That challenger isn't a fendt it's a Massey till the body work and some of the interior. The only challenger/fendt is in the new 1000 series tractors and new crawler tractors.
The 1000 series is made by Fendt in Germany. The Challenger and recently Fendt rubber track tractors were designed and built in Jackson, MN and have now started using the Fendt CVT instead of the Cat 16 spd.

The Massey plant in Beauvais France makes the Massey, Valtra, and Challenger, except for most of the North American 500 and 600 series Challenger and similar Masseys that are built in Jackson, MN using the French design. Not to be confused with the Challenger track tractors which were designed and built in Jackson and shipped around the world. In my opinion Agco is not the best with there electronics, in my experience i have a 2008 Massey 5455 tractor and since we bought when it was a year old, had the whole computer replaced, that forward/reverse switch on the steering column, all new injectors at 2400 hrs, lost all initial settings like how much hrsprs its set at and boost psi etc, and it still surges a little bit between 1900 and 2150 rpms. But our 2009 Massey 9795 combine is a much better piece of equipment than the tractor, in my opinion, its heavier built and just a better design than most combines of that time
The regen system on off road diesels is insane and you can think the government for that bullshit . It blows my mind the company’s are not fighting back .
Okay, non-farmer here: why are there no pedals? I realize that in the field you want to just set a speed and let it go, but not even an extra brake pedal? Is there some other reason that this non-farmer is totally missing? oh yeah, and: Sucks to be a leftie.
There are no clutches in tractors anymore. Everything is electric over hydraulic. That being said, there are still pedals because in a panic situation, it is instinct but they are not needed.
DEBOSS GARAGE with all due respect that’s not quite true, no clutches as you traditionally recognise on the flywheel but there are multiple clutches/clutch packs in most tractor gearboxes power shift, semi power shift, 16x16, dct and the cnh cvt all have clutch packs.

Lol our Ford 7710 4wd has like 4 switches,( they all work yet) and you gotta be a 400lb gorilla to hurt the thing, out of the 20 year we have owned it we have put a single clutch in it, it doesn’t have enough piwer to lift some of the 3-point implements we use so we use the loader and push the front up and lift at the same time amd it just keeps chuggin along😂
What happens if you fart in reverse do you hit the back window? That's a huge safety issue. Needs a recall on sneezing and farting while operating
You are how old?
@@alexveldhuis6004 I would think it's more childish to try and insult me instead of just skimming through a joke that wasn't to your liking. Just curious did that make your day if so please come with more.
@@lovetolearn5253 I'm 55, how old are you?
@@alexveldhuis6004 19
@@alexveldhuis6004 not sure how that's relevant
Challenger < Versatile
275 grand jesus tour could buy a fendt for that
Yes. A fendt with a MAN engine
$275,000 is the cheap version? Yikes.
Why isn’t it green?
An old 8N ford will do for my plowing
Wow come along ways since the case steam tractor and ford jubilee. Hahaha
Looks like they are ways behind Valtra etc.. 🤷♂️
Valtra is acctually pretty good tractor. Atleast the older once that were made in Finland.
They started off as Cat drivetrain, but Cat wouldn't redesign them to meet emissions so are now Finland made SISU engine with Fendt drivetrain. They are also now building the green Fendt track version there and all have the dependable CVT with no clutches to fail.
Aint that pretty much a Massey in yellow?
Yup
like a shittily built massey. A lot of things in the cab have the same design as masseys quite a few years older than 2011
My Rc tractor has less plastic on it than this thing :( Still good looking tho.
Sorry
The engine is not made by sisu
It’s made by AGCO Power
Still a sisu, made in same factory... Barely anything has changed... I think...
Junneri nope, you are wrong
Sisu and Agco power have nothing to do with each other any more
@@martinandersson5278 this is from wikipedia... The purchase of Valtra also included SISU Diesel engines. A Finland based diesel engine manufacturer with production in Brazil as well. But i am not sure if they sold it at some point.
Junneri sisu diesel does not exist today
It’s all Agco power today supplying AGCO group with engines
Sisu is using Mercedes Benz engines and gearboxes
Sisu still makes their own axles
@@martinandersson5278 yeah, thats what i meant... Sisu (trucks) dont make engines but agco bought the sisu diesel engine manufacturing and it got renamed to agco power. But engines are basicly still the same sisu diesels.
To be fair, your pinky finger is stronger than most men’s index fingers.
Good looking tractor but I prefer deere
That’s a thousand bucks per horse 🤷🏼♂️. I’d assume a buck’s stronger than a horse. Idk which I’d rather
But our 2009 Massey 9795 combine is a much better piece of equipment than the tractor, in my opinion, its heavier built and just a better design than most combines of that time
No more "dusty old farmers out working your fields..." not with that A/C compressor and enclosed cab. Nice rig.
the tires are slightly worn
Shure tis but a Massey Ferguson
If someone paid 275 thousand for it you would have thought they would at least keep a nice clean cab just general maintenance really
Basicly a Ferguson 7726 just much more expensive
You should try the fendt 7 series 2000 - 2007
Or just buy the 1050 fendt.
275.000 ? for that you should get like an 826 Fendt new here
The regen system on off road diesels is insane and you can think the government for that bullshit . It blows my mind the company’s are not fighting back .
Well the tractors sold 30 -40 years ago did the job just fine at 2.500 to 3.000 $ ..inflation must stop now..
What model of tractor could you buy new for $2500-3000 in 1980-90?
Okay, non-farmer here: why are there no pedals? I realize that in the field you want to just set a speed and let it go, but not even an extra brake pedal? Is there some other reason that this non-farmer is totally missing?
oh yeah, and: Sucks to be a leftie.
There are no clutches in tractors anymore. Everything is electric over hydraulic. That being said, there are still pedals because in a panic situation, it is instinct but they are not needed.
Thanks for the clarification. Still sucks to be a lefty, though... :-) (I'm not a lefty, but I know several...)
@@rossfowler5252 splitting hairs now. Yes, clutch packs...
DEBOSS GARAGE my bad, ever need a manual for one hit me up!
Who cares about the tractor lets see that K car.
