That's what I thought at first, but then after watching the full episode, although I agree that the wife could be more supportive, I believe that the guy has no perseverance to run a business and has built a high ego that was not letting him see the mistakes he was making. Also the women getting upset when she saw her husband excited and cooking again, can be a result of her not being able to bring her husband's motivation back through the years like Gordon was able to. Remember that it's the easiest to judge someone based on a video without knowing the whole story and what she had to be put through throughout the years.

Nah, people get tired of constantly motivating someone. It's ben going on for years before Ramsey came in the picture. The guy also got his kids & wife picking up the slack & the son bailing him out. Yes, moms tend to do everything, to the point of coddling their children, especially sons. However, I can understand the woman being frustrated. The wife probably gave up a secure job to help the husband. Even Ramsey acknowledged that she had to step up more than he did over the years. You do become a little bitter or cold when you end up caring more than the husband who now put the entire family in a crappy position. No spouse can always uplift & motivate the other, when they also get tired.

The place closed after ramsey and crew where there.
    From yelp:
"They hammered the menu - damn you Ramsey! You DONKEY!
Also it seemed the quality suffered as well and the sushi was not on par. Overall after seeing what happened to it after, as being there before, they should have let things alone. Plus I always saw people there, the last time it was a Ghost town."

Unfortunately no, they closed a long time ago. Apparently they tried to find a new location with lower rent but I assume they couldn’t find one in time, so they just stepped out of the restaurant industry entirely.
Akira is now an importer for Japanese and Chinese products, and Lisa basically job hops from restaurant to restaurant as a server.
Don’t know what the kids are doing, but Hana kinda recently did a reunion fan-episode with some of her costars from Star Trek, since she was a child actor.

I think you pick up on the red flag, but off centre, when the wife saw her husband rebounding for the positive, she deliberately tried to sabotage his improvement, as his depression was her centrepiece for leaving, the intentional efforts to belittle him, were self preservation by the wife

You know it's footage like this and my lacking experience of sushi in general. Be it from well reviewed places or random offerings of a venue. Frozen or otherwise not fresh. A lot of people may not be aware, but frozen products in transit are allowed to be marked fresh. So when I'm not near a coast line within hours, fish anything is avoided. I think the critical mistake he made was moving from an area the restaurant was successful into another on the idea it will remain that way.
