    We filipinos always drinking bone broth its one of our traditional food we called it bulalo, its a beef broth but we eat the meat too and the meat inside the bone which we called bulalo, we throw the first boiled water we remove the paste thats floating on the water, but be careful on beef broth it my give you gout if its too much, we do it on chickens too we separate the broth from the chicken meat which we mixed on our noodles which is one of our traditional food too called pancit, the broth will be our soup.

      It is not the cause of gout, but sugar. Bone broth heals your leaky gut. When you have leaky gut, sustance in it comes out from your intestine to your blood stream which causes your immune system attack itself causing inflammation. Research it leaky gut pls.

    I like to start it in the morning, simmer for about 12 hours the one day and an additional 6 hours the next day. The 18 hours of simmer time makes a significant difference in flavor and gelatinous consistency especially for beef bone broth. All the instant bone broths I've tried do not even come close to the flavors of home made. I only use the instants when on the road or when camping.

      Helo Swede, Yes you can fast on only bone broth... you can heal very quickly that way, because you are using concentrated nutrition and nothing harmful. Use only organic free range chicken and vegetables, she made a big mistake and did not mention in her video. Get this book: "Nourishing Broth" by Sally Fallon Morell... there is SO much good information in there! Hope that helps you Swede :) Monte

    I going to start on this bone broth diet for other reasons. I am not overweight at all but skinny; but I have high blood pressure and taking diabetic medications. This diet will starve all the fats from my liver and pancreas; so hopefully in a few months, I can get off the medications. No more bread, pasta, potatoes ( french fries, this gonna kill me), and no more fast foods. I have a friend who had the stomach surgery ordeal and he went on the 800 calories a day; which is 2 protein shakes, 3 ounces of protein (chicken or beef) and couple bites of broccoli/carrots. That's it for the last 3 months, and he lost 85 pounds.
    I was wondering why she don't consume the vegetables with the soup. I think it is a good idea because it fills one stomach up.

      Low carb with plenty natural fat and generous protein should have helped a lot by now. One other thing is the intermittent fasting - two large meals each day but go around 16 hours without food if you're not too hungry. This creates a lot of change! I hope it's working out well for you.

      Eileen. I wish to share my fasting experience. As a Muslim we have obligatory fasting in the month of Ramadhan for 29 or 30 days .
      We are also encouraged to fast on Mondays and Thursdays . I found out that intermittent fasting has alot of health benefits especially to diabetic patient. With bone broths, no processed and preservative we will benefit....broth spiritual and bodily.

    What she did not say is when done strain then cool then put in frig. The Fat will come to the top about an inch or so take it out and discard because animal fat is not good to eat. Easy to make, very cheap. do not ever buy. I bought a 8.5 qt slow cooker, croc pot just to make bone broth in so I do not have to make as often. Do not pay $71.00 on her web site for something that costs $5.00 or less to make. I bought 2 rotissery chickens put breasts aside, removed the rest of chicken from bones and bagged them for freezer with breasts, came to 6 meals for us then made my bone broth, you can add a lemon or vinager. when done I had 11 cups of broth. I slow cooked it about 18 hrs. Wow! good!

      @thethethe7892 5 лет назад +8

      Animal fat is amazing to eat, the original fat.. It's silly to think something that has nourished our species for thousands of years is all of a sudden bad for us... Much better than the only a century old, garbage, overly processed, chemical filled, dead oils like vegetable oils and margarine.... If you want to be truly healthy get your fats right...

    • @Chxzz1
      @Chxzz1 5 лет назад +6

      "because animal fat is not good to eat"
      You have *NO IDEA* what you are talking about and should not be giving advice on nutrition, as you obviously just believe anything you are told.

    • @natashat2930
      @natashat2930 7 месяцев назад

      @mirasingh7428 Yes, you could have meat on bones. I often like to make chiken bone broth from chiken drum sticks, or from an entire chiken. First, I boil my chiken for about 5 minutes and change water. Then to that water I add salt (a little) , veggies, herbs and cook it either in instpot on high pressure (for 45 minutes) or boil on the stove top for a couple hours on low. If you cook it on the stove you might need to add water if it evaporates too much.

  • @boots73ca

    Using bones twice is fine.
    Don't use the pressure cooker! Boiling destroys nutrients! I use red meat bones for anemia, chicken for this and general immunity. Chicken soup by Grandma wasn't just feel good, rather a proven method to get well.
    Just barely cooking these is the key. Slow cooker on low is super easy if you worry about stove top.
    If you use the bones twice, as soon as they cool, put them in a freezer bag and into the freezer unless you are making your second batch within a couple of days.
    Be well everyone!

    Hello from Argentina. I ve prepared bone broth with Chicken bones with the crock pot for the first time. It cooked for 26 hours But there was no jelly as I saw in beef bone broth. Is it OK?

    Hi Dr Kelly Ann
    I make my own in a slow cooker for 12 to 15 hours using 2 organic carcasses, the next morning I get pure jello soup with fat on top but it is cloudy despite straining twice? How can I stop this?

      @@DrKellyann what can I do to prevent this? The broth is like jello, is it still gut healing?

      I have tried this before on low twice and it never gelled. One was for normal time and the other was for 24hours.. it only seems to gel when it is cooked on medium for 12hours.

      The benefits are from the collagen, which is in bones. Vegetables would create a broth only.

      Yes, I seem to have the same problem. My butcher sells grassfed beef but can't supply the bones from that animal.... ridiculous to say the least.

    Use the veggies. It is like a waste of food just to strain it out. Don't waste food.

    • @CreativeDee

      The downside of using those vegetables is because they have been cooked for so many hours, you are not really gaining any benefits from eating them. I put a fresh lot of veggies in the bone broth and we then have soup with all of the benefits from the bone broth too.

      Done a beef bone broth last week, 48hrs in slow cooker, meat was devoid of any taste by this stage, so consulted my doggos about disposal, they obliged, i escaped being savaged. All good.

    why the cooking is so long? can it be shorter? and why separate the meat from the bones if you cook them together?

      Put in the fridge once cool, then skim the fat. If it's organic chicken, the fat is good for you in moderation.
