Just upgraded from 3 PB 1000’s to dual PB 3000’s a week ago. After dialing them in with my mini dsp all I can say is wow!!! Potent is the perfect word to describe these. The 1000’s were great but these are in a different category. Thanks for your thorough review and information on these.
I just ordered a pair of 3000's. Reviews like yours helped me make the call. I had just purchased the 2000 pro's and they were so awesome that I knew the 3000's would be what I need. The 2000's were meant to be a place holder since I couldn't afford what I wanted. Thing is they were so amazing that I realized I was closer than I thought and if I upgraded now I could have the sound I needed. First time I upgrade because something was awesome...lol. I always upgrade when something seems lacking, this time it was because something was so good, I got inspired to go higher. Great review, thanks for painting the picture of these. Can't wait til the 29th when mine arrive. I got the isolation feet too for them so that just kicked it over the top for me. Thanks again!!
I just bought dual PB 3000's a few weeks ago.... I am still playing with them, but they are awesome, really awesome. The whole space is more than uniform in bass and they kick and never sound stressed. Deep and full sound. The app tipped me over on these and if you have the budget get them. App works great and easy to dial in from your listening position. I felt like they were more expensive than some alternatives, but the have the latest Technology! Customer service and Warranty.
Hi not sure if your familiar with the polk audio psw 505 that's what I have now. Just ordered a pb3000 will there be a big difference in bass? I am planning on going duels with pb3000
Yes, if you don't notice the difference, I have no business running this channel!! It will be deeper, and more kick. Because of how room correction adjusts deep bass subwoofers, you're going to want to run more gain than room correction would suggest. You'll want to go through my Bass hack series, so you can optimize everything. Mixing subs is not optimal, and while you'll hear quite a difference between the subs, you won't be able to truly hear everything that the PB-3000 is capable of until you have two of them. I went through the same thing mixing and matching with the PB-16 Ultra. Honestly, I was relatively underwhelmed until the second one came in. When I had two of them, and no other subwoofer in the mix, it's the best bass I've ever heard. The PB-3000's/PB-4000's are nearly identical in explosiveness, which makes the PB-3000 a pretty awesome subwoofer. The only subwoofer I've heard that clearly outperforms it is the PB-16 Ultra. You can run them both together, and it will be better than a single, but it's handicapping the PB-3000. Once you get the second one, you'll see what I mean. Quite a step up.
Going deep and sounding deep is negated if you EQ flat flat right?. I also apply a house curve low shelf filter so all of mine have a gradual boost from 80Hz downward.
I just got the 3000s in a few days ago. Definitely enjoying them more and more each time I listen. Amazing punch for the money. Great review, love the channel.
I just love SVS and the level of commitment to the industry and customer. I might have to get the 3000s I have a friend wanting to buy my PC2000s in my small setup.
I'd say definitely. Prioritize dual matching subwoofers. Rather than 1 PB-3000, dual PB-2000 Pro's would be better overall. That said, dual PB-3000's are my favorite subwoofers all around. Only dual PB-16 Ultras outshine them audibly, at a cost, size, and weight premium. The difference in technology for subwoofers in recent years is substantial. Definitely a deeper sound. I'm an affiliate, so if you follow my link in the video description, I could potentially see a commission, but my recommendation would be the same regardless. Once you have them, my Bass Hack Video Series will help you get the most out of them. Particularly the crossover hack, distance hack, gain hack, and dialing in subwoofers by ear. The difference, especially after following my hack recommendations, should be nothing short undeniable and substantial.
Yes, you get a 6 dB gain or so, which adds to the headroom, but more importantly, it reduces the standing wave effect, making it so you can hear ALL of the bass. If you listen to a frequency sweep, with *any* single, as the bass goes deeper, you will hear it get louder and quieter as the frequency changes. The bass just goes in and out. Not even at all. With matching ported dual deep bass subwoofers, you hear the bass evenly, getting louder as you go deeper, as low as you can hear. Definitely a departure from the norm, most subwoofers get quieter as they go deeper, falling off pretty hard, giving you a "shallow" sound. In your situation, absolutely I would choose dual PB-3000's, over a single PB 16 Ultra. I did exactly that, I turned off the PB 16 Ultras in favor of dual PB-2000 originals. When I finally received the second PB 16 Ultra, THAT is when I finally understood how awesome they are. The PB 3000's are in the same ballpark, but easier to move around, less expensive, and the kick is insane. My first living room was 24x24, and I had gobs of headroom left. If you follow my affiliate link, I would appreciate it, and then doing all of my bass hacks to get the most out of them. Crossover hack, distance hack, adjusting subs by ear, and the SVS App Hack. You'll want your gain in the -13 to -16 range on the subs. I'm running these currently and they are epic. They will get a little more potent and louder as they break in, so you might need to turn them down by a dB or so once that happens. Let me know how it goes!
I started my audio journey with Bic America’s dual PL-300s, then upgraded to SVS’s dual PB-1000 Pro, followed by dual PB-2000 Pro, and now I’m running dual PB-3000s. Each transition brought noticeable improvements, especially in clarity and impact. With each step up in the SVS lineup, I’ve experienced cleaner, more powerful bass that can be pushed further without distortion. The SVS subs truly excel in delivering both depth and precision, especially when you move into their higher series.
❤ you are awesome bro. I got the sb16 ultra.. but I am having probably.. the same issues with it as you. I find it uncomfortable to listen to in longer periods of time, so I find myself switching it off. So the pb3000, yup. It's go time. 🥳
Room size is not really an issue, it's the standing wave effect. No matter what, with a single subwoofer, you're missing a lot of low end due to dead spots. Duals correct this, and sound better for a number of reasons. Dual PB-2000 Pro's all day, and I LOVE the PB-3000, but you can trade up to a pair of those within a year, if you go factory direct. My affiliate links in the video description are factory direct, and I can earn a commission if you follow them before purchasing, but only if you're in the USA. If you are out of the country, 1 year trade up doesn't usually apply unless specifically stated where you are buying. I would choose dual PB-2000 Pro's over a single PB-16 Ultra, which I did because I only had 1 PB-16 Ultra at first. I shut the PB-16 Ultra off and kept the dual PB-2000's until I was able to have matching PB-16 Ultras. Duals make THAT big of a difference. And mixing the 3 made it worse. Matching is important.
What level are you running on the sub? I have a single pb3000 that rattles the dishes on the other end of the room so I’m wondering how much I’d really benefit from a second pb3000.
Just got my Dual PB-3000s today. Used the upgrade from my Dual PB-2000 Pros. The 2000 Pros were nice but the 3000s sound way better. Much deeper, less chuffing due to more power being delivered. Thanks again for your measured posts. You don’t post much but I look forward to your posts because they are substantive without fluff.
