We have lost this beautiful man with a beautiful voice to cancer at a tragically young age. The sadness in our hearts will linger long.
Max Riebl (Australian countertenor) died at the age of 30 (30 April 2022).
May he rest in peace.
This is a fabulous version of the cold song. The Adelaide Baroque Orchestra is, in no small way, a big part of the beauty of this clip. Max is amazing of course and made more so by his stunning accompaniment.
Tragic about his passing… so young, so talented
The right voice at the right music
Perfection.
Fabulous………all of them. Tragic about Max’ passing from cancer. So young, so talented, so tragic
So great, so sad.
Wonderful! Purcell was a genius.
One of the best interpretations of this beautiful composition, and Bravo to the ensemble for their balance and musical purity.
It's unbelievable a male can produce such a voice.
At last a countertenor with excellent technique. Yowsuh! I shall have to research him.
Lovely voice and handsome man. Singing with the angels now...God bless his family.
