You're a lot faster at this than I am LOL love your videos
Thank You. Guys that do it every day, they're fast.
Interesting! Glad you showed how it's done.. That's some knolage that not allot know. And good to pass on. I might even give it a try some day.
Thanks for sharing. 👍👍✌
Thank You.
A true artist at work. What a professor! Easy to tell how much you love what you are doing, and that makes the best instructor. Thanks again!
Wow, thank you!
Thank for making it look simple .
Thank You.
I've trued plenty of wheels in my 70 years, and this gentleman Mike Has It Down.
My bicycles take a beating and need re-laced regularly & trued on my stand.
The Superglide has seen many 'adjustments' in its 45 years under me too.
My spoke tension gauge is helpful, too. Ringing spokes works too, whatever.
Thank You. All the ways of doing it are legitimate. If you have a nice, true wheel with even torque all the way round, it's a great wheel. Wait 'til I balance one on the channel and we get to find out how everyone does that.
Beautiful wheel.... Great work.... Art work..... Thank you Mr Mike and Garage. ..thank you for being there brother
Thank You.
Mike, Thank you, I didn't know how to do this. Now I do, thanks to you!!!!!!
Thank You.
That was clear enough for me to think about trying to build a wheel for myself. And that Sir, is the highest praise one can give a teacher, which you certainly are. I'd rather listen to you, than most of the teachers I have encountered in my checkered past.
We've all been there. I try to explain it the same as if I were trying to understand it. I didn't like the teachers I had in school. But I sure liked the old bikers who took the time to teach me. Thank You.
Cool video Mike, makes me want to check on my front tire!
Thank You.
I need to remove it soon, and tackle a fork oil leak. An assembly of a hydraulic fork video would definitely get a thumbs up
You make that look easy. I love to see your videos.
Thank You.
Great job brother,,never been able to learn that from anybody else,,but got it the 1st time ,,,you are a great teacher,,keep it up,,watching from martinsville va.
Thank You.
Mike, you sure took the mystery out of my much taboo topic and made it very easy and clear to understand.Im saving these vids for future projects and to that,I thank you.
That's great. Thank You.
It brings back memories, and years before the motorcycle wheels I used to build and true the wheels in the bicycle store on the English racer you had to Dish the real wheel, that's compensating for the gear cluster. And you are absolutely right it is therapy
Cool. Thank You.
Great Video! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for class today
Thank You.
Love it. Brilliant stuff, thanks so much Mike. Regards from the UK.
Thank You. Backatcha.
hands down best video on lacing Ive seen.
Glad you think so!
Thanks for keeping it wheel.
Could not have said it better. That was wheel nice.
👍😊
Thanks for taking the mystery out of lacing & truing Mike....See you out on the road.
Thank You. I look forward to it.
Damn sounds like my dad back in the good old days. We made wheels for my old Schwinn bike.
Back in the banana seat days
Cool.
Very Interesting Mike - Really enjoyed this video & i have to say all your videos are just great & You are a great guy ! Stay Safe Mike & all your Loved ones ! - John - Canada .
Thank You. Take care John.
Thanks for your videos,,it brought back some stuff I had forgotten and you taught me a few new things. Keep the info videos come very helpful.. again thanks Mike....
Thank You.
Simply the best videos. :-)
Wow, thanks!
Thanks for the video. I was a cyclist, riding road bicycles long distances, before I got into motorcycles; and I true my own bicycle wheels. Truing bicycle wheels is exactly the same as truing motorcycle wheels; and truing bicycle wheels is a good way to learn, less expensive and less critical.
Good stuff!
Thank you sir,PEACE.
And, peace be with you.
Mike... Great job on the wheel build... and I like your toque wrench and planing to make one for a bicycle spoke nipple size.. I have built a few thousand bicycle wheels over the last 35 plus years.. I have a few tricks.. To get the wheels centered a quick way is to set the indicator rod on the side of the rim remove it from the stand leaving the axles in place and flip the wheel from side to side...if the indicator is in the same spot you know the wheel is centered..
I have brazed a 1/4 ball bearing on the indicator pointer and it keeps the rim from getting scratched and it is easy to see the gap between it and the rim surface.. I rub bees wax on the threads of the spokes and it lubricates it a little when you thread it on to the nipple and eventually acts like a mild form of Locktite.. Linseed oil works well too...
