I’ve been running dual pb1000’s for a little over a year and love them. For anyone looking to get into svs subs, the new 1000 pros are the way to go. Saying that, I will stay with my OG 1000’s and the next upgrade will be 2k pros or 3k series....wife dependent.
Fortunately, the PB-3000 is only an inch bigger than the PB-2000 Pro in every dimension. I could definitely see it being harder to get approval for a PB-4000 or PB-16 Ultra. Those are both expensive, heavy, and huge. 😂 Killer bass though!!
The PB-1000 Pros ar eso expensive 😞 €949,- compared to the PB-1000 €549,- I would love the Pro but I think they're to expensive for me... 2 cost me €800 more...
Glad they gave you a copy since you were the first person that turned me on to SVS subs and duals. I gave my son my dual PB-1000’s. Now the 3 lower SVS subs look alike and are controlled by the app. This is a nice upgrade and make SVS even harder to beat!
I love the app. It's not gimmicky like some product apps can be. LG has an app for their air conditioner. Used it 5 times or less. Just easier to use the panel or the remote. The SVS app gets used about 1-2 times per week, more if I'm setting up. It's incredibly useful. I bet your son wasn't mad about getting the PB-1000's. 😄

Finally, some tips on setting the parametric EQ. I always had them turned off because I didn't know how they should be set. Thank you so much for the advice. I'm sure my dual pb-3000s will sound even better now. If that's possible.
@@Subwoofer101 Yes sir .. The settings you recommended for the parametric EQ made a nice difference for the Accountant. My sofa rumbled throughout most of the movie. And the suppressed gunfire? You were absolutely right. The subs even bottomed out briefly during Bladerunner 2049 so I lowered the volume a notch. That surprised me a little bit. Otherwise, these subs are really hard to beat performance wise. I've thought about upgrading to the PB-16 ULTRAS in the future but I can't imagine how much better performance I would get out of them. I bought two PB-1000 Pro subs for my first living room home theater , it is a 7.2.4 system, denon 3700h, Klipsch speakers and two PB-1000 Pro SVS subs, and we love them!! I cant see any reason to go more powerful. Price wise this was as much as I was willing to spend, knowing the Klipsch subs are 250.00 and 150 at times, for the 12" Klipsch, it took a lot to commit to 599 X 2 for these BUT Im very happy with them they truly are the heartbeat of my system, movies are awesome when you have dual subs that work well. To spend 300 more and get the PB-2000 Pro doesnt make any sense to me, I cant imagine anyway to improve from these, there is nothing lacking.
Within the SVS Ported line, the more power equates to more impact in your chest at the same volume. That said, the PB-1000 Pros could keep me happy for life.

These new low cost SVS subwoofers are big game changers. After these there are only 3 real options, very low end cheap subwoofers in the 150-300 range, the new SVS SB-1000s at $500-600 each, or much higher end big subwoofers at over $2000 (and to be honest, unless you are going that high end or just wanting "good looking" subs that match your speakers, there is no point going anything between these and anything less then about $2000 when getting new subs). I have personally never used subwoofers in a home theater configuration, so I don't know exactly what they do most of the time but I'd defiantly consider getting these. Great review.
Got mine on Monday and made your EQ changes and wow!!. Upgraded from a KlipschR120SW and i'm in a whole new era. I am really happy I bought this. Plays music very well can't wait to get the plugs to see how differently it performs. I live in an apt and i can play by bass louder cause it's deeper. Much easier to play loud deep bass than loud boomy bass. I love it!!! So happy to be on board SVS. Watched Godzilla and feeling the bass as opposed to hearing it is a fantastic experience.
You had the Klipsch R-12SW? I just got 2 for $150ea...there great for the price, but there too boomy for me..so i was gonna return em and get these..so these are much cleaner sounding then?

Not sure of there's a difference in audio quality...but now I got the SVS 😁😁 yes the PB1000pro although more expensive gives a higher quality bass. Much deeper. A lot more clarity in movies.. no more boomy bass.. Make sure you go duals. When I save up more I'll get another.
@@denziiey Yeah i think those are the upgraded ones...i saw a vid and the guy said both Klipsch sounded the same..yeah i got Duals of these..and will prob get duals of the PB1000 Pro... I got a better sub...but these are gonna be hooked up the the Klipsch Cinema 600 sound bar..lol..so they should be perfect..id prob keep the Klipsch..as for $300 for both there hard to beat..but there a bit to boomy for me..Thanks for responding..
@@ThatCrazyRCGuy67 np..also to help with the boominess I bought the SVS sound isolation feet. It helped a lot...they cost 50 bucks though and you have to subs but you only have to buy them once and when you buy the svs you'll already have the feet. They make a difference. Also remember your klipsch subs have to break in..watch subwoofer 101 video on gain hack...you'll get better performance. But again these are shallow bass subs.
This guy is smart but I wish he understood that a lot of us have sealed subwoofers. Would be nice to get good videos on them. Know you don’t like them tho.
It's a very unfortunate sensitivity, likely due to a concussion 20 years ago. Post Concussion Syndrome can last a lifetime, and it probably will for me. Causes light and sound sensitivity, among other issues. That said, typically SVS sealed subs GO deeper, while ported subs SOUND deeper. More relative output under 40 hertz. I know a lot of people prefer sealed, and I'm not happy about the sensitivity. But I know I'm not the only person who experiences the discomfort. That said, I plan to revisit the issue. There's a small chance that I can tinker with settings and make them tolerable. I'm cautiously optimistic.
No problem! If you go factory direct, you can still upgrade within a year, if you get the upgrade bug. The PB-2000 Pro's are worth the upgrade, but dual PB-1000 Pro's are fantastic, especially at that price. This makes me so happy. More people can now afford deep, truly bottomless bass. @@Subwoofer101 My exact situation! I was 3 sec. away from pulling the trigger on the 2000 Pros before this update. Still thinking I may just want to get those and just be done (since you say they are worth the upgrade - especially for movies?) ... 2000s are a stretch cost wise for me but I know I am not going to upgrade later if I get the 1000s. I only have one bullet..lol. Thoughts?
The PB-2000 Pro is outstanding. When you get that second one in, you're going to really hear what those subs are all about. I went through the same thing with the PB-16 Ultra. I had two PB-2000 originals, but I only got a single PB-16 Ultra because of supply issues. They kept selling out. I had to wait 4 months or so for the second PB-16 Ultra. I tried mixing the PB-16 Ultra with the PB-2000s. Fail. Big fail. I actually turned off the PB-16 Ultra, in favor of the dual PB-2000 originals. Crazy but true. I also tried mixing the PB-16 Ultra with the VTF 15, and it was better since they were similar in driver size and box size, but I was still a little underwhelmed. When I finally got the second one in, holy moly, it was an entirely different experience! It's that experience that makes me not want to ever mix subwoofers again. You're combining sound waves for constructive interference. As best I can tell, any difference in the source of the sound waves seems to degrade the experience. Oddly, whenever I mixed a higher power sub with a lower powered sub, the overall effect seemed to favor the lower powered sub. The VTF 15 I have is 350 watts RMS. The PB-16 Ultra is 1,500. That's quite a difference. When I finally had both PB16 Ultras, I went from being kind of underwhelmed to really understanding what those subs are all about. To me, it was night and day. I held off doing the review until I had both, because I was so underwhelmed, and I wanted to make sure once I had both. I'm glad I waited. I went from not understanding what the fuss was about, to having the best bass I've ever heard. That's why I harp on matched duals so much. Thanks for watching!
I'm a 2 channel guy and record/mix music. Setup is older Yamaha HS8s' and an sb2000 upgrading to a sb3000. Bass is very important to an overall balanced mix. Great reviewer, subbed. Pun in there somewhere..
Always enjoy a good pun! Are you going dual? Highly recommend it, even if it means two PB-2000 Pro's. I imagine you're inclined to run sealed. You can do both with the PB-2000 Pro's and the PB-3000's. Not going to push ported on you too hard, but duals? VITAL. ESPECIALLY for music. Also, run the subs so high that they're obviously overdone, then bring it back down until they aren't. Because of the response curve of these subs, you can run them higher than most other subwoofers. Most people can usually run a little more gain than they do with SVS subs. Really warms up the music, and you can enjoy lower listening levels, with a nice rich sound. I'd also try varying the phase in 10 degree increments for both subs, to narrow in on the right sound. Unless your preamp / AVR has distance adjustment. Then just use distance setting for the subwoofer, adding a foot at a time. That's better than using phase, because you're actually delaying your main speakers a little bit, allowing the bass to populate the room "before" the mains. Since bass has a slower decay, it sounds perfect. It separates the phase just enough to where you don't get your main speakers interfering with your subwoofers. That's the gist of my distance hack. If you let room correction set everything up, and just leave the distance as it is, it might be correct by the book, but it's suppressing some of the bass, and it's a measurable phenomenon. Using phase instead delays the bass. Not as good, but better than not. You just don't want the exact same timing. If room correction sets the subwoofer to 12 ft, I'll change that to 16 ft. Also, this may all be for not, but if you are using an AVR with room correction, you'll notice the distance setting for the subwoofer is greater than it's measured. That's because the DSP processing has a slight delay. So a subwoofer that's 10 ft away might register as 12.5 ft. And yes I still add 4 ft, so 16.5. Anyway, glad to have a two-channel guy subscribed! Let me know how it goes, I don't dabble in two channel too much, but I understand the sound that's being sought. I appreciate the subscription!!
Hello, i have a SB2000 in a 5.1.2 setup but im not totally satisfied by it and i think i should have bought a ported one. Do you think i will make an upgrade or a downgrade if i exchange the SB2000 for a PB1000 Pro model? Will i loose something?
I steer clear from sealed subs, as they tend to create an uncomfortable pressure sensation to me. Likely due to TBI/Post Concussion Syndrome. That said, the SB-2000 is a great sealed sub. I would choose dual ported PB-1000's over dual sealed SB-2000's. Sounds deeper, even if the sealed "go" deeper. It's all about relativity. The PB-1000's will get louder as they go deeper. Ported subs are also more efficient, so I don't think you will loose usable output. For me, any perceived advantages of a sealed subs are overshadowed.
Price is going up $200 on 10/4. I just got mine yesterday. I got the SB 1000 pro first, and it really wasn't enough- weak unless in a corner. The PB 1000 Pro is way better and the placement seems to matter much less. Wish I could keep both, but I can't justify the cost.
There's more relative output under 40 hertz in ported SVS subs. That makes a difference. Sealed subs are also less efficient. Takes more power to get the same output as a ported sub.
Funny thing, the center channel has typically been at 90. But, the center channel gets a lot of bass typically, so I've raised the crossover to 110. Little more kick, not much lost.
Thoughts on switching from an Outlaw lmf-1 ex to the PB-1000 pro? My living room is 12x9 but opens to the dining room and kitchen. My specs are about the same to me but unsure about switching from a downfiring to a front firing. I’ve had my sub for 7-8 years now.