In practice, are these SVS subs hard on your home's electrical circuits? I'm assuming the 16 Ultra is a different story, but the 1000 - 4000 line, can these be plugged into the wall like normal without expecting lights to flicker?
ALL of them are extremely efficient. Class D amplification is impressive. Even the PB-16 Ultra consumes less power over time than my TV. There is good capacitance, meaning the power is stored, unlike Class A amplifiers, where they consume a lot more power constantly. I've seen people install individual circuits for PB-16 Ultras, but in my opinion, it's completely unnecessary. The nature of sound is impulsive. So it's not a constant draw like an air conditioner would be. The SVS amplifiers are also like power conditioners, with the ability to run on lower voltage (weaker) circuits. I've had to build a sophisticated power system for the home theater in the motorhome, so I'm intimately familiar with the amount of power consumed. The ENTIRE theater setup, including 65" TV, Denon AVR, Fire Stick, Blu Ray player, and 2 PB-2000 Pro's, all running together consume between 200 and 450 watts in total, and when it gets close to 350 watts, things are *REALLY* rocking. It's pretty crazy how efficient they are, especially for the energy they put into the room.
@@Subwoofer101 Appreciate the detailed response, helps a lot! I came across your channel while I was researching the benefits of 2 subwoofers vs 1. Now you've also peaked my interest in the SVS product line.
SVS subs are game changers. The most important thing I can say about them is to turn them up. When your AVR has you set the level for your subwoofers, it always sets them too low. Most AVRs are flawed, in that they're just looking for the peak decibel output, but on an SVS subwoofer, that peak output is always much lower in frequency than the vast majority of subwoofers. That's where my bass hack series, and my Top 16 AVR settings really make a difference. Glad you found the channel!
The room size is less important than most people think. I've run those subs in a 24x24 living room, and in the motorhome. They did amazingly in both scenarios, so you're golden. Follow my Bass Hack Video Series, especially the Crossover Hack, the Gain Hack, Distance Hack, adjusting subwoofers by ear, and you will get more performance than you would if you went "by the book". The only thing I would recommend specifically is textiles textiles textiles. Throw rug, curtains even if you don't have windows, anything fabric to reduce the sound reflections. Concrete produces a lot of echoes and ringing. You'll want to minimize that, but that's completely independent of subwoofer recommendation, it's something you'll want to do regardless. With dual PB-3000's, configured the way I recommend, you should be REALLY happy. Make sure that you're getting full lossless audio from your Blu-ray player (Dolby Atmos Hack), then play "The Accountant", and the shootout in the driveway toward the end of the movie will show you exactly why those subs are one of my favorites. If you follow my SVS affiliate link in the video description before you order them, I'd appreciate it, but no biggie if you can't. The only subs I like better are the PB-16 Ultras, but the difference in cost, size, and definitely weight, the PB-3000 gets really close to that level of performance and explosiveness, for quite a bit less. For example, in my living room now, the PB-3000's would be my choice, but only because of the size and weight of the PB-16 Ultras. Oddly, the fireplace makes anything "large" look out of place. I could've also shoehorned the PB-16 Ultras into the motorhome like I did with the PB-4000's, but it really got in the way of the walkway. Sounded awesome, but not sustainable. The PB-3000's were epic, and they fit a LOT better. I ended up going with the PB-2000 Pro's, simply because it made sense to be on their side, and have a flat grill. It's also more attainable, and I think that's better for demos. So each sub has certain use cases, but the PB-3000's are my favorite "premium" subs, because what they deliver with the size and cost is just crazy good, and it has a lot to do with the split wound voice coil. Sorry, kind of went down the rabbit hole there... But to answer your question, yes dual PB-3000's will work out quite well in your room.
For some reason I have to turn my volume up on my speakers to make the volume on the sub go loud, I can’t find anything amp or devices that I can buy that would allow me to separate the sub and the speakers into two volume channels
Thanks, just ordered a pair of pb 3000 last night. I'm chomping at the bit now for the. To arrive. I have never personally heard any svs. I'm moving up from dual Bic America f-12s.
Hi by chance would you review Arendal 1961 and 1723? I found the on RUclips looking at the SVS PB 3000 or the Arendal 1723. Would really like to hear your thoughts on this
Pair of sb 2000s here. Plenty for me. Shakes the house enough for me. More of a music guy so like my setup. I don't even turn them up because they would overpower my other speakers. Unless I got a dedicated amp with a pre amp receiver I wouldn't waste my money on the power I won't use. I would need a bigger room to justify spending more. 9.2 atmos. 2 subs, 2 towers, center, 4 elevation speakers and 2 bipolar speakers. Full svs speakers. Into it 4500 in speakers. Plenty for me.
I have one PC13-Ultra but cant afford to get another one due to space constraints. Will having 2x SB2000 or SB3000 be better for me if i do 90% movies / 10% music? Our bedroom is 14sqm/150sqft. (note: I can't move subs around, very tight space).
Are dual "PC-2000 Pro" an option? Same price as dual SB-3000, but I imagine better for movies. They just released it on Tuesday. Looking really good. Has the App, new driver, and same amp tech from the PB-16 Ultras, just lower wattage. If you meant 1 vs 2, always 2. Dual SB-2000 Pro instead of a single SB-3000.
You nailed it on your observation, I just got a pair of PB-2000 pro after owning the SB3000 for several years. I know what you mean about them being "DEEP", I have heard bass notes I haven't heard in years while running sealed for last 3-4 years. Lot more impact, sound even better for music than I thought they would being ported. Much better for movies by long way. But even as good as they are, I'm returning them and ordered pair of PB-3000 for that extra headroom and impact. Your video was what finally convinced me to go with PB-3000 over PB-2000 pro.
Finally got the second pb-3000! Any advice on setting up would be greatly appreciated. The issue is that my denon receiver forces me to lower the volume on the subs almost completely down in order to use the automatic calibration. Wondering how you get around this and how much higher you crank the db’s beyond what the calibration tells you?
Yes they will, easy. Be sure to follow my bass hacks to get the most out of them. Gain hack, crossover hack, distance hack, adjusting subs by ear, SVS App Hack, etc... You could get PB-16 Ultras, and by simply not optimizing them, a pair of PB-1000 Pro's would outperform them just by being optimized. I'm running the PB-3000s now, and I have a lot of headroom left. One of my favorite subs.
About ported vs sealed . Correct me if I'm wrong. According to the graphs you have included. They sound deeper because people can hear 30-20 Hz but can not hear < 15Hz even if they go deeper. However if sub has enough power, and moves enough air you can feel 11Hz. Btw great review. :) love the bouns dog content :D
@@Subwoofer101thank you, this is really helpful. I followed your advise to put the levels all the way down on avr for the subs and tune it on the subs. Still confused on what the crossover for this subs
@SirChiefUK I disable the crossover on the subwoofer itself, and let the AVR handle everything. I'm glad you enjoy your equipment more after using my tips! Love to hear it.
