I've had to restart this about 5 times but i finally got it. I was so excited when it came to the part where you switch the single and double cables. That was the part that made me want to make this throw. I am going to figure out how to make it wider for my bed. Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. I’m going to have to give myself a little break. I’ve tried to do that back cross part around 41 mins in, but it’s still not working for me. 😅 I’m not even new to crochet and have worked so many advanced stitch patterns in the past, but this stitch is new to me and has me stumped 🤔 I’m not the kind of woman to give in though, so I will be back in a short while to try it again until it clicks in my mind 🙃

I once did that mandala madness pattern, I needed lots of patience and I definitely needed the video tutorial as I’m more of a visual learner, but once I finished it it felt wonderful. @@Twinkley1981 whew! So glad that helped! As a teacher I always feel like I just dodged a bullet when folks struggle with these and then understand. I know that they are challenging, but these are the things that keep me designing. I got bored with the status quo (in regards to published patterns) back in the 1970's as a kid. Finding a cables leaflet (by the late Annie Ough) breathed new life into this craft for me.

Oh dear! You can always send photos to me at bonniebay@me.com to help figure out this issue. did you skip 2 sts between each wattle stitch? When working the [fpdc, bpdc] at the beginning and ending of the row did you work 5 repeats (over 10 sts)? Just trying to troubleshoot this with you Zelphia.

Yes I did I ripped it out and started over I messed up somewhere and I’ll figure it out. I determined I’ll let you know what happens. I thank you and appreciate all you do.

@@zelphiacalhoun5010 another thing to check is the half-double crochets in between the 3 post clusters. It can be easy to double dip and add stitches there. Been there, done that!

Thank you so much for your reply. I've made the Celtic Throw with your tutorial this past summer. Enjoyed this very much. I've just completed the wheat cabled scarf. Now I'm working on the Shannon's Wandering throw. I've written down the cable changing schedules and it's very confusing, so this is why I'd love to get the written pattern. Thank you for your time. Virginia Hannah
