Nice to see that Dorkly actually addressed a criticism from way back in the day about the way the characters were animated. The unique poses look so much better than having the arms and head just float around the body.
I know this feeling far to well. I’ve beaten Mario 3 numerous times and every time I have two to three pages of items at the end of the game. Many times I have to use items because I run out of room to hold them all. Every time I say I’m going to use my items this time and every time I don’t.

The lava pit with a ghost seemed like the perfect time to use it. Timed right, the tanuki suit’s statue form’s feet can actually pop those fireballs ☄️📌

in certain water levels if you don't use special items like the Frog suit, you can't find some secret zones though. And the same is valid with the P-wing and certain levels in the sky. Also if you bring with you the 3 Warp Whistles in level 8, they become literally useless at the end, so it's better to use stuff earlier

this is me in just about EVERY RPG game i have ever played, or any game that has a lot of 'random stuff' to collect, i just don't want to 'waste' it and sometimes i don't even bother looking at what it does like all the crap i collect in dark souls

Honestly, with how the Frog Suit restricts your movements, it might have actually been a good choice for the airship. No flighty jumping and sliding to accidentally put you in line with a stray projectile.
The tanooki suit wasnt good on the airship anyways, you cant fly on such a small space and youll lose it very quickly dur to the massive amount of bullet bills.

This reminds me of how sometimes I get these special items in games, or even just common items, and end up just keeping them in my inventory and saving them even when I could really use one. I just knew what would happen, I knew that the goomba would hit Mario Juniour, that was quite funny, haha. Welp, at least in 50 years, probably at least one more was found. They saved it for a long time which was good, but it's not so much about how long you save it for as how much use you make out of it, if only they had used it at the bullet bill part where they were doomed. I love the goomba then talked (like what usually happens in your videos) and said that and yeah.
I like Yahtzee's take on the whole "I might need it later" problem. "You find yourself in a situation where you're sitting on a nuclear stockpile to rival North Korea and you're throwing peas at a giant robot crab just in case there's an even bigger robot crab just around the corner."

This is me in almost every game with consumable items. My Skyrim characters have inventories full of items which I save for that perfect moment, and then I die forgetting I had them.
I'm the same way in the Kingdom Hearts games. Even during a Lv 1 run, I absolutely *refuse* to use items. I always think "what if I need it later?" or "what if I need to sell it?"
It always happens that to me in every metroid game with the missiles, I always am spamming the power/wave/plasma/nova/ice beam even if I have 150 or more missiles, also with the power bombs have the same issue with them

I remember in code veronica, i saved up all the magnum ammos for final boss and barely if not never used it. kill it with a hand gun and maybe other weapon.

I thought the punchline was gonna be that he did use it and then after it's gone those two minions pull out "the thing" they prepared So even if you wait for the perfect moment there will always be a more perfect one or smth.

There is actually special conversation if you beat one of the Koopa Kids with a frog suit (or any special suit). But the frog suit is the best one.

I find myself holding a power up, like a little baby, and not use it during the whole game.
That suit also turn into a stone statue you would be invincible about short amount of time.
And kill some enemies by crushing them that are otherwise invulnerable to all other types of attacks from Mario.
