Nice tips in this video! Maybe an extra tip on using the RC-30 is using the Boss FS-6 dual footswitch with it. The FS-6 left pedal will turn on the extra features like the 'bend down' and the right pedal will switch between channel 1 and 2, both with just one tap. This prefent you to necessary hold down the pedals on the RC-30 for these functions, which means some delay on the moment the functions are actually operative.
so right pedal double tap before you start recording is for tempo.. but while the track is playing is for stop all. that is good info to have. thanks for sharing!
This was so great, thank you! I’ve had this looper pedal for a few years now and have never learned to use it. Now I’m so excited to jump in and try it out
Very helpful. Thanks, Andres. It's encouraged me to be a bit more adventurous with my RC30. It's hard to get the basics right, only had mine a couple of weeks you see, but this gives me a bit more confidence with how to trim things up nice and neat to help keep it sweet.
Thanks for actually explaining how to use the two tracks!!!! cannot believe how many of the other videos do not! Great job and nice playing too! Peace and be well!
Mate, I’ve watched loads of these looper videos trying to decide which looper I want to not buy when I buy the RC-10 thing that costs more than my amp. This one, oh my goodness I love your set up. I play a Les Paul, this has made me want a drum machine installing! Awesome, I’ll take a look what else you’ve got going on. Thanks for sharing 🙏
Hi, brilliant guide! I was just wondering if it is still worth it to buy a second hand rc30 given it's only 16bit. It's going to be my first guitar pedal hahaha. I am worried about the sound quality from it.
That's a great question Kisko Apeles! I use a RC-30 to loop, and the sound quality is great in my opinion. Unfortunately, I don't have a higher bit looper to compare it to. But, the RC-30 is legendary man! Made popular by Ed Sheeran.
"Now I'm actually gonna bend down so I can click the next effect" lol. Hey great demo. This makes me more curious about the AB Switch pedal. I also have a bass I want to throw into my guitar loops. Which one would you recommend? Or do you have a video with more in depth details on this setup? I'm a newbie to pedals.
Hi man! I just got my very first electric guitar (30 years old, been playing for 20!) and I am completely at a loss as to what gear I should purchase. Godin Multiac SA (Synth access?!) and a 2020 Macbook Pro with Logic Pro X..... And a dream... Haha... Please help... I want to use this for recording, what should my first investments be?
Thanks for this video. I have that same looper in a box somewhere, like new. I have a roland GR 9 too... never used it yet... and the godin acs-sa (non slim neck) ... this is a big help for me... thanks for all the videos...
@@andrescolintv Hey man, thanks for the Musical Homework suggestions. I'm currently listening to an album by Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra, called "Little Wing" and it is awesome! It is covers of classic songs done in flamenco style. I'm loving it and it seems to be a gateway to explore more.
came looking to fast forward thinking 9 minutes is too much, here I am after watching 9 minutes of an awesome video commenting!! Great job and great playing!!
Two questions friend: 1. Why does track 2 have less recording time than track 1 on the boss rc 30? 2. What is the name of the pedal board that you have connected to the side with which you do the percussion of the bass drum and the drums?
Excellent tips, thanks. As a new user, I seem to be overlooking something : after the first loop is recorded as you show, the playback starts immediate but adds a long silence before restarting the loop. Any suggestions?
Dear Andy,, or someone in the forum - TIP 3 : the guitar and ukulele are connected to each mono "IN" in the looper ?? and then the out goes to two independent channels in the mixer ?? or is that the function of the A-B switch ??, and/or how to connect to the mixer IN and how OUT ? thanks !!
The guitar and bass both go to a A/B switch, the A/B switch then goes into the mono input of the loop station. If you want to switch between your guitar and bass you just click the A/B switch. The looper then goes into ONE input in the mixer where you can hear 1) the loop that’s playing and 2) the instrument selected in the A/B switch. My other suggestion was to plug in your instruments into another mixer, and then into the loop station, but then you would have to manually mute the channels of the instruments that you’re not recording to avoid recording noise and or feedback. Then you would need to go from the looper to another mixer. I didn’t use this looping method but other looping Artists do.
Hi Andres! Thanks a lot mate, it's a great video, I've actually improved already thanks to your tutorial! One thing I don't understand and I didn't find information about it in my RC-30's manual either: how do I connect an effect pedal to this looper, so how can I loop the effected sound? Is there any video or descrition anywhere about it (sorry that I couldn't find one or I'm just simply too clumsy)?
@@stonedapesociety5628 yes. One press of the right pedal stops the current track. It takes a double press to stop both tracks. One long press of right pedal switches between both tracks so you can then stop the one you want to stop

Great video man , I’m trying to get better using my looper .. I’m trying to add the rhythm drum beat on track 1 to play throughout the song and then on track 2 adding back up vocals for the chorus of the song to take in and out .. I’m struggling getting the rhythm track to be the same duration as the vocal track . I wanna save this so when I play this song it’s there . Any tips you can share ? Thank you
Man this is the most simple to follow tutorial I have seen on the RC30. Thank you!
Finally! Someone who can actually play guitar and gives a demo of this box. Thx!
very well done , I've been searching RUclips all afternoon and keep skipping until your 5 tips was so easy to follow now i can go explore
Thank you

I love this style of guitar playing
Brillante Andres, muy claro, simple y simpático! Saludos desde Argentina!
Very good tips thanks ! Now back to the RC30...
I'm a huge fan of Ed Sheeran. He's the guy that got me into looping. But Andres has completely blown my mind away. How is he not as big as Ed?
Many thanks for a great video. The clearest and easiest to follow RC-30 looper tips I have seen - might even be able to use mine properly now! Cheers.

Thanks for this. I'm considering buying my first looper pedal and the RC 30 seems dope.
You should by one there awesome because you can put together a full band just with one person

Which Kala bass is that, and strings? I am sure I am not the first person to ask but didn't see it in your post. I really enjoy your playing bro.

Would it be more efficient to use an octave pedal with guitar for the bass than carry a ukulele to the gig?
