Man, I am only 3 videos in through your content (I have just randomly discovered it), I am already hooked. I am getting in shape to get back to my fav Sports Judo/BJJ after a long pause due to inflammatory disease, what you have shared will definitely help a long way. Love from France 🇫🇷.
My son is a sophomore wrestler at Miramar High in South Florida. Last was his first yr actually competing and he came in 19th at 155lbs. We will start applying these to his workouts..
This is by far if not the best one of the best videos you have done. It was easy to understand the editing was flawless you was having fun i learned a lot thanks
The pull is so important. Burroughs has a stronger vertical pull at his weight than most Olympic weightlifters. I think wrestlers are the standard for pull strength
@@np494609Burroughs. gold medalist. Sadulaev, (multiple single hand pull ups) gold medalist. youre thinking pulls off the floor. im talking overhead pulling. there's the chinese and everyone else is sub par compared to medaling freestyle wrestlers
We didn't fully capitalise on the MMA trend as a sport, but this functional fitness trend might be where we find our market and how we can move laterally into the MMA space as well. What I mean by this is, obviously serious MMA competitors train for wrestling, but you don't have a bunch of yuppies doing it for fitness (and by extension improving the popularity and visibility of the sport) like those who have taken up kickboxing and crossfit. Also, we don't have young kids joining like they do in droves for karate after watching the karate kid or some jackie chan, bruce lee, keanu reeves movies. These are the spaces we need to enter and the people we need to attract and I applaud these youtube channels because I think they are making steps toward accomplishing that
Sometimes you don’t know how to use your arms It is boom boom 😂😂😂😂 Dane Miller is the best coach out there for both Olympic style weightlifting and wrestling 👍👍👍👍 A man full of positivity and motivation !!!
I would also extremely recommend getting a sandbag. The conditioning it gives your body is amazing, it especially conditions your body to withstand moves that would commonly cause muscle strains.
I think I can name a harder single leg squat variation; put a log bar out on some safety pins, pick it up in your elbows, then do the single leg squat! Lurchers all day baybayyyyyyy (I'll try it out Wed as Lurcher squats (i named them) are phenomenal)
So do you do these excercises during a special period of trainging, or do you just incorporate them troughout the whole year? Thanks for the video, really gave something to work with
Hi Coach Dane. Hope you’re well. Training experience - Novice. Unable to wrestle due to inconvenience. Do you have a beginner wrestling strength program that I can use to get the strength/size of a wrestler? Thanks 🙏🏽
Absolutely. Try the Peak Strength App choose beginner and choose wrestling under combat sports and you will get a program just for that www.peakstrength.app/?YT&Video&APP&BestWrestlingExercises
Are there any exercises that target these areas but are better with body weight and dumbbells. Specifically those that deal with exercises without the rope?
No disrespect… just want to simply the amount of exercises and complexity.. I’d personally run it with a push pull sled incorporating a variation of movements with that single piece of equipment. So many viable options especially when you incorporate a rope on it or a belt. For my lower back. Rack pulls from just above the knee is great. Weighted barbell duck walks you can keep it relatively light and it’s been proven with different studies the benefits of remaining in a squat like catchers in baseball. Another exercise 40yd sprints.. variation of pull ups using the negative portion. Half rep dips to finish off a day.. for not having much equipment to use this is a great plan to mix and match that I’m putting out there..
I’m a beginner to wrestling can you do all this exercise in one workout? Or you shouldn’t do then all together? Ps would you program help me train like a wrestler?
these seem like explosive power building exercises. Im going to try them to increase my weight lifting abilities. I wish I knew wrestling techniques. There's a lot to memorize, and you need a partner. Are you a high school coach or what ?
seems a bit overcomplicated at times. Would replace single leg front squat with just front squat. Lunges with squats. Rope climb with weighted pull-ups. Also bench is essential imo
i am a fan of wrestling but where i live it doesnt exist, i have been doing zercher squats and deadlifts, on dropsets more reps the lower the weight, my cousin is way stronger and heavier than me but in the traditional gym way, he cant stand a chance against me because it feels like he doesnt know how to use his whole body as a unit, i wish i could practice this beautiful sport

@@bloodsports94 wrestling can help a lot when combined with bjj. Don't knock that combo.

I wrestled Pete Renda in the state semi finals his senior year. Can confirm, his grip strength is unreal.
Thank you. I have been doing BJJ for a year and I will implement this into my high school wrestling

Might be a good idea to cover excercises that eccentuate exploding from a seated position like wrestle ups for bjj?
I needed this for BJJ thanks
Thanks you so much
I just did this today. Good workout. I wasnt able to do the rope climb though. Upsettingly.

I'm glad I finally found your channel where have I been I love this content more wrestling and strength condition videos please I can't get enough
That was a lot of "BOOM BOOM" for Today.!!!
thank you, im currently doing boxing and wrestling and i wanna get rid of all non fighting exercises like bench press, curls etc
Personally our school dose a lot of power cleans because it helps so much with things like shots, doubles and high c’s
Honestly I think just a strength routine in general paired with wrestling training is elite
I would also extremely recommend getting a sandbag. The conditioning it gives your body is amazing, it especially conditions your body to withstand moves that would commonly cause muscle strains.
kneeling pull, rope work, bike training (maybe), explosive push ups, homers, referees position jumps(maybe)
I improved thanks to you
This is great! Thanks for posting.
do some for boxers !! Would greatly appreciate it
I was a college wrestler, and these seem great! Thanks for the drills💪🏼

You shouldn’t do all of this in one workout
What do I learned from coach Miller?
If you want to improve as athlete, you must single leg squat
Cannot escape one of thee most valuable tools lol enjoythesuck
Me gustó pero debería tener variantes por sino tenemos algo como la soga

Can we use those exercises for jiu-jitsu?
That first exercise exposed some major imbalances or mobility issues in my right side
Just subbed. This stuff shouldn't be free!
Lol I love the noises you make when showing the exercises FOOOOOMMPPPP FOOOOOPPPPPP
also zerher squat is amazing.
i cant find your wrestling template in the description is it still available

Brutal😮coach..
good job like and stay connected
are there any substitutes for the rope climb i can do (im heavy weight)
You can do supported rope climbs with your legs on a chair or a box
And how many minutes should rest between sets?
I have trouble with the explosive push ups past clapping height
Best way to get into wrestling shape and that's wrestle.
Jump rope is my favorite exercise for 🤼♂️
