One of my good friends had a wedding at a castle. To my American ears, it sounded super lavish. In Los Angeles, it's super hard to book even a cruddy venue and it usually costs a fortune. "Nah. There's a lot of old castles all around Sweden...and there's not a lot of people."
I gotta love this, as a Scot from Aberdeen!!!! and as someone who works at castles, love the touches to the place. Glad to see it all celebrated, especially in traditional dress!!!!
I've seen at one wedding back in 2017. The man cried so much that his entire face was red. We had to get him to stop crying so that he could speak. lol It was super adorable.
To you perhaps. To others it may be. And note, they also thought it was special due to the fact that it could house all of their guests, so age isn’t the only factor that makes a castle special.
