I definitely think Luffy will fight him one on one and defeat him. He has one of the most ridiculously OP devil fruits and it's the perfect opportunity to showcase Gear 5 pushing the limits of what is possible in a fight
There is no such thing as kizaru not taking ANY fight seriously. This is shounen, characters have their weird quirks. This is kizaru's. He has taken the fight against rayleigh seriously, so no, except for his admiral level powers, he is not hiding anything godly like some people make it out to be.

I feel like Luffy would have forgiven Kizaru already, it reminds me of the “I m glad I met you guy here, now I m stronger, scene he had with Blueno of CP9. He wasn’t angry, they took Robin and caused them so much pain but in the end, when he was sure he was gonna take her back and end all of this, he said he was glad all of that happened. Yes Kizaru being there delayed them by 2 years and split the party, but had that not happened they wouldn’t have survived a single day in the New World.

a rematch against the straw hats vs Kizaru will be really interesting, mostly because on Sabaody they absolutely got destroyed, but now they hwve really grown to be really strong pirates.

Luffy at this point is much stronger than kizaru, he prolly is stronger even than akainu since he somehow beat kaido, however we dont know about gorosei saturn's capabilities so we dont know how this is gonna go down, this will prolly be a stalemate and will inform marines at wg how dangerous luffy had become, + the joyboy thing, WG might seriously have to hunt luffy
I lost my 99.5 year old grandma this month, so this chapter really got to me. Like Garp she was such a strong presence and in a pillar within her community and regarded as a hero to those she impacted. She did everything she could to set up the next generation by building a solid foundation for me and the community.
Maybe she had a crush on garp and when he died she lost her will to live. 😊
You raise a good point about being hard for him to be a "Joy Boy" when he is so angry. I have been thinking about how he would look if truly angry in 5th Gear for awhile. I feel like he would look a lot like in the gear 5 impact fame, where he is sort of indistinct and liquid. With that gaping smile and hollow, empty eyes. I think it would be something terrifying to see.
Not gonna lie, seeing Garp absolutely dunk on the Blackbeard Pirates at Hachinosu with the quality of the anime as of late has me way more excited than I am for Gear 5 in the anime lol
Doesn't Moria literally state that if the owner dies, the shadow dies too? Like, thats the whole reason he tossed people out of Thriller Bark as opposed to killing them. Also, the Blackbeard crew never wanted Moria's fruit - they never went after it, unlike Absalom's, and they were just content on taking his fruit when Moria came to save Absalom.
That could still happen and would explain why Aokiji froze Garp, to keep him alive but make him unable to do anything while his shadow is stolen.
If I remember correctly during marineford he took people's shadows and used them during daylight so the vampire weaknesses was briefly retconned. So who knows at this point Oda might have changed his mind on how the rules work. That or they're still the same and that was an oversight I guess we'll see.

I changed my thoughts. I now think that Saturn will first negotiate with luffy if luffy doesn't accept his condition then MAYBE we could get an all out war between strawhats+vegapunk vs marines and at the end Blackbeard might come in , to get the scraps of war. With pudding, he can get info from Saturn's memory.

I think about the 100 ships, straw hats grandfleet may arrive at egghead because now egghead is mentioned as luffy's stronghold. But other possibility is that the revolutionary armies may arrive because : 1. Sabo needs to clear Luffy about Cobra's death and tell him that Vivi is also D. and 2. One of the highest authority of the world government, an elder star is out in open. So may be the Revs may not want to miss this opportunity. Then maybe Dragon takes on Saturn and Luffy will complete his another milestone of defeating an Admiral.

Jokes aside Blackbeard getting Yorke i was thinking about ages ago, i even thought maybe Dragon kidnapping Saturn was a good option, but the thought of Blackbeard getting Saturn could actually be a really good idea because he wants to be king recognised by the WG having a Gorosei might be massive. Pudding changing Saturn's memories into thinking he is a part of the crew automatically gives BB the Seraphim, and could the Gorosei be aware of the poneglyph language???
The Moriah thing with Rocks shadow could be a thing, Blackbeard wanted Boa's DF right which Boa said to BB that she couldn't un-petrify a previous user's doing, which i think might have been false just saving her ass, but if Rocks was petrified his statue would cast a shadow would it not. could he maybe have tried testing Moriah DF to do that, hence why he went after Boa instead.

Yeah same I can’t possibly see Luffy choosing to ignore it this time. He’ll have his full crew and possibly even Vegapunk with him. So the Blackbeard confrontation looks to be happening sooner rather than later.
The thought of finally getting a full fight against an admiral is so exciting, not to mention the possibility of him going down. I know that we just beat a Yonko, but the admirals still hold that prestige, we've never seen one completely beaten on panel.

