Similar thing happened to me. I used to let my toenails get just a tiny bit too long before cutting them, and they started to hit against the front of my shoes. The base of my nail started to turn black and calloused because of the trauma.
Any nail salon will acrylic buildup any gnarly nail for $5 each. Ive lost both big toe nails as an athlete many times.. go for a pedicure then ask them to build up the nail..will look totally normal afterwards
@@roberthudson1959 Mine did but I still got 3 or 4 millimeters of nail attached to the nail bed at the base so maybe that's what saved me. Also, it took 2 years of daily care to get my nail back to normal. I saw 1 dermatologist and 2 podiatrists and they did nothing at all, they told me to live the rest of my life like this so I took care of it myself.
The nail matrix has been damaged, so even if it is removed it will re-grow just the same. Therefore, removal and destroying the matrix with a chemical to stop it from ever growing again is the only cure.
Sock debris is common with dystrophic nails. You and you fellow podiatrists should take a lesson from dentists and recommend flossing under free edge of nails like they do between teeth.
Finally!!! I haven’t seen a toenail cutting video from you guys in so long I thought you stopped😂😂😂
Always enjoy your videos. Why didn't you trim his other toenails? Especially the middle toenail, it looked to long & had a spit in it.
🦶💚🦶💚🦶
Why weren’t his other toenails clipped?
Hey, you didn't trim the big callus on the side of his toe, and you didn't cut the rest of his toenails. I feel ripped off. Lol😂
Right? And not cleaning out that one corner is killing me!
😮 I feel the same way. Deprived of a good all around nail care routine 😮
I agree!
What about the other toe nails.

If he doesn't start trimming those other nails regularly he's gonna have more like this bad one.
Very clean job! I enjoyed watching
His toenails were driving me crazy! lol
Hello Dr. Freels, dont you fret about your hair girl , you could be bald and still be the most beautiful in my eyes❤
Oh those nails! Should have knocked the rest off.
You should make videos every day 😊
Why didn’t you trim or clip the rest of his nails?

And while he was there you could have cut his other nails…. Doh!
She should have educated him in regular mail trimmings on all nails. It’s obvious he’s not doing regular care.
Good job beautiful always
Nice job.👍🏼
Why did you leave the other nails unclipped? I expect better from you.
I would have thought, all his nails would have been trimmed also. 🤷♀️
Long time no see
After the treatment will the nail grow back normally?
Probably not.

Funny how my reply got deleted my RUclips bot. 😂😂😂
Just curious what will be the grounds to remove the whole nail after an injury like that

Look at the other nails. 😷
