    Hi Dans,
    Nice video! I currently own a Polk Audio HTS 12 and really enjoy what it can do! A violent mid bass, does dig deep but not too much, clean and tight bass and low distortion. This was my upgrade, from a MK VX-7B, an enormous upgrande in all senses. But, I really want some day, experience a real loud and DEEP infrasonic bass below 20 Hz. I would love to get a JTR Captivator 2400 as my endgame subwoofer, but it can be something really difficult, according to my location, budget and lot of others factors.

      Hi Joilson, thank you for sharing your subwoofer info 🙂 Before I upgraded I didn't even know that bass at home can get so deep and powerful. I was very pleasantly surprised when I set up my SVS. So much bang for your buck. The tricky part is to hold yourself back not to put the volume up too high on the sub, because you always want more 😁 I hope you can upgrade to a below 20Hz sub soon too. It is so much fun 🙂

      @@SamDansCouch I can imagine how pleasant the sensation was, when you set up a new subwoofer and experience what it can do! Very nice surprise! Congratulations! I totally agreed with you: do not turn up the subwoofer volume! There's no way back! 😂😂😂😂
      I really hope to have fun, as soon as possible, playing below 20 Hz! Thanks!
      Just to have some fun, try this test on your subwoofer, I guess you'll like it!

    Great video! Thank you very much! I plan to change my Koda gw212 sub woofer. I have a similar av like yours, pioneer VSX-LX305. I am between the pb1000pro, sb2000pro, pb2000pro. Even though badget is a thing, I think I am ready to spend some extra money for a more expensive model. You takes about room size. What is your room size and what do you think that is the largest room that the pb1000pro could be sufficient? My living room is about 45 cubic feet, while my watching area is about the half. What model would you suggest? Thank you in advance!

      Forgot to mention that my movie watching volume is usually between -5db to -12db.

      @@Constantine4j Hello 🙂 Thank you so much! I heard and read from many people who choose the PB200Pro over the PB1000 Pro just because they don't want "the entry model". Realistically though the PB2000 Pro doesn't offer that much more wattage compared to how much more money it will cost you. Personally I would first go with the PB1000 Pro and see if you like it (bass is really something of personal taste). And if you need more power maybe even think about getting a second PB1000 Pro. If you have the space of course 🙂I'm loving my PB 1000 Pro and I am using it every day. SVS is a really good brand and their customer support is also second to none.

    hi...can you tell me how many level on svs subwoofer for volume, phase and low pass you set up? and also how many level calibration you set up for subwoofer on your onkyo RZ50? and also tone bass? thanks...

    • @SamDansCouch
      @SamDansCouch  11 месяцев назад

      Hi Phendy! 👋 I have mine at -10db volume, phase at 0, low pass filter “off” and on the rz50 I have the sub at -14,5db. That’s all after DiracLive room correction. My living room is a little narrow so the svs doesn’t need a lot of power. Crossover on the rz50 I’ve set to 120.

      Hello everday_life1991 👋Are you experiencing clipping? You might have to reduce the gain of the subwoofer itself. You can also try to switch from 120Hz to 80Hz crossover in the subwoofer settings/AV receiver.

    Bonjour, avez-vous constaté lors de la mise sous tension que le caisson émet un petit sifflement au niveau de la plaque d’alimentation à l’arrière ? Merci

      Hello Axel 👋 That sounds like the transformator. To a certain degree they can make a noise sometimes. It’s not a sign of damage. But if it annoys you too much you might want to contact SVS. I haven’t heard any whistle on my unit.

    Hello there. I have a question about the 3 band parametric EQ on the app. Does it really get rid of the peaks? For instance my room is terrible, there's a +10 db gain from 35 to 47 hz that's unbearable. Will that EQ solve this problem?

    • @SamDansCouch
      @SamDansCouch  Год назад +1

      Hello Rant! The EQ is going to help with the peaks. Of course it can’t do wonders and a better placement of the subwoofer is preferred. But this is not always possible. I put my sub where it fits best as well without painstakingly finding the one perfect corner of my also not perfect room. The thing that helped my room most was DiracLive room correction, which does a good job taking care of problems like this. But if you dont have room correction I’d definitely give the EQ a try and smoothen over those big humps.
