@@sam-s6oApparently those are 72 different types of spells... But you know what, they really just need to add 8 or 18 more spirits in the DLCs for that.
I'm so happy to see the Earth Wolf so high on the list. I used him one time and saw his passive and took me until near the end of Ch 3 to switch off it when I went Spellbinder.
Azure Dust has a very fun perk: Erlong won't actually do anything but be vaguely entertained by you turning into a literal fucking rock, and will just stand there as you headbutt your transformation and his poise bar away. Due to Erlongs ability and likelyhood of knocking all other transformations, it makes it the best transformation bar absolutely fucking none for him, because he literally just stops the fight if you go neanderthal and lightly chuckles as you ram into him a dozen times. Every other transformation offends him to his core, but the stone monkey turning into a rock has him going "Understandable, have a nice day"
It’s weird every other transformation he insults it the dead or makes fun of you. But when you transform into azure dust he gets almost “petty” he basically starts saying “detransforms and fight me like man” as if he throwing a trantrum while’s playing smash against his brother. Azure won me that fight
Fun fact about the Stone Monkey, the life saving thread you get in NG+ DOES work while you are him. He'll get right back up with full focus and health. However, it doesn't refill the might bar.
I've gotten so burnt out on not just souls games but hard games as a whole. However I will still watch this because Rusty is entertaining to watch. I will have absolutely no idea what he's talking about but I need something to watch.
Wukong isn't that hard for the most part. I killed most bosses in 1-3 tries. But the harder bosses will still fuck you up, so you might want to stay away from that game until you want to play a hard game again. But it's really great, I can only reccommend it.
@@techdeth I never said I was bad at games I said I'm tired of playing hard ones. I beat almost every boss in SOTE on new game +7 which means a third more health and staggering just doesn't happen. I just want to take it easy for awhile.

If you are able to build up 3 focus points with Yellow Loong transformation, the fully unleashed heavy attack (which can keep going for three times) will deal INSANE damage, like it would wipe half of late game boss health bar. Surprised you didn't talk about this.
Earth Wolf is my favorite spirit, used it 90% of my 3 time runs because: 1- the damage is so good when upgraded. 2- has the best passive in the game IMO, literally never run out of focus points with this i highly recommend it
So many noobs just using Wandering Wight and missing the attack half the time lmao. Meanwhile, Earth Wolf is as fast, staggers into a full knockdown most of the time, and is very accurate.

The Crow diviner is actually one of the best in the game.. It carried all the way until chapter 5 (I have all kinds of chill resistance). The mist that he created are like the second inmmobilization, as long as the enemy stay in there the whole time, you can spam spin attack while gain the qi back in seconds cause they will get frosted. And then it is just infinite immobilization because it will at least frost them twice. All love and please try it urselves :)
Absolutely. Crow diviner is top 10 at minimum. Its biggest drawback (self frost) is countered by an easily craftable item with dirt cheap materials, or 100+ frost resistance through celestial pills. The only reason it isn't indisputably the best spirit in the game imo is that it doesn't physically hit anything, so it doesn't proc the golden set helm. Crow diviner is top 3 for me easily.
Yeah it's not bad It's definitely not as bad as he's saying but he's right there is better options that can charge up just as quick or maybe just a little bit longer if anything ... The falcon hermit, and the aparamana bat .. The bat is great, The only issue is there's no passive attached to it which kind of sucks ... But all three is like having a second immobilize
Ashen Slumber is the best spirit in the game for exactly one thing... Grinding enough sparks to justify actually investing in any other transformation. Just running up to a bunch of spider sacks and exploding over and over pays for other, better transformations eventually.
Mad Tiger got me through the game once i found him. The rest of my playthrough was me trying to find someone better like the Tiger Acolyte, and Gore Eye Doaist until i eventually went to Beetle Commander. But in the end Mad Tiger was ole reliable. Stone Vanguard was great but unlocking that frog made NG+ even easier but it was too easy to miss the rest of the attacks.
Transformation wise i didn’t even consider the other transformations when Yin Tiger and Stone Monkey got into the picture. Best looking and best powers. Yin Tiger helped me beat Yellow Loong Azure dust however was the only way i could beat the Yin Tiger in the first place.
Putting horse guy so low is criminal, he's basically the only one I used late game because using the flame ring was just so good with it, you could manage to pop 4! of his rings off and the lightning hits stagger enemies.
The Lantern Holder is for your farming set. Golden carp, treasure island mask, flora pin thing from the rock merchant and I forgot the other one. Basically gear up, use the ashun slumber transformation at the clusters of cocoon near the jade shattered pond shrine whenever you run into a boss that’s outright kicking your butt.
