Nice blazer! You rated Kiton exactly as I thought you would. My kiton jackets and suits are fantastic, but you have not addressed their shirts or trousers, which are also some of the best! Their shirts are completely hands sewn, every seam including the side seams, arm seams and bottom hem are stitched by hand. I haven't seen any better ready to wear outside of G. Inglese! Trousers have long seams machine sewn, of course, but their waist bands are all hand done and extremely comfortable. I love kiton and wear their stuff many days of the week... Though like you, I buy it secondhand! 😁👍

I've been watching your videos since 2017 (back in the "peasant" days). Everything you guys do is pure gold. Educating men from a perspective of classic style helps level the playing field in so many way as, sometimes, it's easy to feel slighted (as a man) by today's fashion industry. At the very least, conventional socialization in America doesn't always train men to express themselves through clothing and you've given us all at least one avenue to do that and all the tools to do it well. Just letting you know I shared a couple of your videos to a 12,000 user deep Poshmark Sellers group populated by some folks who are really curious about menswear, but don't know where to start. My exact words were "accept no substitutes--these men have a video for everything." I hope this nets you a few thousand more subs. You deserve every last one of them.

    Fellas...
I've been doing the "Classic Menswear" thing for over forty years.
I think it's my duty to let you all know that NO GARMENT is worth more than about $1,000 AT THE MOST.
Sure, there's the "craft" of tailoring... But it takes a skilled Tailor LITTLE MORE to make a $5,000 jacket, than it does to make a $500 jacket.
The arbitrary prices of fabrics are another problem.
I wouldn't recommend buying anything without researching all the other options.
Just a bit of unsolicited advice... That's all.

I suppose that the question of whether a Kiton suits/coats are worth it depends upon whether the fabrics they use are so unique that you are willing to pay bespoke + prices for a ready to wear garment. I personally would rather get a bespoke suit in a high quality (though not exclusive) fabric if I were to pay those prices.

    • @drewdamore9419

Me too. I love and respect Kiton possibly more than any other brand, but for my body type, the jackets usually require extensive work to fit to my standards. Much like Raphael, I have WAY better luck with ISAIA. I do find, however, that some of Kiton's other garments (dress shirts, outwear, and sweaters) fit me like a glove.

It's totally off a reasonable scale of pricing. Anybody with a budget like this should find a suitable bespoke tailor and commission all garments bespoke for the best result.

Nice review, but for me, in my opinion at least, its the price tag that sticks out here. Its far too much and i'm sure its nice but its not 12,000 dollars nice, i felt when you said about going to a tailor to have a suit made and refine it a few times would be a MUCH better way to spend that kind of cash. I'm also not much of a fan of Italian styles anyway they feel too loud to me, maybe because im British and a little restrained there perhaps, who knows. Still was a great video! keep up the great work gents.

These are such subjective things - "worth". Depending on one's income level. If you are a CEO or a trader or a banker or a partner lawyer and make millions and millions a year and wear suits for work, of course it is worth it, as long as it fits you well, and this goes for any of the well-constructed brands from Attolini to Isaia to Brioni, etc.
