Blessing's to the Couple, may they find peace and love among each other and my the Gods watch over them. i must ask, what is the name of the songs you used for the BGM?
OMG - Shaun - THIS is what I wanted to find on your channel. Awesome!! I have never heard of handfasting. It seems that our past traditions and culture are so easily lost and yet, with events like this, we can preserve them forever. Shaun - never let go of your Celtic past....
A very beautiful wedding ceremony. My late husband and I were married in his Mother's living room as she was too old to travel the 4 hours to where we lived. And at my assistance both our Mothers signed as witnesses.
Wow iv got 91 seconds in and I'm already feeling emotional. You following them through the long grass (life and reproduction to me) means so much, walking through nature taking it all in, and wanting to be part of the land. I know I'll be late in saying congratulations but best wishes for a long and happy life together ❤️
Just beautiful… so natural, So Boho, so Wiccan, amazingly heartfelt.. love the setting, how meaningful, much promise and beauty to both Justine and Steve!
Brightest Blessings! ✨ My little Wiccan heart just exploded with pure joy. Smart girl...she chose herself a nice Canadian boy! Much Love, from Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦... Keli 💖
I agree !! My Dad was from Toronto &I have a whole lot of family over there still 🙄💕 including my #1 husband from another lifetime ago! I also agree with your wiccan heart ...💕😍🙋 a beautiful "handfasting",well done and well planned !! 💍💛💙💐🍀💕🌿😍
I am Wiccan and this ceremony is almost exactly what I plan to do for my own wedding day. When the knot was tied I started to cry. So beautiful! Great video, man. Thank you for uploading.
The charm of the location, the Joy of those attending and the artist's eye that captured this beauty can not outshine the Love I can see in Justine & Steve's hearts. You did well Shaun.
I watched this again after watching your video today about your grandmother's home. Such a beautiful wedding & you truly are a great photographer & story teller which is what always draws me into your videos.
I was gonna say that same thing. This was one of the most beautifully symbolic weddings I've ever seen. I attended the Jewish wedding ceremony of my sister-in-law Paige, it was also very moving, symbolic and meaningful...much more so than the Christian weddings I've attended. I told Paige and her new husband that it almost made me want to convert to Judaism ✡ to have a wedding like theirs.
Please make sure we can always find this. It's the most beautiful handfasting a lot of us have ever seen. People in the U.S. would likely want to use Justine's dress as inspiration for their own weddings. Well done for making our lives more magical!
Shaun, you found your calling! The camera angles (just above the blades of grass, drone footage over the rocks) the lighting, the slow motion....you need to make documentaries! Historical, personal, spiritual, you need to make documentaries! Well done sir!
The most beautifal Handfasting I've ever seen . I' m Irish and my Man of 11 years is Scottish. She had my dream wedding. Thank you so much for sharing.
Truely beautiful. Thank you for including us in this special moment in a marriage. All the best to the happy couple . May their problems be less and their blessings be more and may they have nothing but happiness through their door
I LOVE SCOTLAND!!!!! How do I find a Scottish husband in Nashville!!!! Southerners and Scots have a lot in common because many of us have Scottish ancestry!! Proud of that!!
انته حاطط كتير حب بالعمل هادا الفيديو يا شاؤون !!!! عيش اسكتلندا و كندا!!! 👏مبكروك سلفن لاختك صغيرة و جوزها جديد You've put alot of love in making this video Shaun !!! Long live the people of Scotland and Canada !!! 👏Congratulations in Advance to your little sister and her new husband
Shaun thank you for sharing this with us. Deeply moving and beautiful. We don't often get a chance to see ceremonies like this especially in the US. I want to share this with my daughter just as something different for her and her wedding. Again thank you for sharing this and I wish them a very happy and long life.
I very seldom comment on videos, but that had to be one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. I wish them a long, happy, and prosperous life together.
That was one of the best pieces of video I have seen for a little while. My cousin got married in a hand-fasting ceremony at their home, an old farmhouse high up on the moors near Denholm in West Yorkshire. Apparently handfasting used to be widespread among farming communities in the north of England and their ceremony was very similar to this one. So much more meaningful than getting married in a church that you never attended regularly. Marriages come and go and mine is gone but Katie and Chris also did something that really moved me and something I will never forget.