Yes. You'll be able to control one sub at a time, but you could have 6 SVS subs with the app and be able to control them all. All you have to do is select which sub you want. I rename them each myself, that way I know what I'm dealing with. For example the left sub is PB1L, and the right sub is PB1R. You can name them anything you want, like Bill or George. Completely up to you. If I'm using the PEQ, I'll set the value, then select the other sub, and it stays on the PEQ menu. Might not seem super special, but if it defaulted to the home screen every time you changed subwoofers, it could be tedious. It's pretty well thought out.
So here's a curveball for you. If you went with dual PB-1000 Pro's, you'd have certain advantages that I'd imagine would be very helpful. First off there's ported mode, which sounds the deepest. Then there's sealed mode. Then you can use the PEQs to shape the response curve to match basic, shallow subwoofers. So, what that means to you is that you could hear what your music will sound like ported, sealed, and on every other subwoofer on the planet by changing the response curve. I think it's a brilliant solution for anybody who works in a studio and wants to hear different types of bass with their music. You could basically have three presets, one for deep bass ported, one for deep bass sealed, and one for ported shallow bass, where it rolls off under 40-50 hz like every other driver in a box out there. That's my two cents anyway!
Frankly, I'd go with the Pro. The original PB-2000 is awesome, but the added control of the app is underappreciated. My preference in order: PB-2000 Pro PB-1000 Pro PB-2000 original PB-1000 original Of course, matching duals is ideal.

I know the Anthem has dual sub outs while the Nad has a single. However I was leaning towards the Nad but I am not sure how to run dual subs off of a single line.
Hi there. I hope you can guide me a bit with this question... I decided to try a PB-1000 pro and it's awesome! I like it a lot-my listening area is about 2,600 cubic feet and I sit 10 feet away from my TV and Denon AVR-4400...but I confess I like the cylinder type subs so much (the look etc) that I've decided to get a second sub-this time a PC-2000 pro and I want to run a dual set up-even if these two SVS subs are NOT the same model and even if many experts will tell me that that is a big NO NO...I will do this! My question is would it be better to place the PC2000 pro at the front and the PB-1000 pro in near field next to my couch but not firing into my couch but rather back to the room? or would it be better to keep the PB1000 pro at the front and place the PC2000 pro near field next to my couch? Or will I just simply "go to audio hell" for trying to set up a dual sub system with these two subs? LOL...thanks for your help..
I have played with the thought of selling my PB 4000 and get 2 PB 1000 pro but I think they will disappoint me because of what I'm used too now. What do you think.or recommend. Thanks for the video's
Honestly, I'd shoot for dual PB-2000 Pro's because they will still have a premium kick. But I'd run dual PB-1000 Pro's over a single PB-4000 any day, as awesome as the PB-4000 is. What about another PB-4000? Find one in the outlet or something? That's the best way to go, in terms of performance.

Any time you're choosing between similar caliber subs, like deep bass subs, smaller duals are better than a single. The app, and the ability to shape the response curve from your chair is REALLY nice. So long as they are truly deep bass subs, I would always split your budget for duals. So in this scenario, dual PB-1000 Pro's all day long.

Duals would be proper. From the PB-1000 and up, it's mostly increased explosiveness and realism. Dual PB-2000 Pro's are the subs I chose for the RV. Goldilocks sub; explosiveness, size, and price are great. Perfect for demonstrating the sound I'm always talking about.
I think you'll notice a difference. Be sure to watch my Adjusting subs by ear video. You can run more gain than usual. Then you will really notice the difference. 😳😄

Thanks! Yeah I agree with SVS on dual PB-3000's over quad PB-1000 Pro's, as good as they are. 2 vs 4 of the same subs doesn't increase explosiveness. Little more even coverage, but it can also be more complicated. Definitely more TNT packed in the PB-3000's. Only the PB-16 Ultras are undeniably more explosive. The PB-4000's are just a little more explosive, but not enough to be blown away by going from the PB-3000's to the PB-4000's. PB-3000's are less expensive, lighter, smaller, with no noticeable loss of impact. Just doesn't have a front display or piano finish. The PB-3000's are a SOLID choice.
@@Subwoofer101 yeah I was going to stack them to make up for the loss of amp power (+6db gain) which evens out their power, pretty close, but yeah it wont give me that increase in explosiveness, I guess it's a matter of having the power headroom available at an instant for fast transience more than it's about power for max spl. I love the idea of PB 16's...but I can't really deal with a 175 pound subwoofer(s), I'm not getting any younger, and its going in a basement, least for now. Also at this stage in my life, money isn't no object, I need to optimize my expenses and get the most bang for buck before I hit significant diminishing returns. Several people have said the 3000's are the ultimate sweet spot, so that's where I am heading. Only question is do i get the pb 1000's now with my prime elevations, and upgrade later after enjoying them for a bit. or just wait and "suffer" with my single Cambridge P1000 (dual opposing 10's) I have real concerns about it being able to keep up with a 7.1.4 Atmos system in a 22x24 foot room, and after spending like $8000 on a new Epson 6050, screen new Marantz 7706 pre pro and mm7055 amp (re-using my old SR9300 amps for the other 6 channels), the last thing I want to do is sit down and watch a movie, and go...oh, where's the low end?
Do you think the PB-2000 Pro's would give me that hit to the chest if dual 1000 Pro's are not delivering that sensation? The 1000 Pro's can rattle my seats quite well, but I am not getting that pressurized sensation to the front of my body. I set the volume to -10 db and room corrected with my receiver, as the instructions stated, but I have not tried any gain hacks or additional optimizations. My room is 2800 cubic feet, by the way.
I wouldn't do it. Some people will say it sounds just fine, but I found that the greater the disparity between the two subs, the more problems you run into. What you're after is constructive interference. If you run a 10-in sub with a 16-in sub, the two waves will not have the same "shape", and the constructive interference will not be quite as clean. The closer they are together the better, but in my experience you get the best results when they are the exact same subwoofer.
I emailed SVS and was shocked at their reply, I was concerned about being left behind as I hadn't planned or budgeted for upgrading until next year, I asked how the 2 would pair and they said phase response and output are different but it might work give it a try? That didn't really inspire confidence that they haven't tested this setup...also no mention of any promotion of any kind for current owners of pb1000 trying to move over to the pro
I will definitely try out the pEQ setting and see how it sounds....since I'm running large front speakers, I probably won't need the boost at 4db, but it's a good starting point
What do you think of using one of the PB1000 pro subs with an older PB1000 that I already have till I can get a second? Or should I just get the new PB1000 pro and use it alone and take out the older PB1000?
So if you mix subwoofers, it would be better than a single, but dual PB-1000 Pro's would sound best. I've tried mixing subs on several occasions, and it's just not as good as having identical subwoofers. I don't know how old your PB-1000 is, but regardless you can get in touch with SVS and see if they would give you credit towards duals. It's worth asking anyway. "No" is the worst possible answer.
@@delanogarner2483 actually what I ended up doing is going up one bigger to the PB-2000 Pro and I'm running it with the PB-1000. It's fantastic, sounds awesome.
I would say so. Definitely more versatile and more precise control. I *think* these are more explosive, but if you want to ensure a noticeable change in explosiveness, the PB-2000 Pro's would be undeniably more explosive. Regardless, I would prioritize duals first. So if you have a single PB12-NSD, dual PB-1000 Pro's would easily be better, if that's more attainable for you.
@@Subwoofer101 indeed no longer available. Did a search on 3 in 1 stands but didn't find it for the European region. Looks like the style is easy to find in the US and UK but sadly enough not in Europe. Would have been the perfect style for a UST projector with below it the center speaker and the hifi components.
If you had to go with a white sub under $2k what would you get? I see sealed 1000 is what SVS offers. They ran a limited edition 2000 but that's long gone. What sub would you compare to the sealed 1000 pro?

