I feel sorry for Franky's crate of Cola that's just been sitting in the background for a few weeks now. We got a funny shot of heart eyes when he saw the real Vegapunk, but so far, it's really not the kind of Franky centric arc we thought it would be, at least not yet.
@@Jinx_Skeel not likely. In combat Franky is a supporting member like robin, Chopper, Usopp and nami. Even as strong as Jinbe is he's still not a main fighter. It's luffy takes out the biggest bad Zoro, and Sanji take out the next two and the rest are delay fighters or take out sub bosses.
Yeah, since Egghead is moving very fast, I think Franky and Vegapunk will have their moments after the arc, or at least once they have gotten away from the battle about to break out.

I would really like it if Kizaru came to egghead with other marines. It's been far too long since we've seen the Navy and its many interesting characters.
I don't know why everyone is missing this, but Vegapunk didn't say the Nika Fruit wasn't in the records, just that the Gum Gum fruit wasn't...which makes perfect sense since the WG made up the name. VP was reacting to hearing Gomu Gomu, which is why he said it wasn't a real Fruit. As for the second part, VP was talking about his knowledge from the first encyclopedia, and if the WG tried to cover up and add it later, it would of course be in later versions by necessity.
The Nika fruit obviously isn’t listed in the Encyclopedia as relating to Nika in any way. If that’s what you’re teaching at, stop exerting yourself with nonsense. The government would never put it in any official book like the encyclopedia.

Vegapunk was talking about all of the books. The official translation makes that very clear. The scans kind of went rogue and did their own thing here only mentioning one old encyclopedia.
So someone else pointed this out on TikTok, but the MADS ship design looks extremely similar to the ship from Franks’s flashback where he talks about how he rebuilt himself after getting hit by the sea train. Seems almost like the cover stories might be hinting at the possibility that Vegapunk played a more direct role in building Franky than we initially realized. Perhaps Franky found some of Vegapunks early work, and that’s what helped him to rebuild himself.

Not sure the Encyclopedia thing is an inconsistency. The official translation of VP's line says "even in the oldest books on devil fruits, there is no such thing as a gum gum fruit". To me it's suggesting revisionist history (on brand for the WG) to hide any reference to Nika. Edit: meaning the oldest books refer to the fruit's real name, the new books refer to gum gum.
But remember the gorosei said that gomu gomu no mi is a fake name given to that fruit to hide its real power, so its logical it doesn't exist in the old encyclopedia

I have seen numerous speculations about Zoro being the one to take on Kizaru on Egghead. At first, it just doesnt seem right, but if you think about it, Kizaru has been consistently “fighting” yonko 1st commanders (Marco, Ben Beckman, Rayleigh) maybe it actually is time for Zoro.
Also controlled Zoan awakening may be reserved for people whose personalities match that of the Animal their fruit embodies. Eastern Dragons are guardian deities in lore. Kaido is very much not a guardian figure. In Yamato's flashbacks we see a silhouette of Kiado in what could be an uncontrolled awaked state because he seemed to resemble the Beast Jailors of Impel Down.
My personal headcanon on whether kaido was awakened or not was that after luffy turning Gear 5, it pushed kaido to have an incomplete awakening, which could explain why he didn't have a ring but can still explain how he could tell luffys transformation was a mythical zoan. Also, it runs with the theme that all of luffys' enemies in the yonko saga had awakened DF luffy had to defeat.
The fact that Kaido knew about awakenings imo is enough to say he was awakened. Theres no way he knew of a way to power himself up and didnt seek to accomplish it, and no way someone like Doffy was able to do it, but not him

I think we are going to see some genuine dissidence between the Marines and the world government. Kuzan has mentioned that sakazuki wants to create a new world, that doesn't seem to necessarily align with the current one. I kind of wonder if the Marines could eventually turn on the nobles and maybe the reason Kizaru was sent to egghead in the first place was actually to discreetly rescue Vegapunk

