    I bought several dolls when I lost my parents and I ended up keeping them for about a year. I realized I was trying to comfort my inner child. After some healing I was able and ready to sell them after they served their purpose.

      @LadybugLuvblahblah What a beautiful post from you here ✨ Honouring your parents and the grief at losing them both. They would have understood and wanted you to heal. I feel that your words about 'comfort' have much to offer others experiencing their own heartache.

    • @paulmiller9384
      @paulmiller9384 4 месяца назад +3

      Not dirty? Seriously? The light switches for one example, covered in greasy marks, it would have literally taken ten seconds to clean each one with a damp cloth.

    • @serendipidus8482
      @serendipidus8482 4 месяца назад +4

      Its really not that bad at all. Except for the disorganised dolls. Which she doesnt have soace for. Everything else is not hard to accumulate. Its all so clean. Just nowhere to store it all.

    • @serendipidus8482
      @serendipidus8482 4 месяца назад +3

      @@paulmiller9384greasy marks on light switches are the concern of those with oc disorder. Its very normal and common to have dirty light switches when someone in the house is a mechanic. Usually people have dead cats behind the stack of rotting maggot filled pizza boxes. She is comparatively a saint of cleanliness compared to the usual filth in these shows.

    My adoptive mother routinely cleared our books and toys as we grew. Never asked as we matured if there was anything we treasured or wanted to keep. I did not have anything really to recall as mine from those days of 55 or so years ago. Sigh. When married i collected Czech glass, & other items. Gave most all away over the years. I still do that with my treasures. Now i downsize books and jewelry i make as a hobby. Its nice to clear out every so often!

    I have a routine for stuff I don't want or need anymore,
    first I ask family, friends and neighbors.
    When their answer is 'no', than I put it online, mostly for free.
    When there are no satisfying results, it has to go, either donate or the bin.
    There are enough things I can't control, but decluttering isn't one of them..

SHe goes and takes out what she can salavage. She finds brand new things and she finds beautiful old things. Hand crotcheted things or waterford crystal. Amazing! Its nice to see her rescue them. God knows some day when society collapses people will be scrounging for every jar and bowl they can find among the debris thrown out

    I have an obsession with clothes, but in particular with dresses. I know why! When I was about 17 years old my mother gave some dresses I had made to a jumble sale. She did not ask me if she could! She just searched in my wardrobe and threw out what I had made. She was envious of my ability to sew pretty garments. I am now 76 years old and I cannot forgive her for this. She has been dead over 40 years but I still hate her, because I realised at that moment how little she respected me and my personal boundaries. So now I have a wardrobe full of dresses which I don't wear, but don't want to get rid of! They are MINE and you can't throw them out. But it's worse than that. I protect my personal boundaries so fiercely against encroachment that I cannot form relationships, whether friendships or sexual relationships, so I'm very lonely. Thanks, Mum. You did a good job of ruining my life. You were unhappy, so you couldn't bear the thought that I might be happy.
