I really wanted to see you get that DR10 going the way you want it with stock motor system. You were so stocked when you got it. The slash you never really have to do much all of ares go straight 95% of the time. My skyrc should be here soon and the slash Trophy truck build is finally fully done. I'm going to enjoy that skyrc to see what my on road C10 is really doing. Great video.
If it is hooking left put shims on left side. When you hit the brake If you hit it more then once it goes in reverse and make the car spin out. That's what I learned with the Dr10 so go into settings and take reverse out and you want spin out when braking.
Awesome video!!! The Drag Slash looks awesome!!!!! I've always done the burn out, staged, then press start on the GNSS. I've seen somewhere that it starts reading time on the detection of the first movement.
I just got the losi 22s on 2s redline battery and ran a 2:670! I cant wait to get the drag slash to compare them it was a perfect road and a perfect launch
Slash got the upper hand … looks like doesn’t even need a burnout to launch 🚀… enjoy the garden … get better soon ✌️✌️✌️
I've had to go with the dr10 $499 here is Australia. Traxxas is $899. If I invest the difference in the Dr I've got a better chance of a better overall outcome I think. The difference in prices for Traxxas v others here is substantial. I'll probably buy the bloody Traxxas as well but hard to part with $900 for it.
I could ship you one much cheaper why so much
My dr10 eats the slashes lunch, after some work. Extend rear shock tower, and get your shocks vertical. 80 weight rear, and 30/80 mix up front. Balance the car on each corner and front to back, then upgrade the power system. I'm running a 4600kv tp on a mamba monster. Add the sway bar to control drift on takeoff. I'm between 70-80mph on 2s. You will need to add weight in front of bumper after you balance, then check front to back again. You can also put some foam in rear of battery tray, so battery sits an inch or so further forward. My buddy has the slash and losi22, and I smoke both of them on 3s vs my 2s.
im suer you already know but i used glue from the hobby shop on my rc trucks huge difference in performancs no more slipping awesome truck by the way wish i could buy one!!!!
I still think you need to heat your tires way more. Doing a 1.5second burnout is barely getting any warmth in them at all. All that really counts though is you having fun. So keep it up man
Dont actually need a longer burnout i found no difference in performance with longer burnouts other than getting more wear on the tires losi definitely needs shims out the box on the right or left but pretty stout rtr Earl was rifht im just blown away at these rtr’s wish the drag slash had came in already still waiting on that but gives me time to build my unlimited infraction build! Rc guy a d earl are the only two guys that we can take actual advice from especially for new comers like me im pretty happy with the losi and the infraction !
@@nolimitrc1 When you're doing a burnout on a carpet there should be little to no tire wear. You're trying to warm up the tire. That's the whole reason for the carpet is to not wear the tire out but to warm it up so it becomes sticky. I could be wrong because I don't run the same exact tire He is running in this video. However you can see in slow motion His tires are spinning quite often So instead of adding weight I would try to warm up the tires more. I'm definitely nowhere near the fastest guy in the country but I do race with a bunch of local guys frequently. Actually only about 25 minutes from RC guy I've even invited him out to an event. There is one actually this Sunday Father's Day and he is very welcome to come and have fun with us. It is a top 10 list race for no prep cars. I have a slash build and a losi roller build for no prep. I also have an infraction V2 but I am concentrating on my no-prep cars.
@@blindj wait a minute you guys are in the upper north east??! I am too im starting to go hobbyquarters no prep races i Earl is on the other side of the world but im trying to get a team over here on the east coast going!
@@nolimitrc1 Yes we racing Fall River all the time. At BCC community college. The Connecticut guys just came for a cash days race last Sunday June 13th
@@blindj thats so awesome! Im more excited for the r/c races than the real cars got my two cars impounded over this damn rpm act epa bullcrap my supra and my rs3 audi have to be converted back to stock or i cannot have them on any road or driveway my tuner got hit with a hefty $87,000 fine over selling so called emissions defeating devices aka stand alone systems wich make our vehicles run better and burn cleaner the epa has no idea what they are doing and people need to sign the sema rpm act so we can have our right as legal on track racers back! So u til that smoke settles i joined the r/c no prep scene its just upsetting this is America! These bs laws shouldnt be a thing man !