Weirdly enough, I am not 100% convinced on how the chips are going to fall allegiance wise for either kizaru or even sakazuki. I know its very unlikely, but I wouldnt dismiss Kizaru's trip to egghead actually being about potentially protecting vegapunk. Sakazuki is clearly not a fan of the elders and how they operate, and his sense of justice so far has been shown as unrelenting, but not necessarily blatantly without reason. I can see a scenario where he for example does not agree that vegapunk did anything wrong. Kizaru/Sakazuki are more like lawful evil to the elders/im/cp0 being chaotic evil and it wouldnt surprise me if they clashed with each other over something like vegapunk.
Yeah, without the context of the Gorosei trying to keep the past hidden, the decision to get rid of Vegapunk would be confusing, to say the least. His knowledge is almost priceless to the WG and the Navy, the vast military power he has created through the seraphim, replicating devil fruits, and his other technological advancements allowed to stay in power even though the world of pirates is becoming more organized and powerful under the yonkos and cross guild. If the admirals weren't told that their intention was to hide the past, which is very likely than this decision must seem pretty stupid to Sakazuki, who is trying to make the Navy as strong as possible. Even from the Gorosei's perspective, this must be a pretty stupid decision as they risk losing the seraphim, his other inventions, and his scientific knowledge. Although that does go to show how vital hiding the past is to them. I think the past holds the knowledge of a power that can overturn the WG so they would rather bite the bullet of losing Vegapunk, so they don't risk defeat.
If sakazuki's absolute justice justifies slaughtering all of the innocent citizens of Ohara then I don't know why he would take an exception to Vegapunk when Vegapunk is actually guilty. Wouldn't be absolute justice.

Oda said in the SBS 45 that the Gomu-gomu no mi has a picture in the encyclopedia, but he never said that there was its name. Maybe the Gomu-gomu is present under another name. Vegapunk only knows the "gomu-gomu" name, not the appearance so we can not tell if he actually saw the fruit in the encyclopedia in another name.

I've never seen kizaru angry or unleash the full potential of his haki or devil fruit abilities. He also has a vast amount of experience in combat over the years and he has alot more than Luffy by far even if Luffy has gear 5th. Kizaru's powers exceed Lucci by a very wide gap as kizaru literally blows up ships with a single hit while smiling. Kizaru speed and power will exponentially increase to ridiculous heights when he starts to fight seriously. The battle will be totally worth it as an admiral can fight for 10 days straight. I am an admiral fan. Just don't under estimate the admirals.
Tell me how. When have you seen Kizaru go ext-diff to the extent Luffy has, or fight other Yonkos. All he has done was aid the Warlords and other Admirals (and 50K Marines) in jumping an old weakened Whitebeard who can barely stand on his own and is holding back even then.

i think the "not in old encyclopedias" thing is likely that the world government removed all information of the nika fruit, but then later leaders realized that making lies about it would be better, thus its not in the older encyclopedias. that or vegapunk is using an ancient encyclopedia from the void century

@@cliftonandrus2761personally i think devil fruits in general were much more rare and special at the start of the story. think ive heard that oda originally planned to only have a single devil fruit, the gum gum fruit, in the world but changed it before starting the manga. cant say when the switch from gum gum to nika was made, probably pretty early actually. my guess is around 400 when the higher tier enemies were entering the scene. enel was way above luffys league in skypia but the rubber was his hardcounter so it worked out after a lot of struggle