Crow diviner is top 10 minimum, full stop. It stacks frost insanely quickly, has a low Qi cost when upgraded, and has ridiculous synergy with one of the best sets in the game. Its main drawback (you can frost yourself) is entirely countered by a medicine made from two of the most common materials in wukong. Crow diviner allows you to stunlock any boss in the game, even better than aparajma bat, with a ridiculously low chi cost to boot. Putting it mid I can understand if you haven't toyed around with it much, but putting it at 2nd worst in the game is down right ignorance. Love you and your content Rusty; I been subbed since the early days. However, you done messed up with crow diviner :(
Azure dust is s tier just cause it confuses a certain secret boss where he will stand still like a confused todler instead of instantly shooting his detransform beams😂
37:05 Dark Storm is goated with Jingubang/Golden Loong staff bc you can just build up the 4 focus points transform when ready and carry over the focus to immediately hit with the lightning circle and then detransform so you can do it multiple times a fight. (Sucks you get him so late game tho)
1:52 genuinely the most insane placement for the spirit I used for the whole playthru u can just spam it while getting ur relic back if u spin to win on the enemy also never had trouble getting a freeze it is rather annoying that it slows you down too
Hoarfrost meta is to build three focus points up first then transform. Immediately giving you the biggest possible snow field creation with the ability with a big burst of status then you can keep throwing smaller ones till fully frozen if not already, then heavy and repeat. And umbral abyss is still my favorite transformation for my frost build. I had almost zero problems with every fight my first blind playthrough. (Including all secret bosses)
Wandering Wight makes me think of how often I ended up using Gaki in Nioh 2. My build was basically, "If I gain even 1 point of Amrita, your day is ruined". I used that little gremlin like pocket sand and enjoyed getting every Amrita-procable buff while also healing an absurd amount of health before popping an extraction talisman and busting out the dual-blades.
Strand of life being on the transformation of stone monkey and when u of de-transformation u still keep strand of life active is another reason why its the best, especially on a transformation build.
Day 27 of asking Rusty to rank every enemy in Elden Ring. If you could rank all the weapons, the enemies should be no issue for you. You know you want to do it, I know you want to do it. Don't back away now.
The Dragonfly spirit actually has a quite useful passive if you are wearing the Qi set. Also, the earth Rakshasa is alwways a good option if doing high NG+.
damn, that passive healing from the tree came actually in clutch for the second to last boss of the true ending O.o I came here to find something to hit hard and left with a health battery PS: I think you did the Crow Diviner a little dirty. His aoe effect is might suffer against mobile bosses, but the cost to effectiveness ratio is still insane. Onceyou get the combo going, his field will stack up quite quick and it at the same time a dodge from which you almost can't get staggered out of. Combined with the spin/arrow deflect, you will have an other charge + fully stacked focus before the enemy even gets free from the freeze, so you can break the ice with a 4 points heavy, throw a new ice field and while the enemy is staggered, the freeze will be almost ready to trigger again. The selffreeze is a little annoying, but I was able to handle it relatively well
I did notice the spirits seem to get buffed by raw attack... Or at least, the Dark Iron Staff does it. Turning the giant ball into 6k+ free damage is a good time. Wonder if it can somehow salvage some of these garbage spirits.
Ashen Slumbers main use is with is self destruct, there's a specific spot in chapter 4 (forgot which shrine) where the self destruct makes an insanely fast exp farm
Centipede Guai actually does have one use..the passive movement speed increase. You can make your character almost twice as fast when you pair the right spells, equipment and gourds. What good is this? Farming to collect all the seeds you need because ow its a painful thing to do and this just makes the pain go away faster. Also its just really fun to just drink a gourd and animation cancel with cloud steep with the result being you zooming off at a speed so dumb enemies literally can't hit you. You can almost running through the whole game drinking from checkpoint to check point!
I don't know if you're using the Mother of Flamlings wrong or something but in NG+ she fucks. Ranged attack from 4 flamlings and almost a guarantee burn effect every cast. Does way more damage than the Whight and if you are dealing damage while the spirit is getting hits it melts, one of your boss fights shows that (and it doesn't work on every boss because things made of rocks and metal aren't flammable). Also enemies will target the flamlings instead of you.
A lot of people are spell binder builds. So they only care about the passive. Late game, the damage of the spirit just doesn't matter if a single light attack can crit 800.
ive been using wandering wight the whole game. it's INFURIATING when you miss and you miss a lot. but when it lands it's worth it maybe i'm biased because i spent 5 hours today fighting erlang and 70% of times he dodged wandering wight.
Bosses/enemies in games like this have target lock/projectile lock like a MOFO, so it’s pretty sad when character projectiles can’t have that same target lock
Oh great, now he's ranking the same abilities, skills, and enhancements for other games. Still waiting on Elden Ring Blades of Grass from worst to best...
