    I just picked this up a couple of weeks ago. It's an amazing shooter, excellent ergos, great fit finish, extremely reliable and absolutely beautiful. And as far as people having an issue with the price tag, I think it's more than fair considering what some of the competition is charging for their metal frame guns. I have a Sig aluminum frame 320 that cost over 1,400, and a 226 that was 12 or 1300 so I think the price on this is absolutely Fair. Thanks for giving us your experience on this.

      Agreed 100%. Before the Sig P320 AXG, Walther released the metal Q4 SF and the Q5 SF (for competition shooting) and those are still more than the M&P 2.0 Metal. The M&P Metal is priced very competitively and is the best value if you want a metal frame, striker fired pistol.

    I purchased the 'Metal' about a month ago. Love it. I found the prickly front strap 'mellows' eventually and isn't as annoying as when it first came out of the box. Initially I thought this was just my hand getting used to it. However, when I grip it with my non-dominant hand, it feels the same. So, I'm inclined to believe it does dull down a bit.

    Thanks for the review. I guess the question I would have would be, does the stiffer metal frame and the new trigger actually result in real world accuracy that is better than the polymer frame 2.0 with the old style trigger? To me, that is what I would want to know in making the decision as to which one to buy.

    They should’ve stopped doing three dot sights once they stop doing Saxophone solos in a rock song..

    Like the rest of the M and P 2.0 models, the loaded chamber indicator is directly in front of the optics cut which allows gas/soot to build up on the front of your optic lens after about 100 rounds.

      It's so over priced .trigger is not an improvement. The aluminum is as this as tinfoil. All you milinials and smith apologist have to like it or admitt they just blew 8 to 900 dollars. Lmao........

    It's finish reminds me of the 'old' satin nickel finish on the old Desert Eagle, just a little bit darker.

    IMO when using 2 handguns 1 of metal frame and 1 of polymer of the same caliber, load and approximately the same grip size I find the felt recoil response is different in "feel" rather than amount. My perception is the polymer frame gun (though lighter) feels like the recoil impulse flexes the frame. The metal frame is a shorter recoil impulse. Just what I have felt over several different makes and models in metal and polymer.

    My question is this: how does that Cerakote finish hold up to holster wear? I have heard mixed reviews on that kind of finish, a lot saying that it tends to rub off fairly easy through use.

    • @earldelsanto
      @earldelsanto 3 месяца назад +1

      Yup then the aluminum will dent and scratch with and holster carry use. What a miss. Worst smith since the original smegma I mean sigma

    I can't believe some folks going on about the grip panels. I have Talon Granulated Grips on my guns, they are far more aggressive than the stock M&P grips. Suck it up butter cup, too many snowflakes nowadays.

    Good review.dose it bother anyone else the site cover is plastic on the metal gun. I would have preferred a metal plate to go with the metal these. Im an old fashioned tradisional site guy .dont want any electronic site or gizmo sticking out. Really looks lame. i sometimes drop my jandguns and I know that would destroy site. But worse is the plastic footprint. I see the screws breaking or pulling out with a drop. No its just to fragile.what say others????????
