The only thing I take issue with is not having driven a tractor! You haven’t lived until you’ve mowed at least one vast swathe of grassland with one! LOL!
I'm in heaven here. I grew up somewhat a city slicker but I've always been a plow boy at heart. This is my new DG #1! I do mobile mechanic work for some of the tomato farmers here in Florida & although these guys all run Juan Deeres, I'm sure 1 day you'll put out a vid that will save my bacon. Thanks in advance, LOVE the new channel!!!
Kevin's a chill guy, I really enjoyed the video! Right off the bat he's got the basics down of talking to the camera, he can pretty much do his own thing while you do yours and just push more content out that way. Kevin's personality isn't far off from Rich's so it's not a harsh change for us and flows well with the existing library of videos and Rich. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see more videos
I like the heavy equipment stuff just as much as the on road stuff, maybe even more. Good idea with adding the other channel. As always keep up the great work 👍🏼
I love the idea of a second channel. My job has virtually nothing to do with construction or agriculture but I've loved big giant machines since I was a kid. Content like this let's me indulge that part of me vicariously - no room for a tractor in the family garage in the city - so thanks for taking the time! I wear my DG hat almost every day 👍
We’ve a MX110 at home in Ireland with a Quickie loader on it. Possibly the best tractor that ever came about the place. 12,000 hours on it a not a spanner put to it other then when it’s been serviced. Perfect tractor for loader work. A great all rounder. Handles a Kverneland 4 furrow reversible with ease like no other 110hp tractor. Never lays down and all the bad manners and abuse it gets off us at home. Walks around other tractors power wise (especially new ones!) Don’t make em like they used to!!!!
I definitely like the focus on Ag and construction equipment with me coming from the construction and farming world. These are fun to watch and educational. Thank you!
I don't own a tractor or farm but anytime I get a chance to learn something from a couple of intelligent guys like y'all it's a great day. Thanks for the new channel.
I'm currently 15 years of age growing up on a farm and looking to become a mechanic/technician. I do most of the repair work to machinery on our farm so videos like this are a great resource. Keep it up and hello from Ireland!
Subscribed to DG years ago so DGHD was an instant smash and not disappointed at all. Well done from the UK guys! Kevin seems like a great guy to, knows his onions!
In this video you showed two major issues I experienced with my MX120. I’ve spent some nights and it cost me a lot to find out bad powershift solenoid and the main positive plug. The bad thing about second hand MX’s is that you never know if you reach 10k, 20k or 30k of hours at the odometer. Thanks for great vids and all the best from Poland!
Love this new channel. Kevin is a natural in front of the camera, entertaining and keeps your attention. I am not involved with heavy equipment at all, but I do really enjoy learning how things work, so keep these videos coming.
Me, my brother and dad own a fairly large amount of farm equipment. I’ve been following this channel for awhile now and this mx110 video is a godsend!! We have a mx120 and typically we aren’t the kind of guys to give up on a piece of machinery that needs a bit of wrench pulling to iron out some issues... but our Mx120 has been nothing but a nightmare to utilize on our mixed cattle and grain operation. Like we basically have been limiting it to a 2 wheel drive snow plow. PTO, rockshaft, diff lock, mfwd all have been non functioning. We just didn’t know where to start looking and weren’t about to put any money into it, when we have six other tractors and harvesting units that are needed or more reliable. Hell the old man’s cockshutt 1900 with a gm 4-53 is ten times more reliable(albeit deafening lol). Anyways just wanted to say thank you for putting out videos like this!
The PTO has a switch that shorts out internally, look at the pto shaft, then look about 10 o'clock near the shield -- that switch tells the instrument cluster if you have the shaft in 540 or 1000 position -- remove the wire from the switch and tape it up(replace the switch if this fixes the problem) -- can't remember which fuse it is, but there is one blown -- the functions should return with a new fuse
I love and work on on road vehicles but I just love seeing these agricultural and construction equipment videos, never a bad thing to learn about everything that’s out there
Hello from Finland! I had mx 100 for several years. Last year i changed it to a bigger one. The Case had been driven for 8,000 hours at that time without major problems. A few electrical parts had been replaced, the mechanical parts were working well. The only thing I miss is that engine sound!