I'm coming from a Paradigm PS 1000 which love but unfortunately is currently clicking and popping after 31 years of usage. I hope will be a cone surround refurbishment which they suffer from, but if it's anything else then the SVS PB-1000 Pro will be my replacement. Unfortunately for me, I have an allocated size which I'm limited to due to furniture and room space space etc. Thanks for the review. 👍👍
If you could recommend any svs sub (s) for home theatre in a small 13×15' room what would you suggest? Currently have a single PB1000 Pro in a 7.1.4 system. Size/space is a bigger issue than money so not sure what would be best recommendation for the space (no demos in my area unfortunately). Single PB4000, dual 1000 pro's etc? any advice is appreciated!
Room size is not nearly as big of an issue as you might think. Within the SVS line, the more power, the more realism. Whatever you can afford, I would just make sure that you run dual identical subwoofers. I've run the PB-4000s In the motorhome, and they sounded amazing. What I would personally do, depending on budget, is go in these steps, getting whatever I could fit into my budget. Dual PB-1000 Pros, PB-2000 Pros, PB-3000s, or PB-16 Ultras. I would skip the PB-4000's, unless you really want piano gloss, and you can't afford PB-16 Ultras. The reason for that is that the PB-3000's are incredibly close in performance to the PB-4000's. I would not recommend that someone upgrade from the PB-3000 to the PB-4000, because I don't think you would be able to hear where the extra money went. If you went from the PB-3000 to the PB-16 Ultra, you'd be able to hear, or more to the point, feel where the money went. The most important thing in my opinion is that you have matched identical subs. Then follow my bass hack series, particularly the distance hack, crossover hack, things like that. I guess the thing to stress is that having a small room does not limit you on having amazing bass. A lot of people will say that something like dual PB-16 Ultras would overpower your room. Only if you can't control the volume dial. The only difference from the PB-1000 to the PB-16 Ultra was realism and impact. The bass was much more potent and visceral. I experienced no issues going from the smallest sub to the largest sub, aside from size and weight. There was no audible issue at all. Meaning the most powerful SVS subwoofer was no more difficult to integrate than the least powerful. So the good news is, get whatever you want. And don't listen to people who will tell you that it will overpower your room, or that it's overkill. That hasn't been my experience at all.

Great video. I'm having a hard time deciding which sub to get. I ordered a sb 1000 pro and am completely underwhelmed and I am exchanging it for either the pb 1000 pro or the pb 2000 pro. I live in a duplex and have a shared wall so I can't crank it all the time. I think the 1000 pro will work for me but I would hate to make the same mistake again by buying the wrong sub. My room is fairly big and if I didn't have to worry about being too loud I would get the 2000 pro without a thought. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
In my experience, when you mix subs, the overall bass presentation favors the less powerful subwoofer. It's weird, but that's been my experience. If I HAD to, I would think that the PB-2000 Pro would be a better choice, but your still combining slightly different bass waves, so it's not as "perfect" as dual PB-2000 Pro's would be. To be sure, If you did it with the PB-1000 Pro, it would sound better than a single. Just not as good as if it were matched subs.
I have an SVS PB12-NSD and am currently setting a second set of speakers in the garage for my man cave setup. I need to get a sub and was thinking about getting the pb-1000 pro. Do you believe this is a better sub that my current sub? I ask because if it's the better sub I'll install it in my home theater and move the PB12-NSD to the garage.

Hello friend. Dual PB-2000 Pro or dual SB-3000? Which would be more powerful? Another question would be, there is a big difference between two pb-1000 pro vs two pb-2000 pro in a small dedicated cinema room with perfect acoustic design.
I got a singular svs pb-1000, Been planning on getting another one really soon and i stumbled across the pro. Is there any downside to the subs not matching aka having a pb-1000 and pb-1000 pro in one room?
I have a question, I have a NSD SB12 - is it possible it match this with a PB12 (dual subs - SB and PB together) and still have decent in room response but gain some of that lower extension? Thank for the great video
Would a jump from 1000s to the pro 1000s be recommended? Minus the clear benefits of just the app,performance wise would there be a noticeable difference in output?

Sorry, I must not have hit send. The difference will be like going from the PB-1000 to the PB-2000 original models. I think it's definitely worth the upgrade. You'll notice more than just the app. The performance difference is measurable.
@@Subwoofer101 After a 2 days and finally some solid listening time through some demo material. 1. The ease of use of the app IS worth the upgrade alone. Not having to bend over or squeeze behind all the speakers is fantastic. 2. The performance is definitely a step up from the originals. The pros have more punch or as like to say, they are a more violent subwoofer with impacts and gunshots. 3. They dig deeper for sure and seem to do it with less effort. I will certainly be keeping these and sending the originals back. To recap...you were spot on.
Well, honestly I would stretch for dual PB-2000 Pro's, otherwise the dual PB-1000 Pro's. Anything to do with theater, ported usually dominates. You can run both Pro models in sealed mode too.
@@Subwoofer101 How musical are the PB 1000 Pros, paired to B&W 600/700 series or similar. Would closing the ports make it less boomy and quicker. Question is do they keep up with the L/R speakers without sounding too out of place and shifting attention to themselves.
Ok, glad I came across your review of the pb 1000 pros, as I was looking forward to it from an svs affiliate. Was having thoughts on the HSU vtf2 mk5 . Which would you recommend between these two for mostly for movies
I think the hsu is better based on what I’ve searched but then again they’re out of stock on back order. Also where SVS gets you is having the ability to adjust right from your seat on your phone. I was able to order a pb-1000 pro yesterday the same day after their announcement while again the hsu is not in stock. I currently bought the original pb-1000 and it rocks for movies. With two you’ll be good to go
I got a single pb2000 pro but can not seem to get the bass right in my apartment. I tried in different locations in my room. In the right front corner it sounds to boomy, on the left front not enough bass etc... Is there something like too big of a subwoofer for a room?. Am afraid to go double pb2000 pro. Instead should I go double pb1000 pro's? (BTW am into movies)
Love my new dual PB1000s in my bedroom. I have separate systems for music and movies in our main living room and am doing research and saving $ to upgrade everything. I really want to upgrade to PB 3000s or above but want to be able to use them for both systems. Problem is my music system has no sub out etc so I need subs with speaker level ins. At some point I want to replace my old receiver that I use for music to separates which would alleviate the connection issue. I would like to be able to use it in the meantime as I save $ with dual subs. It only has speaker outs and one out for a tape deck I assume anyway. I mostly listen to music but really want to get the absolute most clean, deep bass that I can possibly afford. One day I think I will just go with the bigger more expensive models and just not use them with my music system and other days I am more impatient and think I will just go with the PB1000 Pros for the speaker connections. The trade up thing is great but doubt that I will have saved enough $ within a year to upgrade to separates at the level that I want to anyway plus I need to upgrade speakers.. The struggle is real! Really appreciate your channel and insights.
fantastic review! My fantastic SVS PC-12 NSD died and I was thinking of getting a PC2000 Pro but now that the PB1000 pro is out I'm thinking that maybe I don't need the PC2000 pro. I like the cylinder look but I don't think it will give me more-I don't listen at reference levels! but I would love some good bass below 25HZ...I will listen responsibly and safely! How does the PB 1000Pro compare against the PB2000 pro? I see some frequency responses graphics but is there a direct comparison between the PB1000 pro and the PB 2000Pro (the PC 2000pro is the same as the PB but in a cylinder shape)...thanks so much for the video
The biggest difference between the PB-1000 Pro and the PB-2000 Pro is simply explosiveness, size, and price. It's noticeable, and my own preference would be the PB-2000 Pro's. Both will put a nice grin on your face, especially if you use that little tip at the end of the video. In The Accountant, you'll notice the stronger kick from the 2000 Pro. Just a bit more realism, explosiveness, and headroom. That said, all of the subs on my list are subs I could live with for the rest of my life. The PB-1000 Pro definitely qualifies!!
@@Subwoofer101 right...well...my old PC 12NSD was good but the PB1000 pro and the PB2000Pro must be absolutely beasts! I have a modest 5.1.4 set up with a denon AVR X4400H and I can't play my system very loud...just a bit loud but I want to feel some of those hits during the movies (I'll be careful with the opening of Edge of Tomorrow or War of the Worlds!)- I still want to get the PC2000 Pro (I'm in Canada and my local distributor hasn't got any shipments yet...)-I like the shape of it and I think it will "hit" those notes during movies really well...The PB2000 Pro is too big for my setup...one final question...if I finally get the PC2000 pro and down the road I can afford a second subwoofer-not for more power but for better response or near field positioning...could I use a SB1000 or a SB1000Pro instead of a PB1000Pro? The SB is much smaller. I know mixing ported and sealed is not recommended but...just wondering...for now can only afford either a PC2000Pro or a PB1000Pro. Your testing lab is quite something! @@TheFandangovideoguy if you're planning on buying PC 2000 pro, in the future if you're going dual buy another PC 2000 pro. It's not always a good idea to mix match.
Wondering what your thoughts would be... I can't decide, having never heard either option. If you had to choose, would you go with three PB_1000 Pro's (2 up front and 1 behind left of mlp, which is the max my room will allow for) or 2 PB-2000 Pro's (budget won't allow for 3 at this time). Thanks!
2 PB-2000 Pro's, easily. 3 will smooth out the bass a little more, but won't improve impact. You'll get more explosiveness from 2 PB-2000 Pro's than 3 PB-1000 Pro's.

Hey I know your question is old and you probably already made your decision but for me I went with the 3PB 1000 pros two in the front one behind it’s awesome man. One of the reason is because I have always ran three subs in my small gaming room and it fills the room with that explosive base once you have experienced that you would not want to go back to just two subs in your space In my front room I have 2PB 2000 pros in the front and two subs in the back because it feels the room with that slam with that explosion bass experience like you’re in the movie that you’re watching I have always ran 4 subs in my large room and two subs does not get it for me
Kind of a complicated question. If it's a single, then upgrading the dual PB-1000 Pro's would be my choice. If you're running duals already, the big advantage you'd be getting is more control using the app. With my tip at the end of the video, it'll really shine with movies. Best case scenario, you bought the NSD less than a year ago factory direct. If that's the case, then it's definitely worth trading up to dual PB-1000 Pro's. Even if it's been over a year, I would still check with them and see what's possible. They have fantastic customer service.

