another top-notch trip report. I, and I'm sure many others, really appreciate all the time and effort you put in to making these high quality videos!! I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be watching it again soon. Well done Quebec Foxtrot Sierra and thanks for sharing! And nice drumming too!
nice to see the 2-4-2 layout. Glad that Finnair sees the sense to keep it while most others have 3-3-3...talking about window seats and the hassle in getting past 2 other passengers
I've flown Finnair to/from Chicago, always enjoyed it. This was in the mid-2010s so they may have been on A340's I think. Loved that lounge too. I agree, easy airport to navigate and also easy to get to/from downtown Helsinki. I ought to do a trip report with them again on my next Europe trip! - Red
Hey buddy, excellent flight. You can tell that was a sharp flight. The A330s are excellent aircrafts. Very very nice. Please keep coming out with more vlogs!!
Beautiful review ! I wonder why rear Economy seats had headrest covers but the forward ones didn't. Amazed to see no amenity kit for such a long flight. I didn't like that an Airhostess had her hands on the rim of the beverage cups. Surely wear gloves or have a trolley to serve from instead of walking through the cabin with an open bottle ? The main meal tray was indeed sloppy but looked way better when you rearranged it. Thanks again !
I am contemplating to fly on Finnair to visit beautiful Finland someday in the near future !! Their premium business ? seats are looking so good ,but not sure if I can afford them ! Although they're at very attractive prices !! So,watching what their economy seats are like in a video like this helps a lot ! Thanks ! 😊 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇫🇮💞
Hello! Nice video! :) I am going to same trip on May and I am already so excited when I watch this video. I have a question. Was this small dish later (muffin and that pastry) complimentary or did you have to buy this?
Great report, as usual! I haven’t toured Scandinavia yet, my plan is to fly Finnair one way, SAS return, LAX or SFO. That way I can try them both. I flew LHR SEA Monday on a new DL A330-900, no wifi yet installed. All else worked great. Beautiful plane, comfy, good food, service. Loved it! Check em out! (I was in Budapest).
Seems to be International flights boarding at International Airports on widebodies are always chaotic, but it won't be in Omaha if I get a job with GAT (part of United Airlines) which I will be extremely organized as a customer service agent. Also if you fly into Omaha on United, you could see me if I get the job. I had a phone interview a few days ago.
Wonder how you (and unfortunately many others) can call something dumb without even trying to understand the reason behind it. Just cause you don't get it doesn't mean it's dumb. Inconvenient / unusual in your experience? Maybe. But definitely not dumb. I would expect more curiosity and research from somebody supposedly passionate about this industry. Anyway, this is usually done when the crew isn't yet ready to accept passengers on board, but delaying boarding until they are ready would cause the flight to be late. So basically the time consuming processes of scanning boarding passes / verifying passports / conducting US CBP interviews (if that is being done at the gate) are being done while waiting for the crew to be ready, and when they give the green light for boarding, the only thing left to do is to let passengers on board. This gives plenty of time for the ground crew to unload any bags of no-show passengers and to correctly fill in the information on the load sheet, and generally ensures that the flight can depart on time, meaning that connecting passengers catch their connection and that the return flight has more chances to leave on time. So yeah, it's a widely-used efficient measure to increase on-time performance where / when needed, not something dumb.
Me calling it dumb is an opinion, something everyone’s entitled to. I still think it’s dumb even if the reason is for the crew not being ready. Why would they start boarding until they’re ready? Holding off on boarding would give passengers more time to grab a coffee and relax before all being herded into a secure area
I don't believe these holding bays make a noticeable difference, as everyone is still standing in the gangway while people start blocking the way in the plane to put their luggage away. The scanning and blocking people in is probably only handy to close boarding sooner and label people as late sooner. Still it's a dumb or better annoying design choice.
@@sternreport You are of course free to believe whatever you want. The difference is that you’re just assuming stuff, whereas for me this is the industry I’ve studied and worked in for my whole life so far.
Helsinki airport if awful place.... long queus and luggage waiting. lack of staff etc... Finnair basically is low-cost airlines with high ticket prices
Officially, Finland is Nordic, not Baltic (the Baltic countries being Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania). In the happy Nordic family of DEN FIN ICE NOR SWE, the 3 monarchies DEN NOR SWE are called Scandinavia. Yeah the Finnish language is remotely related to Hungarian, though Swedish is the 2nd official languagein Finland.
Finnair ha's the worst food in the airline industry ever from Chicago O'Hare to Helsinki oh my goodness had no flavor they need to get a new menu a new chef
Thanks QFS !
Yes QFS Aviation is back!!!