I have to agree; this seems much more meaningful than a church (I got married at the JP - I think that correctly reflected the fact that it only lasted a year. LOL!). I'm too old to get remarried, but if I ever decided to do it I think I'd want to go to Scotland and have this type of a ceremony - small, in a place of beauty with none of the toxicity others have heaped upon my religion. If I had any idea where the 11% of my Scottish DNA came from, that's where I'd want to have it. It was a beautiful ceremony. May Justine and Steve live in an abundance of beauty and blessings all the days of their lives.
The photography was beautifully shot ( was like a movie scene) the scenery spectacular but the best was how absolutely beautiful Justine looked! Couldn’t have had a better day! Congratulations to Justine & Steve may your life be blessed! 💙✨♥️✨💙✨♥️✨🏴✨🇨🇦✨
Ok, this old warrior is in tears. Having been in two failed "church" marriages, I could only wish for a spouse who feels the same as I do with this Hand Fastning ceremony. There is much more to the spirit in this. Although my Scottish blood may be generations removed, the pride is stronger than any of my other ansestoral blood.
This is so beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing! Loved the peace and gentleness of the ceremony. I can't wait to go to Scotland! Congratulations and infinite blessings to Mr. & Mrs. Martin🧡🧡
Shaun, tell your sister and new husband “May there lives be Blessed together” That was a beautiful Hand fasting and it brought a tear to my eyes You did a beautiful job filming the ceremony and the beautiful surroundings Scotland has. it made me hope some day I can come and see Scotland which I my most wanted and loved place to see. Thanks so,so much for sharing.
I never really type message on to any of the RUclips pages before but i had to say that was the most beautiful ceremony and amazing job of capturing such a beautiful cherish memory. Thank you for sharing such a delightful occasion. Definitely one of your masterpieces!!! Congratulations to the newlywed couple. May you both be blessed with great health and happiness throughout all your life together!!!
As faith binds this sash, the knots bind the hearts, only in death shall lovers part. What a beautiful ceremony loved everything about it. Hope you kiddos have a very long lasting marriage. Love hope trust and faith are the four legs of a table, when you lose one leg the table becomes unsteady, when you lose two legs, it collapses. Have faith that tomorrow will be a better day. Hope for a bright future. Trust in one another. But most of all love one another unconditionally no matter your faults. The best of luck to you both and have a happy bright future!
Great Job Shaun ! Bright Blessings to your sister and her groom. This video DEFINITELY counts as one that shares your life and also as one that shares the beauty of Scotland. and also explains why there are those in your viewership that hold these much dear. It warmed my Crusty old Pagan heart and the views nourished my soul. LONG LIVE THE FREE SOUL OF SCOTLAND AND LONG LIVE THE LOVE OF STEVE AND JUSTINE. mmmpmma
Thank you so much Shaun. This moved me to tears it was so beautiful. For all the half Scots of the world, I appreciate you sharing our beautiful cultures that are still here and that came before us. Much respect. ❤
Ahh! Another half Scot !! Thanks for saying that !!💙🙋 and in regards to this gorgeous handfasting.. Well I've only ever seen a few on t.v. like on "Outlander", wich is filmed in Scotland no matter where they're supposed to be!! 😏lol..The one on this show was a quickie..full of passion and all..but in a dirty old barn ! ( they had their beautiful wedding later onto make up for the funky barn !!!)🤓 well from one half Scot to another...cheers! To life !!! Sincerely, Joanne💙💛🙄🤓🙋
Thank you for sharing your family's joy with us, Shaun. The videography perfectly complimented the solemn beauty of this moving ceremony. Just gorgeous. Congratulations to Justine and Steve!
I have heard of these, but never saw one. It was absolutely beautiful. Congratulations to your sister and brother-in-law. Shaun great job with the videography.
Congratulations to your sister & her now husband. You did a VERY wonderful job & excellent footage, it made me feel all the past centuries of Scotland & all those who've lived & died on these lands, almost a sense of feeling & seeing their presence there, just awesome!
From the emotion of the moment and the beautiful traditional Scottish ceremony in such a gorgeous natural environment I was captivated. This is such a nice video Shaun. Thank you for sharing with us and I wish them a wonderful long and happy life together.
Such lovely sentiment to the vows made today….and such a beautiful place to acknowledge them. As a Canadian woman who married in Edinburgh and now lives here with her beloved Scottish husband, this union was very special to me. Congratulations to the happy couple! X
Congratulations to both Justine and Steve! It was such a beautiful ceremony and Shaun you did a beautiful job of filming this solemn occasion for them!