I guarantee you if you move two of your motor wires and then flick your reverse On your remote you go faster your motors wired backwards that’s why you put on a break so hard
You need to gear the DR at around 28/75. It will run around 3 flat.
Burn outs are essentially. You should not expect it or any car to launch straight without do so.
🤣🤪that dang TRAXXAS is spoiling me with its full trigger straight launches for sure👍💯👊
Just stumbled upon the channel and haven't had a chance to watch many yet. If you're planning on doing any organized racing, most club follow the NPRC guidelines. As such, the TSM won't be of any use since it must be deactivated.
Weight is key with drag cars, especially the RTRS and 13.5t's. Light, sticky tires makes all the difference in the world. For the slower cars, I feel the balloon action of the unbelted tire helps on the big end. The Proline Hoosiers, JC Hotties and Rawspeed slicks all work really well. A quick burn out till the tires are hot to the touch should stop 99.9% of your launch problems. Of the 3 I mentioned, the Rawspeeds are around 10 grams per tire lighter and my tire of choice on the DR13.5T.
I see you have a new suspension, gearing video, I need to check it out. On suspension, best I can tell you from my personal experience with the car is use a micrometer and measure each shock length. I found over .100" difference in my front shocks. Back or run in the shock ends until they are equal. That will help keep the preload consistent side to side and the droop equal when they unload under power. Don't forget the bump stops on the shafts, just as important as heating the tires. I'm sure you noticed that your Drag Slash has them from the factory? That greatly lessens the chances of it veering off or crashing. Anyway, 60 weight oil front, 80 rear, 500k in the diff, ditch the servo saver and run an aluminum horn. With all that simple tuning, a good 100C 2S battery and previous mentioned gearing, you should have a DR that runs consistent 3 second (or less) 132's as straight as an arrow.
You need earls car and earl needs your streets...🤣🤣🤣🤣. Just kidding. Great run.. ik you and earl are buddys👍🤘
HEY.Little red tractor.✌
Drag slash has a gyro to keep it straight. Gyros are not allowed in competition
Yep but this RTR isn't positioned exclusively for that individual it's to provide happiness and fun for someone just getting into that side of the hobby or want to try it
Right this one was off
3.8 is storage mode 🤣🤣needs a food charge and your in the money 💰
I would try the other size wheels on willy bar when you go up in front it needs to be moving forward
Love the cleetus stencil!!!
HELL 👍 YEAH
BROTHER
Fuggin sweet man!!!!
Use some of the road repair tar..on the tire warm up sure gets sticky and hooks like heck...my street road has a perfect strop of that and man does it give ot that extra grip
Yes did that last season but ended up sticking to the tire and ruining them prematurely
I the Traxxas and the Losi and the Traxxas stomps the Losi, if for no other reason than it GOES STRAIGHT !!! ... even with an AVC receiver added to the Losi the TSM equipped Traxxas beats it hands down ! .. but I love those Losi bodies... the 68 F100 is awesome.
Them wheels look great
I got to say it again, try it on a differnt road, your road is well worn. It looks like a scale cobblestone road.
It is🤪🤣 that's the PERFECT description
@@rcguygarage Consider it like Shooting, you shoot from a rest to get a baseline, same with an RC. Perfect tarmac runs to get the best baseline. Otherwise your just tuning for your road and everywhere else will be way off.
Second 😲😲😎😎
Hey bud i just got the losi 22s and ran a 2:670 on a brand new redline 2s shorty! 18 tooth
I cant wait to get the drag slash to see how much faster it is
Happy time
Traxxas has always been fast.. but over priced and you can’t race it at most places that run no prep .. radio system not allowed no tsm ..motor not allowed in 13.5 class because it’s a 10t. But for people wanting to race their friends in a parking lot they are great fun though..
Nice drag cars RC Guy.
Best way to use a slash.street no jumps.
