Why do so many of you guys hate on this man? I don't get it. He seems too be a genuine guy doing his best. He gives his advice on things and you take it or leave jt. I pulled a 1980 Ricky out of a pack i bought at a 7-11 i rode my bike to buy while i lived in Broken Arrow, OK in 1980. I was 8. Im 52 now and still have it.
@scottholder4431 I understand 10s are extremely rare. Look at Jordan PSA 10s which are not as rare as the Henderson commands the same price. Then Look at the Jordan 9s, they're value are more in line price. I understand we are talking about Jordan, but the gap and ratio between the Henderson 9 and 10 are way off in my opinion.
And can't pronounce simple star players damn names! This clown is an embarrassment to real baseball fans. He's a narcissistic money grabber....that's all!
His inability to pronounce well-known, borderline Hall of Fame players' names is perpetually astounding. "Loo-is TAINT" has a 66 career WAR, and he recently passed away. Put some respect on the man's actual name, Geoff.
This guy is a complete joke, knows nothing about baseball history, and is just a quick cash money grabber. Lost respect immediately. Miss pronounced 9 names lol smfh
so i think they found it under the shelf or something 20 years after it released, and then 24 years after they found it they sold it to him I think thats what he meant.
These packs remind me of the Burger King or Coca-Cola 3 card packs from the 80’s. I just bought a huge collection with lots of un-opened wax boxes from 70’s, 80’s & 90’s but not sure right now what I might open. Finding some kind of odd ball boxes in the mix.
Honestly you got robbed. 1000% they looked at the exposed cards before sealing the box. They left the Jack Morris showing to make it a little less obvious. What a rip off
In 1975 I was 17 years old and I was hitchhiking from my boarding school to where I was from Los Angeles. I started in Colorado Springs and after a couple of rides, I was on the ramp to freeway in Albuquerque a bronco with a puppy and a small pot plant. It was Pete LaCock! He was on his way to LA to play in his high school alumni game. He was a great guy with lots of baseball stories. He gave me a ride all the way to his Dads house in Los Angeles where I stayed overnight. His Dad was Peter Marshall from Hollywood Square’s He saved my life. ✊
I would NEVER spend $675-700 for a Kmart sold of any sports cards unless they're hobby cards. The odds of getting any of those cards you shown at the beginning of your video are 1:100 Some people just like throwing away their money on long shots 😞
@@AtomykpimpExactly, id bet my house he dont wantch sports. Hes only in the hobby for the money & social media to “flex” as its called. Truly laughable.
Geoff, Thanks for that video. I really enjoyed that, brings back memories of my childhood.👏👍🍺😎🇺🇸
Robin Yunt is my favorite all time Brewer.
You are killing me with the names
Geoff can't stop meme'ing himself.
Did he really call Luis Tiant Lewis Taint?? 25:52
I used to get Topps baseball cards as a little kid back then. Ozzie Smith was my favorite player.
I laughed at "Lewis Taint" so hard i had to watch it again.
so did I
Almost fell out my chair. Rip to the legend
Hard to believe he's a collector with as many as he pronounces wrong. Cool video, but it definitely Tiants my opinion. LOL
LOL... would have been funny if one of the "Lewis Taint" cards was in the middle of the pack... right between Dick Tidrow & Pete LaCock.
It's actually Tiant, but Taint was more fun

Thank you for saying this. This is exactly what I’ve been thinking.
That’s what happens when you’re successful. Those same people would ask him for a picture if they saw him in person.
They don’t like them because he just bought his way into the hobby and into the influence, but I think he’s truly passionate and I enjoy his videos
Love watching his videos