Have you heard the Monolith THX 10”. I purchased 2 of them, but they haven’t been shipped yet. It was these or the sb2000. I chose the Monoliths for the price. Now I’m confused. I’m wondering if I should stop the monolith order and buy 2 of the new PB1000 pros.
I haven't heard the Monolith 10 yet, but I do know that if you change your mind, you'll have to pay shipping to return them. That's just from personal experience returning Dual Monolith 15's. I live in the same state, but because of the weight, it was pretty expensive. I had to pay for the subs, get the review done in 30 days, and send them back. Frankly, it's just too hard for me to do reviews in that short of period, especially with unfamiliar brands. I was able to get this review done a little quicker, because I didn't have to learn the app, I had a good idea of what to expect, etc. That said, the PB-1000 Pro's I have aren't even broken in yet. I had to get this review done quicker than I prefer as well. Normally it's a 3-month process. I think the app, shipping, and the customer service at SVS give an edge to the PB-1000 Pro's, but I couldn't speak to the performance differences.
I bought a pair of " Monolith 10" 8 months ago, and I returned without problem and free. They were a beast, amazing sound, but unfortunately I had to move to a new apartment and my neighbors didn't like the vibration and sound that they made.
@Subwoofer 101: I am in a 9'x14' room. I know bigger is better usually, but do you think dual PB-1000 Pro is the way to go in a smaller room, or would you still recommend getting either the PB-2000 Pros or even 3000 Pros instead. I just don't know if that is overkill for a smaller room. Thoughts?
I've run everything in the RV, except for the PB-1000 Pro's The PB-2000 Pro's are in the RV now. I've also run the original PB-2000's, PB-3000's, and the PB-4000's. The only differences? Floor space and explosiveness. The problem with big subwoofers in small rooms is floor space and dealing with boundary gain. You also want to be more precise in your room correction, and I recommend at least Audyssey XT32. I did a video on it, big subwoofers tiny room, and as long as you do everything correctly, you should get the same benefits from the bigger subs that you would in a larger room, which is mostly more explosiveness and realism. As long as you go matched dual no matter what, and follow my bass hack video series, you should be able to make the most out of them and really enjoy them, no matter which you go with.
Actually, I just watched your other video about room size. I believe you would say... what ever my budget and room can fit. I think I will go with the dual PB-1000 Pro . But... I will be wondering what the dual PB-2000 Pros would sound/feel like. :)
Just more explosive and convincing, more realism. I think the PB-2000 Pro's are a great sweet spot. I wouldn't have chosen them for the RV if that weren't the case. They're impressive.

Thanks for the subscription and the kind words! I think you will really enjoy the PB-2000 Pro's, and I think I mentioned it already, but be sure to follow my Bass Hack video series. Because of the deeper shape of the response curve, room correction will set the subs far too low, just because of the nature of how room correction works. You will want to turn up the subs until it sounds overdone, and then back it down to where it doesn't. All of that is included in my bass hack series. If it's no problem for you, it'd be great if you could follow one of my affiliate links before purchase, but it's no biggie. I just really enjoy discussing deep bass and the benefits. The little tricks I've learned over the years can really make a substantial difference. Let me know how you do with them, I'm curious to get your feedback.

Especially for movies. The ability to adjust the response curve alone makes it worth it. My little tip at the end of the video makes a bigger difference than you might imagine.

I like clean deep sounding bass you can feel. Debating if I should go with a single more expensive sub set-up or a dual cheaper sub set-up? Specifically going with a single PB-2000 pro vs going with dual PB-1000 pros?
You should go with dual PB2000 pro's, but if money is an issue then go with dual PB1000 pro's To be honest I was shopping for dual PB2000 pro's and PB3000 until I saw this video. What SVS did is amazing on the PB1000 pro, the features the power and digs deep for fraction of the price. It was very hard for me to pass that up. Keep in mind you can still upgrade with SVS within 1 year, you'll have 100% credit for what you paid for on your current subs. You just have to pay the difference for the upgrade.

My channel is designed for new people. 🙂 Retro took the words out of my mouth, which I appreciate. Duals are the way to go over a larger/better single. It's a matter of physics and the standing wave effect. Two independent sources of the same bass signal create constructive interference. It's a good thing. In layman's terms, identical subwoofers iron out an otherwise super "wrinkled" bass wave. It's the only way to fly, if you care about bass!! Please don't be afraid to ask questions here. It helps you, I learn what people are needing help with, and it helps other people too. Check out my bass hack video series on my channel. What does the eq adjustment you showed at the end do for your overall response curve especially at the low end 20hz performance. I have 2 PB 2000 pros for the bedroom setup and would like to try that adjustment wondering if it would cause me any deep end loss in output? Thanks!!!!
It will increase the audible bass in the low end. So from about your personal hearing limit (20 hertz or so) to about 35-40 hertz or so. I graphed it in my PB-3000 vs PB-4000 vs Monolith 15 video. I just don't remember the exact numbers.
@@Subwoofer101 thanks for all you do and always having time for your subscribers! We really appreciate it. You know one thing I'm curious about? The moves they have made with 1000 2000 and 3000 series they have to be doing something in a year or 2 on they're higher end line. The lower end models cut into the higher levels a little too much. They even admitted it with the 3000 and how it competes with the 4000 almost the entire range from like 35 on up. It would be super cool if they did a version of the Super sub like the rythmik dual 15 or the monolith M215. Just for the extreme bassheads and keep the ultra 16's for the rest of us that don't want that
It's funny, apparently there was a big discussion about the PB-3000, they knew it was too good. 😄 But frankly, I'm thrilled that they're doing better with their lower priced subs. 3000 and down are all fantastic at the price now. It just makes it more attainable for more people. I don't know if I'll ever see a decent $300 subwoofer, because you can hear it if you cheap out on subs. Requires too many quality materials, just in bracing alone. But I'm pretty happy with this one. It's what I've been hoping for. It's why I was always geeked about specials. Hey man nice video. I have a question. Pb1000pro new price in my country is 1060 dollars. Pb2000pro second hand $1200. Do you think the difference is worth it? Pb2000pro 1 year old.
What makes the most sense is whatever you can get as duals. The PB-2000 Pro is noticeably better, more impact. Both have the same output profile, so both will sound the same when it comes to music. The 2000 Pro will just hit harder when it comes to movies. But unquestionably, dual PB-1000 Pros will be far better than a single PB-2000 Pro.
@@Subwoofer101 First of all, thank you very much for your answer. Normally I would buy 1kpro today. While I was looking at the ads today, I saw the 2nd hand 2k pro. Unfortunately, I don't have a chance to go dual soon. I have to choose one of the two. I will use 70% for movies, 20% for gaming and 10% for music. Which one would you choose?
You'll notice more impact with the PB-2000 Pro, but if it's completely unlikely that you'll be able to get a second PB-2000 Pro later on, and more likely to be able to get a second PB-1000 Pro, I would go with the PB -1000 Pro. Duals make that much of a difference, and in my experience, you want them to be matched. So basically, you want to forecast what you think you'll be able to do when it comes to getting the second sub. If you can't find another PB-2000 Pro second hand, the cost to get the second PB-2000 Pro might be out of reach. If that's the case, I would stick with the PB-1000 Pro. They are no slouch, and I would happily run them indefinitely. Within the SVS line, more power is just more icing on the cake.

what would be better - dual PB-1000 Pro or dual PB-2000? They are very close as prices where I live (Bulgaria) and they are kinda close as specs as well. That off-center port is bugging me for sure, but the quality of the sound is more important. For movies mostly ofc.

@@Subwoofer101 I was so waiting for this!! Finally! Ours is a new month old SVS PB1000 Pro! Complete with acoustically treated theater room having dimensions of 16x12x9 feet! Yesterday, I reran Audyssey, this time with close measurement points near our seating area. Subwoofer position unchanged and is still cornered at the left frontal corner with about 8 inches away from the side wall. Read SVS tutorials from website and our PB1000 Pro sub instructions card. Set -15 on the Subwoofer volume before the Calibration. After completion, the AVR-X2700 set Subwoofer level at -10db. Finally, I set it at -8 (for movies) on the Subwoofer volume and unchanged at-15 app vol for music. Dynamic EQ is ON, set to reference 0db. Dynamic volume OFF It sounds great and cohesive right off the bat! I would settle for this, unless there's something off that I am not aware about. please advise. Also, it's tempting for me to run it at -5 or -6 in the svs Sub app vol. Is it okay to drop to -5 from -8 in the svs app for our PB1000 pro? I learnt from your hacks about explosiveness and kept changes only limited to the app vol and haven't touched AVR-X2700 sub trim. Finally, did REW and adjusted two PEQ levels at 47HZ and 78HZ (skeptical about this area whether okay to do or not) and your hack of 29Hz (+4db boost with Q of 2.5)

Hello, I have a dilemma. I'm deciding between the new SVS PB-1000 pro vs the Polk HTS 12. I can get the HTS 12 for about $400. Is this new svs worth spending the extra $200? I would really appreciate the help.
Unquestionably, it's worth the extra $200. Night and day. The Polk rolls off, I'm guessing, around 28-40 hertz. That's normal, and VERY typical. The PB-1000 Pro has ZERO audible roll off. I can hear down to 17 hertz. It's powerful ALL the way down. I'll wager that you have only heard that kind of depth in real life. Actual thunder. Trains. It's definitely worth it.

