Justin Herbert may finally have a head coach to help take him deep into the NFL postseason. Brandon Staley is gone. Most likely Kellen Moore is out, and if Jim Harbaugh continues with his tradition of developing QBs like Andrew Luck, Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick, and J.J. McCarthy maybe the Chargers won't disappoint and defeat their greatest enemy, Chargering.

Chargers lost to Broncos 3 times in 2023 and decided it was time for a change
😂😂
Remember when they fired Marty Shottenheimer? I think that is the curse.
@@Jordan-Ramses The Chargers got rid of Marty and Drew Brees. The Chargers deserved to suck for a while. I don't dislike them. I rooted for them while stationed at San Diego. It was wild watching football in California. Football mornings meant morning beer was acceptable.

@@Funnnyminnie Coincidentally, Smith was a good high school quarterback in San Diego County - Helix High in La Mesa - while Jim Harbaugh was playing for the then-San Diego Chargers.
Long time charger fan here, my only critique of your analysis of our historical chargering is that Nate Kaedings playoff blunders are always skipped over. You could have at least posted his mugshot. His 0/3 day still haunts me and the people of San Diego to this day
That was such a terrible game and is unfortunately seared in my memory. Between those missed kicks, that Revis interception that somehow didn’t hit the ground, and cromartie making a business decision to avoid tackling shonn Greene, chargering personified

I can't believe I actually found a fellow Chargers fan. I am no longer alone in my existence. There is a chance that our species will survive. What a glorious day.
Here’s a great example of how crazy Harbaugh is. Back when he coached at Stanford he visited Aragon HS to watch film on prospects, my dad’s cousins (my 1st cousin? Idk) was the Head Coach at the time. While they’re watching footage of the QB Jim goes “Wow that’s a great player” “that kids got something “ then finally “yeah that young man reminds me of a uhhh yeah a uhhh young Jim Harbaugh”
My dad’s cousin almost starts to laugh at that until he realizes Jim Harbaugh said that with zero irony and was dead serious.

As a Raiders fan Every year it feels like there is no bad team to give us breathing room in the division. THen the Chargers are always ready to step up and begin Chargering to fill that void.
It’s been reported that the Raiders didn’t want to hire a 1st time GM so they hired Telasco, who doesn’t have a good record in the draft, in free agency, nor in hiring coaches.
@@dandeitch3459if he can build the raiders like he’s built the chargers. We will be fine with AP as coach. The chargers were touted to be a Super Bowl contender…on paper. He built that. But yeah he also hired Staley.
@dandeitch3459 the only thing telesco hasn't had is a good head coach. He's built awesome teams, on paper, and has hit on draft picks.
@@HippyHouse - it certainly appears that many fans overrated the Chargers roster. The Chargers had a losing record during Telasco’s tenure.

I think what makes the whole KC thing more painful is watching Patrick scamper up the sidelines and every player on defense is too scared to hit him. Or how bout how the NFL literally handed KC a gift wrapped #1 seed when Demar Hamlin went down for Buffalo? Add in at least 12 blown calls (Or NON calls) every year and KC is once again the NFL's lil darlings. Lets all watch how the NFL will do everything in it's power to make KC the first "3 peat" team ever. I will literally stop watching football if it happens.

Love Harbaugh, great coach. I'm skeptical, strictly because of Dean Spanos and co.
If that stupid boy is left in his position Dean will continue to allow him to wreck the team. Not sure how Jim Harbaugh is going to be able to overcome that.
Good coach. Bad owner. Lombardi winning teams don’t have bad owners…Jerry jones is the exception to this rule, and look how his team has done for the last 27 years.
Look. If they brought him in, they gave him control. Harbaugh would never accept to not have it. I don’t like the Spani either, but credit where credit is due, they killed it this time
Harbaugh would have never agreed to a contract had they not hashed out the control aspect beforehand. Harbaugh is the Chargers now.

I appreciate the background, Brandon! I had no idea Jim Harbaugh said such weird stuff! Very insightgful video, indeed!
I love that this is a Broncos channel. the Chargers memes are GOLD!
In the ultimate act of Chargering at the highest voltage possible, Philip Rivers, in the final seconds of a game against the Chiefs, the game's gunslinger bent behind center in the victory formation as being victorious was confidently assured until it wasn't. He shockingly fumbles the snap. The Chiefs Defense lands on the ball to secure it. They kick a field goal and in shocking fashion, the Chargers had chargetastically chargered certain defeat from the jaws of eminent victory! Chargelistic!
Go Chiefs!
I love the chaotic, comical editing style used, with all the quick little clips and inserts. If Monty Python and NFL films had a one night stand, This Is Good Sports would be their bastard offspring. I love it.