Thank You. Thanks for the "methods."
Thanks Mike, this is important information and nothing to shortcut.
Glad it was helpful!
wow your a master of tuition mike i would never of know about trueing up and down. theres a lot too it but i fully understand how to tackle the job now thank you 👍🇬🇧
Thank You.
You are a huge asset. I especially love the part about leaving it overnight just to see if it settles. I've seen that happen by moving a rim. 😳
Yes! Thank you!
Mike, have seen a few video's, on re-spoke and trueing a wheel, this is the best show how and explanation on how to. THANKS Again. By The WAY Nice wheel.
Thank You. I try to explain it as I understand it to be.
Another great and informative video. I really appreciate your tone, delivery and wisdom on your instructional here. Now I want to build a wheel myself, I'm just not equipped to do so. Watching you work is a great pleasure. You have the qualities of a great teacher.
God Bless
Wow. Thank You.
I have no problem with rough quickies the old lady likes them to lol great video as always
Alrighty then. Thank You.
Thanks for another helpful video!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video!
Thanx for watching.
I am going through a certain school to be a motorcycle mechanic and the way they are trying to “teach” how to do this is bs. We have 4 hours of lab and a classmate and I spent almost all of it trying to figure out how to do it. We weren’t even close. After watching this video I can 100% say I can go back Monday and nock it out. Thank you so much for making this video!!
Thank you. Glad you find it useful.
I'd sit here and watch you truing it for several hours. Like you say it's relaxing, and satisfying!another great video! Thanks for sharing.
Thank You.
Thanks for being you man !!! And thank you so much for this video because I’ve got the ones that came with this moon lol
Glad I could help!
well i'll be dipped, been building m/c's for over 40 years and first time i've heard of a tprque setting for spokes, but makes sense. Thanks for the lesson Mike, back in the shop tomorrow to fine tune my wheel build.
I get my specs from Buchanan Spoke and Wheel. I try to learn from people. They've got it down. Thank You.
Lovin it , cant wait to see the tyres : }
Thank You. Trying to put money in the right places and order.
Hello Mike. I'm glad to see you're okay. It's the first time I've seen a wheel mounted like this. It's really worth seeing, but it's not that easy to do in my opinion. Thanks in advance for the info, it was worthwhile to iook again. grtz Erwin
Thank You.
Thanks for this video😊
Welcome 😊
Great vids, learning a lot from you :D
Cool. Thank You.
Great video mike!
Thank You.

Thank you for taking the time to explain what has always been a mythical process. Finally I think I understand it.
Cool. Thank You.
I’ve always wondered. Thanks for teaching me
Happy to help!
Nice Lesson. Thanks Mike.
My pleasure!
Making my day, keep up the good work. Hopefully one day ill get to meet you at a bike show I'm working on a RUclips channel with my buddy called rattle trap, I would love a interview with you and to hear some stories.
Cool. And, I'm interested in what you're doing. Looking forward to meeting you.
Great stuff Mike!
Thank You.
Another great video! Never knew how to do that. Love it!
Glad you liked it!
Hi Mike, a realy nice Video. I never seen a Torque Wrench for Wheel Spokes. Cool. Your Harley become a wonderful Look with this Wheel. Kind Regards from Mike
Thank You. And backatcha.
Thanks Mike. Made it easy to understand the process.
Glad it helped!
Now I think I can tackle my 74 sporty rear rim in desperate need of new spokes .
Thank you .
George
Thank You. Take it slow.
awesome!!
Glad you think so!
What a great vid that helped me big time
Glad it helped
A suggestion to prevent the "too close pointer squeal": a piece of chalk, or soapstone. Set your pointer with a nominal 1/4 inch gap to the rim, then lay the chalk or soapstone against the side of the pointer. Slowly spin your rim, and slowly advance the chalk toward it. Once the chalk hits a high spot, it leaves a mark, but no scratches. Adjust, repeat ad nauseam. Granted, a dial indicator is still the right tool for final accuracy, but the chalk mark method will get you WAY close, and not endanger your rim finish in any way. I agree Mike, truing will teach you patience, or teach you the manly art of cursing at the top of your voice and tossing tools across the shop, rofl.