Dual subwoofers typically add around 6 decibels. As a result, you don't need to run the gain as high, which is easier on the subs. I'm not sure what your definition of loud is, but dual PB-3000's might be a better choice, if you're talking super loud. Dual PB-1000 Pro's get PLENTY loud enough for me, without any signs of stress at my listening levels. Going up the line just means that your subs will have an easier time going louder.
@@Subwoofer101 ok I have a single pb 2000 pro right now when a bass drop hits in the below 30s I feel it a little in my body but I want more of that bass that I can feel in my chest. Are dual 2000 pro still the way too go if I want more of the bass that I feel in my body? I only listen and watch movies sometimes from my bed so I don’t have other parts in my room where I want the bass to be the same as where my bed would be should I still go duals? How many decibels were the duals pb 1000s measuring? When I measure my pb 2000 pro I can barely stay at 105db I don’t think I’ve ever measure it at 105db I get an average of around 85-95db and I’ve seen reviews where a single pb 4000 can hit 134db
Thanks for the review. I was gonna go overkill for my room with one pb 3000 but now seeing the show case for the pb 1000 pro and your review I’m leaning towards duel pb 1000 pros instead. Still a tough call. I don’t have room for two pb 3000 that’s why I was going single. The size and price for the pb 1000 pro is just too good.
Depends on your listening level. If you had duals, it would be unlikely to bother the PB-2000 Pro's, but your single already has to work harder. You get about a 6 dB bump or so with duals. As a single, it has to work harder for the same output. Listen for any misbehavior. If it sounds like it's struggling, back it down. You might be fine with +4 boost, or you might need to go with +1 or 2 to keep it from stressing. Regardless, when you get the second one, it should handle it without a sweat.
I’ve been running dual pb1000’s for a little over a year and love them. For anyone looking to get into svs subs, the new 1000 pros are the way to go. Saying that, I will stay with my OG 1000’s and the next upgrade will be 2k pros or 3k series....wife dependent.
Fortunately, the PB-3000 is only an inch bigger than the PB-2000 Pro in every dimension.
I could definitely see it being harder to get approval for a PB-4000 or PB-16 Ultra.
Those are both expensive, heavy, and huge. 😂 Killer bass though!!

Glad they gave you a copy since you were the first person that turned me on to SVS subs and duals. I gave my son my dual PB-1000’s. Now the 3 lower SVS subs look alike and are controlled by the app. This is a nice upgrade and make SVS even harder to beat!
I love the app. It's not gimmicky like some product apps can be.
LG has an app for their air conditioner. Used it 5 times or less. Just easier to use the panel or the remote.
The SVS app gets used about 1-2 times per week, more if I'm setting up.
It's incredibly useful.

Finally, some tips on setting the parametric EQ. I always had them turned off because I didn't know how they should be set. Thank you so much for the advice. I'm sure my dual pb-3000s will sound even better now. If that's possible.

@@Subwoofer101 Yes sir .. The settings you recommended for the parametric EQ made a nice difference for the Accountant. My sofa rumbled throughout most of the movie. And the suppressed gunfire? You were absolutely right. The subs even bottomed out briefly during Bladerunner 2049 so I lowered the volume a notch. That surprised me a little bit. Otherwise, these subs are really hard to beat performance wise. I've thought about upgrading to the PB-16 ULTRAS in the future but I can't imagine how much better performance I would get out of them. I bought two PB-1000 Pro subs for my first living room home theater , it is a 7.2.4 system, denon 3700h, Klipsch speakers and two PB-1000 Pro SVS subs, and we love them!!
I cant see any reason to go more powerful.
Price wise this was as much as I was willing to spend, knowing the Klipsch subs are 250.00 and 150 at times, for the 12" Klipsch, it took a lot to commit to 599 X 2 for these BUT Im very happy with them they truly are the heartbeat of my system, movies are awesome when you have dual subs that work well.
To spend 300 more and get the PB-2000 Pro doesnt make any sense to me, I cant imagine anyway to improve from these, there is nothing lacking.
Within the SVS Ported line, the more power equates to more impact in your chest at the same volume. That said, the PB-1000 Pros could keep me happy for life.

These new low cost SVS subwoofers are big game changers. After these there are only 3 real options, very low end cheap subwoofers in the 150-300 range, the new SVS SB-1000s at $500-600 each, or much higher end big subwoofers at over $2000 (and to be honest, unless you are going that high end or just wanting "good looking" subs that match your speakers, there is no point going anything between these and anything less then about $2000 when getting new subs). I have personally never used subwoofers in a home theater configuration, so I don't know exactly what they do most of the time but I'd defiantly consider getting these. Great review.

Got mine on Monday and made your EQ changes and wow!!. Upgraded from a KlipschR120SW and i'm in a whole new era. I am really happy I bought this. Plays music very well can't wait to get the plugs to see how differently it performs. I live in an apt and i can play by bass louder cause it's deeper. Much easier to play loud deep bass than loud boomy bass. I love it!!! So happy to be on board SVS. Watched Godzilla and feeling the bass as opposed to hearing it is a fantastic experience.

I just got 2 for $150ea...there great for the price, but there too boomy for me..so i was gonna return em and get these..so these are much cleaner sounding then?

Not sure of there's a difference in audio quality...but now I got the SVS 😁😁 yes the PB1000pro although more expensive gives a higher quality bass. Much deeper. A lot more clarity in movies.. no more boomy bass.. Make sure you go duals. When I save up more I'll get another.

@@ThatCrazyRCGuy67 np..also to help with the boominess I bought the SVS sound isolation feet. It helped a lot...they cost 50 bucks though and you have to subs but you only have to buy them once and when you buy the svs you'll already have the feet. They make a difference. Also remember your klipsch subs have to break in..watch subwoofer 101 video on gain hack...you'll get better performance. But again these are shallow bass subs.

This guy is smart but I wish he understood that a lot of us have sealed subwoofers. Would be nice to get good videos on them. Know you don’t like them tho.
It's a very unfortunate sensitivity, likely due to a concussion 20 years ago.
Post Concussion Syndrome can last a lifetime, and it probably will for me. Causes light and sound sensitivity, among other issues.
That said, typically SVS sealed subs GO deeper, while ported subs SOUND deeper.
More relative output under 40 hertz.
I know a lot of people prefer sealed, and I'm not happy about the sensitivity.
But I know I'm not the only person who experiences the discomfort.
That said, I plan to revisit the issue.
There's a small chance that I can tinker with settings and make them tolerable. I'm cautiously optimistic.
I have dual SVS SB3000 s great for music and HT.

No problem! If you go factory direct, you can still upgrade within a year, if you get the upgrade bug.
The PB-2000 Pro's are worth the upgrade, but dual PB-1000 Pro's are fantastic, especially at that price.
This makes me so happy. More people can now afford deep, truly bottomless bass.

The PB-2000 Pro is outstanding.
When you get that second one in, you're going to really hear what those subs are all about.
I went through the same thing with the PB-16 Ultra.
I had two PB-2000 originals, but I only got a single PB-16 Ultra because of supply issues. They kept selling out.
I had to wait 4 months or so for the second PB-16 Ultra.
I tried mixing the PB-16 Ultra with the PB-2000s. Fail. Big fail.
I actually turned off the PB-16 Ultra, in favor of the dual PB-2000 originals. Crazy but true.
I also tried mixing the PB-16 Ultra with the VTF 15, and it was better since they were similar in driver size and box size, but I was still a little underwhelmed.
When I finally got the second one in, holy moly, it was an entirely different experience!
It's that experience that makes me not want to ever mix subwoofers again.
You're combining sound waves for constructive interference.
As best I can tell, any difference in the source of the sound waves seems to degrade the experience.
Oddly, whenever I mixed a higher power sub with a lower powered sub, the overall effect seemed to favor the lower powered sub.
The VTF 15 I have is 350 watts RMS. The PB-16 Ultra is 1,500. That's quite a difference.
When I finally had both PB16 Ultras, I went from being kind of underwhelmed to really understanding what those subs are all about. To me, it was night and day.
I held off doing the review until I had both, because I was so underwhelmed, and I wanted to make sure once I had both.
I'm glad I waited. I went from not understanding what the fuss was about, to having the best bass I've ever heard.
That's why I harp on matched duals so much.

I'm a 2 channel guy and record/mix music. Setup is older Yamaha HS8s' and an sb2000 upgrading to a sb3000. Bass is very important to an overall balanced mix. Great reviewer, subbed. Pun in there somewhere..

Are you going dual? Highly recommend it, even if it means two PB-2000 Pro's.
I imagine you're inclined to run sealed.
You can do both with the PB-2000 Pro's and the PB-3000's.
Not going to push ported on you too hard, but duals?
VITAL.
ESPECIALLY for music.
Also, run the subs so high that they're obviously overdone, then bring it back down until they aren't.
Because of the response curve of these subs, you can run them higher than most other subwoofers.
Most people can usually run a little more gain than they do with SVS subs.
Really warms up the music, and you can enjoy lower listening levels, with a nice rich sound.
I'd also try varying the phase in 10 degree increments for both subs, to narrow in on the right sound.
Unless your preamp / AVR has distance adjustment.
Then just use distance setting for the subwoofer, adding a foot at a time.
That's better than using phase, because you're actually delaying your main speakers a little bit, allowing the bass to populate the room "before" the mains.
Since bass has a slower decay, it sounds perfect.
It separates the phase just enough to where you don't get your main speakers interfering with your subwoofers.
That's the gist of my distance hack.
If you let room correction set everything up, and just leave the distance as it is, it might be correct by the book, but it's suppressing some of the bass, and it's a measurable phenomenon.
Using phase instead delays the bass. Not as good, but better than not. You just don't want the exact same timing.
If room correction sets the subwoofer to 12 ft, I'll change that to 16 ft.
Also, this may all be for not, but if you are using an AVR with room correction, you'll notice the distance setting for the subwoofer is greater than it's measured.
That's because the DSP processing has a slight delay.
So a subwoofer that's 10 ft away might register as 12.5 ft. And yes I still add 4 ft, so 16.5.
Anyway, glad to have a two-channel guy subscribed!

