I just got my tickets to Peace Out!! I've seen then 4 or 5 times as well. And The Black Crowes was THE best concert I've ever seen! And I've seen The Stones, The Who, Paul McCartney. They just blew the roof off!!!

In the early 70's, there were thousands of bands that started out just like Aerosmith. The vast majority of them didn't make it. The fact that their 1971 lineup is identical to their 2021 lineup blows me away. (Btw, you have to wonder, if John Bonham hadn't died in 1980, would Led Zeppelin have made it all the way to 2021 with their original lineup?)

It was a nice new 12 story building and, even in my room at the opposite end, 1224, could not be “free” of them once they started jamming out. Partly, it echoed up the elevator shaft like a giant speaker, but, mainly, they played LOUD! 😁 I never saw them hold back or get “fussy”. Still, in the half dozen or so times I was down there watching them, there was never anyone else! Just me and the Bad Boys from Boston. And they were cool guys. They just weren’t the typical BU student’s cup of tea❗️😀

I saw these guys for the first time at Sedalia in 1974 (Ozark Music Festival).. I'd never seen anything like Tyler before! Aerosmith embodied the mid to late 70's in my world... Fantastic stuff...

Joe Perry still amazes and is one of the finest hard rock/heavy metal guitarists of his age. I can't believe he was only ranked at #84 out of 100 on Rolling Stone's chart of greatest guitarists of all time. He was in his mid-60s when this video was made. He's 72 now and I think looks fantastic. Aerosmith has been with me since the age of 16 and I carry them in my heart for all time. God bless guys!!

Best concert ever!! 2001 took our 8yr old daughter (earplugs of course) But she knew all the songs as her Dad plays the guitar & people kept coming up "Oh if my kid knew your kid was here - they wanted to come!" She & I snuck down close & they dimmed the lights for "Don't want to miss a thing" on a cat walk - we were just feet away - what a memory - just memorizing :)

Aerosmith is one of the greatest! I'm 16 and I listen to music from the 90's back to the 50's and some people in school think there's something really wrong with me for that. MOST of today's music is nothing compared to the art of the 20th century.

I've always been a big Joe Perry guy. He epitomizes rock an roll guitar. His riffs. Style. An the way he moves on stage. You can tell he still loves what he doing to this day. He brings serious energy to his performance. This band is a classic American rock an roll band.
Something else -- Joe's technical skill is better now than it was in the '70s. For example, he does faster picking in some of his live stuff of the past 15 or 20 years than I ever heard him do on the classic studio albums, and he plays around with scales other than the good ol' pentatonic blues box. Either he practiced a lot in recent years, or he was always that good and the drugs just held him back.
That's great info. I did notice he threw a hendrix riff in-between his solo, on this live version of Sweet-emotion. I thought that was really inavative. Enjoy good music my friend.

aerosmith adapted in the 70s, 80s,90s and beyond you survive in rock by sometimes changing a little but keeping the foundation intact!!!!
Yeah they got smart and hired professional songwriters to help them out. I wish other legacy bands like Pearl Jam would do that, too.

Everybody needs to listen to P. Kelly. You're right my man. Aerosmith lost its edge post-rehab. Never again would we see another Rats In The Cellar, Draw The Line, Last Child...the list does on. Case closed.

I'm 16 and I listen to music from the 90's back to the 50's and some people in school think there's something really wrong with me for that. MOST of today's music is nothing compared to the art of the 20th century.
You keep on listening to it son!!! That's when bands actually played and practiced because they enjoyed it!! It wasn't about the money or fame it was the music!!! Especially southern rock!!!

@@justme4845 , same here. I saw them in Baton Rouge in '78 (Point Blank was back-up). My ears were ringing for 3 days. Aerosmith's peak only lasted about 3 years. A narrow window of time. I was glad to be a part of it.

just cannot describe how I feel after watching this video.Just so many things which I could write right now,but only one word- 'AMAZING'.
I've always been a big Joe Perry guy. He epitomizes rock an roll guitar. His riffs. Style. An the way he moves on stage. You can tell he still loves what he doing to this day. He brings serious energy to his performance. This band is a classic American rock an roll band.
Something else -- Joe's technical skill is better now than it was in the '70s. For example, he does faster picking in some of his live stuff of the past 15 or 20 years than I ever heard him do on the classic studio albums, and he plays around with scales other than the good ol' pentatonic blues box. Either he practiced a lot in recent years, or he was always that good and the drugs just held him back.
That's great info. I did notice he threw a hendrix riff in-between his solo, on this live version of Sweet-emotion. I thought that was really inavative. Enjoy good music my friend.
