Thanks for the video. I have an '01 Taurus wagon. My subframe is so rotted from rust on the left side of the car that the lower control arm has nothing to attach to in the front! The engine/transmission mount on the left side is also collapsed and basically sitting on air. Other parts of the left A frame further back in the car are also rotting. The right side is not as bad in the front, but I've noticed the back is getting weak. This couldn't have just happened. Must have been rotting away for years to get like this. I'm amazed the car still drives and I'm alive. Fortunately I don't use it much, mostly for going to the dump, getting rid of branches and yard waste, and picking up lumber or bigger stuff that can't go in the car. The car is otherwise clean and running, but I can't honestly sell it to anyone like this. I'm researching these junk car buyers who advertise online, make you an offer, and send out a tow truck. Got an offer for $425 from one. Going to look around a little more locally and then pick one. Your video helped me understand how it should look and what happened to mine, so thanks again. I guess you don't live in the rust belt.
Bruh I feel your pain working on fords is not easy 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Just did mine. Not easy.
I'm about to be redoing the front end on my own '03. You've done me a great service publishing this video, Jeff.

No problem...I hope it saved you some time and money.
Did you torque these bolts down? I know ur supposed to but I don’t have a torque wrench and it looks like you didnt either so will I be fine without
Good video, makes the job look quite easy.
One quick bit of clarification. The specific mount you mention in the video is going to be referred to more commonly as the transmission mount.
Doing this job myself today, if you don't have enough clearange between the bolt and the bracket, you can drop the subframe to get that clearance.
How did you get low arm control in? I’m having trouble
How did you get the new one im I am struggling to get it back in
Watch the video...it should show how to remove and install it.
Did you have any vibrations at highway speeds prior to replacing it?
No... I don't have any