He attacked luffy when escaping in marineford, was way more active in damagin whitebeards pirate than aokiji etc... remember is a shonen, the line between good guys and bad guys is clear. About shadows and Moria's fruit:
It was explicitly stated in the Thriller Bark arc that the shadow's owner needs to stay alive, this is why they didn't kill anybody and took the risk of letting them go back to fight

To be honest I think it's gonna hurt Luffy when he finds out about garp but I think it's a great set up for the new roger/garp team up with koby. Also I think luffy is only half the key needed to open the door to a new world and koby is the other half. Both of them are just as important as the other and are both needed to guide the world to new beginnings.

My thought would be a similar reaction to Ace, although this information would probably not be known until the Vegapunks are safe with Saul or with Dragon. But I could see both Koby and Luffy making their way to Hachinosu at the same time.

If Black Lightning is a trademark of C. Haki, then that means Bartolomeo blocked it with his barrier. The King Punch features a lot of black lightning. Which raises questions.
Also, Brook has black lightning around him in Thriller Bark, when he attacks Oars. I know it's just a combo with Nami, but it might be the first time it was done.

Couple of new headcannons
#1 after Luffy vs Blackbeard for me is now Angryboy vs Serial Milkers
2# Luffy must have taken a Galaxy fist or attack like that as a child from garp to be afraid of him
i am more curious about saturn, lets see how strong he is
don't think he is strong enough to beat luffy after all they are afraid of the fruit so it means that luffy has infinite potential!
They pulled up to have a tea party actually, so they can discuss berserk
if you think about it, post time skip follows the same storyline like pre timeskip, just on a bigger scale. Now we have sabaody v2, and if oda is taking out 3 billion berry bounties, what if luffy will beats kizaru, but saturn will take advantage of this situation and do something like capturing luffy, which will be the trigger for the final war(like marineford). Also, if post ts really follows the same route as pre ts, then we would have showdown on egghead as sabaody, then amazon lily( something like elbaf), impel down and final war.
the impeldown part won't repeat again even if the roles are reversed, but imu and friends would most likely imprison him nearby them

I believe they will need the one piece to defeat the elder stars and the big bad Imu. We gonna see a crazy rush to the one piece and then a fight va the big bad once found and knowing luffy when he finds the one piece he will share it “because its not meat” and we might see the competitor ex pirate kings competitor will all align to go for the big bad.

Honestly in terms of yonko I think it’s dope that Luffy cracked one first, but it would be such a power move too just be like “ayo Zoro, sanji go slap that admiral” and then just being like “K” it would really show that they stand on they’re own ground aside from they’re captain, and even Kizara would probably say “heyyy that’s not up too you” only for Zoro and sanji too completely hold him back, showing the complete 180 of nothing going they’re way in sabaody, too being able to leave everything in his crews hands so he can take care of Saturn.

I think from a writing perspective, gear 5 needs to be humbled in some way to show that the story still has stakes and Luffy isn't invincible. Maybe Luffy takes down Kizaru, but then gets defeated by Saturn and the straw hats grab unconscious Luffy and flee
Saturn shouldn't be THAT strong though. Jesus Christ if all 5 Gorosei are stronger than an Admiral then there is no hope. Creating tension shouldn't break the story, that's a bad recipe.

Except even in gear 5 is Luffy not invincible. Back when he was fighting kaido sure at the start he felt untouchable, but kaido regained his bearings for a moment and then immediately started equaling gear 5.
Lucci is just that far down compared to Luffy now
From a writing perspective...Gear 5 shouldn't have been revealed this early.

It's great to know that after about 4 months, we will return to Egghead in the next chapter. But if the Navy Fleet are truly there, then I do wonder exactly how Luffy & the others could contact reinforcements unless the Grand Fleet, the Kuja Pirates, and/or the Revolutionary Army were to show up in a Jinbe fashion just when all hope seems lost for them.

I believe what has been said before, the next stop is the moon. there will be a clash between the strawhats and the marines but before a full on fight brakes out and before a victor can be decided the strawhats will escape the inescapable siege and go UP