I'm not a farmer and dont ever use heavy equipment but I enjoy these videos anyway. It's just fun to learn about things you would never normally be exposed to.
Pays to note with the pto If you haven't changed it in a while Clean the hole out in the end of the shaft, if it fills with dirt and rust itll either won't shift or half shift Half shift and itll take teeth off the shift ring
Love the new channel! It’s funny because I was thinking during the combine videos man Kevin is a cool guy you should do more with him Rich. Nice work guys you work well together
Love your channel, slowly trying to educate myself on engines and saving the old man some money when it comes to our two 8.3’s, one 5.9 and one 3.9 Cummins engines!
I am a farmer so i enjoy the equipment videos. I also enjoy the on road stuff. Basically if it has a throttle I'm in . I watch every video yall put out. Keep em rolling.
Have a mxm120 with a westendorf loader that gets used every single day. Not at all the same machine but similar size. Used one of your videos for guidance on taking apart planetary last winter. I like these as much or more than the car builds. Keep up the great work!
This is actually a really good idea for videos. Specialized market, yes. But that particular market is VERY sensitive to downtime. So seeing where things can be field fixed instead of taking it to the dealer.. priceless.
Really enjoyed looking at the Case tractor MX 110. I am amazed at the Agricultural equipment in use these days. My father worked on Massey Ferguson and Massey Harris equipment and later in his career he worked on John Deere equipment. As a young guy I worked on dairy farms and also in the tobacco harvest but that's another story. I recently saw a visit you made to place that had old aircraft. There was some old AVRO parts there and some talk about the AVRO Arrow. Our family lived just east of Malton and we saw the Arrow fly over on a number of occasions. Usually they had a Sabre chase plane. They were usually flying fairly low and the runways were fairly close. These were great memories for me. As kids we thought the Arrow was something very special.
Own 3 of these. Absolutely love them. Great loader tractors. Much better than modern CNH hunks if junk. The case loader that comes with these is the best built loader I've seen on a tractor this size. Have been very reliable. 1 of them has over 14k hours and runs as good as it did when we got it. Couple issues that weren't covered. All three tractors have had issues with wiring on the PTO sensor. Blows fuse and tractor won't go. Thanks to Deboss garage for a video for that fix! If alternator isn't charging fully PTO sometimes won't stay on. Has to do with the sensor getting enough power. I've swapped all of them to the higher amp alternator and that fixes it. A stupid design is the loader lever. Plastic top comes off over time and good luck sticking the thing back on! The aspirator has these small little holes that fill up with dirt. Compressed air doesn't get it out very well. Have to use a hunk of thin wire or something to push it out because they spiral around and you can't get anything thicker in there. Not a fun job. Last but not least the biggest problem with an mx110 is that they only made them for 4 years! Unless you want a McCormick mtx... Love these AG related videos keep em coming!
Big fan of these videos I'm an apprentice mechanic and I started watching your videos for this content I find it super interesting and informative keep up the good work!
Brilliant. Just a few relatively simple observations like this can totally alter your abilities to diagnose and correct. Not many experts are willing to share such knowledge = result you continue to pay top $ when it's not the disaster it appears. This stuff is brilliant. A few more owners will now be much more confident to try and diagnose. Thank you.
100% on board with the agricultural focused stuff. Loved watching the combine videos and all your tractor splitting videos. Even got me looking through auction time to see what deutz tractors were going for after watching that air cooled diesel video.
I am in no way a farmer, but I work in design of construction equipment so it's great to learn! Keep the videos coming, Kevin is a great guy to have on the channel! Much love from down the road in Ancaster 👍
Love the idea of this channel no one makes good tractor repair videos we got a mx 120 love the tractor 9000 hrs on it and motor has never been touched!
I work in a farm spares place and I try to find what parts people need, these videos are very helpful for me, although the tractors I work on are European models so there are some differences I see, also things like the electrics tip help with all tractors as I have a 1989 mb trac that has the same problem with the bulkhead wiring connections.. thanks for another great video👍
I recently purchased a 2003 Case IH JX95. It only has 269 hours on it. Of course the JX line were made in Turkey with IVECO engines. One thing that bugged me was that the oil filler neck would pull right out of the block. A big bump while working in the field would have popped it right out. So I took a good center punch and dimpled 4 points around the block entry which made for a light interference fit. Then I took some Permatex green used to seal new cylinder sleeves in diesel blocks and applied before tapping in the oil filler next. Hopefully it sealed. I will find out in a little while.