Awesome car bro😀👍
Does the TRX drag slash go straight easily with the tsm turned off ? I see some of the clubs require that to be turned off to compete with them . Digging the progress you're making with the slash.
Depending on rules you may have to swap out to a non TSM receiver but to answer you YES it CAN go straight mostly with proper setup. This platform is already proven so its minimal to get used to.
Slash goes straight out of the box until you get to 3s. Losi is 6500kv motor running like a 12 pinion, so it takes off like a rocket, but tops out quickly. It doesn't hammer off the line straight if you floor it though
Definitely to much weight on left side. Is your ESC mounted on left from factory, like mine? Mount it over battery tray in rear, and move battery up an inch or so with foam.
You need to stiffen the right (pass side) rear shock. It's sagging to the right which makes it pull left.
Yes less traction💯
@@rcguygarage your vid ids only left side. Your rotation is faster on right side, so it drift left, then digs in and goes right. Go to 20 million in rear diff and balance the corners. You've got too much weight on the back left corner. I had the same issue, and was 500 grams heavier left rear to right. Dr10 is a slayer if you put the time in
So, add the sway bar to balance the droop😊
Pinion grub screw came loose
Wassup bud! Love the content, Just subscribed!👍🏾💯
It seems like you're sliding and losing traction, then getting some on the tar and deadhooking sideways. You might just need a better road.
Wath kind of mod you made? I run 35 76 2s pass 3.08 at. 46
V&b inthe house nice mods grate video
First 🤣🤣🤣
Is that timer you are using to get ET and speed built into the drag slash or is this an addon of some kind? Great video BTW.
It's called The sky RC GPS it's available in my merch shop only one left
Gnss
When I got my dr10 I broke my transmission and I put traxxas tsm in it and castle creations 1406 5700 kv 2.75 49 mph
Heat the Tires Longer . HOT HOT TIRES It help me a lot .
The tires burn through WAY TOO FAST👍💯
You are running 3s on dr10?
Also do you have the drag brake on? You need to turn it off.
Loosen the slipper on the dr10
🤪🤣🤪🤣loosen it tighten it burnout longer pick a better road 🤪🤣🤪🤣 it actually launches straight full trigger locked😉 just takes a little time learning what it wants👍💯👊
Hey man! I freaking like those rims on that slash, did you state what they were or link attached???
Also I love that you & Earl have a relationship. Says great things.
The Slash is running 2 different manufacture cnc wheels. What ones?
@@rcguygarage The rear caught my eye! But will take any & all advise. I got lucky & got the jump on a drag slash. So I've had one for about a month now. But haven't had much time to do many trial runs. But I can tell you I haven't ran with my DR10 or my Losi since i got that drag slash. Man that drag slash is alot of fun to run. Me & my son will hit the street & 4-5hrs of my life will dissappear LOL! Appreciate all your videos. Big fans!

Are you pulling the trigger fully or easing into it?
Full trigger
It's there a way to make like home made traction bars or would it help?
Yes your can but the definition of homemade unless you've got tools and equipment I mean I made a homemade wheelie bar for my drag bug it works great but you know do you have the time and do you have the tools or whatever is needed and then you got to factor in all that stuff is it worth your time when you can just go buy one
THIRD🤣🤪
🤣🤣🍿🍿
it’s obvious. the dr10 is losing control because of traction.
Stating the obvious😉🤣👍💯👊
Starting off in the hobby, I have been told by local track to start with a DR10..what do you recommend
Losi s22 . Dr10 cause it's less expensive. You do get what you pay for. Traxxas would be the most expensive. Need to consider parts support in the event of a crash, upgrades or maintenance.
Watching this same reason. Which one performs better dollar for dollar? Which one is more respected at races?
@@RM-vb9nz I may get the DR10 today
You need to learn how to drive both of them without the steering assisted gyro, that's the issue with your DR10 & the Traxxas nearly drives itself. it's no fun it's like cheating w/ that on, it's obviously not allowed in no prep sanctioned races & much more fun & challenging without it... 🤘🏼🏁
no i don't use the gyro at all and if i do its for demo
Do you have a link for those dual turbos?
