I think that this song accompanied with the video is a whole lot better than trent realizes. I remember watching the video which was the first time I had heard song also and being completely blown away. The feeling and colour of the song/videos mood was definitely a high point of the 90's. Even though it was directly written for Lost Highway it is still undeniably well written. Be proud Trent.
One of my favorite NIN songs and Vids, so glad you did it all things considered Trent!
While he brings up alot of good points, this is one of the greatest music videos of all time and an ultimite classic.
i've always wondered, the three other fellows in the video, "playing" the intro to the song, and then again at the end, are they, possibly, Danny, Charlie, and Chris?
well, beside all that what he felt during creation of this song and video.. i like it both very much. to me, it's one of the best nin songs. like lyrics very much, and music too, especially drum and bass sound.. and end ofcourse. it reminds me of something. and someone.. i'm glad he made that song, cause it's more than a song to me.

That video, and that song, murders every current so-called "musical artists" with AWESOMAGE bullets. And then it became an orz dirge for them.
Somebody should find Trent and tell him that his hard work paid off way more than he believes.

I agree because I thought the same thing what he is saying about himself, I saw him as a character and not something that was part of him.

I used to love this video and song so I'm a bit surprised to hear that he didn't like this song...matter of fact this song to me was better than Closer. The video to me was just Bram Stroker Dracula and I used to love that flick. I used to be pretty twisted back then.

Trent does the blowhard egotist thing in the commentary where he asks himself questions and answers them: "Is it an interesting thing to do? Yes. Will it be well done? Yes. But is it the right thing for *me* to do?" ...At least, he's rarely like this in other interviews.

this entire era for trent was a bit odd - he felt very missportraid (is that a word) by warner bros. i'm glad that he seperated from them otherwise we might not even have him today