The BB pirates have potentially just made a big mistake. Garp has a lot of connections. A lot of powerful people who actually care about him and love him. So let's go down the list here.
It isn't a question of if, but when Luffy hears about this. I honestly believe he will be absolutely furious with Black Beard. I highly doubt that he doesn't know that Black Beard is one of the biggest reasons for why the events of Marineford took place the way they did and I doubt Luffy has forgotten about that. The time of when he hears about this is not something I can say, but if it's after his fight with Shanks ( a fight that I think will probably end in a draw) he will immediately express his desire to save Garp. This could also potentially be where we see a change in Luffy. Instead of just wanting to beat up BB, it's very possible that he will intend to kill him or maybe not. I do know that this will be the angriest will ever see him. Shanks will absolutely go with Luffy, not just because he likes Luffy, but also because he has his own little score to settle with BB.
Koby will obviously be wanting to save Garp. So, he his going. However, he won't be alone. He will have SWORD with him and more importantly, he will have Sengoku with him. If anyone thinks that Sengoku is just gonna sit around while his best friend is in trouble, then you're insane. Sengoku will be livid about this and he will bring the pain for this. Smoker will also be coming along as well as he has a lot of respect for Garp. Akainu will probably forbid him from going, but Smoker won't care. He will not only bring his crew of Marines, but any other Marines that feel similarly. Chances are, that Koby and Luffy meet each other before they get to BB's island and they are going to agree to work together. Sengoku will note how similar this all looks. In Luffy's place he sees an image of Roger and in Koby's place he will see an image of Garp when they agreed to join forces to defeat the Rocks pirates. However, he will note that the difference here is that Luffy and Kobby are actually friends coming together to save someone they love, instead of just because they have the same enemy. He will likely smile and say something about how the future looks bright for these young ones.
Dragon and Sabo will hear about this and will absolutely go to fight BB and his crew. Garp is Dragon's father and I'm willing to bet that Dragon has immense amount of respect and love for him. Dragon would never question Garp's integrity or his intentions. He knows his father is a force for good. He merely disagrees about being part of the WG to make the necessary change to bring about freedom and equality for everyone. He'll also want to pay BB back for the attack he did on the original hideout. Also, he likely knows his son is going to be there and will want to help him. Sabo will be going because of Luffy. Luffy was already hurt when Ace died and won't allow his brother to be harmed in the same way again. Sabo is going to help his brother this time and save Garp.
Boa Hancock has obvious reasons for going. BB's attack on her people and her home is more than enough already. Now add in the fact that she knows that Garp is Luffy's grandfather AND still remembers Marineford. She will be going to help the one person she loves most of all in the world and save him from having to experience the same level of pain he had with Ace's death. She saw how devastated Luffy was after that. He was almost broken. She won't let that happen again.
I know Marco just helped with Wano, but honestly it makes sense for him to come back here. I imagine he will want to make BB pay for what he did to his father. Chances are, he will track down the old WB crew and assemble them one last time to fight BB. This time however, they will have all the people I stated above helping, so they won't be alone. This crew's motivation is obviously centered around revenge.
These are all the people I could think of off the top of my head. So, as you can see, this has the very real potential to backfire and bite Black Beard on the ass. If this happens, there is no way for him to win. None. Period. He will lose and die. Thank you for coming to long winded TED talk of how this could turn out to be very bad for Black Beard! Lol

Marines are very fluctuating that I treat them like clay. They change shape at every situation.
The Blackbeard Pirates are good at running up and jumping the ops. They will get all hands on deck just to fight one person if need be. LOL
I'm still hoping that Kuzan is like a double agent. Otherwise I feel like he's a very weakly written character. A character as idealistic as he was throwing away those ideals completely over a single defeat would be very hard to accept for me. Especially in a series where willpower and ideals are so core to the narrative. It really would just make Fujitora, a side character in comparison, just a better Kuzan. I want to just trust Oda, but I'm really starting to worry. That being said even if it devalues him as a character it's only one character in a sea of hundreds so I won't be that upset, just feel like it's wasteful.
I doubt Kuzan will just be straight up bad from now on. He's been way too well written for that so far, he's definitely a morally grey character but ultimately he did spare Saul, he spared Luffy. Even if he's truly with Blackbeard he's gotta have some goal in mind.

Remember that there's still somebody that we've not seen for a while. Remember Gecko Moria who came to Blackbeard's island, looking for Absalon, only to discover he got killed and his devil fruit stolen by Shiriyu, and was then "kindly offered" to join the crew?
And I'm pretty sure everybody knows where Ace's grave is.
So can you imagine Blackbeard digging up Ace's corpse, and then having Moria take away Garp's shadow now that he's immobilized, and then putting his shadow in Ace's corpse?
How can Luffy face against a brother who he last time saw when he died in his arms, and he has his grandpa's power, under the command of Blackbeard?
Even if there was no siege on egghead, or a fight for that matter, with the SHs being there it would still end up being another one of Vegapunk's destroyed labs. I mean Franky single handedly destroyed one already, imagine the whole crew together 😂😂

Zoro fighting Kizaru with Sanji reminds me of Qui Gon and Obi Wan fighting Darth Maul. No real indicators for this even happening, but I do think it’s strange for Oda to bring up a Vegapunk created “light saber” for no reason.

Idk why but I always got the vibe that kizaru was the strongest of the original 3. He was always the hardest to read, and obviously enjoys fighting and killing pirates a lot. Recently it feels like every time kizaru's been brought back up he just gives me an air of menace too him, moreso than I get from any other admiral.

Luffy interacting with Saturn will be interesting, particularly because we instantly know that Luffy will hate Saturn not just for being a Celestial Dragon, but for also being one of their leaders, in fact I feel that in Luffy’s classic gag of not bothering to remember people’s names, he will refer Saturn as “Satan”, cause in Luffy’s mind, “Satan” is of of the people responsible for much of the pain and suffering in this world, including framing Sabo for his crime.
Luffy trained for a decade to get to where he was.. but Coby with zero experience can fend off Yonko commander attacks after only 2.5 years😂😂