Awesome video!..I’m actually looking to buy an Mx100 at the moment and I know they have a few quirks and so this video made me feel a lot better about my potential purchase!..I would love to see more videos about the more popular tractors from before emissions like the maxxum 5000 series…the New Hollands TS series and alike…anything Ford and International!…everyone loves tractors so you can’t go wrong with them!!
I grew up in the Midwest and worked on farms, now I live in Los Angeles, only tractors I see is on RUclips, I've been long time subscriber on the other channel, but you had me hooked at 5.9 P-Pump...... BTW I inherited my Dads Hot Shot truck who just happens to be a 2nd Gen 3500 w/ a 5.9 Cummins built by Banks w/ 135k miles, let's put it this way..... my neighbors REALLY know when it's street sweeping day, and I wish my 2018 2500 6.7 sounded as good.
Your a legend I have a Carra front end in a tractor I bought making noise when I turn the dealer sold it to me with the advisement that it needed new front diff I know they put just gear oil in it no lsd oil and it made no sense as makes no noise driving forward or back
I own 2 7140 case IH tractors.I had just got through resealing a front hub and I’ll be , there was your video. I watched it several times. I think I’ve watched all your stuff on tractors more than once. I’m very happy to see this new push for the HD off road as l have lots off red and yellow iron. Thanks Rich and best wishes on your continued success.
Was watching a video from how farms work where your man was driving the neighbor's magnum and it had a similar issue, I think switching on the lights killed the tractor.
Funny mentioning the anti slip additive, it applies to wet disk brakes too. Discovered this the hard way with wet brakes in a manitou forklift, changed brake pack seals, manual called for standard 80w90, the noise when braking was awful! 😂 Customer never wanted to spend anymore and it was several years later I found out there was a friction modifier you had to add but not stated in the manual. Universal tractor transmission oil usually has these additives already in and has a gl4 rating so try to use it where I can even though its thinner than 80w90.
I'd recommend a MX 135 with a 15ft bushhog for that 2.25 acre lot. I mean think of all the time you'll save by how fast you can mow. Then you can spend that free time fishing.
Guy I work for has a MX120 had those same shift issues before with skipping a gear on the 1-4 usually would get to skipping 3rd and going straight to 4th good to learn more since I am used to all John Deere.
Yeah, check those two solenoids, if they are the square type, just replace them both -- you can test for magnetism on the end of the solenoid to see if it is working -- the shift switch works two relays that operate the solenoids -- two solenoids give the four shifts, so different combinations of the solenoids -- dont need to rune the engine, only key on
We'll done guys, super informative and fun too. I drove a 120 and 170 mx for a couple of years at work but never came across these issues luckely. Only a piston that got stuck on the 120 mx.
At the case dealership that I work at, we had a farmer on a 5000 series maxxum kept braking the pin in the shift collar. Happened 3 times in 6 months. Finally we had him shift the pto while we watched, first thing he grabs is a hammer to tap the shaft..... ended up billing him for all the “rework”
Got a magnum 8910 on the farm with some peculiar electrical issues, turn a fan switch or wiper switch, and it dies, might have to look into that power stud
Excellent excellent excellent video! Very informative and now I feel confident about buying one of these tractors. I'd Love to see a video like this covering other models and semi's such as the Kenworth t680 with an x-15 Cummins motor. Thank you
I definitely like these videos. I am a farmer and really like how you both describe things. Very easy to follow. I would love see see some on Allis chalmers 7000 and 8000 series. I also have a Agco dt220a with suspension cab and having issues with the compressor. Dealer wants a lot of money to change it because everything is under the cab. Would love to see a lower cost solution
love it it's great that you are helping people out to help them save money... you are the best ... right on time keep it up..and stay safe.. from the USA...
This video just saved me a buttload of $$$! Hundreds for sure! On my MX120, I was looking at replacing first the shift solenoids as the power shift was goofin up, then the alternator and/or batteries cuz of low power to the cab and new remote cables cut they were so stiff it would bend the levers. Great videos guys, 👍 and sub for sure!