I had the Dali e12f and two of them had issues with the cabinet. I lost faith in the product after rave reviews about the quality of the product and bad advice from their cs team (blown coil). I came to your page and watched your reviews, your information on duals, quality and output swung me after looking at various makes. I have a denon avr-x2500h, Q Accoustics 3090 centre, 3020 as surround, 3050 floor standers, Eltax atmos upfiring speakers and now dual svs pb1000. My room is 12x 21 with opening to stairs and dining room. My house shakes and if I open the porch door the front door flexes quite a bit. Kudos is all down to your channel and would have bought direct via your link but I'm in the UK. The quality of these subs to dig deep, clarity and listening experience is amazing. Thanks.
I dropped the ball! Dual PB-2000 Pro's, all day long for movies. The SB-3000's will do the job just fine, but you should get more relative audible bottom end out of the ported subs. And you can make the ported subs sealed. You can't make a sealed sub ported.
@@Subwoofer101 Thank you for replying! It's so hard to weigh the extra power & better driver & smaller box & metal grille of the SB vs. the PB's ported box low bass output advantage without having heard them in person. Some reviewers have compared these subs but not in PAIRS. I appreciate your recommendation!
Hello Sir need ur input a seller is selling a Pb2000 for 420 but has the LFE Connector broken but he states he still has the sub cable hook onto the LFE should i buy or just wait for a mint condition to pop up ?
I'd love to go dual subs but don't want to pay the price of (2) PB3000's. In your opinion would you recommend two PB2000's or one PB3000 cost wise in a 22' x 24' room with 6' 2" ceilings? That's what SVS recommended when I spoke to them. Thank you
I got a pb1000 10 inch 300 watt SVS about 7 months ago ... It still blows me away. The bass is so refined and tight With a PUNCH ! only half way turn up. Only 500 bucks Seems like a lot of money to me at first but the quality and sound is JL w7 car bass levels Blur vision These subs NOT for kids who do not have some restrained.... You can SHAKE your house APART!
currently am on the market for a subwoofer.., and i want to get the PB-4000 but i like the new PB-3000 too.., any recomendations? maybe dual PB-3000 instead of the PB-4000
100%, absolutely dual PB-3000's over a single PB-4000. All day long, no question. If you are down to support the channel, and it's no trouble, please follow one of my SVS links in this video description. My links are factory direct, so you would have 1 year trade up. If you wanted to upgrade, I'd go straight to the PB 16 Ultras. Going from the PB-3000 to the PB-4000 is not dramatic. The PB 16 Ultras would be a worthwhile change. The PB-3000's are that good.
Right on! Report back after you've had some time with them. Definitely watch the Bass Hack series to get the most out of them. Thanks for your support!!
Here’s a question for ya, dual sb4000s OR dual pb3000s? Only a $200 price difference, I’m leaning toward the 4000s, but I’m just not sure if they will get low like I want. Tough call. I’m mostly movies 70/30 to music. Thanks if you even see this! Lol.
Can you help me out with picking my AV receiver I want to go with Marantz 7012, with a emotiva, what do you thank, should I go sr8012, ED Mullen said i would be better to go with the 7012 only difffernce is IMAX for the 7013, but 8012 more wpc but on surrond would a 100 on the 7012 be fine tell me I am almost done with this project. Also going dolby atmost with 4 klish in the ceiling.
Dual PB-2000 Pro all day. I would choose the original dual PB-2000 over a single of either of those. Not a guess, I had dual PB-2000's and a single PB-16 Ultra. After trying for days to integrate the three, or integrate one PB-2000 with the PB-16 Ultra, and just running the PB-16 Ultra alone, I actually just shut the PB-16 Ultra off in favor of the dual PB-2000's. I'm not kidding about the importance of duels. It makes all of the difference.
Subwoofer 101 I just brought 2 from SVS myself one 2 weeks ago and the one that was deliver today from SVS; just one is crazy incredible so I have to hear now with 2 like you.
John Crenshaw Which did you get? I have 2 sb 1000’s in my 10x10 room! Svs ftw! They have awesome subs. I heard a demo Of 2 sb 16 ultra’s in a store a While back and was completly blown away. Can’t imagine how deep their proted subs must sound.
What I do like is the app and all the features. It left me only with one question : while the 2000 series uses a knob to adjust the volume where these subs kicking arse is at 2 o clock. What setting is this for the new series on the volume? Standard its minus 10db. But i had to put it on -5db on the sb3000 to come alive on movies and shake the couch. But is this to loud? After 10 min on this volume i did smell the woofer a bit (when i was close to the woofer) i didnt hear any audible distortion though during the test
I can only afford a combination of the following, tell me what you would suggest if you don't mind? I have the opportunity to buy a Single PB 3000 with maybe a year later buy the second one (I know you said in the video you'd go Dual PB2000), or Dual SB3000, Dual PB2000pro, or a Pair of used PB2000 for 900$ (2 years old) I love bass, I want it to hit low and hard! However, I also would like subs that sound good at low volumes too for night time viewing...
I been with a pb13 ultra and want to go dual but no more 13s in Aus. Do you think the pb3000 might work well as a mismatch dual. Similar size driver perhaps depth??
@@abs6764 I found another PB13 last in stock and am now dual PB13's. My room is now beautifully balanced across the seating areas. Best improvement. Since I've upgraded my system for atmos the bass is so impressive.
@@abs6764 no they're the original sledge amp. The type you have to reach behind lol. But I've got them to a set and forget status and have 2 channel and multi controlled by the processor
So picked one of these up and I am getting a lot of port noise is there a way to kind of correct this other than the plugs? Ive tried the settings and I cant find the perfect balance...
What scenes are causing port noise? Port noise usually occurs at the deepest and the loudest points. I only detected a little, pretty much inaudible unless you are right next to it, during the opening scene of "Edge of Tomorrow" which is just a torture test, and not really representative of normal content. Unless it's really bad, I don't judge too much on that scene, if every other hard hitting scene has no port noise. Interestingly, what I have thought was port noise in that scene can be heard through the main speakers. I always put my head near the port to ensure that I'm hearing it from the sub. Port noise happens when a sub is pushed to it's limits. Running duals means you can run the gain lower than you would with a single, along with a plethora of other benefits, like more impact, and being able to hear all of the bass. Also, room correction can cause a boost in the low end, artificially sending more signal under 25 hertz due to room modes, again something duals would help with. Which scene? PB-3000 gain value? AVR make and model? AVR Subwoofer level?
