Great video!!
Thank you for your comment
Amazing and impressive. Thank you.
Wow, respect man! Seems like a lot of work, compared to starting over from scratch. But I read your reply below about code issues. I am doing something similar right now to a 80 year old 20x20 with a dirt floor. Keep up the good work.
zMisterT how did it turn out? Fella with his first house could use all the info youd be willing to share
Wow! Shocked and surprised with the amount of work. My first taught why not torn down and make new. Cheaper and way faster. But I've read your comment/reply. Cheers. :-)
Same here I rather keep the old structure intact and as I had responded to, not incur the labor and permit pains going through building a new in another location per what is allowed by the county/town and save money by just repairing and remodeling the old structure "in situ".
Amazing
Thank you thank you for your comment It was a long and tough job
Want to straighten out an old garage that is out of plumb. I think it will be a piece of cake compared to what you got goin on.
Would have been easier with some help
I'm trying to figure out why you bothered to raise the nothing building?
It's all about the location. If I tore it down the new building codes would have made me move it to a new location and take out a 50 year old pecan tree along with other problems.
Not sure you will get a notification for this, but if you do well then here it goes.
Often times I have done or seen such remodeling repair jobs done and the customer paid far less for this and as he told you himself the headaches and pains that comes with permit requirements for relocation to adhere to new codes if its a grandfathered structure. Pay upward of $5,000 or this type of repair or the cost of permits and relocation prep along with materials and new construction labor with the concrete work being a separate cost but adds to the build and spend double to five times as much.
Now ask yourself this, which would be YOUR choice in this type of situation? IMO I rather spend my money on lifting and repair-remodel a perfectly still good sturdy structure.
