Finnair A330 Business Class - Helsinki to Beijing

- Finland's Flag Carrier, Finnair, operates an A330 from it's hub in Helsinki to Beijing. I went had the pleasure of experiencing their business class product on this flight, and have thus made an exhaustive film about the experience and journey. Our route has us flying through Russia's Siberian Corridor, a flight path only a select few carriers have the privilege of operating above. This 8 hour overnight flight allowed me to try out the flatbed as well the full extent of Finnair's long-haul lounge and on-board service.
I had originally booked this flight when it was scheduled to be serviced by an Airbus A350, but, for better or worse, a plane change resulted in us taking an A330 instead.

The best flight I have had been on is with Finnair on their A350 (OH-LWL). The aircraft comfort was amazing and the service was fantastic. I have been on Emirates A380 and 777 many times, and I have been with Singapore, Thai and SAS. And Finnair have been my best experience overall. Btw, I'm from Denmark 😁

We always used to fly with Finnair, from Berlin, over Helsinki to Seoul. I always really enjoyed the flights with them and hopefully I can make that trip next year again. ☺️

Helsinki has currently quite many bus gates, because the plane gate areas are going through major renovations. Heavies never are bus gates when all gates are operational.

I've been binge-watching your very enjoyable and instructive videos. I've forgotten in which one early on you said it. You successfully and appropriately used the word "vapid"! I think you and I are the only humans left on the planet who know the word and aren't afraid to use it. However, when I use it, it is with a picante venom-......that is, if salsa would ever be flavoured with a neuro-toxin. While my Tex-Mex friends have always fed me safely and well, there may be a venomous salsa out there....

I'm curious to see the new lounges. The new Premium lounge has got positive reviews, the Business lounge is partly under construction still still but looking good. I like the desing, Nordic style with a new twist.
Here are my personal criteria in descending order of importance when it comes to lounges:
1) Shower
2) Sleeping room
3) Food
4) Shoe Shine Machine.

Had my upcoming Finnair flight HEL-LHR on the a350 swapped for an a330. Qatar pulled the same move with the same aircraft on my DOH-SIN trip. Those a350s are proving to be pretty elusive for me.

Finland: Cloud Berry Liqueur. It makes me laugh with every sip. Delightful. You can even get little chocolates with cloud berry liqueur inside. A Brasilian showed me this.

Very detailed trip report. I was right to believe Finnair outclasses North American airliners which are third world. Although I personally think the western breakfast looks much appetizing than the Asian one and the dinner. And yeah I also think the Airbus 350 is much cooler than the Airbus 330.
Like your swagger, I’m flying Finnair for the first time Saturday to CAN and looking forward to it.

Yikes! I took Finnair Business class 5 years ago from Bangkok to Italy, and it was wonderful experience. The cabin didn’t look anything like yours.

Actually it is an abbreviation pronounced "lilla", Swedish for "little" or "small", Lilla Bruket = The Small Mill (or The Small Works). But great video nonetheless!