This was the most beautiful wedding video I have ever EVER seen! Congratulations Justine and Steve!! What an amazing gift for your sister and new brother, Shaun! I cannot imagine how many times they will replay this video to recapture the sunrise, the flowers and birds that naturally blessed the sanctuary of their chapel - God's creation surely surrounded and blessed their sweet day. The handfasting is such a beautiful tradition. The tartans are a symbol of family unity. May the bonds of their unity never be broken. The incorporation of nature into the ceremony (earth, air and water) was stunning. This is hands down my favorite video you've done Shaun. The scenery and music makes it all the more magical. Thank you for sharing such a special, special day with us all.
Wow! Your sister is lucky to have a brother like you! What a beautiful video of such intamate moments. Cheers for your sister and her new husband! Bravo, Shaun! Thanks for sharing with us!
Touching a beautiful ceremony, I feel honoured having shared such a warm loving moment in time. Like others, I’m also wiping away tears. Congratulations to Steve & Justine, may they have many years ahead of the. Well done Shaun, brilliant job.
Shaun , that was expertly done and beautiful. And extremely educational! I have never seen a ceremony like that, now i see where tying the know and jumping the broom came from.
This was just beautifully done all the way around. I've never seen a pagan handfasting ceremony, so it was definitely interesting to witness. I truly wish your sister and Steve a happy marriage.
Thank you for sharing this Shawn. An absolutely, beautiful, simple wedding with a reel feel to it. Congratulations to your sister and husband. As a CDN of Scots / Irish decent (heart is definitely Scottish), I was moved my this and the images of the CDN and SCO Saltire flags. Bless you, your family and relatives. I've visited and can't wait to come back, but really... I'd like to come 'home' for good. Slàinte!!!
Wow, thank you for sharing this! I was generally just curious at how these are being done in Scotland after such a long time of them not being very popular because as far as I know, the particular line of our clan that emigrated to the US always did them and we still do them, but thought they weren't really being done much anymore. Ours is obviously a little different, but it was great to see your sister and her husband so in love and excited to get on with the adventure of being married. 💘 very well filmed and the whole scene of the natural surroundings and the love and hope for the future just made my day! thanks again and all the very best to your sister and brother.
Wow so beautiful thanks for sharing! My grandparents in Canada told everyone they were married in the “Scottish way”. I wonder if this is what they meant? It was before they got married in a church. My mother was born 6 months after the church wedding...
Just getting caught up Shaun. What an incredible ceremony and the video will be something they will have forever. Absolutely amazing and thanks for sharing it with us x
Beautiful ceremony. I can’t believe it was daylight out at 4 am. It doesn’t get even remotely light out until 6:30-6:45 am. Unbelievable countryside shots too!! I’m not saying I would ever get married but if I do, Lord, may it be to a lovely Scottish man. Such a beautiful country.
What a lovely ceremony! There is no church or cathedral as glorious or as awe inspiring as the hills and meadows of Scotland. Just gorgeous--every bit of it. I especially loved her bouquet and the laurel of flowers she was wearing. A joining of a couple should be personal and have meaning to them. I wish them joy and happiness to the end of their days.
That was lovely! Congratulations to Steve and Justine and their families! My thanks to them for letting us share in this special moment in their lives.
Wow!..I honestly can say I have never seen a more beautiful wedding ceremony before this one...the area, the couple , the person marrying them and of course you, the recorder, capturing all the emotion and positive energy that was transmitted to everyone observing!!👍👍💯❤
Congratulations to Steve and Justine! Blessings of the Gods and Goddesses upon their union! You did a wonderful job capturing the ceremony, setting and atmosphere.
I remember my Great-Gran talking about her hand fasting. Now I know how truly beautiful it was!! They immigrated to the US not long after. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful ceremony!! Many Many Blessings on Justine and Steve!! Congratulations!! This video is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!! One of my favorite shots was a little of the city and the beautiful nature! The best shot was of the happy couple walking on the edge of the loch!! Again thank you for sharing!! ❤️❤️
It was a beautiful ceremony! You did an excellent job on the video! Congrats to Justine and Steve, may you have all of your lives together in love with each other!
You captured that beautifully, Shaun. I have seen a few handfastings, and that is one of the more beautiful I have seen. The time of day, the nature and the ritual were lovely. Congratulations to your sister and new brother.
Watch to the end for some nice drone flag shots ;) Thank you for watching
Blessing's to the Couple, may they find peace and love among each other and my the Gods watch over them. i must ask, what is the name of the songs you used for the BGM?

One of my favorite shots was a little of the city and the beautiful nature! The best shot was of the happy couple walking on the edge of the loch!! Again thank you for sharing!! ❤️❤️
