 2x what you paid.
Why didn't you fit the good bonnet n leave the old one .??
this makes a lot more sense because at least you can pronounce this car!
Probably going to be a sought after range me thinks! Everyone is after this version ❤
Get shut pal 🤔keep the cayenne
Joel, that noise I found was coming from the lower of the windscreen scuttle. If you run a bead of silicone on the bottom of the windscreen under the scuttle, that’ll fix it.
Thank you
I had the same noise and did the same fix on my Discovery 4 after a windscreen replacement.
Same noise and fix on my l322.
Had it on my L322 as well and it’s was only the scuttle.
Dear Joel, you inspired me and I got one RR HSE 4.4 L here in Mexico. I´ll try to send you some pics. I love it even though every time a new repair comes up I wonder what I´m doing haha
I'm sure Matt, jezza and Harry will appreciate your purchase 😊

That interior looks brandnew. That's a good purchase. 1 to keep for life.
Joel congratulations mate! Very happy for you! I'm glad you got the proper 4.4 M62 V8 not the diesel... It's great to see that its same as your first L322... This is refreshing to see another back on the channel. Let the fun begin ❤️
If it didn’t vibrate on the test drive then perhaps the sunroof seal is the problem since you opened and closed it.
Definitely repair , restore "within reason," and road trip , somewhere rugged , suited to the rangie . I say Ireland
They get under your skin, just bought another one just today, going from a Td6 to a petrol 4.4 V8 💪🏻
So delighted to see you back in the car that I first seen you in & the L322 that got focused on long before everybody went crazy for them ! This just feels right !

So jealous what a lovely looking car looking to get a TD V8 myself, love the channel can’t wait to see more videos with the range rover
Wouldn't be a range rover video without a mystery noise! Classic😂 (love the purchase!!)
Nice work Joel! Glad you’re back in a rangey. Top work!
More to come!
@@itsjoelcan’t wait mate. Happy new year by the way 🙏😉
We want more content mate! Lovely car and great colour choice!

The buzzing noise is the window trim pics under the wipers. It vibrates when wind hits it.
Thank you!

Congrats! Wonderful spec, especially the interior!
Personal recommendation -- the ivory interior in my L322 cleaned up real good using pumpkin saddle soap.
Congratulations on the latest purchase 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

Those are the best Looking L322 wheels!
I wouldn’t go changing them!

Great buy. Definitely a road trip
Great to see you've found one with the spec you want, I love the colour, very nice, welcome back to the L322 club! :)
Its the lower seal on windscreen. Run a bead of silicone. I had it with mine
AT3 tyres are excellent all rounders
Nice new ride Joel! That noise would be my 1st priority, it would drive me nuts! Cheers Kirk
Welcome back to the world of L322!
Been on the look for one of these since selling my silver v8 l322 a couple of months ago. Great vehicles
Definitely bring it back to as close to original as possible please film the repairs and the valet would be good to see. A great purchase though.

Give it full works. It’s got to be a keeper
Goodness gracious how much the Range Rover has sized up since the L322!
Nice one! Agree, I can’t imagine not owning a Range Rover after having one for 6 years.
Clean it, for OEM Rear MudFlaps, then a RoadTrip.. Roof Tent / sleeping in the back etc .. !
Love it!🤩 I’m of the same opinion as you, originality is the way to go 👍🏻 good luck, I’ll be back for the next instalment 😀
Thank you
The clear lights look so much better

Engine undertray often vibrates if missing some fixings or split
check the rubber strip from the roof down to the windscreen is stuck down that makes a noise when it comes loose
About time 😉🤣🤣 welcome back to l322 owners club 🥳🥳🥳
2 grand is an absolute steal
The l322 is a timeless design beautiful interior as well
Agree!
Surely that noise has to be the windscreen gasket rubber thing flapping away at speed. 😅
Think it might be
Almost positive it is the weatherstripping making the noise. Quick hack is to just add black electrical tape..
Lovely spec, let's hope the brakes continue working this time :)
Also, I think the noise is a family of bees which are disturbed and angrily buzzing by the wind above 60mph.
Nice one lad
I've been after one for a while keep holding out for the right spec
Congratulations on your latest purchase, i look foward to your journey with this L322!
You and me both!
Beautiful car, stunning colour. Would love to see it restored to mint condition & find out what that irritating buzz was🤔👍🏾
Great buy Joel for £2k buzzing could be windscreen or sunroof seal? 😎👍🏴
Great content Joel!
Great video! Mine also buzzes lightly around 70+, yet to investigate.. Let me know if you figure it out though!
Sounds like it might be the windscreen trim, I’ll have a look!
@ Mine does sound like it comes from that area/wipers, I will have a look too 👍🏻
If Jeremy owns one, you know it’s a great car
I had EXACTLY this spec!!!
I also miss it dearly, I’d like to buy the latest 4.2 s/c L322 I can find in grey or silver
I was right 😍 love the L322

Can't wait to see all the repair bills and work
Wow, you bought the same as mine 02 4.4V8, at same price as i paid, but mine is in MY fave colour silver grey.
Nice car Joel yes fix all its problems
Same spec as my dad's!!!
I love that car.
I don't mind a bit of filth spat my beer out LMAO
My L322 is in the garage, £1,600 for a new alternator! I still love it!
Unless you are 5foot5, side steps are an absolute no no!
Nice interior keep the wheels
Cant beat a nice bit of green 🙃
“I Knew It” didn’t think it would be long before we see another 😉👍
It’s the trim at under the wipers
Rubber strip put double side foam underneath to cure
Been there - same noise exactly what Barry said ☝️

+100k subs! Well deserved.
Much appreciated!
Good video and look forward to more👍👍👍👍

Yay! 😊
Dream spec early l322 for me, I’m so tempted to sell one of my Range Rover classics and scratch the L322 itch!
There’s no going back
Sunroof closed properly? That could cause the noise
Cant beat a landy, its a bad habit, once you get one, thats it you know youre going to get more and more and more 😂
Take it to Glenrands and tell them I sent you. Ross will look after you! Best specialist in the South 😊
I will look into them, not far from me by the looks of things!
@@itsjoel Just off the A3 nr Liphook. They looked after my L322 for 5 years 👌
Are the bonnet struts upside down?
Mystery noise i would bet either the fact the sunroof isn't fully closed, or just the drone from those general grabbers