@@Subwoofer101 I can get you all that info when I get home. Ive watched a fee main movies and its been fine like ready player one, hacksaw ridge avengers etc. The really weird one was a Netflix series called Locke and Key. And it was during a very random scene that was like 3 seconds long. The gain on the sub was at -20 so not even that loud. I am running a Denon receiver. I have gone through all my settings on it with SVS and it sounds great most of the time. Like you said its only on really extreme cases that it chuffs like that. I just want to make sure its not going to damage it.
Also make sure that the sound itself is not a chuffing sound. Put your head near your mains and see if the sound is coming from there. It would also be great if you could tell me the episode and the time marker for that scene, so I can check it out myself.
@@Subwoofer101 ok so the show is Locke and Key episode 2. Start at 38 minute mark. PB3000 is at -20DB in the app. Audyssey is on. Reference level offset on at 0db. Levels is at 0db. Crossovers is at 60hz for front and center surround and heights at 100 Hz. All speakers set to small. Should be enough info. Let me know if you need more oh and main volume was at -45db
I checked it out, and there are other scenes that should cause chuffing long before this scene would. I cranked it up and with my head right next to the ports, I could *maybe* hear a hint of it, but generally nothing. No way I could hear it from my seat. I'm thinking that it might be a room correction issue, perhaps causing too much output at that frequency, causing the sub to be overdriven. If that particular frequency is in a dead spot where you did room correction (guaranteed to have dead spots with a single subwoofer) it could easily be overdriven trying to compensate for a lack of signal. When you are in a dead spot, you can crank the volume by 10 dB at that frequency and sometimes only get 1 dB of measurable increase. So the subwoofer is working like mad at that particular frequency, but you still can't hear it. One of the many reasons duals are so important. Takes the dead spots away to a large degree, and gives you more headroom so the subs don't have to work as hard to produce the same impact. Better explosiveness too, even at the same volume. I'm running dual PB-3000's. I found the scene to be kind of tame, but given the frequency, I could see how being overdriven could cause it. If another PB-3000 isn't in the cards, maybe try running room correction again, being sure to never go further than 2 feet from the first and most important sample. So all of your room correction samples should be within a 4 foot circle. That's my take on it. Also make sure your subwoofer is set to Standard mode, not sealed. A PB-3000 shouldn't have a problem with that scene.
how do you best go about hooking two subs up to a receiver with only one sub output? I ask because I'm looking at the emotiva PT-100 pre amp for a future setup. Potentially a 2.2 if I get bookshelves instead of towers. Obviously I could just get a Y splitter but is that really the way to go? If I do go the 2.2 direction should I look at something with two sub outs or is the splitter fine?
Splitter is totally fine. I'm using one for the SoundBase amp, works great. If you are talking about AVR's, XT32 room correction is a good option, as it is great for bass, especially in challenging rooms. Generally, that option comes with dual sub outs. But in general, there is nothing wrong with using a splitter.
@@Subwoofer101 My focus is more music than movies but this will also be the movie room. (i assume AVR means audio/video recordings) I figured it wouldn't matter much for low end it's just my ocd that demands left and right separation. Anyway, thanks for the information. (also fyi my current intention is to pair sealed svs 1000's with something from KEFs Q line(this is still a few months off I haven't even sold my current speakers yet)) thanks again
Great review, I've got a single pb13 ultra bash amp which I'm looking at replacing with the sledge amp in the 4000. I was looking at getting another pb13 with a sledge amp. Would this be better for me over dual 3000s? Thanks
I have four definitive tech Supercube reference subwoofers and they go so low you can't hear it but feel it. That's the only kind of bass or subs I'm interested in.
@@iplaygames9837 I know they are not the ultimate subs but I've never been able to bring them to their knees. Either all the lights start going dim or the neighbors come over and complain
@@iplaygames9837 www.blu-ray.com/community/gallery.php?member=Alpha+Sixx&folderid=6044 There is a pic of my 9.4 setup back in 2011. I've only upgraded since then.

My last "regular" sub was a super cube. Better than average for sure, but under 30 hertz, the subs on the list are much stronger under 30. Based on what you're telling me, you would really enjoy the deeper tone of SVS subs.
Very helpful video. If your room is very large, 4500 to 5000 cubit feet, would it make sense to get the dual PB-4000 vs the PB-3000 or is the PB-3000 still all that is needed?
Nice! Im thinking of getting a pb 2000 or pb13 ultra for my dali zensor setup but dont know which one i should get because i could get the pb 13 over the pb2000 for only 200 € more.... though question what would you choose? :)
I would factor in the idea that you are going to want 2. PB-13 Ultras will have a stronger punch, that's what I would prefer, but if it only meant you could get one, I would shoot for dual PB-2000's.
Subwoofer 101 yeah but the problem is i can only afford one and if i could i would only have space for one sub sooo.. :D either one used pb13 ultra or one pb 2000 i could just maybe make space for two pb 1000 that also would be an option but i prefer more to the pb2000 or 13 ultra because they have more power as my current sub from teufel with only 220 watts also the svs probably sound much better for sure than my current one i think anyway thanks for your answer greets from Austria:)
Trust me, duals are the way to go. Make room. Go for the PB-2000 and look for another. I prefer dual PB-2000's over a *single* PB 16 Ultra. It makes THAT big of a difference. Then watch my Gain Hack, Distance Hack, and tiny room videos. In smaller rooms, I think duals are even more important. Your room is not that small compared to my "tiny room" (the RV).
You state the reference scale on the preamp or receiver that is your main volume control . What are your speaker gain settings in your main menu and on the subs?
On the PB-3000's in the RV, the gain is around -16 or -17, and in the Denon I have the Subwoofer Level (enabled in the Audio menu) at -11.5 to -10.5 depending on mood. In the house, I might have the gain 1-2 dB higher on the subs (-15 or -16), but really not much of a difference, which is surprising given the difference in room sizes. I run the PB-4000's gain higher, about -13 on average, for the same impact. That's in the RV and the house as well. In the house, I need to run the left sub 3 dB lower since it's more in a corner than the right sub. So -14 and -11 is normal in the house. In the RV, both subs measure equal.
Also " forgot to ask in my last comment" do you run AUDYSSEY XT32 DYNAMIC VOLUME in you system ? If so how is it set up? I don't remember what vidieo you posted it on in the past.
Subwoofer 101; if you had to get rid of one either the PB 3000 or PB 4000 which one would it be. The use would be for your home. I'm on the fence about the two. My room space is 13x25 with 8ft ceiling.