Amazing trip report! Finnair really is a great airline and joyous to travel with.
Not really that amazing
Thanks for filming, editing, and posting. Great video and music.
One of the best trip reports I've seen lately tbh
Always enjoy flying Finnair. Nice video.
nice to see the 2-4-2 layout. Glad that Finnair sees the sense to keep it while most others have 3-3-3...talking about window seats and the hassle in getting past 2 other passengers
3-3-3 on an a330 is nearly impossible.
Every widebody from Airbus is 2-4-2 configurated. Only the A 350 is 3-3-3.
@@nikolauswolff5791 Forgot the A380 with 3-4-3 on the lower decks.
Thats why i like a330/340
@@IpuffyyCebu Pacific have a high density 3-3-3 layout on an A330.
I’d hate to be on one of those A330’s
My Opiuion is Finnair on of thest Airlines in Europe.Great work
Hell yes you finally back with a new trip Report 👍👍
Brilliant reporting. Thank you for sharing your travels with us.
I missed these travel reports so much
Nice to see your videos again QFS
Thanks for sharing your trip!
Looking forward to this one, keep up the great work!
I wouldn't like starting a flight in such a chaotic manner.
Thanks Quintin for a nice report.😀💚
Thank god it doesnt happen every time here 😂😅

Beautiful shots! Keep it up! ✈
keep up the good work dude
Nice 👌 Greetings from Helsinki
Just wanted to add one thing. Many airports such as Singapore's Changi International practices this method of boarding.
Super video! 👏

Very nice. Yes please to the lounge with showers. But for me, the former blue & white livery was the beautiful one. Also preferred the former font. :)
Love finnair :)

I don't understand what you do during a 8+ hour flight... An in a small cramped space 😂😂 Great video though, thanks for making this beautiful content.
Nice but would've wanted to see the krone seats! Love the transatlantic ones!

QFS Aviation can you please do a trip report on United , Alaska , American or Southwest to Santa Barbara?
For the water the bottle looks like ÖBB Nightjet's Vöslauer but tastes much better.
SunCountry coming soon to Omaha will fly 2 flights a week to Minneapolis/St.Paul

The shops were closed in Helsinki due to a staffing shortage most likely
Hello,
I see there are two audio jacks so I do not need a splitter to use two headphone sets?
Very early for one of your videos again
Another excellent tranquil trip report. 32” pitch isn’t that standard, Qantas has 31” for its A330s.

What’s the name of the music that begins at 22:26
Awesome 👌
Very nice!
you fly economy over the pond ? in a seat next to the toilet ?
I heard leather seats are comfortable on long haul flights for the first few hours, then eventually become uncomfortable
In economy, meal presentation may be disorganized but taste good
Do the DeltaA321neo first class
National Airline of the happiest country in the world-so were the flight attendants very friendly?
Can you fly kuwait airways frankfurt to kuwait
Awesome
17:26 - #passengershaming. Gotta follow that page.
Can anyone let me know if this flight is all daylight?
The flight from Helsinki to New York is all daylight
I think Bussines class is better in this flight instead of economy especially on legroom
Umm...isn't that pretty much true on any flight? On any airline?

why are you not even blurring other people's faces? anyway, the report is overall nice ...

lol why would he blur people’s faces ??
Weird how you live in both the U.S. and Canada and have a Russian Visa
