I had the fortunate opportunity of wrestling with Coach Creighton back in highschool and when he said he "did not hit the low single much." I am guessing that was at the international level, because no one I knew could stop it !!!! Pattered after the John Smith low single and practiced like the Brands brothers on it - he was unstoppable !!!!
Very good instructor. I'm from a striking heavy background trying to improve my grappling. This is accessible. Though I am jealous your American wrestling culture is so strong. Hard to find good wrestling coaching where I am.

I’m so happy I found you! It’s my daughters first year wrestling and she’s in 9th grade. We’re working on strengthening and speed as well as confidence of course! Thanks for all this information!
Parents shouldn't coach their own kids. Let parents be parents and coaches be coaches. Coaching your own kids is detrimental to their wrestling experience.
@@jakethomas2371it really isn’t having someone coach it at home while receiving it at school is something I wish I had to and especially since she’s in 9th grade and she’s in wrestling a little late
@Tronexx so many well meaning parents who drove their kids off from the sport have said the same thing you said now, including myself. But, hey after 3 years off and in the freestyle season my daughter has decided to wrestle for her senior year next year. I just won't be coaching her. I'll be sitting there quietly smiling. The only thing I'm going to say is "have fun." I've done it myself and watched many other great wrestlers leave the sport because of parents. I coached a kid his dad came up to me and says I don't know what to do, my son wants to quit wrestling. I got him a private strength trainer, we have mats at the house, he's doing club. I try to talk to him and now he shuts down. I told him to stop doing all that just tell him to have fun and just let him wrestle. This year, his son made it to the state finals. His dad came up and thanked me for the advice and said it saved his son's love for wrestling. Don't fall into the same trap as many other well intentioned parents.
@@jakethomas2371you seem upset about not coaching your daughter and need to get over it some of the greatest wrestlers I’ve met including a 3 time and 2 time state champs had their dads coaching in both the wrestling room and other practices it’s clear you were never anything great so it makes sense your daughter would quit do to lack of brain in her parents but to each their own.
What is the weight of that Bulgarian bag please, what weight eould you recommended to an average fit guy who trains quite regularly but not on elite level
@@CreightonWrestling I took his comment as he would like to see better video quality. This is shot in 480p and most people are looking for 1080p or minimum of 720p. But it is still great content.
How much weight do you recommend for box jumps? I squat with weights, but this seems like a solid exercise for explosiveness. Also, do you know if Steve meant lunge with weights?
Yes, back squat with weight. Also do lunges with weight. Kettlebell swings and snatches are a great substitute for cleans if you lack the technique or the equipment.

The mechanics of this look simple but are super high level, and executed perfectly if I may add. Well done coach
Thanks Max🤛🏾
This is probably the most helpful wrestling video I have ever watched for shots

I do jiujitsu but have only been working on takedowns thank you for this

I love this. This helps me put together some drills for the low single as normally really only live wrestling with a focus on it seemed to work.
I learned this from the man, John, Smith himself @ a Ken Chertow Clinic circa 1992-93... your instruction is spot on with how he did it. Thanks Coach
Thank you