I have and still use my REL Q400E sealed subwoofer. After many years of use it still packs a punch with plenty of low end thump. I know it's outdated now but I still like the sound it using the avr passover. If anyone has had simular it would be nice to know
Still breaking mine in but have to be courteous to my apartment neighbors. Tried using the bass containment but agree with you as for how much it defeats the sub. Awesome review and glad you have found your happy medium!
They don't post actual frequency response, or much of anything in the way of specs for the 700 or 500. I imagine if Bose ever creates a bass module or subwoofer that produces strong, meaningful output down to 18 hertz, they will advertise the snot out of it going that deep. As well they should, that would be impressive. To be 100% clear, Bose has definitely improved their subwoofers, or as they call them, bass modules. I think that's an accurate label. Have they improved to the point that I could comfortably recommend them? Not yet. I would like it if they did, but chances are the form factor would be too large, and not fit in with their "lifestyle" audio system parameters of being compact. And I don't hate Bose, I have a set of QC 35 headphones. Love them, use them often. Their bass modules aren't going to have the low end-depth and impact that I consider to be a basic standard, regardless of brand. If you're concerned about size, the Micro 3000 would deliver much more depth, close to being bottomless, trailing off between 20 and 23 hertz depending on room size. Not bad for that small of a subwoofer. But if you have the room, dual PB-1000 Pros would be uncompromising. Audibly bottomless, very well composed, powerful, and quite satisfying. Anyone who doubts the value of deep bass hasn't heard it done properly. That's been my experience. If you want to see what your subwoofer is capable of, there are several subwoofer test videos on RUclips that display the frequency being played, in a downward sweep. You'll be able to hear where the bass is strongest, my guess would be around 50 hertz, while any subwoofer I recommend will consistently get a little louder as it goes deeper. Chances are, you'll hear strong bass to about 40 hertz or so, and then it will begin to taper off between 30 and 45 hertz, getting weaker as it goes deeper. You might be able to hear some output all the way down to 20, I'm not sure. But if 20 hertz is noticeably weaker than 50 hertz, I don't consider it a good subwoofer. Deep bass isn't hard to hear, it's just not typically reproduced well by most subwoofers.
@@Subwoofer101 when I was younger I used to DJ and used 2 professional Bose subwoofers that had 2 12” woofers in each sub. These were not for home use and we’re extremely big and they were also not powered amplifier run them, which I used a Crown Macrotech 2400. These subwoofers sounded amazing and very clean compared to any of competition at that time, this was over 20 years ago now. We used to DJ large venues with 100-500 people, very large rooms. Miss those days.
Maybe if you use it with your own signal processing, it might go deep enough for my taste. Most of their professional stuff, from what I've seen, has a pretty defined response of 40 hertz. I don't expect much relative output under 30 hertz, which is how I categorize whether a subwoofer is decent or not. I'm sure they could go very loud, but even most professional movie theaters don't have much to speak of under 40 hertz. I don't doubt that it sounded good, but I know I would have to make some pretty significant adjustments to get it to the sound the way I would want, if doing so didn't overdrive them. In general, I'm not very happy with most concert audio. So it's not just Bose in this case. I think there's a lot of missed opportunities when it comes to professional sound. That's what I'm hearing anyway. And the specifications of most professional audio subwoofers support that theory. I bet being a DJ was a lot of fun!
Do you recommend to set speaker at small or large I keep finding my self going back and forth I have huge towers and center but I usually keep at small?
I have been wanting to upgrade my PB-2000 for some time now, and had been waiting (and frankly holding out) for the PB-3000 to come out to exercise my upgrade option. Since I still feel that the pricing missed the mark, I opted to sell instead, and went with the HSU VTF-15H MK2. I really enjoy your channel, and would love to see you able to get some affiliations or review deals set up with other brands, as I feel it's mostly become an SVS channel now (understandable from a cost standpoint). It'd really be great if you were able to check out, review, measure, and compare some models from HSU, PSA, RSL, or Rythmik in addition to the SVS line. I love the SVS products, and the sound, build quality, and customer service are all top notch, but I feel it now comes with too high of a premium (or in this case, retail location markup)... and I just couldn't bring myself to overpay (just my opinion) out of a sense of brand loyalty. It's good to know that brand loyalists will still be getting an awesome product though. Keep up the good content! P.S. that RV is AWESOME!!! lol
@@flashhog01 my VTF-15H MK2 is in a totally different league than my PB-2000 was. The output is higher at every frequency and it plays lower. It's a huge box though for sure lol. The CEA 2010 output numbers are actually closer to the PB-4000 than they are the PB-2000. I am very glad that I made the swap.
I actually did the same thing nearly I had dual pb12-nsd that I got on black Friday 2 years ago and have had sb12-nsd and a pb1000 they were great subs and 2 of them for 1000 was a incredible deal but I wanted more and was going to get the pb3000 but I felt the price missed the mark yhat being said I love svs and the company and the customer service is the best I've ever dealt with . I also got the hsu-vtf 15h mk2 and the output was substantial its has more clean output and goes lower than my duals I have had it for a little over a week but my obsessive what if attitude made me also pull the trigger on the pb3000 to see the difference before I get a second hsu the svs should be hear in a little over a week
@@dayonerecoverdub3626 I hope it is at least as good as the HSU given how much more it costs! Definitely comment back with your findings, I'm curious how it performs. If you have access to a meter, that would be really great to see...
@@robscorner7012 I will try and do a video on them to just voice what my opinion on how they perform in my room and then see if I can figure out REW after that
I have a 11,253 CU FT great room. Im was going to get a single PB2000 for now and add a second if I can talk my wife into it. OR should I go with 2 PB1000s? that will be easier to talk her into because of size.
That's a pretty big room to fill. I would try and get a single PB-3000 and add another down the road. WAF should be the same because it's almost the same size as the PB-2000.
What is your room's measurements? LxWxH? Sounds pretty big. You might need PB-2000's, and dual PB-3000's would do the trick. That said, dual PB-1000's will probably do the trick, better than a single PB-2000, but you might strain them a bit. How big is your theater area? Are your seats 20 feet from the speakers? Do you listen super loud?
Hey there! I need a bit of assistance with my SVS PB2000. I am experiencing null in the center of the room (happens to be where i'm sitting at to get the proper 40 degrees view). I tried positioning next to the null, i tried positioning different spaces in front i even tried to lift it (on my bed) to bring it to ear level but still i experience null at the center of the room where i sit. Everywhere else be it when i stand up or move forward or backwards half a meters... even left and right i start hearing proper amount of bass. Somewhere worse somewhere on spot shaking. The phase is set to 0 degrees and it has been properly calibrated by audyssey. Without calibration it doesn't blend with the speakers and still experiencing null in the middle. Any suggestion would help! I am siting at about 1.3 meters away from the sub (because it's so huuuge and i'm 1.68 meters in front of my 55 inch display).