Immediately got jumpscared in this video (I'm arachnophobic). I just downloaded the game and haven't played yet, so if it's a whole level of that, then that will be a nightmare for me. But maybe it will be like exposure therapy😂😂😂
I feel like some of these Spirits should’ve been full-on transformations, like the Tiger’s Acolyte, the Second Rat Prince, & non-White. You could take their weapons & add them to your Transformation arsenal. Isn’t that how Transformation works in the game?
Lmao not even that. We get monk from the sea transformation and dude doesn't even wield weapon, we just absorb his green yaoguai power thingy. Speaking of full on transformation, non-able would have been a cool full transformation given his barehanded-ness and his air punches.

Wait, the Lingzhi double dips? Holy crap. I didn't know that.
Ashen Slumbers main use is with is self destruct, there's a specific spot in chapter 4 (forgot which shrine) where the self destruct makes an insanely fast exp farm
Non-Able is my go to spirit. I love the stats don’t care about the mana reduction. And bro hasn’t let me down in fights
this is the first video I remember where I've actually laughed multiple times and it not being a meme video 😭
Man. It almost offends me that the Lantern spirit eluded me until goddamn NG+.
Oh god he’s back🎉🎉🎉
I don't know if you're using the Mother of Flamlings wrong or something but in NG+ she fucks.
Will watch this after completing the game for myself
For the point of Non-Able letting you continue your combo after use, Earth Wolf does that too.
I actually like the centipede one mainly just for the running speed buff. The actual spirit is mainly good on bigger ones.
This game is so successful it's hilarious
It's funny how the spirits will deal so much damage to YOU but are completely buns when you obtain them
I’m here to humbly beg for more armored core content
Rusty needs a twitch I’d watch it
Rat Governor is the premier spirit for Loong Scale (Thunder) build.
A lot of people are spell binder builds. So they only care about the passive. Late game, the damage of the spirit just doesn't matter if a single light attack can crit 800.
Never played this game, probably never will, great video tho!
Bruh the 10% dmg reduction+regen gourd+3 dmg reduction soaks and the Loong balm is key to getting the dmg reduction you need in high ng+ runs
what are you using to keep your qi buildup from resetting after transforming into a spirit?
Mother of Flamlings is my favorite spirit. I finished the game with that one from chapter 5 onwards.
Rock solid it's the best and nobody can tell me otherwise
Azure Dust #1 Spirit Against Erlang
Like to hear Qi be pronounced as "key" for the next 3 Wukong videos
Wow I was not expecting the fucking bull governor lol
I'm still rocking with the first 2 transformation of chapter 1, the fire one and the big head😆😆. Just got to chapter 5
Rusty black myth wukong content LFGGGGG
ive been using wandering wight the whole game. it's INFURIATING when you miss and you miss a lot. but when it lands it's worth it
maybe i'm biased because i spent 5 hours today fighting erlang and 70% of times he dodged wandering wight.
Hey it's the list guy again
Looking forward to playing this as soon as denuvo is removed
I dropped after seeing crow diviner as 2nd worst. It is the most effective freeze spirit and helped me defeat yellow loong.
Ashen slumber is S+ tier just for the cocoons beside crystal jade location for will and xp farming to max lmao
im using earth wolf for the passive only, staff spin with earth wolf give you focus point so fucking fast, you get 4 focus point in 3 second
As a centipede quai user I can attest to the fact that the reason it suck is the main reason I use it. It makes me laugh.
I see all these black myth wukong vids and just sigh sadly because I don't have it. And it's not on xbox
Babe wake up! Rusty put out a new video! * shakes boyfriend , violently.*
Thank God wu Kong came out when out or else rusty would've been ranking eldenring fanfiction
9:44 it can be used if a boss does a annoying combo or to hide
Bosses/enemies in games like this have target lock/projectile lock like a MOFO, so it’s pretty sad when character projectiles can’t have that same target lock
Oh great, now he's ranking the same abilities, skills, and enhancements for other games.
Still waiting on Elden Ring Blades of Grass from worst to best...
I used Wolf Assassin for a good chunk of the game solely for the crit rate
Immediately got jumpscared in this video (I'm arachnophobic). I just downloaded the game and haven't played yet, so if it's a whole level of that, then that will be a nightmare for me. But maybe it will be like exposure therapy😂😂😂
It would be absolutely wild to see him branch out to a game like baldur's game 3 I need that mathematical shit posting in my life 😂
Rank the OSTs in Elden Ring and DLC. You’ve never done a video for music before👌🏻 I personally think Godskin Apostles is Top Tier ok
@@mystomachhurt9312That’s what I’ve been saying! 😓
Not playing BM:W just because I lack the hardware to do it justice, but I'll always tune in for some Rusty
