Couple of inaccurate statements; 1) You want the isolation feet especially on wood or suspended floors. Concrete slabs and tiles are much more physically inert than wood. The walls are also important. 2) PB4000 = 13.5" driver, you were accurate with that. But the PB16U is a 15.5" driver, not 16". If you are going to specific, be specific.
Rigid structures require more damening. Wood is not as rigid as concrete or tile. You are right walls and how your house was made matters too. Just because the hole that a driver leaves is less than the advertised size does not mean its a lesser size of a subwoofer. I give accurate facts to the best of my knowledge.
Take a ruler and measure only the driver itself, then come and tell me again if the size is as advertised. Marketing wise, yes I understand it makes perfect sense to call it PB16U instead of PB15.5U. It's simply easier to say and print.
@@BenTan89 either way the PB Ultra still has much more cone area in a way...and a more powerful amplifier..more output and lower frequencies will be easier for it

In your demos, pb-4000 sealed mode and extende mode were great for me. As far as I know from my headset, he fills the room and performs hard. Get the new pb-16 ultra auspicious. Can you repeat the same demo after putting the new device on the pb4000? Because in this demo the pb4000 performed better than the pb-16 ultrasound on the right. Probably because the position of pb4000 is better. Anyway, I'm waiting for a new demo. :))
I was of the impression you preferred the svs towers to the klipsch' s. Apparently you like the klipsch towers for movies and svs towers for music lol.Man I loved both speakers.
nope. i prefer the ultras all around. The klipsch are great performers in their own right and i was saying that they would be great in an action movie experience. I dont know about other movies. I watch alot of action movies
It's not overkill it's called headroom. Plus those little subs can't play subsonic frequencies. Those people can keep buying the little 6 1/2 or 8 inch subs. I'll keep enjoying my large overkill subs...
FOR MOVIE THE 16 ULTRA BUT FOR MUSIC THE 4000 PRO WHICH I PREFER BECAUSE I SPEND MORE TIME ON MUSIC THAN WATCHING MOVIES BESIDES THE 4000 PRO STILL PRETTY GOOD FOR MOVIES AND IS ALMOST $1000 LESS ALSO YOU CAN GO WITH TWO 4000 PRO SERIES FOR AN EXTRA $1000 OR LESS AND GETS ALMOST DOBLE ON EVERYTHING COMPARED WITH THE 16 ULTRA AND THEY ARE ALSO A VERY NICE AND STRONG MATCH!
Great job as usual. I just wish that you would demo a Velodyne Sub. I think it would change your mind about SVS. Oh model DD 18. Keep up the good work.
Why no rc-64iii, I run my pb16 in extended mode, digs a little deeper but not as loud but it still loud af if that makes sense. You should do video on proper subwoofer setup and x-over with those rf-7, I used to run at 80 but since have lowered them to get more volume out the towers
Looks amazing. the thrill of the new projector still hasnt worn off. Its brighter, contrast is better and colors are more vibrant. It is a tad louder because of the fan, but i use mine in high power mode
It's not so obvious It can be that two pb4000 will give a feeling of 1 16Ultra The stage will be more balanced with 2 but the intensity of 1 ultra can be the same level
Duals. You will get a slight bump in output, but the overall sound stage will be increased. You'll rely less on your speakers for the low lows. I think you will really enjoy 2 4000s
Haha I'm someone with the "Marty box" Giving it 100w and I fear for my ceiling falling on me at 20hz and below. The only downside is the massive size. The SVS is tiny by comparison. But you'd have an easier time moving the SVS PB16U around as the MartySub is about 200+ pounds, smaller than a fridge, but close in size, so very awkward to move.
Exactly what I have been saying for a long time. One good subwoofer is all anybody need. Though Like you said it depends on the size shape of the room. Nice video, an still hopeful that I win the klipsch subwoofer.
WEAK!!!! Just kidding. We all have our limits. Yours is 2 16's mine is 2 12's and 2 18's.... OK, well I'm questioning the integrity of my house at this point. (You should feel the floor move in my upstairs theater) I need some of those isolation feet. PM me.

Question Dude... PB13Ultra or 3000 series sub... for same price....?
Doc, i really think the 3000 is the better buy.
Your beard has its own zip code Brother
In your demos, pb-4000 sealed mode and extende mode were great for me. As far as I know from my headset, he fills the room and performs hard.
Get the new pb-16 ultra auspicious. Can you repeat the same demo after putting the new device on the pb4000? Because in this demo the pb4000 performed better than the pb-16 ultrasound on the right. Probably because the position of pb4000 is better.
Anyway, I'm waiting for a new demo. :))
Great video. If you could only swing either dual pb 4000's or a single pb16-ultra, which would you choose? Thanks.
dual 4000s no question
Great video, check out Overlord if you haven't already, awesome audio!!
Mark Weber opening scene is epic
Wow and the prize of it is wowwww
Is PB4000 still available?
nope
Funny you say, "it finds flaws." my dual pb3000's have found flaws as well. Love it!
How big is the room with the PB 3000?
@@bcallfree 1500 sqft.
I would like to see some reviews on the Paradigm Prestige towers.