You just wrote an essay on the importance of dual subwoofers! Probably not what you were hoping to hear, but that's the problem. It's a physics problem, a single subwoofer causes a standing wave and dead spots. As you discovered on your own, it is everywhere in the room, no matter where you go, you will be in a dead spot at one frequency or another. As the frequency changes, the dead spots move to other parts of the room. Pretty much no such thing as a "sweet spot" with a single subwoofer. The only way to resolve it properly is a second, identical sub. You can try my Distance Hack, you might recover a little more lost bass, but the only way to really hear it all is with duals. If you do the Distance Hack with dual PB-2000's, you will hear everything, and the bass will be more even and proper.
@@Subwoofer101 is there a way to move this null or dead spot somewhere else in the room? Have you had success in fighting the standing waves and nulls with a single sub? Yeah tried the distance hack it improved a bit but not even close to how it sounds outside this null zone. The only other thing i am left with is to try the whole room with placement try to find the right spot? I do have a plan on getting a second sub but currently i'm all outa money and gotta get the rest of the surround speakers including the floor standers :(
this the best review i saw on the svs line of subs. 👍 after much debate i finally bought one should be here tomorrow. i was still second guessing my decision until this review . yes duels rule i will get another one later. 👍🍻
I have listened to the svs 3000 and I agree, very good! Today I got Arendal 1961 1s and 2 XTZ 10.17 edge and the are all great. Arendal for music. But the svs are amazing. Good time to be a bas head🙂👍🏻👊🏻🇸🇪

Jason tradinghigh I bought them on sale last year on that Amazon sale and couldn’t be happier. They aren’t the best sounding speakers I have heard, but they are the best sounding speakers in that price range, by far.
One question , i have seen your video about dsp and your pb16 . I have dual but one pb4000 and one pb13 so two different subs,is it posible to set them up with REW and dsp or i must have two pb 4000. They are similar but not this same in output.
Do you still have the pb13 and the 4000, I've got the pb13 and thinking of getting a 4000 to pair with it.. How did yours work together, I've been told by svs that the 4000 would be a good match with the 13.
@@abs6764 it was no problem . Now i have just 2 pb4000 with profesional calibration in Thx style and 7.2.4 setup from klipsch RP sweet so far no plan for upgrade
@@stasiekspasiek7250 thanks for the reply, so from your answer do you still have the 13 with the updated 4000 amp and still have the single 4000, or have you got rid of the pb13 and have dual 4000s? If you still have the 13 and a 4000 how do they sound, comparable to each other? Does your 13 have the new amp if you still have it? If I was the only person to EVER hear my system, in one seat only, I would still get dual PB-2000's over a single PB-3000, as awesome as it is. It's that much better. I would rather run dual PB-2000's over a **single** PB 16 Ultra.
Wow that’s a huge statement. Thanks for your thoughts. First, let me purchase a decent sub and go from there as I’m looking to upgrade a tiny Infinity Sub
I have 2 sb 1000’s in my 9x9x9 feet room. The response graph in my room is similar to the pb 1000 graph that you showed in the video. Under 30 Hz i get a 6 db peak and then when it hits 20 it starts to drop off. I plan on upgrading to 2 sb 2000’s. You mentioned that the sb 2000 went down to 11 Hz in your room. My question is, do you think the sb 2000 will work good in my room? The roll off slope is designed to take advantage off room gain and my room seems to have pretty good gain below 30 Hz. Do you think it will be good for movies? Could you feel the bass more on the sb 2000? I figure the pb 2000 will be overkill for my tiny space
If you are a Audiophile the SB 3000 without ur question is more spot n Accurate Bass for Music. Being sealed it is sealed it is a bit quicker , for movies for sure the ported, and btw the ported 3000 Is still verygood for music ,better then most.
The PB-3000 isn't priced right. For instance if you look at the 2000 series the SB is $700 and the PB is $800, so 14.3% more for the PB. For the 4000 series the PB is 26.7% more and for the 16 Ultra the PB is 25% more. When you do the math for the 3000 series the PB is 40% more, WOW! The PB should have been between $1,150 to $1,300.
I have a pair of MK 350 THX certified subs for the past 14 years They blew the PB-2000s away on all aspects. Something went wrong on the amp. Being that old plus MK went out of business, The new take over is not even in thin country! I bought two PB -2000 and just swap out for dual PB 3000s, Let you know what i think of them.
One issue people can have is the deep sound of the SVS subs don't put out the same relative midbass as every other sub does at the same dial position. The simple solution is to match the levels of your previous sub in the 50-80 hertz range, which should result in a lot more bottom end response, while still delivering the same midbass performance you're used to. Being really loud in the midbass and quiet in the deep bass is something I consider a flaw. SVS subs are ruler flat, which means that with room gain, they get a little louder as they go deeper. A very satisfying sound in my opinion. Basically, turn up the SVS subs a little more than you would with the previous subs. You can also use the PEQ function in the SVS app to shape the curve to your liking with the PB-3000's.
I quite enjoy your video Sir. I have a question, I am looking to upgrade my home theater subwoofer, I am currently using a Polk Audio PSW505 in a 20x18 room and the base is lackluster. I have a $1300 budget but could stretch it to $1400. So my question to you is, what would you suggest, 2 SVS pb-2000 or 1 SVS pb-3000? I have narrowed down to just those 2 options, please advise. Thank you.
You've mentioned this antipathy towards the pressurization in your TMs many times before and I've not really understood it. Does it make you nauseated or dizzy? It seems to me that subwoofing's entire point is to pressurize your TMs such that the basilar membrane endolymypatic fluid can evenly transmit resonance through the entire coil. If you don't enjoy this pressurization feel, what are you hearing? Are you listening through your skeletal structure instead? If so, you couldn't possibly be "hearing it" but rather must be "feeling it." To me ported subwoofers seem to be for "feelers" rather than "hearers." Am I wrong?
I don't mean to say that you are wrong, but I think it has to do with a concussion I had 18 years ago. Apparently, concussion can last a lifetime. One symptom of post concussion syndrome is that my system is in fight or flight the majority of the time, which increases hearing sensitivity for survival purposes. That's just my guess, but ported are far more comfortable for me.
Hi, your reviews are great & knowledgeable for others. Since you have heard the SB 3000 & PB 2000. How would you pit them against each other for music. Does the PB 2000 lag far behind the SB 3000 or is the difference marginal. For movies I am sure the PB 2000 will have the advantage since it is ported.
