The Chaos Emeralds look really cool here. If only they were used in the story to show off their detail more.
Okami O'Donnell If only the game were more than 4 hours... They could have done so much with the story, but they kinda dropped the ball on a lot of things. Especially Chaos. And Shadow. And Infinite. And Silver. And Classic Sonic. ESPECIALLY Classic Sonic.
Wait... why aren’t the chaos emeralds used in the story? Seems like they would be *really* helpful, it would make the game longer, super sonic wouldn’t have to be DLC, it would have been great
@The AnimatorGuy Aaaaand because they needed to take the Emeralds out of the plot because the second Sonic got his hands on them, he would wipe the floor with Infinite in two seconds and the game would be over.

To be fair I finished Sonic Generations in less than 4 hours so the length isn’t the problem it’s the story
@@ajsabum yeah, and that's not a problem there because the story clearly isn't the focus, so the game is obviously going to be much shorter. In Forces, where they heavily focus on the story, you should expect it to be a decent length. And not just that, the levels are way smaller and way worse designed, so that's also a problem.

the dlc didn’t release yet this was found in the game’s files hope fully there will be an extra boss or something
I looked this up a while back, and this includes Sonic Mania. Even if Sonic used the Chaos Emeralds to activate his Super Form, the Phantom Ruby can cancel out the Emeralds power and Super Form, even the Master Emerald.

*when you find out that Eggmanland is longer than all modern sonic stages* jk guys I enjoyed forces, not the best game, but had fun with it.

Sonic was too stiff and linear compared to titles like unleashed where he felt perfect and actually fast. When you boost in forces is just gives the illusion of speed when really it just brings him to top moving speed instantly. There was like 5-7 levels and the reused stages don’t count. Classic sonic has no momentum in his movement. The levels were wayyyy too short. Infinite’s final fight was just metal sonic reskined. I could keep going on. I want this series to do better but they keep rushing it for the holidays. Too many corners were cut with this game. Only redeeming factor would be the music and the nullspace level for using fist bump
@The AnimatorGuy I like the sonic games but I just don't feel like this is good at all. They put more time into the engine than the game itself. The levels weren't even creative at all.

The one thing that pissed me off with this game is how shadow is literally the reason infinite is the way he is..... yet they have no dialogue....... no story progression and shadow doesn't say a damn thing in the main game...... wtf
I mean, in Episode Shadow he talks to Infinite, so they HAVE dialogue, and he talks sometimes in the ratio and in the game ratio-scenes

You know what? I'll return to this game when super sonic dlc comes. I'll stick with Mario Odyssey and Overwatch for now, but when Super Sonic Dlc is released, I will happily return to this game.

Holy shit are you good, dude. If I had any space left on my hard drive I'd save this video, it also demonstrates pretty well that Forces has alternate routes. Seems the people who push the "linear stages" theory aren't all that great at the game.

The Impossible Dingo save for Mortar Canyon, MAYBE Aqua Road, and no doubt classic Chemical Plant, the game was VERY linear. They even re-used level sections in some cases!
Network Terminal, Null Space, Ghost Town...
Anyway this video again demonstrates that all of the levels aren't as linear as people say such as with those hidden areas above the sand slide in Lost Valley and can you prove the re-used level sections? The only really really linear levels I can think of are Final Judgment, Egg Gate and Iron Fortress and sorta Imperial Tower although that was a bit like S3&K's Death Egg. Final Judgment was pathetic I'll admit, Egg Gate was short and linear but it was really cinematic. Iron Fortress was a shithole but for more reasons than linearity