I agree. I interpret that the Gum Gum Fruit isn't in the old ones, but in the new ones. But the Nika Nika is in the old one, but disapears in the new ones. Which is the weird aspect, since it sounds like, the old DF encyclopedias are the accurate ones and the new ones get censored by the WG.
My take on Du Feld sponsoring MADS is that it's philanthropic sleight of hand. A bit of "Look at this good thing I'm doing! I am a good person. Pay no attention to the shady loan shark dealings in the back room over there..."
There are deffinetly some family relations between Du Feld and Crocodile. They look very similar with their long coats, sigars and slick back hair. We also know that Buggy took out a loan from Crocodile. I mean we have a loan shark and a crocodile that gives out loans, there has to be something there
Nice connection. We don't know Crocodile's name so he might be a Feld. And he has very good experience at running undercover or underground organizations. I really think the fruits are not just human desires, but also from others races, creatures or even objects (since all things have a voice, they might have a desire), because no human would desire to be human, so how would Chopper's fruit have come into existence?
My interpretation of Vegapunk's statement about the Gomu Gomu no Mi not being in any of the books was actually referring specifically to the books of old. Although I guess now that I think about it, Vegapunk would undoubtedly notice the rubber fruit being added to modern DF encyclopedias since I'm sure he's read those, too. I just immediately realized the inconsistency and changed my interpretation so that it made sense.
My thoery is that Kizaru is coming to get one of the Gorosei and bring them to egghead so they can control all the Seraphim. I think Akainu knows that Vegapunk will be able to stop CPO from using the seraphim against him. I think at this point it would be a perfect elevation of the tension that signifies we are in the final arc if we finally see one of the gorosei in action. Since they included that the gorosei cant order them through transponder snails they will need to show up to make that line make sense. although another part of my brain thinks kizaru may be secretly a friend of Vegapunk that double crosses the government but im much less keen on that idea.

My theory is that the DF’s were created through an Inherited Will so strong that they became a DF. Like what if Hiriluk’s desire to create the healing Sakura trees was so great, that his spirit possessed a fruit that so his Will could live in past dead. The gum gum fruit was probably added to newer devil fruit books to hide the Nika fruit. Vegapunk does specifically refer to the old devil fruit encyclopedia when saying it has no record
Vegapunk only refers specifically to an old book in the scans. In the official translation he says: "Even in the oldest books of devil fruits, there is no such thing as a gum gum fruit" referring to all books.
My theory for a long time, that I'm gonna stick with until shown otherwise, is Black Beard has a genetic mutations thing going on where he has two sets of organs or of just one. And that one is the appendix, which is where the eaten devil fruit are in part stored within the body in the One Piece universe to keep the user endowed with powers. After White Beard died with the hole in his chest, Black Beard covered him to hide the fact he was reaching into his body to take out his appendix and the devil fruit remains. With his multiple appendixes, and White Beard's death being so recent, he was able to consume it before it had a chance to break down and grow somewhere else in the world. I wonder if Oda had to have his appendix removed early in life and it being labeled a useless vestigial organ, let his imagination run with ideas of what it was used for, and that became part of the One Piece story down the line.

Oda didn't mess up. Vegapunk said the old encyclopedia doesn't have the gum gum fruit. When he revealed the true name in wano, he stated the elders changed the name in order to hide it's truth. And implanted the gum gum fruit into the new encyclopedias. There's no inconsistency.
Considering Sentoumaru called him Uncle, and Sentoumaru claims Vegapunk raised him, I'm of the mind Kizaru is the son or adopted son of Vegapunk and when he sees what happened to Sentoumaru he'll attack Lucci leading to a permanent or even just temporary alliance with the Straw Hats

Ehh I'm pretty sure kizaru is gonna take a professional approach and respect luffys yonko title. The last time they messed with a yonko (whitebeard) is started a huge war that almost leveled marieford. Sazuke isnt a fool and understands his reach. Also with green bulls hot headedness and isso's blatant defiance, kizaru is his top assest over the other two and I'm sure he wouldn't want to lose him at all, so I dont think a fight with an admiral will happen, but this is oda story and he can do what he wants, so we will have to wait and see, kizaru might just be cleaning up CP0's mess cuz tbh lucci is way out of line with is actual orders at this point
Yeah, the marines represent justice. CP0 cannot just kill Vegapunk. There must be proof he was helping the enemies and a fair trial. As a sherif stereotype, Kizaru would probably first go for the greatest criminal in this case, the murderer Lucci.
Notice how Lucci has a dark cloud type aura around him in his awakened form? Luffy has the same in his awakend state! As well as Kaido! Almost like a vest or a scarf but it is a very specific piece of cosmetic that we haven’t seen on many other characters….