Eye of the beholder, but I'm a ported fan. My choice would be the ported for a number of reasons. Here is a detailed write up on my thoughts: www.subwoofer101.com/ported-vs-sealed/
From reports from others, not personal experience, SVS has a deeper "sound". Not just depth, but more well pronounced at depth. True with their ported subs, they a super deep sound to them compared to others in their segment. I'm not saying JL or Velodyne are poor subs, they are high quality builds, just not what I look for personally. The value issue is another factor. I have an unfortunate sensitivity to sealed subs, so they wouldn't be enjoyable to me regardless, no matter what brand it is. I don't review any SVS sealed subs either. It's frustrating to not be able to to listen to a sizeable segment of my channel's namesake.
Love the channel, how low with room gain in a normal room (not motor home) can dual pb-3000's go according to measurements? I'd like to get down to 13hz, do you think a dual pb-3000 setup will get me there?
Im currently running dual older Klipsch subs and i have a $1000 budget for new dual subs. After some searching and forum opinions i narrowed it down to the svs pb 1000 and the monolith thx 10. Both 10"s , both $500, and almost the same size boxes, the svs is 300w, where as the thx is 500w and has some pretty decent numbers. And from what ive been reading the monolith is "better", and a deal at $500. What do u think about the monolith thx 10? I havent see ur list yet, ill be checking it out!
I have the Monolith subs on the list, but tentatively. I want to hear them before I give the thumbs up. I'm an affiliate for both companies, so either way, if you follow my links, it helps me out. I can vouch for the PB-1000's, and the 1 year trade up can make a big difference if you want to upgrade. I can also say that I have preferred lower wattage, lower output subs because they have a deeper tone. Whether that's a factor here or not remains to be seen. I am pretty certain that I wouldn't like the THX mode on the Monolith subs, but their extended mode might have a deep enough sound to make the list.
I'm sitting here debating PB 200 vs PB 3000......you just convinced me. Now I'm anxiously awaiting the delivery of a PB 3000. Thanks
How does the one sound? I would love to go dual but price is out of my reach.
How did you like it?
Wow we’re waiting for a response
Jerry what about Bose 10” sealed subwoofers? Me like
I have the ultra sb 3000 and it is a straight monster. better defined bass than 2 ported subs I had. It is breath taking literally
I recently just made the same choice you recommended. I picked dual PB3000s over the PB16-Ultra. I agree that duals are just that important.
I absolutely love that this is your system in an RV, most can't compete with this set up at home
@@Subwoofer101 Thanks man
Going deep and sounding deep is negated if you EQ flat flat right?. I also apply a house curve low shelf filter so all of mine have a gradual boost from 80Hz downward.
I just got the 3000s in a few days ago. Definitely enjoying them more and more each time I listen. Amazing punch for the money.

I have a friend wanting to buy my PC2000s in my small setup.
No might! Do!
I have a paradigm Pw-2200. Been excellent to me for 22 years now. How better this svs can be? Worth upgrading?
Hi would 2 pb3000 have more bass than one pb16 ultra in a 24x24 sq ft room?
Can anyone answer if I should go dual pb2000 or single pb3000 in room 11x13 not sure if single will be enough
I have a single SB3000 and need more output in large space. Music80%/Movies 20%.
Should I get another SB3000 or single SB4000 or single SB16?
Dual pb3000 in a 12ft x 16ft room size all concrete w/ an 8ft ceiling what are your thoughts is it good or bad
I'm more of a sealed guy but how do you find the SB3000 for movies vs the PB?
What's your advice on dual SB-2000's vs single SB-3000? I have a 1,400 ft3 room. (12.5 x 14.5 ft) I'll be using them for music and movies. Thanks!
I guess he never wanted to answer you.
I hope to get one of these one day thanks for your review. Probably the most in depth review I have seen!
Thanks! These are special subs, they really are impressive.
if i get 2 SP 300, is it better to put them together or seperate?
Further apart is better
Thanks, just ordered a pair of pb 3000 last night. I'm chomping at the bit now for the. To arrive. I have never personally heard any svs. I'm moving up from dual Bic America f-12s.
Hi by chance would you review Arendal 1961 and 1723? I found the on RUclips looking at the SVS PB 3000 or the Arendal 1723. Would really like to hear your thoughts on this
I have no plans to buy these, but I enjoy your reviews! So far so good with the pair of lowly pb-1000's!!
Hi will 2 pb3000 fill a 5300 cubic sq ft room?
Yes they will, easy. Be sure to follow my bass hacks to get the most out of them.
Gain hack, crossover hack, distance hack, adjusting subs by ear, SVS App Hack, etc...
You could get PB-16 Ultras, and by simply not optimizing them, a pair of PB-1000 Pro's would outperform them just by being optimized.
I'm running the PB-3000s now, and I have a lot of headroom left. One of my favorite subs.
Ok will do. Thanks
Are you saying you did your PEQ and then ran room correction? Or, you ran room calibration first and THEN played and did your PEQ’s?
Room correction first, then fine-tune with PEQs.
@@Subwoofer101 thank you sir! 🙏🏻
Hi,talking about down firing and front firing subs does it concerns the driver or the port?
About ported vs sealed . Correct me if I'm wrong. According to the graphs you have included. They sound deeper because people can hear 30-20 Hz but can not hear < 15Hz even if they go deeper. However if sub has enough power, and moves enough air you can feel 11Hz.
Btw great review. :)
love the bouns dog content
:D
I have the PB 3000 and I am very pleased with its performance, best subwoofer, I have ever owned.
What crossover did you end up with your subs and what’s on your main and satellite speakers?
Mains typically around 90 hertz, even for Towers, and 120-150 for Satellite, Elevation, and any speaker with a small bass driver. Always set to Small.
Thanks.
Would these be too much for a dedicated room of 2400 cubic feet?
Its these or the PB2000 Pros?
Need advice?
Which do you think would be better for movies, two SB3000 or two PB2000 pro's?
I wish someone knew, I'm debating this choice.

I'd love to go dual subs but don't want to pay the price of (2) PB3000's. In your opinion would you recommend two PB2000's or one PB3000 cost wise in a 22' x 24' room with 6' 2" ceilings? That's what SVS recommended when I spoke to them. Thank you
2x PB2000's

How big of room is urs in ?
currently am on the market for a subwoofer.., and i want to get the PB-4000 but i like the new PB-3000 too.., any recomendations? maybe dual PB-3000 instead of the PB-4000
Subwoofer 101 awesome ! I will., i love your videos., so dual Pb-3000s it’s!
Right on! Report back after you've had some time with them. Definitely watch the Bass Hack series to get the most out of them. Thanks for your support!!
What do you think is better the pb 16 or HSU’s VTF-15H Mk2 ?! Thank you ...
Lol.
Dual PB-3000's would be my pick. No question.