He'll be able to field a team of his own with all his kids and coach them to a playoff game one day. But not win one though.

Perna, how dare you talk about the history of the Chargers CHARGERING without mentioning how they once lost a game to a Hue Jackson-era Browns squad. They lost to a Cleveland team that lost their first 14 games of the 2016 season, and after winning that game, go on to lose their next 17 games. As long as Spanos is there, no dice. Although Kroenke got himself a Superbowl win with the Rams so what do I know.

Chargers are gonna Charger- it's the way- always has been, always will be
We'll have to see
I suffered as a Charger fan for years and would have willingly done so for years more if they hadn't left town.
That 2010 season was painful because their special teams sabotaged them every single game. It didn't bode well when our kicker (Nate Kaeding) got injured on the first play of the season (kicking off against the Vikings I believe).
The year before that we got knocked out of the playoffs by the JETS because Kaeding couldn't make a field goal all game (one of the biggest choke-artists in the playoffs of all time).
In 2013 we earned a wildcard spot and played to a game with the Broncos in the divisional round. We had a chance to win, but Mike McCoy kept giving Ryan Matthews the ball and he must have thought it was Thanksgiving with how much stuffing there was. When he finally started letting Rivers air the ball out (successfully, btw) it was too little too late.
The team was so infuriating to watch for so many years, but they were MY team. Now I just chuckle from a distance, knowing the Spanos family is the biggest problem for the team.
Don't forget the terrible raiders knocked you out of the playoffs a couple years back😂

@@MatataMcCleskey If that was after they went to LA I had jumped ship already...or rather they sailed away and left me at port.

the oline committee youtube channel has some good insight into Jim. Alex Boone is on it and used to play for Harbaugh and has some great stories and info. gives some insight into why he kept messing w media at pressers too.
Maybe it’s just me but he seems like the perfect fit for the Chargers. Just idk his personality fits I feel (I’m not a charger fan)
I AM OVERJOYED AT JIM JOINING. The thing about Jim is we saw it both at Michigan and SF that with a good squad he will win. The chargers have a good squad, we just need to utilize our pieces. Also derwin needs to stop body slamming people and getting ejected
Thanx for your best wishes, fingers crossed
From a Ravens fan to any Chargers fan: you are in good hands with Jim at the helms. However, I do urge patience, cause even the best coaches will need time to implement their vision and schemes before a team can truly contend. The Chargers do have some holes in their roster, plus we still have no idea who Jim plans to add to his coaching staff. You need every cog in a machine to work in unison before everything clicks, and while I am optimistic about the Chargers, since their roster assembly is nearly complete, I'd say you still need another year or so before you can start thinking of playoff aspirations. I know this team is starved for postseason success, but just wait a little longer. That is the only advice I can provide.

Brandon please dont perpetuate the 2010 chargers myth. They werent #1 in offense. they had the most yards in both. but scoring the 2010 Pats scored as much as the 99 Rams and 04 Colts. 32 ppg, chargers had 27 ppg. Steelers were giving up 14.5 ppg and chargers gave up 22 ppg. While the steelers gave up an average of 5 yards more per game.
This videos makes me realize that all the other 3 AFC West fanbases are joining forces against the Chiefs. My only question is why did it take so long?
SEGMENT IDEA FOR NEXT YEAR... When Chargers and Ravens have similar games do a HARBROS HIGHLIGHTS segment. Just a hidea.
I know I’m being wild with this but, draft either a corner or TE for the first round, trade Mike Williams for either another second round pick or another active receiver. Fill in the holes in the offensive line. I hope they keep Bosa and Mack. Spanos needs to give him and whatever GM they land open reign to finally win a superbowl. Harbaugh is the way of things, he is life. Get used to it
I'm a 49er fan and I still remember how awful San Fran was from 2003-2010. Harbaugh was an eccentric head coach for San Fran, but I liked him. He was our crazy coach that made our team that lost so many times in 7 straight seasons to the NFC Championship in his first year with us. Fans were burning Alex Smith jerseys, but Harbaugh turned things around and made him a far better QB. More yds, TDs, and slashing down his INTs. He was an absolutely different QB after Harbaugh took over.