I think if anything Kizaru is going after Rob Lucci if the later inflicted serious injury to Sentomaru. Sentomaru calls Kizaru uncle, so that might be a reason for Kizaru to go against CP0 rather than the Straw Hats
The Devil fruit book is easily explained. The old version didn't have Luffy's fruit, while the newer version's do. The older versions tried to act like it didn't exist, when that didn't work. They simply added it back in, but under a different name, with photo's and powers. A simple informational redirect, based on what they knew of its powers.
The light gloves seem like a really weird addition to me. They let the wearer touch/hurt Kizaru, but... isn't that already what Armament Haki does? If this is the moment where the Straw Hats prove they can take on an Admiral and win, having to rely on a gadget someone else invented kind of undercuts that point imo.
@@celsoharos3129 That makes no sense. Zoro nearly died against an opponent that an Admiral beat casually, and that was despite that character getting help from Sanji's opponent in that arc too. Both Sanji & Zoro combined are obviously not enough. Luffy is the only one with any chance of defeating an Admiral, and it would be with a lot of difficulty and injury.
About the BB's two devil fruits; maybe he learned how to make HIS dreams come trough with all the research he's done on the fruits (remember his big talk about dreams to Luffy) and that somehow involves two devil fruits being consumed by him, meaning he his not living two different dreams of other people, but his single one. I know this is kinda vague and all, and that you can shoehorn a lot of explanations when 'dreams,' 'dimensions', and stuff are involved, but so far this is everything we got.
I think that nika originally had a burning desire to liberate the world either through trauma or a loss and to be able to reach anyone in need and stop anyone in his way no matter what
3:37 - "we haven't had a lot of time to, like, goof around and just explore the world like the good old days" I do kind of miss that about modern One Piece, a lot of stuff does feel like it's rushing things a bit.
I really don't see kizaru messing with the strawhats. I do think the top big 3 will be ready for sure but I think kizaru will let egg head go after teaching Lucci a lesson for messing with his underling. This will also show just how powerful the Admirals still are after he clearly washes Lucci badly showing an early awakened devil fruit and some haki still isn't a enough to take down a seasoned admiral.

I'm waiting for Kizaru to have some big twist that we're not expecting. The man is a total mystery and Oda could do almost anything with him. If it turns out that Kizaru is actually a traitor and has been working for someone other than the Navy/WG this entire time, it wouldn't surprise me.
Not having the gomu gomu no mi in the oldest versions of the encyclopedia makes sense because the world government gave the nika model fruit that name in more recent versions of the encyclopedia. It's likely that at first the world government just straight removed the nika model from the encyclopedias right away, but later decided that they wanted to find it to make use of it so they gave it a new name and purpose to disguise it.

My interpretation was that Vegapunk has an old version of the encyclopedia and has never heard of the fruit because it isn't in his. The newer versions of the encyclopedia would have been altered to include the Gomu Gomu no mi because the world government made it up as a coverup of the Nika Nika no mi.
But vega punk said it wasnt in the ancient devil fruit encyclopedia, oda saying it was in a book likely just means it was in a more recent one when the government had created that new name to hide it

People seem to forget that no one seems to know about the Yami Yami Fruit of Blackbeard's *,BUT* Blackbeard sought it out specifically. This implies that the Yami Yami fruit is not in the current encyclopedia, if true, he has to have an older version as he knew the fruit on sight.

I've been thinking this for a while now and this has strengthen my theory about the one piece. The one piece (as a treasure) is a page of a book that tells the story of Luffy and his world. The story itself is basically a break of the forth wall. Laugh tale is called like that because wouldn't you laugh if you knew that your life is written by someone else? That you are part of a child's book? The reaction of Roger once he found it, Luffys power breaking reality and now Vegapunks commentary about the devil fruits and how they are the realization of the dreams of people from other dimension (us). I imagine that the end of one piece will be pretty much like Interstella 5555 and that would actually make me very happy. Instead of a rotating disk on a child's bedroom we will likely see a book closing near a bed, it's cover will have a pirate flag and a kid (us) will be placidly sleeping dreaming of infinite adventures at the sea.