Hello, i have a SB2000 in a 5.1.2 setup but im not totally satisfied by it and i think i should have bought a ported one. Do you think i will make an upgrade or a downgrade if i exchange the SB2000 for a PB1000 Pro model? Will i loose something?
I steer clear from sealed subs, as they tend to create an uncomfortable pressure sensation to me. Likely due to TBI/Post Concussion Syndrome.
That said, the SB-2000 is a great sealed sub.
I would choose dual ported PB-1000's over dual sealed SB-2000's. Sounds deeper, even if the sealed "go" deeper. It's all about relativity. The PB-1000's will get louder as they go deeper.
Ported subs are also more efficient, so I don't think you will loose usable output.
For me, any perceived advantages of a sealed subs are overshadowed.
I just ordered one of these and the hope is that I will be able to order another one in the next year or so. I'm looking forward to hearing it.
Price is going up $200 on 10/4. I just got mine yesterday. I got the SB 1000 pro first, and it really wasn't enough- weak unless in a corner. The PB 1000 Pro is way better and the placement seems to matter much less. Wish I could keep both, but I can't justify the cost.
I just picked up the pb2000 pro and it's definitely the best sub I've ever had I had the sb2000 pro but it didn't have enough Bass.

Funny thing, the center channel has typically been at 90.
But, the center channel gets a lot of bass typically, so I've raised the crossover to 110. Little more kick, not much lost.

Thoughts on switching from an Outlaw lmf-1 ex to the PB-1000 pro? My living room is 12x9 but opens to the dining room and kitchen. My specs are about the same to me but unsure about switching from a downfiring to a front firing. I’ve had my sub for 7-8 years now.

Yes. You'll be able to control one sub at a time, but you could have 6 SVS subs with the app and be able to control them all.
All you have to do is select which sub you want.
I rename them each myself, that way I know what I'm dealing with.
For example the left sub is PB1L, and the right sub is PB1R.
You can name them anything you want, like Bill or George. Completely up to you.
If I'm using the PEQ, I'll set the value, then select the other sub, and it stays on the PEQ menu.
Might not seem super special, but if it defaulted to the home screen every time you changed subwoofers, it could be tedious.
It's pretty well thought out.
I am considering the sealed version for my DJ set up in the studio.
So here's a curveball for you.
If you went with dual PB-1000 Pro's, you'd have certain advantages that I'd imagine would be very helpful.
First off there's ported mode, which sounds the deepest.
Then there's sealed mode.
Then you can use the PEQs to shape the response curve to match basic, shallow subwoofers.
So, what that means to you is that you could hear what your music will sound like ported, sealed, and on every other subwoofer on the planet by changing the response curve.
I think it's a brilliant solution for anybody who works in a studio and wants to hear different types of bass with their music.
You could basically have three presets, one for deep bass ported, one for deep bass sealed, and one for ported shallow bass, where it rolls off under 40-50 hz like every other driver in a box out there.
That's my two cents anyway!
I have the option of getting the new pb1000 pro or the older pb2000 used for about the same price. What would you recommend?
Frankly, I'd go with the Pro. The original PB-2000 is awesome, but the added control of the app is underappreciated.
My preference in order:
PB-2000 Pro
PB-1000 Pro
PB-2000 original

Hi there. I hope you can guide me a bit with this question... I decided to try a PB-1000 pro and it's awesome! I like it a lot-my listening area is about 2,600 cubic feet and I sit 10 feet away from my TV and Denon AVR-4400...but I confess I like the cylinder type subs so much (the look etc) that I've decided to get a second sub-this time a PC-2000 pro and I want to run a dual set up-even if these two SVS subs are NOT the same model and even if many experts will tell me that that is a big NO NO...I will do this! My question is would it be better to place the PC2000 pro at the front and the PB-1000 pro in near field next to my couch but not firing into my couch but rather back to the room? or would it be better to keep the PB1000 pro at the front and place the PC2000 pro near field next to my couch? Or will I just simply "go to audio hell" for trying to set up a dual sub system with these two subs? LOL...thanks for your help..
I have played with the thought of selling my PB 4000 and get 2 PB 1000 pro but I think they will disappoint me because of what I'm used too now.

Honestly, I'd shoot for dual PB-2000 Pro's because they will still have a premium kick.
But I'd run dual PB-1000 Pro's over a single PB-4000 any day, as awesome as the PB-4000 is.

Any time you're choosing between similar caliber subs, like deep bass subs, smaller duals are better than a single.
The app, and the ability to shape the response curve from your chair is REALLY nice.
So long as they are truly deep bass subs, I would always split your budget for duals.
So in this scenario, dual PB-1000 Pro's all day long.

One pb1000 pro should suffice. Ours is a 15X11X9 feet acoustically treated theater room.
Duals would be proper. From the PB-1000 and up, it's mostly increased explosiveness and realism.
Dual PB-2000 Pro's are the subs I chose for the RV. Goldilocks sub; explosiveness, size, and price are great.
Perfect for demonstrating the sound I'm always talking about.

2 vs 4 of the same subs doesn't increase explosiveness.
Little more even coverage, but it can also be more complicated.
Definitely more TNT packed in the PB-3000's.
Only the PB-16 Ultras are undeniably more explosive.
The PB-4000's are just a little more explosive, but not enough to be blown away by going from the PB-3000's to the PB-4000's.
PB-3000's are less expensive, lighter, smaller, with no noticeable loss of impact. Just doesn't have a front display or piano finish.
The PB-3000's are a SOLID choice.
@@Subwoofer101 yeah I was going to stack them to make up for the loss of amp power (+6db gain) which evens out their power, pretty close, but yeah it wont give me that increase in explosiveness, I guess it's a matter of having the power headroom available at an instant for fast transience more than it's about power for max spl. I love the idea of PB 16's...but I can't really deal with a 175 pound subwoofer(s), I'm not getting any younger, and its going in a basement, least for now. Also at this stage in my life, money isn't no object, I need to optimize my expenses and get the most bang for buck before I hit significant diminishing returns. Several people have said the 3000's are the ultimate sweet spot, so that's where I am heading. Only question is do i get the pb 1000's now with my prime elevations, and upgrade later after enjoying them for a bit. or just wait and "suffer" with my single Cambridge P1000 (dual opposing 10's) I have real concerns about it being able to keep up with a 7.1.4 Atmos system in a 22x24 foot room, and after spending like $8000 on a new Epson 6050, screen new Marantz 7706 pre pro and mm7055 amp (re-using my old SR9300 amps for the other 6 channels), the last thing I want to do is sit down and watch a movie, and go...oh, where's the low end?
Do you think the PB-2000 Pro's would give me that hit to the chest if dual 1000 Pro's are not delivering that sensation? The 1000 Pro's can rattle my seats quite well, but I am not getting that pressurized sensation to the front of my body. I set the volume to -10 db and room corrected with my receiver, as the instructions stated, but I have not tried any gain hacks or additional optimizations. My room is 2800 cubic feet, by the way.

I wouldn't do it.
Some people will say it sounds just fine, but I found that the greater the disparity between the two subs, the more problems you run into.
What you're after is constructive interference.
If you run a 10-in sub with a 16-in sub, the two waves will not have the same "shape", and the constructive interference will not be quite as clean.
The closer they are together the better, but in my experience you get the best results when they are the exact same subwoofer.
I emailed SVS and was shocked at their reply, I was concerned about being left behind as I hadn't planned or budgeted for upgrading until next year, I asked how the 2 would pair and they said phase response and output are different but it might work give it a try? That didn't really inspire confidence that they haven't tested this setup...also no mention of any promotion of any kind for current owners of pb1000 trying to move over to the pro

I will definitely try out the pEQ setting and see how it sounds....since I'm running large front speakers, I probably won't need the boost at 4db, but it's a good starting point

I would say so. Definitely more versatile and more precise control.
I *think* these are more explosive, but if you want to ensure a noticeable change in explosiveness, the PB-2000 Pro's would be undeniably more explosive.
Regardless, I would prioritize duals first.
So if you have a single PB12-NSD, dual PB-1000 Pro's would easily be better, if that's more attainable for you.

Looks like the style is easy to find in the US and UK but sadly enough not in Europe. Would have been the perfect style for a UST projector with below it the center speaker and the hifi components.
If you had to go with a white sub under $2k what would you get? I see sealed 1000 is what SVS offers. They ran a limited edition 2000 but that's long gone. What sub would you compare to the sealed 1000 pro?