Neighbor had a MX120, just a two wheel drive, he ran the hell out of it. Seemed like a solid machine, he ran it for a long time. I wouldn’t mind owning one, it would make a great everything tractor.
One thing I was anticipating but didn't see: if you lose brakes on one of these, it might be that the standpipe that keeps a supply of oil in the master cylinder reservoir on the front side of the cab firewall has slipped down. My family's MX120 had that happen when it was relatively new & I well remember being given the job of driving it to the dealership without brakes, probably 17 or 18 years ago.
Common problem on all those that use the plastic reservoir -- the drain tube is supposed to extend to the top of the reservoir, but as you mentioned it slips down -- I have pushed the tube back into place and "crimped" the end to hold it
Subscriber from Durham region for over a year now; Kevin is a great addition to your channel! If I may be "that guy" that asked your input on an linkbelt 210 X2 excavator with "electrical fault" displayed accompany loud alarm once hydraulic pump is engaged? Banner covers screen so I can barely see temp levels and fuel
God damn I love those things. Used to run a MX135 at my old dairy job before going out on my own. Unfortunately the muffler rotted off and I was FORCED to put one of those chrome straight stacks on it 🙄 Sounded sweet! Sure the neighbors loved when I started mowing at 9pm with that thing wound out 😂😂
Awesome love this idea Ritch subscribed before you even finished talking about the new Chanel on your other Chanel. This is what i enjoyed most about your other Chanel
Im digging it! Good info. Keep it coming. Def tell your neighbor is passionate about those units. He about sold me one and we dont have enough land for it!
Ahhhh, bringing outmy inner hd gearhead. Love the new channel, keep up the awesome content. And case is just like Chrysler, when you change diff fluid with limited slip, gotta add friction modifier. Had a durango, after 60 miles, wouldnt move. Forgot the friction modifier. Luckily only had to pay for a tow home.
What would you do with a Case IH Maxxum MX 110?
Take that Cummins out of there...
That would be a good tractor for cutting hay!
Nitros it
Trade it in for 2 JD 4430 tractors. Lol
Rebuilt it, then make it into a coffee table. You guys are the best channel on RUclips
I have never worked on a tractor, i will likely never own a tractor, i haven't even driven a tractor buy i can't get enough of these vidyas.
you are now a tractor fan. I used to be. Now i am an extractor fan
The only thing I take issue with is not having driven a tractor! You haven’t lived until you’ve mowed at least one vast swathe of grassland with one! LOL!
@@compactc9 Wrong, you havent so nervous, operating a 9ft wide machine through spaces 9ft 6inches wide, all day long, thats real, tractor driving!
Dude I’m 14 and want to be a heavy machinery mechanic I enjoy this greatly.
Thanks!
Thanks man. Much appreciated.
I'm not even remotely involved in the agricultural machine industry, I still dig the content.
I loved this so much! You guys have fantastic chemistry and both of you explain things in a funny, easy to understand manner. Major props. Keep it up!
Thanks! Much appreciated and I'm sure Kevin feels the same. Just need him to figure out how to make a profile so he can comment...
I definitely like the focus on Ag and construction equipment with me coming from the construction and farming world. These are fun to watch and educational. Thank you!

15:17 “OH BOY OH BOY DOES IT SOUND LIKE EVERY OTHER 5.9 EVER!?” “IT DOES, WEEEEEEE!”
Unless you are in EU where there's no Uncle Sam protection. And emission laws actually apply :)
And it just makes noise.
DexMaster881 The UK does not compare to Canada at all.
Love this new channel. Kevin is a natural in front of the camera, entertaining and keeps your attention. I am not involved with heavy equipment at all, but I do really enjoy learning how things work, so keep these videos coming.

By far the agricultural videos are my favorite! Keep up the great work!

Never gonna own a farm
Never gonna wrench on a tractor

Will watch every single video on this channel.

Discovered this the hard way with wet brakes in a manitou forklift, changed brake pack seals, manual called for standard 80w90, the noise when braking was awful! 😂
Customer never wanted to spend anymore and it was several years later I found out there was a friction modifier you had to add but not stated in the manual.
