All respect, I was standing up for you mechanic, fabricator, all I said was, if I hit the lottery, hire him, to build me 1000, Ironhead, 883,, 1200, FX 750, flat tracker edition, something I could ride on the street, with,a, little, backseat, to take my, nieces, on little rides, during the holidays. And somebody made a ugly comment,, 😔 I don't make much money, but whatever I do make I work for it, My grandmother raised me, she was very dear to me she was the only one to love me and my sister,, if your body you're a somebody, help somebody every chance you get, a good morning,, a cold water to the good old boy working outside in the heat, a cup of coffee on a cold day, people stop judging, God bless all,, love and respect 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

KZ1000 was the first fastest street motorcycle that I ever rode back in 1984. It's a moment in my life that I will never forget.
Mine was a GS1100. Shaft drive. Scary fast and rode like a cloud.😳😬😁

Hey Ian, I've got a ROADKING CLASSIC with no faring, however I do have 2 SS triangular peices bolted to my front down tubes. They're about 3" s wide at the top,tapering to a point at the bottom. I've ridden across the country and in heavy rains," they keep my legs almost dry !

That rear fender was already cut for right hand chain so was already Sportster. (Unless NOT Harley) As for fire extinguisher....Had rebuilt 65 Rambler and had a fresh paint job, so when carb caught fire I grabbed the extinguisher. As motor was running it sucked into the engine. Claned with diesel etc, but engine burned oil after that.

Always have a Halon fire extinguisher around. It is much much MUCH better then powder or water. It chokes the fire and it will not mess up what you are building. There is a reason why all data centers use Halon system. They can flood the server rooms without damaging the servers. If you can´t get Halon then you can get FM-200 or CO2...

I actually had a subscription to East Riders, until the Picture and directions laden 'Do it yourself' segment went to 'Call your local Harley' dealer... Screw that, 2$ spark plugs were $6 with 'Harley' stamped on them made me think about after-market....

I have a kz1000P in my garage that I've owned for over 10 years. The day I rode it home I almost died on it, (Got hit by a dodge 4 door 4wd) So I will never get rid of it.
I got three of those bikes. Check out the experimental aircraft association. You'll find out you can use styrofoam to make your shape and then coat it and then lay up your fiberglass.