I'm coming from a Paradigm PS 1000 which love but unfortunately is currently clicking and popping after 31 years of usage. I hope will be a cone surround refurbishment which they suffer from, but if it's anything else then the SVS PB-1000 Pro will be my replacement. If you could recommend any svs sub (s) for home theatre in a small 13×15' room what would you suggest? Currently have a single PB1000 Pro in a 7.1.4 system. Size/space is a bigger issue than money so not sure what would be best recommendation for the space (no demos in my area unfortunately). Single PB4000, dual 1000 pro's etc? any advice is appreciated!
Room size is not nearly as big of an issue as you might think.
Within the SVS line, the more power, the more realism.
Whatever you can afford, I would just make sure that you run dual identical subwoofers.
I've run the PB-4000s In the motorhome, and they sounded amazing.
What I would personally do, depending on budget, is go in these steps, getting whatever I could fit into my budget.
Dual PB-1000 Pros, PB-2000 Pros, PB-3000s, or PB-16 Ultras.
I would skip the PB-4000's, unless you really want piano gloss, and you can't afford PB-16 Ultras.
The reason for that is that the PB-3000's are incredibly close in performance to the PB-4000's.
I would not recommend that someone upgrade from the PB-3000 to the PB-4000, because I don't think you would be able to hear where the extra money went.
If you went from the PB-3000 to the PB-16 Ultra, you'd be able to hear, or more to the point, feel where the money went.
The most important thing in my opinion is that you have matched identical subs.
Then follow my bass hack series, particularly the distance hack, crossover hack, things like that.
I guess the thing to stress is that having a small room does not limit you on having amazing bass.
A lot of people will say that something like dual PB-16 Ultras would overpower your room.
Only if you can't control the volume dial.
The only difference from the PB-1000 to the PB-16 Ultra was realism and impact. The bass was much more potent and visceral.
I experienced no issues going from the smallest sub to the largest sub, aside from size and weight.
There was no audible issue at all.
Meaning the most powerful SVS subwoofer was no more difficult to integrate than the least powerful.
So the good news is, get whatever you want. And don't listen to people who will tell you that it will overpower your room, or that it's overkill. That hasn't been my experience at all.

Great video. I'm having a hard time deciding which sub to get. I ordered a sb 1000 pro and am completely underwhelmed and I am exchanging it for either the pb 1000 pro or the pb 2000 pro. I live in a duplex and have a shared wall so I can't crank it all the time.
I think the 1000 pro will work for me but I would hate to make the same mistake again by buying the wrong sub.
My room is fairly big and if I didn't have to worry about being too loud I would get the 2000 pro without a thought. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated
I have a SVS PB12 plus, in which they don't make anymore. Would you recommend using the PB12 plus and the PB-1000 as a dual sub combo?
In my experience, when you mix subs, the overall bass presentation favors the less powerful subwoofer. It's weird, but that's been my experience.
If I HAD to, I would think that the PB-2000 Pro would be a better choice, but your still combining slightly different bass waves, so it's not as "perfect" as dual PB-2000 Pro's would be.
To be sure, If you did it with the PB-1000 Pro, it would sound better than a single.
Just not as good as if it were matched subs.

I have an SVS PB12-NSD and am currently setting a second set of speakers in the garage for my man cave setup. I need to get a sub and was thinking about getting the pb-1000 pro. Do you believe this is a better sub that my current sub? I ask because if it's the better sub I'll install it in my home theater and move the PB12-NSD to the garage.

Another question would be, there is a big difference between two pb-1000 pro vs two pb-2000 pro in a small dedicated cinema room with perfect acoustic design.
How do the pb2000 pros compare to monolith 12 ultras? Looking at dual set up for theater room. Or are the Pb1000 pros good enough. Room is 18x14x8.5.

@@Subwoofer101 After a 2 days and finally some solid listening time through some demo material. 1. The ease of use of the app IS worth the upgrade alone. Not having to bend over or squeeze behind all the speakers is fantastic. 2. The performance is definitely a step up from the originals. The pros have more punch or as like to say, they are a more violent subwoofer with impacts and gunshots. 3. They dig deeper for sure and seem to do it with less effort. I will certainly be keeping these and sending the originals back.

Well, honestly I would stretch for dual PB-2000 Pro's, otherwise the dual PB-1000 Pro's.
Anything to do with theater, ported usually dominates. You can run both Pro models in sealed mode too.
@@Subwoofer101 How musical are the PB 1000 Pros, paired to B&W 600/700 series or similar. Would closing the ports make it less boomy and quicker. Question is do they keep up with the L/R speakers without sounding too out of place and shifting attention to themselves.

I think the hsu is better based on what I’ve searched but then again they’re out of stock on back order. Also where SVS gets you is having the ability to adjust right from your seat on your phone. I was able to order a pb-1000 pro yesterday the same day after their announcement while again the hsu is not in stock. I currently bought the original pb-1000 and it rocks for movies. With two you’ll be good to go

How would the SVS PB-1000 Pro compare to the XTZ 12.17 EDGE?
I got a single pb2000 pro but can not seem to get the bass right in my apartment. I tried in different locations in my room. In the right front corner it sounds to boomy, on the left front not enough bass etc... Is there something like too big of a subwoofer for a room?. Am afraid to go double pb2000 pro. Instead should I go double pb1000 pro's? (BTW am into movies)
Love my new dual PB1000s in my bedroom. I have separate systems for music and movies in our main living room and am doing research and saving $ to upgrade everything. I really want to upgrade to PB 3000s or above but want to be able to use them for both systems. Problem is my music system has no sub out etc so I need subs with speaker level ins. At some point I want to replace my old receiver that I use for music to separates which would alleviate the connection issue. I would like to be able to use it in the meantime as I save $ with dual subs. It only has speaker outs and one out for a tape deck I assume anyway. I mostly listen to music but really want to get the absolute most clean, deep bass that I can possibly afford. One day I think I will just go with the bigger more expensive models and just not use them with my music system and other days I am more impatient and think I will just go with the PB1000 Pros for the speaker connections. The trade up thing is great but doubt that I will have saved enough $ within a year to upgrade to separates at the level that I want to anyway plus I need to upgrade speakers.. The struggle is real! Really appreciate your channel and insights.
fantastic review! My fantastic SVS PC-12 NSD died and I was thinking of getting a PC2000 Pro but now that the PB1000 pro is out I'm thinking that maybe I don't need the PC2000 pro. I like the cylinder look but I don't think it will give me more-I don't listen at reference levels! but I would love some good bass below 25HZ...I will listen responsibly and safely! How does the PB 1000Pro compare against the PB2000 pro? The biggest difference between the PB-1000 Pro and the PB-2000 Pro is simply explosiveness, size, and price.
It's noticeable, and my own preference would be the PB-2000 Pro's.
Both will put a nice grin on your face, especially if you use that little tip at the end of the video.
In The Accountant, you'll notice the stronger kick from the 2000 Pro.
Just a bit more realism, explosiveness, and headroom.
That said, all of the subs on my list are subs I could live with for the rest of my life.
The PB-1000 Pro definitely qualifies!!
@@Subwoofer101 right...well...my old PC 12NSD was good but the PB1000 pro and the PB2000Pro must be absolutely beasts! I have a modest 5.1.4 set up with a denon AVR X4400H and I can't play my system very loud...just a bit loud but I want to feel some of those hits during the movies (I'll be careful with the opening of Edge of Tomorrow or War of the Worlds!)- I still want to get the PC2000 Pro (I'm in Canada and my local distributor hasn't got any shipments yet...)-I like the shape of it and I think it will "hit" those notes during movies really well...The PB2000 Pro is too big for my setup...one final question...if I finally get the PC2000 pro and down the road I can afford a second subwoofer-not for more power but for better response or near field positioning...could I use a SB1000 or a SB1000Pro instead of a PB1000Pro? The SB is much smaller. I know mixing ported and sealed is not recommended but...just wondering...for now can only afford either a PC2000Pro or a PB1000Pro. Your testing lab is quite something! Wondering what your thoughts would be... I can't decide, having never heard either option. If you had to choose, would you go with three PB_1000 Pro's (2 up front and 1 behind left of mlp, which is the max my room will allow for) or 2 PB-2000 Pro's (budget won't allow for 3 at this time). Thanks!
2 PB-2000 Pro's, easily.
3 will smooth out the bass a little more, but won't improve impact.
You'll get more explosiveness from 2 PB-2000 Pro's than 3 PB-1000 Pro's.

Hey I know your question is old and you probably already made your decision but for me I went with the 3PB 1000 pros two in the front one behind it’s awesome man.
One of the reason is because I have always ran three subs in my small gaming room and it fills the room with that explosive base once you have experienced that you would not want to go back to just two subs in your space
In my front room I have 2PB 2000 pros in the front and two subs in the back because it feels the room with that slam with that explosion bass experience like you’re in the movie that you’re watching I have always ran 4 subs in my large room and two subs does not get it for me

Kind of a complicated question. If it's a single, then upgrading the dual PB-1000 Pro's would be my choice.
If you're running duals already, the big advantage you'd be getting is more control using the app. With my tip at the end of the video, it'll really shine with movies.
Best case scenario, you bought the NSD less than a year ago factory direct.
If that's the case, then it's definitely worth trading up to dual PB-1000 Pro's.
Even if it's been over a year, I would still check with them and see what's possible. They have fantastic customer service.