Universal tractor transmission oil usually has these additives already in and has a gl4 rating so try to use it where I can even though its thinner than 80w90.
My Family has the same model from new. 18000 hrs now on original engine. Still going strong
My unreasonable wife would say that this tractor is too large to mow my 2.25 acre lot.😠
Love it
Tell her okay.. I will go buy some goats...As they might not find you handsome. But it least they will find you handy...
You shouldn’t have to put up with that kind of negativity 🤣
I'd recommend a MX 135 with a 15ft bushhog for that 2.25 acre lot. I mean think of all the time you'll save by how fast you can mow. Then you can spend that free time fishing.
Great chemistry between Kevin and Rich
I work on heavy equipment and i love these videos splitting tractors all that
This is a very helpful video. It is hard for farmers to get good reviews of equipment so this is great.
Have a 6bt in my Nissan love watching the videos of anything diesel / machinery this new channel is mint
I'm going to love the Ag & heavy equipment channel. Much more interesting to me than the on road stuff. Thanks for your work.
Power stud is bottom right hand corner of the cab. Under the fuses
Faulty cab power relay
Just commenting again for the system to keep seeing activity. Good luck w/ new channel!
Thanks man! Just waiting for some exec ok's and we have more videos coming
Think gonna really like this channel. More like Warren on Western Truck and tractor. He is all about fixing Ag ,semis and heavy industrial equipment.
I'm here mainly for the heavy equipment stuff, so keep it coming.
Love my MX 100c, 110 and 135. Thanks for the info. Great video
Heavily subscribed!
I'm an IH guy, anyway but IH Cummins is pure joy 😊
This video just saved me a buttload of $$$! Hundreds for sure! On my MX120, I was looking at replacing first the shift solenoids as the power shift was goofin up, then the alternator and/or batteries cuz of low power to the cab and new remote cables cut they were so stiff it would bend the levers. Great videos guys, 👍 and sub for sure!
Neighbor had a MX120, just a two wheel drive, he ran the hell out of it. Seemed like a solid machine, he ran it for a long time. I wouldn’t mind owning one, it would make a great everything tractor.
Keep em coming. Day 37 at home with my kids. Im out of movies, tv shows etc. YT content is the only new content ive got rn lol
We are doing our best. Big announcement coming tomorrow to keep you busy for the next couple weeks
@@DEBOSSGARAGE not a demand by any means. Extremely appreciative of the content during this crap. Love the vids!
Great video I have one you showed me a few things I didn't now. Thanks for taking the time . I like when you show tractor repairs
Cant get enough of Deboss garage!!
Great video ! Thanks! Just bought a4000hr mx120. Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
Fantastic video lads, love this new channel for the heavy stuff side 👏👏👏👍
Great work guys, keepem coming. I'm a Ford/New Holland user but it's always good to see what can go wrong with other tractors for reference.
God damn I love those things. Used to run a MX135 at my old dairy job before going out on my own. Unfortunately the muffler rotted off and I was FORCED to put one of those chrome straight stacks on it 🙄
Sounded sweet! Sure the neighbors loved when I started mowing at 9pm with that thing wound out 😂😂
Just sitting waiting for the exciting launch of this channel in Attercliffe Ontario.👍
I enjoy these videos I work on case, new holland and it’ll be great if you continue these videos they can help out with trouble on problems!
Awesome love this idea Ritch subscribed before you even finished talking about the new Chanel on your other Chanel. This is what i enjoyed most about your other Chanel
I guess I missed the part about perfume
Im digging it! Good info. Keep it coming. Def tell your neighbor is passionate about those units. He about sold me one and we dont have enough land for it!
We had to get some of his good equipment on the channel as the combine and skid steer are a little more on the other end of the scale.
I would love to see more videos like this
City not here but I do like the heavy equipment stuff. Kevin has lots of personality too. Looking forward to more videos.
Ahhhh,bringing outmy inner hd gearhead.
Love the new channel, keep up the awesome content.
And case is just like Chrysler, when you change diff fluid with limited slip, gotta add friction modifier. Had a durango, after 60 miles, wouldnt move. Forgot the friction modifier.
Luckily only had to pay for a tow home.
Yes I really enjoy these videos! Thank you for taking the time to make this.