I'm starting off with 1 PB3000 will I still be impressed the room is 11x12 the sub I'm replacing is a Martin Logan 700W lol
Absolutely. The difference will be undeniable.

Hello Subwoofer 101, I just upgraded from the pb-2000 to the pb-3000 and they will arrive this tuesday. Any tips on how to set up new pb-3000s?
what is the better buy PB12 vs SB3000? For movies, 20x20 room?
I would go with the dual PB12-NSD's, hands down. The SB-3000 is a great sub, but duals are always better, and you should easily have more headroom.
And almost universally, ported are best for movies.
What about dual PB2000 PRO vs single PB4000 or single 16 Ultra?
Dual PB-2000 Pro all day. I would choose the original dual PB-2000 over a single of either of those. Not a guess, I had dual PB-2000's and a single PB-16 Ultra.
After trying for days to integrate the three, or integrate one PB-2000 with the PB-16 Ultra, and just running the PB-16 Ultra alone, I actually just shut the PB-16 Ultra off in favor of the dual PB-2000's.
I'm not kidding about the importance of duels. It makes all of the difference.
@@Subwoofer101 Im thinking one ported + one sealed 2000 pro, how would this work do you think?
Subwoofer 101 I just brought 2 from SVS myself one 2 weeks ago and the one that was deliver today from SVS; just one is crazy incredible so I have to hear now with 2 like you.
John Crenshaw Which did you get? I have 2 sb 1000’s in my 10x10 room! Svs ftw! They have awesome subs. I heard a demo Of 2 sb 16 ultra’s in a store a While back and was completly blown away. Can’t imagine how deep their proted subs must sound.
I'm curious also.
What did you go for in the end. I've got a 13 ultra and looking to upgrade the amp to the new sledge that the 4000 has.
@@abs6764 I found another PB13 last in stock and am now dual PB13's. My room is now beautifully balanced across the seating areas. Best improvement. Since I've upgraded my system for atmos the bass is so impressive.
@@Gshiznit74 thanks for the quick reply.. Have they got the new sledge amps fitted with Bluetooth..?
(i assume AVR means audio/video recordings)

Sounds like it would be polite if I dont do it while she is sleeping...
Also my room isnt the biggest to say maybe 10x5 meters
Trust me, duals are the way to go. Make room. Go for the PB-2000 and look for another. I prefer dual PB-2000's over a *single* PB 16 Ultra. It makes THAT big of a difference.
Then watch my Gain Hack, Distance Hack, and tiny room videos. In smaller rooms, I think duals are even more important. Your room is not that small compared to my "tiny room" (the RV).
Subwoofer 101 ok thanks! :)
@@Subwoofer101 So you are saying that -16 to -17 is on the subs and -11.5 to 10 .5 is in the Denon?
Yep, that's my personal preference.

I just went dual PB 3000's upgraded from PB 1000 pro's. O.M.G.!!!!!!!! they are amazing!! Great Review!
Still breaking mine in but have to be courteous to my apartment neighbors. Tried using the bass containment but agree with you as for how much it defeats the sub. Awesome review and glad you have found your happy medium!
What about Bose 10” Sealed sub?
Keep em at small and leave frequency crossover at 80hz let ur sub do the heavy bass
Oh okay thanks
P.S. that RV is AWESOME!!! lol
How does the HSU VTF-15H compare to the SVS pb-2000? Glad you made the switch?
Definitely a good time to be a bass head! 30 years ago? Not so much! 😅
Yeah, i have had some really wet and boomy pieces of shit subs back in the day... Today it almost doesent matter which one you choose. Almost.
I have been following you since your pre-affiliate days and I am just going to come out and say it- The dogs, the subs, the RV...I am really jealous of your life, man.🙂
So running duals in the location that you have is ok? Doesn't look like you're abiding by the 1/4 rule and obviously not the corner rules.
Would be interested to get your opinion on Elac's . I think you'll like them 👌
Jason tradinghigh I bought them on sale last year on that Amazon sale and couldn’t be happier.
If you've gone for dual 4000s how are they compared to the 13 and 4000 comb you had before. Sorry for the questions. Thanks
@@abs6764 feel free to ask... I have dual pb4000 just to have same look. I have sold pb13 but to be honest i heard or feel no diferent between this two. Maybe if ill push them very hard... I have small cinema room 4x5m and 2xpb4000 is a lot alrede going on 30% of they max. For moment i was thinking to upgrade for pb16 x2 but , no point to use 20-30% of they max output later. Greate for movies and music.
@@stasiekspasiek7250 thanks again buddy for the quick reply. I'm really confused which way to go, do I keep the 13 and get a 4000? Or sell and get 2 x 4000. Or even keep the 13 and get 2 x pb3000? If I can find the money 2 x pb16 ultra. My room is around 3200 cu feet.. 30ft x 12ft x 8ft high.
I was wanting a sub or two to go with my stereo system. I listen to a wide variety of music, these look amazing.
Why not the SB3000? I know nothing... and trying to figure out what I want. I'm older 63, don't like to rattle the house...mid size room in oval shape. Matching with sony str az5000es, klipsch 8000ii, mostly home theater...like clean sounds...have hard time with understanding voices in movies, and music.
Would 1 pb3000 be sufficient with Ultra Towers? There is only 1 MLP
Being sealed it is sealed it is a bit quicker , for movies for sure the ported, and btw the ported 3000
Is still verygood for music ,better then most.
you mean better THAN most
AN audiophile..
Better THAN*
First grade english..
Lol, yep, sorta. Unknown variables.
Hi, I have a bedroom size of 4mtrs by 4 mtrs. Would you go with the pb2000 or the pb3000? I have klipsch setup
I would love to hear your opinion on how the PB-3000 fares against it's competitors, mainly the Outlaw Ultra 13 and HSU VTF3- MK5 and VTF-15H MK2.
Thank you.
He literally answered this exact question in the video if you watch it.
What do u think the best settings are for PB-3000 Lfe mode or 80hz?
Not sure I follow, in which menu?
It's in the app under low filter
Haven't u played with the settings on the app?
You there u play with subwoofers all the time and u dont know where the low pass filter is?
I'm asking if the LFE mode on or off ????
Hi, what av receiver are you currently using? I'd like to pick up the one you have as I trust you know your stuff! Thanks
is it worth that extra $800 (~42% more!) too go with dual pb3000s vs dual sb3000s?
Eye of the beholder, but I'm a ported fan. My choice would be the ported for a number of reasons. Here is a detailed write up on my thoughts: www.subwoofer101.com/ported-vs-sealed/
mmm what about JL-E112 or Velodyne DD15" year the cost alot more but ?? --vs svs!!??
I also had a pressure thing when i got my sb-1000’s. Went away after a week or two.
