I've managed 2.63 on the dr10, and ran my slash and carbon slash with dr10 for first time on sticky track a couple weeks ago, 2.8s all around. If I can launch, I'm sure I can get to two. Great vid guys, cheers

Love it guys. Buddy got me a dr10 for Christmas, and himself a drag slash and his cousin a losi. Keeps bragging that nothing will beat his slash. Little does he know, I've done my homework(thanks boys). Just did a test with slipper turned out, and this little kitty flies. You guys and your enthusiasm is getting me in trouble with the misses, but I'm like a kid in a candy store at the hobby shop these days. Appreciate all your efforts, and infectious smiles. @@HardcoreRC he is a good dude at heart, and was a true friend when dad died during lockdowns. That being said, he needs to always win, be faster, better, whatever, is insufferable. I don't mind losing, but I do mind someone giving me the wrong info on rc, then rubbing it in my face. I'm sure we will have a good chuckle about it, after the sting of his resounding defeat goes away. I named the car "Your Illusions", so he can watch them disappear as I dust him. Wrote it in bold italics across the boot face.

I know that feeling, we are having to import a lot from the USA, but even then the global supply issue doesn't help, Sad kids at Christmas is never good 😥 hope you start to get stock in soon. Kev does know how to jazz it up, he has been doing it so long its second nature to him now

From island hobby nut. They are awesome . And turned up in less than a week from the states. Takes me 4 days to get stuff 100 ks 70 miles always go figure. DR10 Try to get ur hands on Reaction Blue Dots or Axis 20% jus do a little simple green slow clean on a carpet then dry ur tires right after until you feel it tugging and bring ur power in earlier with the right gun like a Futaba 4pm you will be the fastest in the UK 🇬🇧 with ur set up you should be running in the 2/2.2’s🤙

Thanks - sorry to upset you, not sure where in Earls video he said it was metal gears, if he did, 20+ mins was to much for me to watch it all, but it comes with plastic gears for sure, check the Arrma site, diffs have metal internals like all the 3s car, but the main and input gears and spur are all plastic

It was funny, he was like, no no no im going to beat you 😂 wasnt even our best day, we had a little crash before and broke our prior shock upright part, so now the geometry is a little out, need to tune it back up which sucks
@@HardcoreRC dragrace is something completely different compared to bashing. Probably kev wil put in a “dirt cheap “ 12s esc/motor combo. As he said:”! More s means more power and that means more speed”

@@gregory9157 True, then it would fall into a different class, forgte what they call it, these are all 1/10th no prep cars so should only be run on 2s.
A lot depends on how serious you want to be or just have a laugh
I can hear it slip when you go over the painted arrows. Can you find a lighter battery?
Yeah the painted lines really dont help, Battery helps to keep the front down, have a short pack, but friends that used shorties just had them puff up, these being 2p also help with the voltage sag, have some CNHL ones incoming as well
What settings You Run in the Xr10 pro Esc can you Show that or is it a Secrit...🤣🤣
We are just playing with the boost and turbo at present, just turning it up but by bit to see how it then runs, what settings work for us may not work for you depending on what tires, surface and even the temperature is etc.
I actually need to turn it all back down as i fitted a new rear shock tower brace and that has messed up our balance sop its not running straight now, need to turn down, get running straight and then start building back up
You do know In Drag Racing popping out of lane is instant DQ right lol, anybody can run fast when the strip is as wide as it is long heehee , seriously ,was fun to watch, 🖖

where can i get dat rear shock tower on the dr10 from?
Take electric tape wrap the tires run it around alil bit the remove the tape then boom tires will be sticky for a short time

Need help please. I am just starting in the 2s No Prep scene. I purchased a traxxas drag slash recently but am trying to upgrade it. On 3s, the motor is amazing, 2s, it seems really slow compared to what I've seen. I bought a Spektrum Firma 100A Brushless Smart ESC / 6500Kv Sensorless Motor Combo: No-Prep, SPMXSEMC13 to replace the stock motor but I think I made a mistake and might return it. what is the best affordable motor (not more than $200) you would recommend?
To get into good times you really need to be getter a better ESC and Motor, need to be looking at HobbyWing XR10 pro and a 3.5 turn motor - that 100amp specktrum ESC will not be able to handle high the high RPM motors you need

@@HardcoreRC you would think running on 2s batteries, you could win using less expensive esc's/motors. That the cars setup would make the difference in winning or not. What charge lead do you use for the battery
Battery comes with leads to plug in to the lipo (5mm bullets) then just use this to put the connector on that fits to your charger
I have a sidewinder 4 7700kv motor and ESC. Will it work with the dr10 and how will it do in one?
Should work well, ESC may be a bit under powered, but deffo a good start
@@HardcoreRC What do you mean ESC might be underpowered? I'm kind of new to RCs. It's the ESC that came with the motor. Do you mean underpowered for the motor or car?
@@chrism1940 I mean underpowered for the application you are looking to use it in, if trying to pull fast times, the problem is that Castle dont publish what the amp rating is for this ESC
@@HardcoreRC I see. One more question I have. When replacing a motor or changing gears should you put the motor gear up against the next gear tight as possible or allow a little space?
@@chrism1940 Never make it tight, should always be a little space so the gears can move freely, its called mashing the gears, putting a piece of paper between the gears and pushing together can make it easier, i do suggest you search meshing rc gears on youtube as this will help you

With this set up current using the stock gearing, did buy pretty much every combo of pinion and spur, but don't actually needs them currently 😂

LOL, its actually quite easy to hit the curb, the speed these are doing doesn't really come off on the video, then they are super hard to stop without rolling over, as they only brake on the rear wheels, all good fun though

Don't think its soo much they suck, more they need to be dialled in more, launching rear wheel drive only and going in straight line are part of the skill in set up etc, what makes drag racing hard. Glad you liked the video 👍