@MyMg23 Your wife does. 🫦
@@MyMg23 The people do.
always loved how the old cards smelled
Rickey likes to open cello packs. Rickey likes pulling cards of himself from his rookie year.
Rickey sure does...
Rickey gotta go now...gotta go 60 ft now. Gotta go now go now...😅
Rickey told me this when I was 9, Rickey cant sign now, Rickey gotta take batting practice, Rickey will get you later, Rickey never signed for me
Rickey owns all the Rickeys
I already have 4 of those bad boys and got them as a kid. Kept mine protected as a kid. They are still perfect today.
You should get graded
The gap between a PSA 9 and PSA 10 is WAAAAY too big. Should not be 100X.
Makes sense though. 26 psa 10s, 2300 psa 9s. Almost 100-1
It's because it's so tough to get a 10 with the centering and print issues they had back in the 80's.
louis taint? cmon man.
I think $3k for legit box is better value than these circus packs
Love the videos and the content. Thanks for everything you do for the hobby.
It's pronounced Bruce Suiter and Louie Teeant. Taint? LOL!
The PSA9 is a super undervalued card. It should be much, much higher in relation to the gap between a 9 and 10. The 9 should be a five figure card.
If you believe that then you should be out cornering that underpriced card.
The price difference is because 10's are almost impossible. Centering and print issues back in the 80's.

Dave King-Man 😅 Saying that name as if he were Christopher Reeves in South Park talking to Gene Hack-Man
Alternate title: Grown man pays $700 for $3 Pete Rose card, and gets stoked about it!

I love the Pete Rose card in this set
44 years not 24
I remember chasing the K Mart, Post etc. cards in the mid 80’s. Nostalgia
Was happy to see you hit that Rose.
Lewis Taint and Gene Tenass in the same box! 😅
@@RJM1977 don't forget Pete LaCock
@09:42 44 years Geoff not 24 years.
Bruce Sutter, pronounced "Suitor"
Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton were my favorite from '80 Topps
K-Mert was my first summer job back in the 90's 😅I use to open tons of those cello cards & collected the Mickey Mantle ones. Great vid 👍
It was fun to see you rip .
I have 1980 card set I always like backgrounds of some of cards.
You mean 44 yrs!!!
Fun video Geoff. Please do some hocley content.
Cheers
Geoff, you can get a 1933 Babe Ruth stereoview card for under $300 and they typically sell for $2000 or so at shows. Great arbitrage there.
I probably had that card when I was a kid in the early 80's. I sold all my baseball cards in 1988 yard sale. 😭😭😭
Ricky standing next to Lou Brock. --"Today I am the greatest of all time."
PSA 9 1700$ average but a PSA 10 150-180k$ average is crazy 😟 wow
Nice Taint
Actually a pair of nice Taints 👌
@@affirmed_7835 That's what she said 🤣
Thank you!
You passed up several hall of famers. Gary Carter, Jack Morris who was on top of a pack, etc

Pete and Reggie are great hits.

This man is not satanic!! 🤬
Psa stop giving out 10 s unless you are their close associates. So knock it off with the $180K card Geoff
Someone plz tell Geoff how to pronounce Louis Tiant.
He does this with a lot of names not a true fan just in it for the money but can’t hate cause he doing good!
@@carterzuriskI felt the passive and the aggressive in your comment😅
And Rick Reuschel
Bruce Sutter

$180,000 in a PSA 10. If ends up being a PSA 9 or 8 it’s about 1,500-$200. So much in between missing is crazy
I was 8 years old from Michigan going after Mark Fidrych.
@@johnwettach3140 my favorite Sports Illustrated cover as a kid was him and Big Bird lol
I am not kidding I got one of those boxes and pulled the Ricky Henderson rookie card
24 year's ? lets do that math over 2024 - 1980 = more than 24
so i think they found it under the shelf or something 20 years after it released, and then 24 years after they found it they sold it to him I think thats what he meant.
44 years 👏🍺🇺🇸
Would love for him to pull an 80 all star Carl Yastrzemski and hear him butcher that one! That would be almost sac-religious.
This guy's in love with his voice!!!!!
RBI baseball #1, Baseball starts #2. Distant 3rd tecmo baseball
i wish these cards were only 24 years old i would be a lot younger
Love 1980 Topps baseball.
Ricky henderson was my favorite
Dwight Evans was on second base when Hank Aaron broke the home run record.
Do you think me owning 38/50 Steph cards is smart. Trying to buy all 50 so I control the market
Checklists graded PSA 10 are Huge too...........
Lewis Taint? Dude. 😂
When is the next $2 pack whatnot live?
Crazy i bought a rickey rookie yesterday!!
Fun opening. Better luck next time

How much does that box go for now?

Loo-eee Tee-ahnt