I'd assume that if vegapunk's encyclopaedia was an early edition of devil fruits, the nika fruit was listed in it and not the gomu fruit. In later editions the nika's name and info was changed but not deleted so that if someone did eat it, they would think that they only had rubber powers 🤔
I feel the line of " living the dreams of those before them" equates to them carrying the will of the fruits' previous users. Example found in Nika wanting to free the world, and attempting it over and over again through the Nika Nika fruit
Everyone always goes on about the jacket fruit. The desire that created it was probably along the lines of "I want the powers of that person there." Now if they said "I want to be someone else." That would result in the clone-clone fruit, saying a specific individual would allow the user to take over someone.
I imagine the story of jacket jacket fruit goes like this 2 brothers are trapped on an winter island and without any thing to warm them up that's when one of the brother wishes to be a Jacket to help keep his brother warm or something like this sad story

No he doesn't. The scans HEAVILY paraphrased that section. In the official translation, Vegapunk is referring to all of the books. He doesn't even mention an encylopedia specifically. The scans just did their own thing here.
I made a theory that kizaru is really a good guy. He’s against the navy. He’s always slow to do things.Whenever he has the chance to do something he finds something to distract him to keep from killing luffy, white beard and ors. The way I understood the desire thing, is not that an individual say dreamed about a certain power, but rather an accumulation of people over time. For example maybe there was a region that really needed fire... and their desire eventually lead to a fruit with that power. This would explain why the fruit keeps regenerating when the user dies, its because people still dream of it. The individual is just one of many. It could also mean that everytime the fruit keeps regenerating it can change or adapt, depending on what people want... hence it "evolves".
Another expansion on the Sabaody parallels: Sabaody was the start of the final saga pre-timeskip. Egghead is the start of the final saga post-timeskip. Luffy said in Amazon Lily they will surpass Kuma, Sentomaru and Kizaru. Lots of cool stuff going on here

I don't know why everyone is missing this, but Vegapunk didn't say the Nika Fruit wasn't in the records, just that the Gum Gum fruit wasn't...which makes perfect sense since the WG made up the name. VP was reacting to hearing Gomu Gomu, which is why he said it wasn't a real Fruit. As for the second part, VP was talking about his knowledge from the first encyclopedia, and if the WG tried to cover up and add it later, it would of course be in later versions by necessity.
The Nika fruit obviously isn’t listed in the Encyclopedia as relating to Nika in any way. If that’s what you’re teaching at, stop exerting yourself with nonsense. The government would never put it in any official book like the encyclopedia.

So someone else pointed this out on TikTok, but the MADS ship design looks extremely similar to the ship from Franks’s flashback where he talks about how he rebuilt himself after getting hit by the sea train. Seems almost like the cover stories might be hinting at the possibility that Vegapunk played a more direct role in building Franky than we initially realized. Perhaps Franky found some of Vegapunks early work, and that’s what helped him to rebuild himself.

Not sure the Encyclopedia thing is an inconsistency. The official translation of VP's line says "even in the oldest books on devil fruits, there is no such thing as a gum gum fruit". To me it's suggesting revisionist history (on brand for the WG) to hide any reference to Nika.

I have seen numerous speculations about Zoro being the one to take on Kizaru on Egghead. At first, it just doesnt seem right, but if you think about it, Kizaru has been consistently “fighting” yonko 1st commanders (Marco, Ben Beckman, Rayleigh) maybe it actually is time for Zoro.

My personal headcanon on whether kaido was awakened or not was that after luffy turning Gear 5, it pushed kaido to have an incomplete awakening, which could explain why he didn't have a ring but can still explain how he could tell luffys transformation was a mythical zoan. Also, it runs with the theme that all of luffys' enemies in the yonko saga had awakened DF luffy had to defeat.
Maybe him being drunk so often was a foreshadow that Kaido had an incomplete awakening where he couldn't completely control himself.

