    READ BEFORE COMMENTING:
    All I’m doing here is looping the on board sounds on the akai directly into the boss rc30. No quantization, no software, no computer input or anything. I don’t know how to map sounds onto the pads and I don’t know how to set it up with a computer. I highly recommend both of these pieces of hardware for this application. That pretty much answers most of the questions most people seem to have. Thanks for watching! :))

      There are surely no on board sounds on the akai though as it's a midi?

      This is the akai play which has a speaker built in , I myself trying to figure out how to do it with the normal Akai and Boss looper as the mk 3 doesn’t have headphone input 😢

      Hey! I guess he just used the external Headphone out. I do the same with mine - just using a minijack > jack adaptor and go directly into the looper pedal, as you would do with any other normal guitar pedal

    How do you like that Akai? I’ve thought about getting one, and now that I see you can hook right up to rc30 w/ aux cable, I might do it. I use the L/R inputs for acoustic guitar and keyboard. If this little guy uses the aux port, that would be a cool addition. Also, great job!

      This would be nice, a portable 25 keys synthesizer with built-in looper. Does it exist? Another solution is to use a software looper like Luppp.

    I have a question, hopefully you can answer? Can the mpk mini mk2 loop on its own, or does the looping only come from the daw? I ask because I want to use garageband to capture audio for some looping videos like this, but I can’t find information ANYWHERE on whether the mpk can loop on its own. Any help would be great!

      I know this is an old comment but in case you never got an answer, no it doesn't loop on its own. He's using a loop pedal in the video.

    Do you have any idea how I could connect this to my iPad to record the sounds on BeatMaker 3? I know I need an interface but after that do I just connect an aux from the headphone jack to the interface or do I need a converter piece in between to convert to a stereo line?

    I've been looking at buying one of these but want to run it into my pedal board alongside my guitar & out to the same amp when playing live. I have a fender hot rod deville that has 2 1/4" inputs, will I need some kind of ABY pedal to do this or is it possible without?

    Hey, how do you connect MPK Mini with Boss RC-30? Once you plug your Akai to laptop/DAW, how do you send that to RC-30 and then back to laptop to record it? Thanks!

    • @nebdog519
      @nebdog519  5 лет назад +8

      What’s up man, I just connect the mpk to the looper via auxiliary cable, then run the signal from the rc30 into an amp. From the amp I can connect to a computer through another aux. So basically my setup looks like this: akai mpk mini -aux-> boss rc30 -1/4inch guitar cable-> amp --aux-> computer/ laptop. Sorry if that’s a bit confusing can’t think of a better way to explain it lol

    • @ostrmic
      @ostrmic 5 лет назад

      @@nebdog519 ah, it's because you have Play version of MPK Mini I missed that bit somehow. Have you by any chance ever tried using it in similar setup (with RC-30) but as a regular MIDI controller (I mean MPK -> laptop -> RC-30 -> laptop for recording)? I wonder if it's even possible but don't have a way to experiment with that :/

    • @nebdog519
      @nebdog519  5 лет назад

    Friend i bought this pedal ! can you give me some tips please? i record the percussion in the first channel and play. I go to the second channel and play the chorus. How can i setup my pedal to play the chorus exactly in the time i want to? Because when i play the second track, the chorus is not starting from zero, he is already playing do you understand? The chorus is chained to the first channel, and its a percussion which is in loop, so i cant find the exactly moment to play the chorus. thank you from Brazil!

    • @nebdog519
      @nebdog519  5 лет назад

      As I understand it, there is no way to unchain the first channel from the second. A similar problem I had was wanting say the second channel to be twice as long of a loop as the first, but this just isn't possible unfortunately. One of very few issues I've had with the pedal, so far haven found any solutions, sorry.
