- This video started out as a demo of Walksnail in the HEE WING T1 Ranger and ended up evolving into a comparison between 50Mbps and 25Mbps using the system. Veeery interesting.

Thanks for another great video Ed. Time to replace those stock patch antennas. As soon as I replaced mine with TrueRC x2’s, the stuttering stopped. I couldn’t believe how badly the stock antennas performed.

Now what about the drop out behind the building that Shelby had at 50Mbps vs no dropout at 25? Since that was sort of at his 7:30 position how he was sitting, the stock patch antenna probably weren't doing a whole lot in comparison to the two TrueRC omnis on top. Sure the TrueRC omnis aren't X2s, but they're still probably an upgrade over the stock ones, no?

50 has only given us problems with Walksnail. It's fine at close range, but at further distances it stutters. 25Mbps seems to degrade more often but still maintains its framerate.

Oh man. Roll back to the previous fw. The latest has range issues.
So far it acts similar to previous firmware, as far as I can see. Can you point me toward notes indicating the range issue with the latest firmware?
Interesting that 25mb on walksnail is smoother. I wouldn't have expected that. Does that apply to DJI too?
I seem to think that on Air Units, 50 gives more range and is better all around, but I haven't done as much flying as you.
50 is better on DJI as a solo flier. We've had some issues with 50 on DJI flying with other pilots who are also on 50. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it creates video stutters too. Usually two pilots on 50 is ok, but not three.
But flying alone, 50 on DJI is always a better option.
Hell yeah boys nice flight. Those stock patch antenna are not the greatest either, I've installed TrueRC Singularity Stubby and X-Air MK II antenna with great success!!

6:48 When you mentioned using vbat to power the vtx, but there's no flight controller, what does that mean? (Explain it like I'm 5 years old .. Lol)
I thought I've seen a vbat pad on a flight controller, but when you said there is no fight controller, I didn't quite understand.
Correct, no flight controller, but it still has a power distribution board. That is what the XT60 positive and negative are wired to. So I just soldered the avatar unit power directly to the same pads that the battery is connected to.

Is 50mbps still avail to use. I have a mobula8 and I’m only getting 25mbps
Unverified Rumor: I’ve been told 1200 mW surprisingly has worse penetration than 800 mW.
I've heard that too. I was really hoping that the latest firmware would fix that, but perhaps not.
Very bad vtx antenna placement.
It's pretty good generally, and it won't get damaged in a crash.