I think we are going to see some genuine dissidence between the Marines and the world government. I kind of wonder if the Marines could eventually turn on the nobles and maybe the reason Kizaru was sent to egghead in the first place was actually to discreetly rescue Vegapunk

Weirdly enough, I am not 100% convinced on how the chips are going to fall allegiance wise for either kizaru or even sakazuki. I know its very unlikely, but I wouldnt dismiss Kizaru's trip to egghead actually being about potentially protecting vegapunk. Sakazuki is clearly not a fan of the elders and how they operate, and his sense of justice so far has been shown as unrelenting, but not necessarily blatantly without reason. I can see a scenario where he for example does not agree that vegapunk did anything wrong. Kizaru/Sakazuki are more like lawful evil to the elders/im/cp0 being chaotic evil and it wouldnt surprise me if they clashed with each other over something like vegapunk.
Yeah, without the context of the Gorosei trying to keep the past hidden, the decision to get rid of Vegapunk would be confusing, to say the least. His knowledge is almost priceless to the WG and the Navy, the vast military power he has created through the seraphim, replicating devil fruits, and his other technological advancements allowed to stay in power even though the world of pirates is becoming more organized and powerful under the yonkos and cross guild. If the admirals weren't told that their intention was to hide the past, which is very likely than this decision must seem pretty stupid to Sakazuki, who is trying to make the Navy as strong as possible. Even from the Gorosei's perspective, this must be a pretty stupid decision as they risk losing the seraphim, his other inventions, and his scientific knowledge. Although that does go to show how vital hiding the past is to them. I think the past holds the knowledge of a power that can overturn the WG so they would rather bite the bullet of losing Vegapunk, so they don't risk defeat.

Oda said in the SBS 45 that the Gomu-gomu no mi has a picture in the encyclopedia, but he never said that there was its name. Maybe the Gomu-gomu is present under another name. Vegapunk only knows the "gomu-gomu" name, not the appearance so we can not tell if he actually saw the fruit in the encyclopedia in another name.

I've never seen kizaru angry or unleash the full potential of his haki or devil fruit abilities. He also has a vast amount of experience in combat over the years and he has alot more than Luffy by far even if Luffy has gear 5th. Kizaru's powers exceed Lucci by a very wide gap as kizaru literally blows up ships with a single hit while smiling. Kizaru speed and power will exponentially increase to ridiculous heights when he starts to fight seriously. The battle will be totally worth it as an admiral can fight for 10 days straight. I am an admiral fan. Just don't under estimate the admirals.

My interpretation of Vegapunk's statement about the Gomu Gomu no Mi not being in any of the books was actually referring specifically to the books of old. Although I guess now that I think about it, Vegapunk would undoubtedly notice the rubber fruit being added to modern DF encyclopedias since I'm sure he's read those, too. I just immediately realized the inconsistency and changed my interpretation so that it made sense.
My thoery is that Kizaru is coming to get one of the Gorosei and bring them to egghead so they can control all the Seraphim. I think Akainu knows that Vegapunk will be able to stop CPO from using the seraphim against him. I think at this point it would be a perfect elevation of the tension that signifies we are in the final arc if we finally see one of the gorosei in action. Since they included that the gorosei cant order them through transponder snails they will need to show up to make that line make sense.
although another part of my brain thinks kizaru may be secretly a friend of Vegapunk that double crosses the government but im much less keen on that idea.

My theory is that the DF’s were created through an Inherited Will so strong that they became a DF. Like what if Hiriluk’s desire to create the healing Sakura trees was so great, that his spirit possessed a fruit that so his Will could live in past dead. Like there is a Sakura Sakura fruit thanks to Hiriluk’s strong inherited will post death.