Thank You.
Mike you make this easy to watch
Cool. Thank You.
Thanks for sharing Mike! Have a great day
Thanks, you too!
As always, another excellent video where I learned a lot! Thank you @Pacific Mike for sharing your knowledge with us!
My pleasure!
Thanks for making that easy you explained it very well
You're very welcome! Thank You.
Great job as usual, Mike! Thank you very much for sharing your priceless knowledge. This is art.
Thank You.
Great video - very useful demonstration 😊
Thank You.
Great Video Mike, your no doubt one of the best at your game. If you like what you do, then you will never work a day in your life.
You're right. I enjoyed my work. Now I'm retired. I only play. That was the plan.
Great vid mike!
Thank You.
Therapy and knowledge continues beautiful!!!!
Thank You.
Another great video Mike...simply and straight forward instructions...

Good stuff Mike - keep up the good work. I'm working on my bike right along these videos.
Cool. Thank You.
Now I know. Thanks for sharing 👍🏻
Thank You.
THANK YOU...for sharing. Fantastic information here, thank you for sharing it, you're how to's are freaking great.
Thank You.
I just watched the video twice. I learned more the second time through. I appreciate what you do Mike. I'm going to look for a secondhand truing stand, and do my next wheel myself! Thanks mate!
Glad it was helpful! You know, I forgot to mention it, but, an inexpensive way to go is a used swingarm.
Mr Mike awsome job explaining this. Thank you and stay safe.
Thanks, you too!
Thanks, Mike! I'm putting Boranni aluminum rims on a new project bike, so this video is very confidence-inspiring. I'm going to give it a try and save $100 per wheel!
Do it because you can, not to save money. If you really want it true, it's labor intensive. Enjoy doing it. See how true you can make it.
Fantastic work Mike.
Thank You.
Great looking wheel Mike! I can’t wait to see the front end. I understand what you mean by centering. When I changed the rear wheel to my 1970 Sportster to a 5.00X16, I had to offset it a little to clear the chain and center the wheel in the rear fender.
Yep, been there more than once.
A piece of blue painters tape is your best friend when doing this, helps you mark the high or low spots.
Sometimes.
Thank again so much Mike👍👍👍
Thank You.
Excellant tutorial Mike and I thank you, I really enjoyed it! What a nifty procedure. I would enjoy doing this for myself.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've been really enjoying this, understandable and concise teaching.
That's exactly what I hope to hear. Thank You.
There it is!! Great work Mike
Thank You.
Awesome video that's a beautiful wheel
Thank You.
Great video! This is becoming a lost art.
Thank You.
you make that look easy mike
It's really not so bad. I even like it. The payoff is sooo cool.
Even though I already know how to do this it just relaxes me so much to see you do it. Thank you so much for your amazing content
Thank You.
Another great video iam not afraid to do my wheels now.
Cool. And Thank You.
I’ve always wondered how to true a wheel the correct way. Thank you Mike for the fantastic video!
Thank You.
Mike keep saying there it is cause that’s your trademark I like it

Thank You.
Gdaya, Mike; Another great video, With your help I have no doubt about relacing my own front wheel, Thanks for the Video. Thanks Mate ;)
Glad to help
I’ve always wondered how this is done. Very very interesting Mike. Thank you for sharing. Keep yourself , family and friends safe👊
Thank You. And, you do the same.

Mike, you are a great teacher, I now understand how too true a wheel and know that it will take time to get good at it.
Thank You. Yah, it takes time.
Wish I viewed this last year. I did my own for my softail last year. Even though a professional bike mechanic gave me an excellent job done. I think I got lucky. When I do my next wheel this is going to make my task much easier
Glad it helped!
Thanks for the upload! I have always done the final tighten by feel but seeing your inch torque wrench idea... i might invest. Im always willing to learn new ways of doing things. Cheers! Al
Me too.Thank You.
Thanks Mike👍😎
Thank You.
Very informative video guys...
My back wheel on my 04 road king 16" spoke needs trued and im doing it myself cause my mechanic is to busy. This is the best video ive seen on truing wheels....tatro machine is pretty good too but i always watch your videos