I asked them and they went radio silent. I'll ask again when I go to Cedia this year
I was of the impression you preferred the svs towers to the klipsch' s.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude which is better 2 PB4000 , i have one PB4000 or mix with PB16
It's not overkill it's called headroom. Plus those little subs can't play subsonic frequencies. Those people can keep buying the little 6 1/2 or 8 inch subs. I'll keep enjoying my large overkill subs...
yeah. its not easy explaining that to the masses. you are correct
👍
How do these do with midbass
pretty damn good. they handle anything you throw at it. they can do whisper quiet and heavy bass within an instant
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude I take it I didn't win that sub😜
nah fam. Im doing another giveaway next week
FOR MOVIE THE 16 ULTRA BUT FOR MUSIC THE 4000 PRO WHICH I PREFER BECAUSE I SPEND MORE TIME ON MUSIC THAN WATCHING MOVIES BESIDES THE 4000 PRO STILL PRETTY GOOD FOR MOVIES AND IS ALMOST $1000 LESS ALSO YOU CAN GO WITH TWO 4000 PRO SERIES FOR AN EXTRA $1000 OR LESS AND GETS ALMOST DOBLE ON EVERYTHING COMPARED WITH THE 16 ULTRA AND THEY ARE ALSO A VERY NICE AND STRONG MATCH!
why you yelling at me? mucho take it eassy
I AGREE WITH YOU VERY MUCH
@@CoomerGremlinDGGfan WHY IS EVERYONE SHOUTING?
Great job as usual. I just wish that you would demo a Velodyne Sub. I think it would change your mind about SVS. Oh model DD 18. Keep up the good work.
It would be funny if all of those plugs blew out. Can't ever have to much bass!
Why no rc-64iii, I run my pb16 in extended mode, digs a little deeper but not as loud but it still loud af if that makes sense. You should do video on proper subwoofer setup and x-over with those rf-7, I used to run at 80 but since have lowered them to get more volume out the towers
I ran out of money buying the rf-7s. I have owned the rc-64ii so i feel like I have a pretty good basis for comparison already.
WOH another PB16...Man you are rich.
Not true. Im selling my pb-4000. that will practically pay for the pb16
Brooo how low do they go? Specs? Bro how low does the PB16 go in reality, in real world before roll off??
it gets louder after 30hz. the roll off is somewhere near 15hz but it still goes down deeper.
Is your beard getting skinnier?? Unleash that beast man! BEARD ACTIVATE!
hahahaha. It is. I told you I lost 10 lbs. I also got the trim from my beard guy in dallas
So how are you liking the new epson projector so far
Looks amazing. the thrill of the new projector still hasnt worn off. Its brighter, contrast is better and colors are more vibrant. It is a tad louder because of the fan, but i use mine in high power mode
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude sounds great. I am like you I want the brightest pic possible I keep our 5030ub in highest mode but really want to upgrade
You will be in a different realm for sure upgrading to the 5050ub. Contact my buddies at dreamedia for a great deal. Its sales@dreamediaAV.com
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude thanks I am a subscriber to their channel as well I will def give them a try when I get ready to upgrade
im editing and running both their channels right now. cool guys. they are killing it right now
It would be cool if CerwinVega would loan you a set of XLS 215s to try out. Maybe someone that lives near you would loan them to you.
I would love it if people have contenders to loan and swap for reviews. Great idea.
If someone is Dallas has them I would love to test them
Once you get your elevation speaker setup try out the cafe explosion in Zero Dark Thirty you'll be blown away literally
Tristan Jones 13 hours to Benghazi, 3rd mortar
Hey bro, I am a Klipsch fan boy. Is there any way we can see a flagship vs flagship comparison (for Subs)? Many please and thank you's!
Matt Dlutek no comp, would need monolith or hsu/jtr
again the comparison would be unfair.
2 ultra 16 you might have to buy a new house because they going to bring the whole house down you better go get that house insurance LOL
We have home warranty so we should be fine hahahah
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude hmmm yeah you should
Denon 8500? I am running 7.1.4 with 4 Elevation speakers and a Denon 6500.
trying to :)
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude worst part of home theater upgrades, swapping out the gear especially the AVR. The elevations really do realistic Dolby Atmos
Dilemma ... 2X pb-4000 vs 1X pb16-ultra ?
2!
Agreed. 2
It's not so obvious
It can be that two pb4000 will give a feeling of 1 16Ultra
The stage will be more balanced with 2 but the intensity of 1 ultra can be the same level
Duals. You will get a slight bump in output, but the overall sound stage will be increased. You'll rely less on your speakers for the low lows. I think you will really enjoy 2 4000s
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude agreed Dual is the way to go. Dual PB Ultra 16's that is. 😁😆
The 4000 seems to have more punch.
it does.... i noticed more volume with the 16 while recording in room though. weird
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Interesting... could be just the how the recording plays on my AKG's... At any rate, Great video!
@@raffeal247 most likely it will be that...whatever you play it on would sound much different
Haha I'm someone with the "Marty box"
Giving it 100w and I fear for my ceiling falling on me at 20hz and below.
The only downside is the massive size. The SVS is tiny by comparison. But you'd have an easier time moving the SVS PB16U around as the MartySub is about 200+ pounds, smaller than a fridge, but close in size, so very awkward to move.
yeah. its akward
Pink Floyd :)
just play some yung bratz on max volume pleas
Exactly what I have been saying for a long time. One good subwoofer is all anybody need. Though Like you said it depends on the size shape of the room. Nice video, an still hopeful that I win the klipsch subwoofer.
WEAK!!!! Just kidding. We all have our limits. Yours is 2 16's mine is 2 12's and 2 18's.... OK, well I'm questioning the integrity of my house at this point. (You should feel the floor move in my upstairs theater) I need some of those isolation feet. PM me.
GrabberGT my pb16 moves my concrete slab🤔
You want a link to the isolation feet?
hahaha for sure. I have been working on another channel and its taking almost all my free time. I havent been able to enjoy the second one yet
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Yup. I need to buy some. I need 2 sets of 6. These weigh 200 lbs each.