The gum gum fruit was probably added to newer devil fruit books to hide the Nika fruit. Vegapunk does specifically refer to the old devil fruit encyclopedia when saying it has no record
Vegapunk only refers specifically to an old book in the scans. In the official translation he says: "Even in the oldest books of devil fruits, there is no such thing as a gum gum fruit" referring to all books.
My theory for a long time, that I'm gonna stick with until shown otherwise, is Black Beard has a genetic mutations thing going on where he has two sets of organs or of just one. And that one is the appendix, which is where the eaten devil fruit are in part stored within the body in the One Piece universe to keep the user endowed with powers.
After White Beard died with the hole in his chest, Black Beard covered him to hide the fact he was reaching into his body to take out his appendix and the devil fruit remains. With his multiple appendixes, and White Beard's death being so recent, he was able to consume it before it had a chance to break down and grow somewhere else in the world.
I wonder if Oda had to have his appendix removed early in life and it being labeled a useless vestigial organ, let his imagination run with ideas of what it was used for, and that became part of the One Piece story down the line.

But Liam, the issue with the gomu gomu fruit being in the current encyclopedia but not in older versions would not be an inconsistency. It would make the most of sense since it is supposed to not exist for real. Just made up to cover the real effects of the hito hito one
I think the bit on the Gum Gum not in the old encyclopaedias is due to translation. Only because not long ago the elders also mentioned the name being changed which would be consistent

And the only point I'm making is that the bit on the name not being in any encyclopedia is likely a misntranslation, as we have a recent chapter that indicates it is based on the WG changing the name.

Oda didn't mess up. Vegapunk said the old encyclopedia doesn't have the gum gum fruit. When he revealed the true name in wano, he stated the elders changed the name in order to hide it's truth. And implanted the gum gum fruit into the new encyclopedias. There's no inconsistency.
Considering Sentoumaru called him Uncle, and Sentoumaru claims Vegapunk raised him, I'm of the mind Kizaru is the son or adopted son of Vegapunk and when he sees what happened to Sentoumaru he'll attack Lucci leading to a permanent or even just temporary alliance with the Straw Hats

The last time they messed with a yonko (whitebeard) is started a huge war that almost leveled marieford. Sazuke isnt a fool and understands his reach. The Devil fruit book is easily explained.
The old version didn't have Luffy's fruit, while the newer version's do.
The older versions tried to act like it didn't exist, when that didn't work. They simply added it back in, but under a different name, with photo's and powers.

The light gloves seem like a really weird addition to me. They let the wearer touch/hurt Kizaru, but... isn't that already what Armament Haki does? If this is the moment where the Straw Hats prove they can take on an Admiral and win, having to rely on a gadget someone else invented kind of undercuts that point imo.
The photonic gloves are obviously going to be used by Ussop to fold Kizaru.

@@celsoharos3129 That makes no sense. Zoro nearly died against an opponent that an Admiral beat casually, and that was despite that character getting help from Sanji's opponent in that arc too. Both Sanji & Zoro combined are obviously not enough.
Luffy is the only one with any chance of defeating an Admiral, and it would be with a lot of difficulty and injury.
About the BB's two devil fruits; maybe he learned how to make HIS dreams come trough with all the research he's done on the fruits (remember his big talk about dreams to Luffy) and that somehow involves two devil fruits being consumed by him, meaning he his not living two different dreams of other people, but his single one.
I know this is kinda vague and all, and that you can shoehorn a lot of explanations when 'dreams,' 'dimensions', and stuff are involved, but so far this is everything we got.
I think that nika originally had a burning desire to liberate the world either through trauma or a loss and to be able to reach anyone in need and stop anyone in his way no matter what

I do kind of miss that about modern One Piece, a lot of stuff does feel like it's rushing things a bit.
I really don't see kizaru messing with the strawhats. I do think the top big 3 will be ready for sure but I think kizaru will let egg head go after teaching Lucci a lesson for messing with his underling. This will also show just how powerful the Admirals still are after he clearly washes Lucci badly showing an early awakened devil fruit and some haki still isn't a enough to take down a seasoned admiral.
admirals do not fight as much once they get that rank tho lucci and luffy have prob been fighting a ton

