I've been building wheels all my life and when they were made in America they were dam near perfect . Now they are made in china most rims come all wonked out and can't be perfectly trued . Then you have to ballance the wheel before installing the tire witch i do by grinding weight off the heavy spot . Then when i install the tire i don't have to use as much in spoke weights . Never use tire beads they destroy a tire from inside out . But ya even new bikes wheels are so far out you just want to screem at the idiots who allow them to go out and onto someones bike puting them in danger

That is a sad state of affairs, I'm glad all my wheels are old enough to still be of good quality.

tire beads they destroy a tire from inside out. i get 20k miles on my car tires and they are just fine. if you think that rim or wheel is out of balance, just wait until you install the brake drum.
have yiu ever checked how true a tire is after its installed? best you don't look.