Have you heard the Monolith THX 10”. I purchased 2 of them, but they haven’t been shipped yet. It was these or the sb2000. I chose the Monoliths for the price. Now I’m confused. I’m wondering if I should stop the monolith order and buy 2 of the new PB1000 pros.
I haven't heard the Monolith 10 yet, but I do know that if you change your mind, you'll have to pay shipping to return them.
That's just from personal experience returning Dual Monolith 15's. I live in the same state, but because of the weight, it was pretty expensive.
I had to pay for the subs, get the review done in 30 days, and send them back.
Frankly, it's just too hard for me to do reviews in that short of period, especially with unfamiliar brands.
I was able to get this review done a little quicker, because I didn't have to learn the app, I had a good idea of what to expect, etc.
That said, the PB-1000 Pro's I have aren't even broken in yet. I had to get this review done quicker than I prefer as well.
Normally it's a 3-month process.
I think the app, shipping, and the customer service at SVS give an edge to the PB-1000 Pro's, but I couldn't speak to the performance differences.
I bought a pair of " Monolith 10" 8 months ago, and I returned without problem and free. They were a beast, amazing sound, but unfortunately I had to move to a new apartment and my neighbors didn't like the vibration and sound that they made.
@Subwoofer 101: I am in a 9'x14' room. I know bigger is better usually, but do you think dual PB-1000 Pro is the way to go in a smaller room, or would you still recommend getting either the PB-2000 Pros or even 3000 Pros instead. I just don't know if that is overkill for a smaller room. Thoughts?
I've run everything in the RV, except for the PB-1000 Pro's
The PB-2000 Pro's are in the RV now.
I've also run the original PB-2000's, PB-3000's, and the PB-4000's.
The only differences?
Floor space and explosiveness.
The problem with big subwoofers in small rooms is floor space and dealing with boundary gain. You also want to be more precise in your room correction, and I recommend at least Audyssey XT32.
I did a video on it, big subwoofers tiny room, and as long as you do everything correctly, you should get the same benefits from the bigger subs that you would in a larger room, which is mostly more explosiveness and realism.
As long as you go matched dual no matter what, and follow my bass hack video series, you should be able to make the most out of them and really enjoy them, no matter which you go with.
Actually, I just watched your other video about room size. I believe you would say... what ever my budget and room can fit. I think I will go with the dual PB-1000 Pro . But... I will be wondering what the dual PB-2000 Pros would sound/feel like. :)
Just more explosive and convincing, more realism. I think the PB-2000 Pro's are a great sweet spot. I wouldn't have chosen them for the RV if that weren't the case. They're impressive.

I think you will really enjoy the PB-2000 Pro's, and I think I mentioned it already, but be sure to follow my Bass Hack video series.
Because of the deeper shape of the response curve, room correction will set the subs far too low, just because of the nature of how room correction works.
You will want to turn up the subs until it sounds overdone, and then back it down to where it doesn't.
All of that is included in my bass hack series.
If it's no problem for you, it'd be great if you could follow one of my affiliate links before purchase, but it's no biggie.
I just really enjoy discussing deep bass and the benefits.
The little tricks I've learned over the years can really make a substantial difference.

First timer here to your channel. Sorry if you've already answered this question a million times already in other videos. But I am looking to purchase from SVS soon. I like clean deep sounding bass you can feel. Debating if I should go with a single more expensive sub set-up or a dual cheaper sub set-up? Specifically going with a single PB-2000 pro vs going with dual PB-1000 pros?
You should go with dual PB2000 pro's, but if money is an issue then go with dual PB1000 pro's
To be honest I was shopping for dual PB2000 pro's and PB3000 until I saw this video. What SVS did is amazing on the PB1000 pro, the features the power and digs deep for fraction of the price. It was very hard for me to pass that up.
Keep in mind you can still upgrade with SVS within 1 year, you'll have 100% credit for what you paid for on your current subs. You just have to pay the difference for the upgrade.
No worries about being new, and I appreciate the comment.

Duals are the way to go over a larger/better single. It's a matter of physics and the standing wave effect.
Two independent sources of the same bass signal create constructive interference. It's a good thing.
In layman's terms, identical subwoofers iron out an otherwise super "wrinkled" bass wave.
It's the only way to fly, if you care about bass!!
Please don't be afraid to ask questions here.

What does the eq adjustment you showed at the end do for your overall response curve especially at the low end 20hz performance. I have 2 PB 2000 pros for the bedroom setup and would like to try that adjustment wondering if it would cause me any deep end loss in output? Thanks!!!!
It will increase the audible bass in the low end.
So from about your personal hearing limit (20 hertz or so) to about 35-40 hertz or so.
I graphed it in my PB-3000 vs PB-4000 vs Monolith 15 video. I just don't remember the exact numbers.

@@Subwoofer101 thanks for all you do and always having time for your subscribers! We really appreciate it. You know one thing I'm curious about? The moves they have made with 1000 2000 and 3000 series they have to be doing something in a year or 2 on they're higher end line. The lower end models cut into the higher levels a little too much. They even admitted it with the 3000 and how it competes with the 4000 almost the entire range from like 35 on up. It would be super cool if they did a version of the Super sub like the rythmik dual 15 or the monolith M215. Just for the extreme bassheads and keep the ultra 16's for the rest of us that don't want that
It's funny, apparently there was a big discussion about the PB-3000, they knew it was too good. 😄
But frankly, I'm thrilled that they're doing better with their lower priced subs. 3000 and down are all fantastic at the price now.
It just makes it more attainable for more people.
I don't know if I'll ever see a decent $300 subwoofer, because you can hear it if you cheap out on subs. Requires too many quality materials, just in bracing alone.
But I'm pretty happy with this one. It's what I've been hoping for. It's why I was always geeked about specials.
Now there's no real reason to wait around for a special. That's a win!

Hey man nice video. I have a question. Pb1000pro new price in my country is 1060 dollars. Pb2000pro second hand $1200. Do you think the difference is worth it? Pb2000pro 1 year old.
What makes the most sense is whatever you can get as duals.
The PB-2000 Pro is noticeably better, more impact.
Both have the same output profile, so both will sound the same when it comes to music.
The 2000 Pro will just hit harder when it comes to movies.
But unquestionably, dual PB-1000 Pros will be far better than a single PB-2000 Pro.

Unfortunately, I don't have a chance to go dual soon. I have to choose one of the two. I will use 70% for movies, 20% for gaming and 10% for music.

You'll notice more impact with the PB-2000 Pro, but if it's completely unlikely that you'll be able to get a second PB-2000 Pro later on, and more likely to be able to get a second PB-1000 Pro, I would go with the PB -1000 Pro.
Duals make that much of a difference, and in my experience, you want them to be matched.
So basically, you want to forecast what you think you'll be able to do when it comes to getting the second sub.
If you can't find another PB-2000 Pro second hand, the cost to get the second PB-2000 Pro might be out of reach.
If that's the case, I would stick with the PB-1000 Pro. They are no slouch, and I would happily run them indefinitely.
Within the SVS line, more power is just more icing on the cake.

Ours is a new month old SVS PB1000 Pro! Complete with acoustically treated theater room having dimensions of 16x12x9 feet!
Yesterday, I reran Audyssey, this time with close measurement points near our seating area. Subwoofer position unchanged and is still cornered at the left frontal corner with about 8 inches away from the side wall.
Read SVS tutorials from website and our PB1000 Pro sub instructions card. Set -15 on the Subwoofer volume before the Calibration. After completion, the AVR-X2700 set Subwoofer level at -10db.
Finally, I set it at -8 (for movies) on the Subwoofer volume and unchanged at-15 app vol for music. Dynamic EQ is ON, set to reference 0db. Dynamic volume OFF
It sounds great and cohesive right off the bat! I would settle for this, unless there's something off that I am not aware about. please advise. Also, it's tempting for me to run it at -5 or -6 in the svs Sub app vol. Is it okay to drop to -5 from -8 in the svs app for our PB1000 pro? I learnt from your hacks about explosiveness and kept changes only limited to the app vol and haven't touched AVR-X2700 sub trim. Finally, did REW and adjusted two PEQ levels at 47HZ and 78HZ (skeptical about this area whether okay to do or not) and your hack of 29Hz (+4db boost with Q of 2.5)

When I try to go to your list of Subs you’d spend your money on, Safari warns me not to enter due to some certificate expiring 27 days ago??
Anyway you can “Fix” that so I can check your ideas.
Also, IYO I have a pair of 10inch Martin and Logan 800X’s. They’re downward firing subs. Good? Not Good? So, So? Your thoughts.

Hello, I have a dilemma. I'm deciding between the new SVS PB-1000 pro vs the Polk HTS 12. I can get the HTS 12 for about $400. Is this new svs worth spending the extra $200? I would really appreciate the help.

Unquestionably, it's worth the extra $200. Night and day.
The Polk rolls off, I'm guessing, around 28-40 hertz.
That's normal, and VERY typical.
The PB-1000 Pro has ZERO audible roll off.
I can hear down to 17 hertz. It's powerful ALL the way down.
I'll wager that you have only heard that kind of depth in real life. Actual thunder. Trains.
It's definitely worth it.

Dual subwoofers typically add around 6 decibels.
As a result, you don't need to run the gain as high, which is easier on the subs.
I'm not sure what your definition of loud is, but dual PB-3000's might be a better choice, if you're talking super loud.
Dual PB-1000 Pro's get PLENTY loud enough for me, without any signs of stress at my listening levels.
Going up the line just means that your subs will have an easier time going louder.

I’ve ever measure it at 105db I get an average of around 85-95db and I’ve seen reviews where a single pb 4000 can hit 134db
Thanks for the review. I was gonna go overkill for my room with one pb 3000 but now seeing the show case for the pb 1000 pro and your review I’m leaning towards duel pb 1000 pros instead. Still a tough call. I don’t have room for two pb 3000 that’s why I was going single. The size and price for the pb 1000 pro is just too good.

Depends on your listening level.
If you had duals, it would be unlikely to bother the PB-2000 Pro's, but your single already has to work harder.
You get about a 6 dB bump or so with duals. As a single, it has to work harder for the same output.
Listen for any misbehavior. If it sounds like it's struggling, back it down.
You might be fine with +4 boost, or you might need to go with +1 or 2 to keep it from stressing.
Regardless, when you get the second one, it should handle it without a sweat.