I'm waiting for Kizaru to have some big twist that we're not expecting. The man is a total mystery and Oda could do almost anything with him. If it turns out that Kizaru is actually a traitor and has been working for someone other than the Navy/WG this entire time, it wouldn't surprise me.
Not having the gomu gomu no mi in the oldest versions of the encyclopedia makes sense because the world government gave the nika model fruit that name in more recent versions of the encyclopedia. It's likely that at first the world government just straight removed the nika model from the encyclopedias right away, but later decided that they wanted to find it to make use of it so they gave it a new name and purpose to disguise it.

I interpreted Vegapunk's line about the Gomu Gomu no mi not being in the old devil fruit encyclopedia differently. My interpretation was that Vegapunk has an old version of the encyclopedia and has never heard of the fruit because it isn't in his. The newer versions of the encyclopedia would have been altered to include the Gomu Gomu no mi because the world government made it up as a coverup of the Nika Nika no mi.
But vega punk said it wasnt in the ancient devil fruit encyclopedia, oda saying it was in a book likely just means it was in a more recent one when the government had created that new name to hide it

People seem to forget that no one seems to know about the Yami Yami Fruit of Blackbeard's *,BUT* Blackbeard sought it out specifically. This implies that the Yami Yami fruit is not in the current encyclopedia, if true, he has to have an older version as he knew the fruit on sight.

I've been thinking this for a while now and this has strengthen my theory about the one piece. The one piece (as a treasure) is a page of a book that tells the story of Luffy and his world. The story itself is basically a break of the forth wall. Laugh tale is called like that because wouldn't you laugh if you knew that your life is written by someone else? That you are part of a child's book? The reaction of Roger once he found it, Luffys power breaking reality and now Vegapunks commentary about the devil fruits and how they are the realization of the dreams of people from other dimension (us). I imagine that the end of one piece will be pretty much like Interstella 5555 and that would actually make me very happy. Instead of a rotating disk on a child's bedroom we will likely see a book closing near a bed, it's cover will have a pirate flag and a kid (us) will be placidly sleeping dreaming of infinite adventures at the sea.

I'd assume that if vegapunk's encyclopaedia was an early edition of devil fruits, the nika fruit was listed in it and not the gomu fruit. In later editions the nika's name and info was changed but not deleted so that if someone did eat it, they would think that they only had rubber powers 🤔

I feel the line of " living the dreams of those before them" equates to them carrying the will of the fruits' previous users. Example found in Nika wanting to free the world, and attempting it over and over again through the Nika Nika fruit

Everyone always goes on about the jacket fruit. The desire that created it was probably along the lines of "I want the powers of that person there." Now if they said "I want to be someone else." That would result in the clone-clone fruit, saying a specific individual would allow the user to take over someone.
I imagine the story of jacket jacket fruit goes like this 2 brothers are trapped on an winter island and without any thing to warm them up that's when one of the brother wishes to be a Jacket to help keep his brother warm or something like this sad story

I made a theory that kizaru is really a good guy. He’s against the navy. He’s always slow to do things.Whenever he has the chance to do something he finds something to distract him to keep from killing luffy, white beard and ors. I think we may see kizaru will show his true color. And that’s the guys nephew who lucci just tried to killl. Sooooooooo kizaru gone have some issues.
The way I understood the desire thing, is not that an individual say dreamed about a certain power, but rather an accumulation of people over time. For example maybe there was a region that really needed fire... and their desire eventually lead to a fruit with that power. This would explain why the fruit keeps regenerating when the user dies, its because people still dream of it. The individual is just one of many.
It could also mean that everytime the fruit keeps regenerating it can change or adapt, depending on what people want... hence it "evolves".

Another expansion on the Sabaody parallels: Sabaody was the start of the final saga pre-timeskip. Egghead is the start of the final saga post-timeskip. Luffy said in Amazon Lily they will surpass Kuma, Sentomaru and Kizaru. Lots of cool stuff going on here
